lupin_is_4ever
Hi. Today I got the Lupin OST from Sam Goody and I was wondering where everyone makes their anime purchases at when it?s online. I was thinking of buying my anime stuff through Anime Castle mainly because they accept Money Orders ? I don?t have a credit card ? and I thought it was pretty good. Btu I was wondering what everyone else thought. What?s your fave online anime store and why? Would u recommend it to anyone else? Thanks, Lucy-chan. Anyone have the Lupin The Third Chronicle Chateau De Cagliostro Music CD and the Lupin the Third: Walther P38 Original Sound Track? I saw these at Anime Castle and was wondering if I should buy them or not. Anyone else have them yet? Any good? I was hoping to add them to my collection of Lupin stuff? Solo Tremaine
I avoid Anime Castle like the plague because every CD they have is made by pirate companies. SonMay, Ever Anime- they're the chief suppliers of their Japanese anime soundtracks and I'd much rather give money to those who deserve it. Generally, I use CDJapan. They have a fantastic range and I'd be surprised if there was any anime thing there you wanted that they didn't have. It's not exactly cheap, but at least I know I'm getting my money's worth and that the right artists are getting it too. Not to mention that the shipping's incredibly efficient, coming straight from Japan.
Dagger
I buy most of my anime through TRSI (The Right Stuf International). Their everyday prices aren't so hot, but their weekly specials and studio sales beat pretty much everything else available online--I refuse to use eBay, and I've had some bad experiences with Deep Discount DVD. TRSI's customer service is basically unparalleled, and several prominent representatives actually post at DVD-oriented anime forums. So if you have problems with them, it's easy to find a solution. For pre-orders, I generally turn to Target. Their pre-order prices (especially misprices) frequently undercut Amazon's, and I've never had them cancel a misprice. That's a big plus when they get end up getting the same crazy misprices as Amazon, since Amazon always cancels. ~Dagger~
QuincyArcher
i pretty much buy everything off of EBay, dvds don't usually get much higher than $20-22 brand new. although i did pre-order the Samurai Champloo vol. 1 w/box off AnimeNation for $30, they occaisionally have some good deals. Gatsu
I use Anime Nation, even thought their prices aren't the best they have great customer service and I live a state away so I get my order within 24-48 hours for the price of ground shipping. I have had some terrible experiences with Right Stuf.

In terms of distance, I've had similar luck when it comes to Amazon and Target (which ships through Amazon). Even if I pick free shipping, most items arrive in a day or two; they must have a large warehouse fairly close to where I live, or something to that effect. It's just too bad that Amazon's regular (and to a lesser extent, pre-order) prices aren't at all competitive, even with Share the Love and all that jazz. ~Dagger~

My grandmother called them and they said that none of the shirts were in stock and that they had called us but no one answered, that wasn't true because my grandmother had been home or I had been over at her house and no one had called. When we told them that no one had called they said that it was their policy and we were lying. My grandmother ask them what she was supposed to put under the tree for me for Christmas and they told her to print pictures of the shirts and put them under the tree, my grandma laughed at them and canceled the order. As soon as she canceled the order I called up Animenation, ordered the same shirts and some more and they got there the next day. Occasionally I hear of a good deal on Right Stuf but I would never attempt to make another order with them if for no other reason than their terrible customer service.
