It's done, my good people. This year's Otaku Christmas Special is complete. It took me around six to eight hours to make if you include all the times my computer froze and I lost what I was working on, but I think it turned out just fine and I'm pleased with the results.

This animation seemed bigger than last year's (How The James Stole Christmas), so I decided to split it up into two animations, part one and part two. I'm glad I did because it helped keep the graphics from turning crappy like they did in "How the James..." last year.

But anyways, here are the animations. I took the liberty of uploading "How the James Stole Christmas" as well, for old times sake. Be sure to watch it too if you're up for it. They're both pretty lengthy.

I hope you enjoy. To give you the heads up, it might run a tad slower than it's supposed to if your internet browser is poopy. If it is slow, it's not the animation. Sorry.

"Time for naked!" will forever hold a special place in my memory.

My only gripe is the song lyrics don't exactly scan, but that's a moot point. They're incredibly funny, but takes a few times over to cram into the Rudolph tune exactly. Hardly a major defect, though ^_~

I liked it, it was pretty funny. My favorite bit was all of James' crazy dancing. His character reminded me of Prince Peasley from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, even though Peasley does no dancing whatsoever. lol

When am I ever going to get paid for my appearances in these things? :flaming:

Very funny indeed. Stunt doubles are great :laugh: . Only disturbing thing was the amount of nakedness lol. But, meh, funny all around. I think these type of things that you make would look good as a flash, but that's just me.

[color=#9933ff]Frickin' awesome, DW! ^_^ I've never seen HTJSC (sad but true, =( ), but Syk3 the Corroded Reindeer was just too funny! I was laughing so hard I'm surprised my sister didn't come down and tell me to shut up. ;_;

I absolutely loved the way James came in. It reminded me of a kung-fu/martial arts movie...which somehow reminded me of Kill Bill...which somehow reminded me of Kill Adam. Isn't that weird, considering I don't even know what Kill Adam is about? o_O Talk about strangeness.

Time for Naked was absolutely priceless, and DragonWarrior's appearances always steal the show. ^_~

I loved how you solved his problem by giving him plastic surgery - it's kind of a satire on how focused Americans are on such trivial things as appearance, what with all those plastic surgery shows on TV (extreme makeover and the Swan - which takes average looking women and disfigures them ><). Dr. Phil was also a great character - I can see him saying everything he did. lol.

All in all, I thought this was an absolutely wonderful flash, I will be voting for it in the next OtakuAwards. I can't wait for your next masterpiece, whether it's a flash or a story or an RPG! ^_^ (I may actually sign up this time. ^_~)

This wasn't a Flash animation. If it was a Flash, it'd be just one animation, smaller, have sound and music, better graphics, and rock more. But I'm still figuring Flash out, so it could possibly be used for next year's Christmas special. I hope it will be.

DW, I think it's safe to say this is your best animation yet, even simply from a technical standpoint. Even though the content was laugh-worthy, I found myself more continually impressed by the execution. I really like how you managed to "fake" particular pieces of camera-work, especially the aerial zoom-out shot. The Bumble escape sequence is also very well-conceived...I really get the impression that they're actually running to the left. Nice work.

Content-wise, you get a B+.
Technique-wise, however, I think you get the candy bar...you've earned it. (why do I always find myself quoting Ghostbusters when I reply to your threads?!? lol)
