Nicknames, who has the, what are they, and how did you get them?

[FONT=Times New Roman]Nicknames, huh? I've had my fair share.

My first name is Patrick, so there are the obvious variations on that, i.e., Pat, Patty, Patty Boy, etc. This is funny because my last name is O'Malley. Can you get any more Irish? Maybe if my name was Seamus O'Hoolihan.

One given to me in the sixth grade was Minkus. I only learned a few years ago that Minkus is some obnoxious know-it-all character on Boy Meets World. I wasn't aware of this because I never watch TV. Melts your brain and all that. Especially the Disney Channel, where Boy Meets World is conveniently placed. I suppose back then I did sort of share a personality with him, so after a particular display of my knowledge, one of the jerk classmates says, "Minkus, Minkus, Minkus..." in a sort of condescending tone. Since I was oblivious of the sinister background behind that name, I adopted it as my own, and a good many online screennames were spawned from that.

However, about freshman year, I finally learned the truth. I immediately rejected that nickname and quested for a new one. It took 10 long years, a king's ransom, and my left arm, but I finally gained this current one, Rhym.

No, wait, I remember. I asked my friends what a good new nickname was, and one suggested "Rhym." I like the other story, though.[/FONT]

lol..mine is Rain, Virtrey, and Sweetangel(for some odd reason)..i made Rain, because it describe me calm and sad or moody and changing whenever i feel like it, unpredictable in other words ^_^.

Virtrey, because one day a group of people started insulting my friends and i punched the leader...also my friends gave me the nickname because it means virtue..lol i cant stand people picking on other people.

finally..Sweetangel...I got that by my best friend becuase I listen to everything people say and try to put it in simple words of how i understand...others call me that cause they say i am hot...someone actually told me that i stole pictures of a german model or actress..i proved them wrong..lol they freaked out..but yeah i love to listen to peoples problems and i am somewhat nice to them..if i think what they say needs understanding...^_^'

Everyone in my town who knows me call me Dragon Andante, or Dante for short. This originally was two seperate nicknames. I got the Dragon part from the dragon chain I always wear. I got this chain before my brother left for the navy ages ago and now resides in hawii, lucky bastard... Anyways one day while I was playing basketball, everyone was talking about nicknames for basketball and such. So because of the chain I wore a lot they dubbed me as Dragon. Later on the part Andante came from piano playing. I always liked playing songs in andante. I recall going to a party and getting bored, but since my ride was still there I couldn't go anywhere. Anyways I was explorer the house the party was at and found a nice grand piano. Anyways, I started playing Andante by Mozart. I had the sheet music embeded in my mind, so it was no problem playing it. Anyways, some girl walked in and nearly gave me a heart attack, because when I play I'm pretty oblivious to whats going on around me. So the girl comes over and starts playing a few things herself. This girl looked pretty beautiful to me. Anyways, she asked me what was I just playing and I told her it was Andante by Mozart. She told me she always liked playing songs that were played in andante. I told her that playing things nice and slow can make the music come alive. One thing led to another, and so I was kissing her in that room. Some of my friends came in to get me since they were leaving and interupted us... When the girl left, and I was talking to my friends about it, they decided to call me Andante, better yet, Dragon Andante.

So I turned kicking one guy hard in the stomach knocking, almost all wind out of him okay so he passed out from it. So my friends called me Shen meaning in Japanese - Powerful or Dark which I became later on in my school days when getting into some fights with other students. Well Kusanagi, I've been a perve for a while and at that time I was into Blue Seed my favortie charater Kusanagi was a big perve at times. So I was a perve alot so my friends just ended calling me Kusanagi, getting bored I just put them both together. I came out as a Powerful Perve..[/color][/font]

Back in December 2000 I created a DB series I call DBX(not the Hentai). It revolved around Mirai Trunks and his timeline, 18 years after he destroyed Cell and the androids. In my series he had a family of a wife and two kids.
The eldest of the two was a female named Trohan. Since Vegeta, and King Vegeta were dead that would therefore make Trunks King of the Sayain race, thus making Trohan the princess. The 'X' is merely the abbriviation of Xtreme at the end of DBX.

I've been using it ever since. I do have diffrent names for other places, but I use this one most.

As for real life nick names.. My real name is Becky. My grandma calls be either Becky or Becca, my brother used to call me Sparky(Sparks for short). I have no idea how that came about. Then again, I called him Gordan Elliot and his name is Jordan. o.O Anyway, my cousin calls me Ki, still to this day. When I asked her where she came up with that she said Beck[B]y[/B], so ki! Strange family. My dad calls me Trinity once in awhile or Rachel out of joke, since The Matrix and Mummy movies are my fetishes.

My brother and sister used to act like I was a dog cause Boris is a popular dog name. But currently not really any real nickname. Although I call someone Sponge because he looks like the 'evil sponge' of those stupid so called horror books XD

The nickname Zenriek (or Zen) I made up and it just sorta stuck... I give nicknames to most of my friends 'cause I don't like long names (saying them).
My friend Elyssa, I call her Lyss now. My friend Andrea, I call her Drae (like Dray). Murphy, I call her Murph. Kayla I call Kay. And so on.

Kayla calls me Jam Jam... I really don't like it, but she insists..

I haven't really had that many nicknames in my time, but here's what I've got;

[B]Bungle[/B] - Arghh! This one stuck me for five years, despite my wishes. You see, in high school my brother was given this nickname because, apparently, he looked like a bear from a UK kid's show (A big bear named bungle). When I moved into high school, exactly when my brother left, it got passed on to me. I hated it at first, but I kind of got used to it. Now that I've moved up to college, no one uses this one anymore.

[B]Turnip[/B] - This one was very short term, only lasting a couple of weeks. I was only called it by one person on MSN Messenger, but it was there. It kind of rooted from my strange email address, which involves the word turnip. For a while she'd just say "heya turnip" whenever I started a conversation. It was only a short, isolated nickname, but I have to say I liked that one.

And then there's most other people, who just call me Alex. Hurrah!

Although the guy who gave it to me knows it well, who happens to be the sweetest guy and I love him to bits. It rose into existence when I was boasting my awesome chocolate muffin baking skills.

[b]Moi Juu[/b]: (pronounced literally without that silly Frenchness :P) roughly translated from Chinese it basically means 'little sister "pig" '. It's one of those common terms of endearment that my family called me by. Then when I was about 6yrs old I had major spazzes about it because I suddenly decided to take offence to being called pig. They still occassionally call me that, but I don't really mind anymore.. eh I say, eh.
