Nicknames, who has the, what are they, and how did you get them?

Nicknames...Hmm...

Well, my name is Melissa. For some reason, when I was very young, my family started calling me "Missa," I guess for short. No one calls me that very often anymore, except for my mother and my best friend. (My best friend heard my mom call me that and has used that nickname ever since.)

I used to be called "Goldy-Locks," "Casper," and "Powder," when I was in junior high. (Because I have blonde hair and very, very fair skin.) Again, no one uses any of those very often anymore, except for my best friend. Her dad started calling me Powder when I was a kid, and for her, the name stuck.

Now that I think about it, the only person who calls me by any nicknames, is my best friend. She has created a whole slew of them, including "Missa Walker, Texas Ranger," for obvious reasons. But I'm not as creative as she is...My only nickname for her is "Be-ach."

Nicknames? Well my name is Catherine, so there's Cat...but...
I started calling myself Latharix last year out of simple eccentricity and it finally caught on, well just a little bit, some of my friends call me "La-chan"

well my nickname is zman because durring the football season no one could pronounce my last name so they shortened it to zman and it has stuck sinse then.

Well my first nickname was when I was just a baby. My older brother called me [COLOR=DarkGreen]Boo[/COLOR] apparently when he heard my parents and people calling me a beautiful baby he could completely say the word so that's what he called me. That nick name stuck long enough that I actually remember being called that a few times when I was around 4-5 years old.

Then the next nickname was off my full legal name Elizabeth, some kids at school decided to call me [COLOR=DarkGreen]Lizzy[/COLOR] for what ever reason I absoutly hated that name and would beat up any kid I heard calling me that. I got sent to the principals office over that one quite a few times.

Then I decided when I was ten to give myself a new nickname and started insisting everyone call me [COLOR=DarkGreen]Beth[/COLOR] that worked so well that even to this day everyone knows me as Beth, it might as well be my real name as I've been going by this name longer than I ever did as my real legal name. Plus the only nickname I got called from that was [COLOR=DarkGreen]Bethany[/COLOR] which I actually like.

The only other nick I have is the [COLOR=DarkGreen]Sunfall[/COLOR] that I use for my name online. I've used that one for quite a while too. I like it so much that I actually got my license plates personalized on my car with that name. If anyone has read the Star Trek book Uhura's Song then they will know where the nick SunfallE comes from. Although the character is actually dead in the book, her songs end up being the clue to save an entire race. For what ever reason I have always loved that character in that book. If you like Star Trek and haven't read that one yet, I recommend it as it's one of my favirote books.

My most famous nickname is Ice Eyes. I got it when one of my friends and i were having a staring contest and he said my eyes looked like Ice. That was three years ago.

Another one is VJ, that is what most people call me.
Finally, Vicky is the name teachers call me. I yell when they say my full name and most of them dont like to call me VJ. so it is either Vicky or Vick

[b]Brown berry:[/b] I was always in the sun, and I had this really dark tan most of the time. i would never burn, so my mom ended up calling me her little brown berry. She also would sing the brown girl song. XD

[b]Stef-stef:[/b] That one is from my BFFL, Alia. She calls me Stef-stef whenever she feels bad. -.-

[b]Skye:[/b] That is the name I use most often, online. And it's going to be my stage name. >.>

[b]Chibi-chan[/b]: This one is for Brittany/Alexia. Her nickname used to be Chibi-chibi, so now I call her Chibi-chan. ^_^; She hates it, and she says if I ever call her it out in public, she will swear she doesn't know me.

[b]Tay-chan:[/b] This is my nickname for Taylor. ^_^ Self explanitory.

[b]'Ly:[/b] This is a common nickname for one of my friends, Cecily, who I know from Elfwood. We all call her that, so it stuck.

[b]Jehff:[/b] Okay, his real name has no 'h' in it, but I was playing around with his name and randomly stuck the h in it. He calls me Steph (I usually spell my name Steffanie; so most call me Steff), and I call him Jehff. ^_^ It's funsies.[/size]

I have many nicknames from all of my friends, here at school. Most of them are from cartoons since i like cartoons. Like[B] Sonic[/B], i got from my friends from track for being fast. I also go by Fox, Jeannie in the bottle. But they usually call me[B] Fox[/B]. I dont mind, i love foxes so much that i am glad they call me that. My new friend is now calling me [B]Cat [/B] , because she says i act and sleep like one. ha

[SIZE=1]My brother recently finished Dan Brown's [B]Digital Fortress[/B] and decided in the spirit of celebrating the reading of his first book in months he'd give me the nickname "[I]Jabba[/I]" after the character in the book [who is himself named after the Hutt]. I'm not sure whether I like the name or not because on the one hand Jabba is a giant gastropod in the book, but on the other he is a very intelligent, quick-witted and resourceful character.[/SIZE]
