Sephiroth Posted November 11, 2001 Share Posted November 11, 2001 I have armoured core 2 for the ps2, I played the original one too, the second one is pretty cool, people think it sucks when they first play it, but they need to give it some time, get some cash, upgrade the mechs with new parts and weapons, and your hooked on the game.... Zidargh Posted November 11, 2001 Share Posted November 11, 2001 A really good game for PS2 is Ring of red, this involves partly Mech Warriors as he leaders drive them, these are name AFW'S (Armoured Fighting walkers) I bet everyone's heard of this one for the PSX , Front Mission 3, this is huge and turn based battle system. SephirothNIN Posted November 12, 2001 Share Posted November 12, 2001 When I got my PS2 I bought Summoner with it...played about 15 min and returned it, heh so...horrible...aaaaaah anyway I bought Armored Core 2 after about an hour of pacing back and forth trying to decide what to buy, heh I decided AC2 had the most replay value to tide me over til MGS2/FFX. I thought the PSX one was ok...kinda blah, but AC2 was really fun, except that INSANELY hard guy in the battle arena once you beat the game, gah he kills me in seconds. Anyway yeah the only thing is I wish it was faster, more gundamish too, beam whips and other stuff =\. Missions were fun though, but a little on the blah side scene wise, a base, a field, etc., heh I would've liked to demolish a city, hopefully AC3 will have more things to blow up. [/B][/QUOTE] Then you'll like Zone of the Enders. I have this game, it's really good and when you fight in cities, all the lasers and that,destroy buildings and oher surroundings. Lol even if the game sucked I wouldn't play the demo, it would torture me to play a few hours of a game and then have to wait til it came out...er...til I got it anyways. Yeah ZOE is more actiony, very awesome, BUT, no customizability really, those secondary weapons were pretty useless, except for that beam sword...ah...forget the name at the moment, either way u rarely rely on those weapons =\. I dunno it seemed to take good parts from Diablo like sidequests and butcher them horribly. Heh talking to was boring and uneventful...sword fighting was blah...maybe it gets better on later...I just couldn't stand the beginning, tap tap tap, slash slash slash....why couldn't they just trade insults ala the curse of monkey island? =\...either way AC2 was much more fun, but how the HELL did you beat that last guy in the arena?...er...he is number 60 or something after you win, he's much much MUCH harder than Ares or anyone...ah well it's not TOO worth it, he has some rapid fire laser that takes off a crapload of damage, plus he jumps real high and hits me from there, blargh! [/B][/QUOTE] /me beats all opponents in arena with one hand, while typing with other hand.. Heh, I finished the game as well... All in all, Good graphics, good gameplay...
