Delta
I understand that Art Studio is a place for members to get constructive criticisms for their works but I'll put this one up anyway. I got this idea from another forum I'm frequenting. They have this sort of a graphics battle section where members create graphics contests and pit their skills with each other. Say a member called for a banner battle. He gives the specs (size, theme, etc) and then sets a deadline for members who want to join the battle. Voting occurs on the day of the deadlilne and whoever reaches a certain number of votes first wins. What do you think?
Retribution
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. It's been on other forums, namely TagMonkey.com, but it's been other places too. For the record, I think it's a great idea. Not only does an Art Battle spark competition, it is a way of improving one's skills extremely quickly. By being directed to make a banner that's a certain length, height, and theme, it could be a way of refining certain skills. Heck, you could even have a strictly filter or brush battle. I vote Ay for it.
James
We've had several of these battles before in Art Studio. There's no need to vote for it; if you want to, go ahead and do it. You can do anything art-related in that forum, so long as it's not against the rules. ^_^
Baron Samedi
As James said, these kind of things have happened a lot before. I would join, as I used to be a... banner maker of some renown... but I probably won't, seeing as I rarely visit Art forum now. But, anyway it's a good, and viable idea as previous attempts have shown :)
