Unwanted spaces...

I don't know if anyone has experienced this, but in a lot of my posts and more importantly my signature, a lot of unwanted spaces appear out of seemingly no where. When I edit my post and/or signature, it will look different when I preview it then it does in the editor, and the saved result will look different from both.

It's very annoying, to say the least. Any information?

[FONT=book antiqua][SIZE=2][COLOR=blue]Easy solution. Some tags create one new line by default, so you don't need to do a space after using them. Instead, keep it on the same line and you'll notice that they will be one line apart when you actually apply the sucker. Case and point:
[QUOTE]This is a quote tag, followed by an enter[/QUOTE]
Notice the distance. Now, I'll use the quote tags again, but write without going to a new line. [QUOTE]This a quote tag, not followed by an enter[/QUOTE] See, now there is less wasted space. If any of this is confusing, just quote me and see what exactly I wrote and notice how it varies

I had issues like that as well when I used to use the WYSIWYG editor, especially when I was posting in an RPG which required lots of paragraphs and spaces and the likes. I have no idea why in the world it would happen, but after I'd post the post there'd be these huge horrible spaces between my posts and when I went back in to re-edit them, all of the paragraphs would be grouped together instead of spaced in the editing box. So that helped lead to my "WYSIWYG editor does not exist, never existed and even if it did exist I would never ever use it again" phase as you could call it.

Meaning I quit using the thing and went back to the standard text box editor.

But if you're not using the WYSIWYG editor, then just listen to what Azure said. And if you are using it, I say downcast the evil editor! Cast it into the flames and forever condemn it! ^_^;[/size][/color]

[color=#811C3A]I have this problem at times in the WYSIWYG editor too -- the way it interprets spacing can be a little odd. Generally it's okay, but you have to know those tiny quirks I think.

I'm unsure if we can fix that problem, but hopefully Justin will see this thread and he might have an idea about it.[/color]
