PWNED
My favourite Seiryu in all anime is Megumi Ogata who was Shinji in Neon Genesis Evangelion (Japanese Version) or Shelly Callene-Black who was the english actor for Cleao in Orphen or Mirielle in Noir. Ogata is an excellent voice actor and Callene-Black is also good. I'm not acting like these two are the best of the best (I owe this honour to another Megumi)but they are the ones I can remember. My favourite anime song ( As in played during scenes or title/ credit sequences) would have to be Ride on Shooting Star by The Pillows which was the theme for Furi Kuri. Most people would argue with my choices but they are personal favourites and you don't have to agree with me. And when you state who and what they are please give a decent reason
Pumpkin
Hmm my favorite Seiryuu? would probably have to be Megumi Hayashibara, her most famous works I would say are from Love Hina as Haruka and Cowboy Bebop as Faye. But mostly, if you want to see every anime she's been in take a look at this link [http://www.tcp.com/~doi/seiyuu/hayashibara-megumi/roles.html] She's amazing and I love the sound of her voice. No one could make an anime sound more at home to me. Also I prefer the music of Slayers the most, although I don't think I could pick a favorite ;) there are just too many great songs out there that I enjoy! Dagger
I could have sworn that "seiyuu" is the more common term, so I've edited the thread title accordingly (so as not to confuse anyone). It took me a second or two to figure out what you were talking about, heh. ^_^;; Obviously talking about Japanese voice actors is fine in this context, but if you'd like to discuss English voice actors in depth, try posting in this thread. I also don't know if it's a good idea to mix music with this topic, but I'm not going to meddle with that for now. My favorite seiyuu is Mitsuki Saiga. She has this amazing deep voice, and she can play male characters more convincingly than most women who specialize in that sort of thing. But she sounds incredibly sexy in female roles, too--it's a shame that she doesn't play too many women. I really relished hearing her as Kei in the second season of Maria-sama ga Miteru, and thanks in large part to her delivery, Chie has become my favorite character from Mai-Hime. Some male seiyuu I particularly love hearing-- Kazuhiko Inoue [Yuki in Gravitation] Kouki Miyata [Kantarou in Tactics, Murata in Kyo Kara Maoh] Sho Hayami [Naoe in Mirage of Blaze, Muraki in Descendants of Darkness] Souichiro Hoshi [Sky Blue in Melody of Oblivion, Sunao in Sukisho] Takahiro Sakurai [Susumu in Peacemaker, Haruka in Tactics, Orpherus in Meine Liebe] Takehito Koyasu [Keiki in Twelve Kingdoms, Yoru in Sukisho] Toshihiko Seki [Riki in Ai no Kusabi, Takuya in Mirage of Blaze, Ludwig in Meine Liebe] I'll mention the other female seiyuu I like later... I'm a little too tired to list them right now. -_- ~Dagger~
Monkey_Orange
Ooo...seiyuu *^_^* The sound of the seiyuu can make quite an impact on how I feel towards certain characters...and the anime in general. But since I'm a proud fangirl, I shall admit that I pay more paticular attention toward that male seiyuu as opposed to the female ones ^^;; -- unless they are female playing a male role. My top 3 'ear'-gasmic seiyuu include: Junichi Suwabe [Fuma fr. X TV, Atobe fr. Prince of Tennis] Inuoe Kazuhiko [Eiri fr. Gravitation, Hatori fr. Fruits Basket] Sho Hayami [Naoe fr. Mirage of Blaze, Father Remington fr. Chrno Crusade] Definite ear candy *drools*
QuincyArcher
I would have to say my favorite voice actor is Kawasumi Ayako (Mahoro from Mahoromatic, Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi, Fuu from Samurai Champloo, Miharu from Girls Bravo and many others) she has a very smooth, somewhat high-pitched voice and can play a vast variety of characters very well. Matsuoka Yuki is another great Seiyuu (Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, Nana from Elfen Lied, Risa from Girls Bravo and Kuriko from Maburaho) she plays her characters so well that its hard to tell that it is in fact her doing the Seiyuu for all the other characters. As for music in anime, Orange Range doing the opeing theme for Bleach was really good. I also really liked both the opening and closing themes for School Rumble (I had the opening theme from this one stuck in my head for weeks.) Redemption
My favourite voice actors would be: Crispin Freeman - Amon (Witch Hunter Robin), Tsume (Wolf's Rain), Balmung (.hack series) Dan Green - Yami Yugi (Yu-gi-oh!) Monica Rial - Kirika Yuumura (NOIR) Brianne Siddall - Tsukasa (.hack//SIGN) Johnny Yong Bosch - Kiba (Wolf's Rain) And whoever does Dark's voice from DNAngel. And my fave music. kabapu
my favorite seiyuu would be kotono mitsuishi - who plays the voice of excell excell, high pitched fast talking rules. my favorite anime theme tune would probably be love isn't that, performed by the excel girls, which is the theme tune for quack experimental anime: excel saga. kennet1977
For the first half of this question I have no answer for since I am not sure of that myself. as for the second half of the question, my favorite music is pretty much all of the music from Cowboy Bebop, I really enjoy all of Yoko Kanno's music and like listening to it frequently. I would have to say that one of the songs that I like the most from Cowboy Bebop would be Call Me can't say why though, I just like it.
Delta
After hearing Escaflowne's Allen Schezar (sp?), I found out that I had this amazing ability to tell Shinichiro Miki's voice apart from everyone else's. I don't know; it sounds so sexy without being too bedroom-ish. Probably a result of watching too much Yami no Matsuei. *shrugs* A! here's another one: Hayami Sho, Muraki's seiyuu. I absolutely adore his deep voice. Very bedroom-ish. (Off topic: Just found out that he's older than my mother. So o_O) Sakamoto Maaya is one of them seiyuus with a decent singing voice. Erhm, I think that's why she ends up singing at least a song for many of her projects (Wolf's Rain, Earth Girl Arjuna and The Vision of Escaflowne to name a few). I love her.

duoikari
Hi everyone i'm back, from the planet Juari!. i just wondered what is the best or your favourate anime theme tune. Not the tune as such but the opening as well. Mine would have to Excel Saga and Rave master they are just so funny. So what's your favourate? :catgirl:
Delta
Hmm... That's a tricky one. I've pretty much exhausted my list of favorites, thanks to similar threads-- Ah, here we go: From 777 to 666 Hellsing Alright, it's just an instrumental (at least I think it is); does it count? It starts off with a pretty kiddie pop-ish tune with an overlay of children's laughter. That would be the '777' part. Then the tune dies down and gives way to the sound of a deranged cackle (is that what you call it? Think 'Ohohohoho!'-type of laugh). Creepy organ music kicks in and completes the '666' theme. Clever. Freaked out the first time I heard it; loved it since.
Bloodseeker
I like Cruel Angels Thesis from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I don't think that any other anime theme song has had near as many hours stuck in my head as that one. I also like the .hack opening and ending themes. The rest of the .hack music sucks, though. So damned depressing...
Twilight_Kioku
well, i dont know any names, but i know some characters english/japanese Kyo Sohma(fruits basket) english Shigure Sohma(fruits basket) english Haruko (FLCL) english Flaye (Gundam Seed) even though i didnt like the character english that one guy whos always going on about his daughter in Full Metal Alchemist music....ohhhh....i dont got an individual fav! its a tie between Rakuen ~Fanatic~ and Kodou ~Whenever~, both from DNAngel. after that, most of the non-violin music from .hack//SIGN, the Hellsing music, and Heavens Not Enough, from Wolfs Rain. AkinaRose
Megumi Ogata is my favorite voice actor too. I just love what she's done with the voices of Kenshin and Kurama! Kurama especially, 'cause he's my favorite anime character! As for music, I love the beginning and ending themes to Please Twins!, if anyone's watched that before. Of course, the music to Yu Yu Hakusho is awesome, too.
NinjaJedi007
Yui Horie is one of my favorites. she just has such a cute voice that i cant help but love everytime i hear it. her voice is Narusegawa from Love hina and Hitomi from Dead or alive. Yui Horie is so cool! i cant really decide on a favorite song. there are just so many. the intro and ending for Cutey honey are really good. very upbeat and catchy. Zephyr
I would have to say that Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is my favorite seiyuu. She adds interesting life to each character she voices, and was a perfect choice to play Helba in the .Hack series. In close second would have to be Monica Rial for the work she did with the character Kirika in Noir. As far as music goes I truely enjoy the works of Yuki Kajiura. Most music composers try to create something completely modern, but Yuki Kajiura's music combines both a classical and a modern feel. I escpecially like the work she does with string instraments like guitars and violins.
xmystic_silverx
Some of my favorite seiyuus are: Toru Okawa (Roy Mustang - Fullmetal Alchemist) Naomi Wakabayashi (Sciezka - Fullmetal Alchemist) Miina Tominaga (Ritsu - Fruits Basket) Satsuki Yukino (Kaname Chidori - Full Metal Panic!) Megumi Oogata ( Kurama - Yu Yu Hakusho) I really enjoy Sciezka's voice. Everytime I hear it I start to laugh. I love a seiyuu's voice that can make me laugh. Ritsu and Kaname's voices are also very comical. As for Toru and Megumi, I just think they do a really good job. XD

Otaku America
My favorite seiyuu would have to go to Toshiyuki Morikawa. The voice of Captain Alex Row in Last Exile. He has a voice that I can easily recognize thanks to my favorite fighting videogames that he has taken a part in. Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur II), Ryu (Street Figher Alpha 3), Kazuya (Tekken 4), and to top it off, these are my favorite characters I always play with. :animeblus The only other anime's I can remember his voice in, are Berserk (Griffith), Appleseed CG Movie (Yoshitsune), Bleach (Kurosaki Isshin), Full Metal Panic Fumoffu (Atsunobu Hayashimizu), Inuyasha (Naruku), Trigun (Kesskass), Saiyuki (Homura). :animeswea My favorite music no doubt has to be the opening to Elfen Lied. Lilium by Kumiko Noma. When you hear this music, you know sorrow is coming. :animecry:
