Retribution
I decided to play around with text in an image on friday night. The result was the 'Poetic Art' thread. I wanted to take it a little bit further, using real pictures to convey a very real emotion. So, what better photo to use than Gravity? None. So I used it, then asked Juu later, which she approved. I thought I'd post it here to show you all. It's too large to be an attachment. Juu
Yis, astounding touch to my original, grainy photo, lol. I particularly like the font you chose. And yes, you read my mind as to how I was feeling/what I was thinking at the time. Very nice. Looking forward to collaborating with you (hopefully!) in the future. :whoops:
Retribution
Alright! I'd be happy to collaborate on another work sometime. I just didn't want to keep on asking you, for fear of being annoying. Just gimme a holler when you want to do something with me, be it editing a photo .. well, anything I guess. Epsilon
Juuthena, your photography skills are amazing. Altron, I really adore the way you've blended in the wave/curve/frame and then choose to over-lay/manipulate/etc. rather then leaving it solid. Along with the words that go horizontally on the photograph it's self. It gives the image more of an 'edge' and is a very effective way to convey your message. You've done a nice use of 'white space' effect, as well. Along with thought and/or ideal of 'Imagine' adding more to the other black text that you've added in the image. That really helped to contrast to the white text used. There is only one thing that seems off to me. Which is how high the wave/curve/frame edge comes in relation to the top of the image. I think that it could, possibly, end two pixels higher. Great job.
Retribution
Well, I wish I guess I could edit it to do that, but I wasn't really worrying about that. I guess I could stretch it maybe 1% more. It's not a wave. It's a { sign thingy at 500pt font. What I did by including the brace is to basically say "This is what this photo's emotion is" without tediously typing it out. Besides, I threw the words inside of it to do that instead. I'm grateful that people liked the way the text was added. I didn't want to put anything in that no-mans-land, forbidden white space. But it was perfect for the word 'imagine.' I was worried that people wouldn't be able to read the text on the brace, but realized later that the emotion here isn't something clean and tidy or complete. It's a jumbled cocktail of feelings, which is what I tried to go for. Thank you very much for your feedback.
Juu
Yis, and the white space is part of the original photo. :)
Hevn
That was really cool. I really love the foggy green hue you added. The concept of using the { sign is just awesome. I lik how you made it non-foggy or something and the words (and font!) are just perfect. Kudos to you and to sweet Juu!
