What part do you start on first when you draw?

It really depends what you like best. I start with the outline of the head, then the nose, eyes, mouth, and last comes hair. I then proceed to draw the body of the character (very lightly in pencil) and then erase the outline of the body to add clothes. I have found this method very effective. You can look at some of my artwork in my sig.

Depends on the hairstyle really, but I always start with the head. For example, if I was drawing.. oh let's say.. Vegeta, then I'd start at the tip of his widows peak and work my way left, filling in the rest of the right side when it comes time. Then I move on to the body which is the easiest part. The head of anybody always takes me a bit longer.

I do the outline of the head first, and add the ears then add the hair then draw the facial features. I start out with the eyebrows first cuz' they kinda' help keep everything else in perspective then I draw the eyes and the nose respectively in position to the eyebrows then the mouth then I add tiny facial features like wrinkles, to make their expressions appear realistic. Drawing the head first helps you keep the body in relative size with everything else.
I start n the nose and eyes to lay a foundation for the face..... however proper drawing technique states you draw the outlining shapes in ovals for what you are drawing.. and proportions... for face or whole body.... there are set proportions for drawing the human figure.
Yes, the right proportions for a human figure is 7.5 to 8 heads tall, and 3 heads across the shoulders (keep in mind this is general, because not everyone will be like this). But you must also remember, when drawing anime these proportions for the most part get thrown out the window. Anime girls can be anywhere from 9 heads up to 11 heads tall ( I know that seems like a lot, but try measuring a picture of an anime girl, you will be surprised!). Again, that doesn't relate to every anime style, it just depends on which artist is drawing. And as far the the ovals and shapes goes, yes that is supposedly what you are supposed to do, but to tell you the truth I have never met an artist who does it!

If I'm drawing real people I usually try and do things properly with correct proportions and stuff. Nothing's right, though--Anime throws all that stuff out the window....

Once you've got a feel for your character--have drawn him or her a few times--you can start pretty much anywhere and it'll turn out okay.

Circle for head, lines for body position. (I generally focus on the facial expression, so that's the most important part for me.) Then, like everyone else, "tubers" for the basic body shape.
That's all done lightly.
Then light details--hair, clothes, face, etc. I do that stuff pretty loosely, 'cause I find inspiration tends to show here when I let the drawing "draw itself". ;)
After that, I darken the outline I want, then the details. Then shadowing or color as needed, and cleanup as well.
And then...

I usually start with the hair for any DBZ character like Goku. 'Cause in his drawings his hair goes over his eyes, so it's easier to start with his hair. But for bald people, they're haed first. For cartoons, their legs first, because I always seem to come up with a funny drwinf starting that way [^_^]

Thats about what I do :D

I start with the bottom of the ear, then draw down the neck, then add the hair around the ear, moving into the shape of the face, and if its good then I carry on. If it's not well...*Crumple crumple BIN BIN TIME!*

I just wanna know how you guys draw....my friend and me draw dbz, I start on the outside of the face, then the hair, then eyes, then body, he starts on the eys thought then dies the outside of the face, its wierd, so how do you guys do it?
i start on the body. the breasts if it's a girl and the chest if it's a guy. unless i know how i want the face to look, then i make the shape of the face first. i'm a real perfectionist and everything i draw comes out warped. i think it's because my frame of mind. anyway. it goes like this:

breasts/chest > waist > legs > arms > neck > face shape > hair > ears > eyes and eyebrows > nose & mouth
or
face shape > eyes and eyebrows > nose > mouth > ears > hair > neck > breasts/chest > waist > legs & arms
