The 90's are gone, and the new Millenium has been here for awhile now. So why not take a look at the past? (*note* This is not because of the VH1 special "I love the 90's" although I did see that and it is funny)

What are your favorite moments or things of the 90's? To keep this from a "What is your favorite color" type of thread, please tell why it is and how it affected you. Did you own a furbie and end up breaking its head apart? Maybe you were one of those kids on halloween wearing a scream mask saying "WAZZUP!"? For all I know you could list Bill Clinton conspiracy, what in the 90's was special to you is what matters. Yes you can tell personal life experiences if you want too, but I'd prefer things that we're big in the 90's.

Also what in your life is different now from back then? Are you satisfied with those changes? Do you ever long to go back? Do you dress differently? Do you act differently? Use other phrases?

*EDIT* I'm not sure if this kind of topic was already posted, if so let me know but I've looked back on numerous threads and could not find anything similar.

Well hoom. I was born in the 90s, so I guess that counts for something. Otherwise, the first thing that pops into my mind are the Spice Girls because they t0taLLi3 r4wKd mIe wUlc|!111

Okay, yeah. And basically the fact that there was a lot of colour involved when it came to boy bands' choices in clothing. *twitch*

The 90's? I grew up in the 90's. So basically my grades, behavior, and life in general are all by-products and manifestations of the 90's. And I began writing in the 90's. It's when I discovered my talent: Writing, my interest: Space, and all the branches of science fiction I could get my hands on.

The 90's rawkd. Most of my life (so far) was in the 90s. But I was born in 89.

I am actially a child of the 80's, I know that being born in the late 80s doesn't really count as being a child of the 80s but My music preferences are mostly from the eighties, My book preferences are from the eighties or earlier, I act like someone from the eighties. However most of my life I have lived in the 90s.
The nineties affected me because I found out about my footy talent i nthe 90s, my reading and writing talent and unfortunatly my slight ineptitude at handing in assingments on time.

I too grew up in the 90s. Started school in '92 I believe. ^_^ Such a good decade. I miss those years most, mainly because I had such an awesome childhood and there were no responsibilities whatsoever, just childish playing, so carefree.

Those 90s toys were so awesome..heh. I remember collecting and playing pogs with my brother and our friend Matthew early on. I have to say I was about eight or so. Sega Genesis was a huge part of my life, then that Crazy Bones fetish that came here back in '97. Never did get a Furby. I do remember the year they came out my mom and my aunt where going to get them for my cousin and I but decided not too since the only way to get to them was with your teeth. -.-;

I never really got into all those 90s bands. Hansan's, Spice Girls, etc. My cousin was, and she would always try to get me into it. Out of all the Spice Girls I only like the sporty one, simply for that fact, sporty. Lol. I've always been a tom boy.

I always long to go back. I remember all the fun I had in Arizona as a child, and I always miss those times. I still have all my pogs and crazy bones, heh

I am a child of the 80's since I was born in the later part of the 70's. I did most of my growing up in the 80's, but the 90's had many memorable moments for me. I traveled around the country with a Drum and Bugle Corps, graduated high school, attended/ graduated from college and got married all in the 90's. It was a very busy time for me.

It's strange to think I started out the 90's in school and finished it being married with a career. So much can happen in your life in the span of just 10 years! I feel that I spent that decade becoming an adult. The 80's were fun and really was my childhood whereas the 90's were the big turning point for me.

Watching that show on VH1 on the 90's really makes me realize how much stuff happened in my life during that decade. One great memory the show reminded me of was the Nelsons! I was thinking how one of my friends was totally in love with the Nelson twins in the early 90's. We would listen to their album on the bus while going to marching band competitions. As the VH1 program went on I started to recognize music from when I was in college and then when I was getting married!

All I can say is- how time flies!
