Lessee... I guess I collect those paint cards you get from hardware stores, I've got a few of them. Whenever I go to a hardware store with my dad, I always take a few. I think they look really cool (I know, weird).

And Lore, I know you're going to think me stupid for asking this, but what is "beach glass"? It's prolly something simple that I didn't tihnk of, but what is it?
First of all, I totally collect paint chips from hardware stores! Haha, I have so many of them (and I'm constantly misplacing my collection and starting over, heh.) Whenever I was little and my parents dragged us to a hardware/building supplies store for some home improvement project (we spent ten years remodling our old house, and moved out as soon as it was finished), I would smuggle paint sample cards home with me. I think I have vague ideas of using them for art projects someday.

Alright...beach glass. *grins*

Beach glass is glass (from broken beer bottles, mostly) that has been worn down by waves and sand over a long period of time. There are no longer any sharp edges, and the pieces (when dry) usually have a frosted look to them. (When wet, the frosted look disappears. If you want to keep a particular piece looking clear and shiny, you can put clear nail polish on it, and it will keep.) This site has some pictures.

It's a bit like putting rough stones into a rock polisher, and then seeing the end result as something smooth and beautiful. Beach glass isn't shiny, but it's the same idea.

I don't know how large a body of water would have to be to produce beach glass, but I guess that any place you find beach rocks (or river rocks, or whatever you might call them, depending on your locale--stones smooth as a result of moving water) you'd be able to find beach glass.

I?m not one for saving things I have no use for, but I do collect a few things.

Anything and everything Star Wars ? I?m a huge dork when it comes to this. My room is literally plastered with movie posters and maps, my two bookcases are full of the EU novels and I?ve got a box of action figures. There are also various odd Star Wars themed objects I?ve just happened to pick up (Candy Jars, Die Cast Figures, Videogames, etc.)

Those Bicentennial quarters. Pretty nifty, I think.

Pennies. I?ve got a little collecting book that I got from my grandfather that he had when he was a kid, and there are pennies there from 1900 onwards. The neatest of which are Zinc WWII pennies. It?s also fun, when I find older pennies, to fill in the few spots in the 50s-60s that are missing.

I collect a few different types of things.
cards as in regular playing cards, yu-gi-oh, magic: the gathering, and I think I still have some pokemon too.
santa figures . I get these every year for christmas, and I think I have aboutfifteen or so.
pens ,yes, pens. I don't even write very much, though I like having different colours, and styles of pens. (wow, guess I am a geek T_T)
anything from Pink Floyd . I don't have many Pink Floyd items, though I have a Dark Side of the Moon wallet, a door poster with a piture of all their album covers tattooed on a women back, three of their cds, and I think thats about it for them.
books . I love to read, and I'll read almost anything, wether it be poetry, fiction, non-fiction, law books, and everthing else.
sharp objects . I'll keep anything that can cut things, like swords, knives, axe's, polearms, naginata's,shards of glass, and others that I've forgotten.

Lemme see? what do I collect..

Well, I don?t do it on purpose. I like to collect keychains. I have over twenty, I know, though where they all are is beyond me. I used to get the kids meals at McDonalds just to get those little plush keychains, when they had them. Like Pooh Bear, Tigger, Piglet. And when I see a cool keychain, I have to have it! I have tons with quotes on them. Like: ?Warning: I have an additude, and I know how to use it!? One of my faves is actually ?Wanna know how to keep an idiot busy? Look on the back.? We all know how that goes. ;)

I also collect car parts. Its not intentional, they just show up in my back yard. Our house was built on an old junkyard, and so we?re always turning up stuff. We found a whole hubcap, and a thingy that is sitting on my desk. We know its part of a car, but which part eludes us. I?m saving it to show a car-fanatic friend of mine.

I probably have more than that, but I can?t think of them right now.

1. I collect anime of course. DVDs and posters most of the time. And sketching books. For reference and ideas.

2. Books. I'm a hopeless book hoarder. Mostly fantasy but a few thrillers and mysteries here and there.

3. Underwear. It must be a chick thing. But like ChibiHorseWoman, I too collect underwear. It's nice to know that you have some pretty underwear around somewhere.

I collect teacups. It all started when I was eight or so and I was at this shop in Balboa called, "Teddy Bears and Tea Cups." I saw this cute little tea cup. It was whate with a rose on it. I bought it with my allowence money. It was twelve dollars. After that, people just started to give me tea cups. My favorite one is the one that I got in England. It has red and yellow roses covering it. Right now I have eight and two tea pots and a mini doll tea set. I need to go get some more.

Other things I don't "collect" but I "accumulate." I have all sorts of horsey stuff. Several bryer model horses, a horse painted on a rock, a coaster or two, tall boots, paddock boots, breeches, helmet and helmet cover, half-chaps, a saddle pad, a ceramic horse, a ceramic horse box, ribbons and trophies from shows, a chinese brush painting of a horse and many many books and magazines.

Another "collection" of mine is magazines. I have just about every Horse Illustrated or Young Rider since 1998. Every. Single. One. I also have quite a number of Seventeen magazines too. Lots of Pointe magazine and a few Newtypes.

I also have lots of books. I have a couple of shelf-fulls.

I have lots of violin music/violin stuff too. I have a box full of all of the books/sheet music I have used over the past five years. I have a bunch of spare parts too. I've got two mini violins and a violin business card holder. (And a violin of course. lol.)

I just accumulate alot of crap. I have problems throwing things away.

I collect swords, knives, daggers, and an assortment of lethal weapons with blades upon them. Why? I don't know, just sort of happened. I like swords, and such so I got me one. Then everyone else started giving me swords, knives, etc., as presents and such. So that's how I've come to collect an unnerving amount of weapons. Fun stuff. Aside from that I've built up quite the collection of comic books, not that I really wanted them. When growing up my parents thought I was really into them or something and kept getting them for me, and that's about all there to tell about that. But mostly I collect video games, video games I barely play and never get rid of. Ah well.

Oh, and I collect dust too....
