How many days of artwork should be displayed on our fan art/wallpaper/greeting sites?

On the main page of our fan art site, we display new artwork. Currently, we have it configured to display the last 48 hour's worth, which translates to approximately 18 pages.

People who browse our fan art site actively, do you think this is a good number, or should we shorten it to fewer pages and display only the last 24 hours, for example?
