Guest lita_lynn
I have just started to read the manga and I have to say it is my new favorite obssession. It's called either Sensual Phrase or Kaikan Phrase at it's by Mayu Shinjo. It's an erotic, sexy, passionate, romantic tale. Here's my little summary ::trying not to spoil anything:: Aine, a high school girl, wants to be a lyricist and by a twist of fate her lyrics wind up in the hands of Sakuya, the lead singer of a J-rock band called Lucifer (or Aucifer depending on the website). Sakuya hires Aine to be his erotic lyricist. Aine, a virgin, is constantly "teased" by Sakuya for inspiration. Will Aine be overcome by passion and confess her love for Sakuya? Does Sakuya have any real desire for her or is she just another sexual conquest for him? As the series continues it's one trial after another for the two with the sexual tension rising between the two. The lyrics are hot and the band members are hotter! It's only been translated by Viz up to 5. Number 6 will be out in Feburary and 7 in April (gahhh I can't wait that long!). Everyone needs to read this! ( Please and thank you.^^; ) I just found out recently that there is an anime to go along with it and I've heard it's more of a story about the band members careers before Aine came into their lives. I'm trying to track down a copy since it's not available in the US yet. There's only one fansub site that I can find that has it. There is also a cd out of print that came out to go along wit the manga and I happened to get into contact with someone who had it. Needless to say I am very excited about the whole thing. Here's two links in case you'd like more information on it. I'm trying to gather as much about it as possible so if you have any questions I might be able to answer them or direct you to someplace that can. And I incourage everyone to check it out ^^ Lita Lynn
Dagger
Since what you've written mostly focuses on the Kaikan Phrase manga, I split it off from the topic you had originally posted in and moved the new thread to the manga forum. As for the Anime Lounge--when a series is not listed in the Directory, you can search for pre-existing threads (if you so desire), but if they're incredibly old or spammy, you should feel free to start a new thread on the anime in question. Your post is exceptionally detailed and well-written, and I did a huge double-take when I saw it tacked onto the end of an otherwise spammy thread. ^_^;; Anyway, thank you very much for trying to adhere to the spirit of the rules. :) ~Dagger~
EternalxDusk
I've read what volumes I can find. I thought it was a little eh, but I'm not to easily taken by this specefic genre of manga. I don't know, it seemed a little like a fanfiction written by some rabid fangirl. I could see it as I read. School girl meets hot guy from popular band and they fall in love! Well, to each his own, I guess my mind and opinion of such things has been tainted by all the horrific results of fanfictions with nearly identical plots.
Monkey_Orange
Kaikan Phrase is a new manga series that I have started reading. At first, I was a bit reluctant to try it, but I eventually gave it ^^;; Mind you, it's probably not the most original piece of work, BUT if you're looking for romantic smut, then it's perfect. Yep, I was in the romantic smut mood when I decided to start it. *feels all warm and lovey, dovey inside*
Monkey_Orange
Sometimes I ask myself why I am still reading this series. The story ain't that great, or original, and the main character...well sometimes I just wanna strangle her. Be stronger, woman! True, your boyfriend is uber sexy but...why are you always the one getting into problems :animesigh Geez. I guess...my contiunous reading of this series is similar to the reason why housewives usually watch daytime soaps -- there simply is no logic whatsoever :animeswea Ah well, I don't mind a little smutt in my life. It's sad, I know :animeswea
