Brasil
I really can't pick a favorite out of the two. Both credit sequences are very well-done in their own ways. ND's is probably the most innovative credit sequence I've seen in a long time, with the cast and crew being written out in school lunches and notebooks and so forth, but Shaun of the Dead's credits are almost minimalist, in that there really isn't a fully-fledged credit sequence. We're given the usual hit of "A _________ Production" and so on, and "Shaun of the Dead" appears spread out on the pavement as a group of thugs mull about, bobbing their heads to the dull, mellowed overture, and the "opening" consists of the slow, long pans and tracking shots that we see throughout the film, but other than that, there is nothing else. We jump right into the film. Which opening credits do you prefer? Napoleon's or Shaun's? Provide some explanation, too, please, heh. Maybe something regarding technique, shot composition, colors, music, etc...not something like "because its so cool1!11!!1"
