Redemption
I was just curious what people would say if they were ever asked this question. So here the thread is. You don't have to believe in this stuff to post in here. I don't believe in it, and yet I find it fascinating to read what a Pisces is stereotypically like. A Pisces should be (stereotypical here) short to medium stature, small hands and feet, plentiful hair and full eyes. Well I do have thick hair and I'm short. My hands and feet are very small (my boyfriend's hand is about half an inch bigger than my foot...no kidding!) and I supposably have big blue eyes. Pisces are associated with the water. My real name, Brooke, means stream or water. Pisces are supposed to dislike violence. I agree with that statement. I don't like war or violence and rather detest it. Pisces are spinners of illusion and dreams Well I love fantasy and have some really awesome dreams. Pisces have creative imaginations I most certainly agree with that. Helps in making RPGs. :P And lastly... Pisces have a desire to help the less fortunate, in particular animals. I do love animals and one of my pets was an orphaned kitten who know thinks I'm his mum (because I raised him from 2 weeks old). So, post away your thoughts! -Brooke- AKA amgoddess
Fall
I don't really know whether my starsign relates to me, but I know everytime I read the astrology section in the newspaper, Scorpio is always right. That kinda freaks me out a bit, ya know.
Pumpkin
Hmm I'm a cancer so I looked up some things on my zodiac sign. Let's see if this matches up shall we.
Cancers are Highly emotional and sensitive
Partially true because I do have strong emotions butI have a hard-time expressing them. Sensitive? hah I get teased all the time. Which is supposedly "rare" for a cancer. So I guess I broke that one.
Cancers don't like to argue or get into arguements
Arguments when they turn mean no, but yes I admit it I like to argue. So wrong.
Cancers look for Security.
I'm not a very trusting person, and I've come to the fact that if I want something done I do it myself, so does that mean I look for someone to make me safe? no. If it happens it happens.
Cancers are not risk-takers
Somewhat true. Although I don't party (like most people around here "HoLLa HoMies!") that doesn't mean I haven't taken any risks. It depends on what kind. I use to get into so much trouble as a kid, its crazy. I still do. Sometimes. It all depends on what you mean by risk. When it comes to relationship wise, I'm not much of a risk taker.
Cancers are shy and not very sociable people
Hah. Not true. I talk. ALOT. infact I get teased cause I talk alot, habit. I use to be very shy in middle school, but that was such a long time ago. I'm shy around some people, but rarely. I think I'm a very approachable and friendly person.
Sakura
Hmmm, I saw this tread so I decided to look mine up just for the sake of it. "Aquarians are extremely independant." Well, I'd agree with that, I don't like to have to rely on people for things and would rather do them myself. "They will not be tied down for long." I dunno about that, I've never had a relationship before so I can't say. "Aquarians are usually lively, inventive and oh so original." I'd agree with this one, it helps with RPs of course, and people say my ideas are original. And I'm lively when I get hyped up, which happens at random times. "Aquarians are very unpredictable, rebellious or helpful." And yup, these are right, I have the weirdest mood swings at the strangest of times, which is unpredictable. I don't listen to people sometimes which is rebellious. And when I'm in a good mood, I'm helpful to people. There's a lot more big paragraphs but this is the main one so yeah. All in all that was accurate.
elfpirate
Everything I've ever heard about Virgos is so different than the way that I am. I've looked through countless books, and it's so off that it's simply ridiculous... which makes me think that astrology is all a bunch of crap (no offense to those of you that believe in it). And, no, I wasn't born on the cusp. I should have Virgo traits through and through and I just don't...
Sandy
I can totally relate to the Gemini horoscope! Geminis are said to have two very different sides in them that come out in different situations. They are also very creative, but on the downside they don't have very good concentration. These all apply to me. Just to assure you, here's a description I found from another site: "Gemini (May 21 - June 21): Geminis are versatile, sociable, expressive, inquisitive, inventive and intelligent. On the other hand, they also tend to be absentminded, conniving and fidgety, and lack an attention span." It's downright ghastly how good that describes me! My big sister is also a Gemini, and though we have quite different natures that description relates pretty well to her as well. It's magic! The Vampire: Ed
I am a Cancer, and going by all the quoted things from Pumpkin's post, yes I relate to my star sign perfectly. I hate arguments, I am highly emotional and sensitive but on the inside mostly not physically on the outside, although I am not a very trusting person security is very important to me, not much of a risk taker, and I am basically shy and am not very sociable. So, in my particular case, my star sign fits me perfectly. I don't know if that's good or bad though.
Zenriek
Ok, I'm a taurus, and I found a site on the net that had some info on them. "Taurus, an Earth Sign, is characterized by determination and ambition.." Ah... I can be determined when I want to be, and enjoy what I'm doing. Ambition only comes when I want to do something, so this is half true. "..you have a lively interest in the pleasant side of life.." If "the pleasant side of life" means the fun and happier side of life, then yah. I'd rather be playing around and doing what I want to then work, so that's true. "You require security and stability in your life and like to work for your retirement" I guess I require stability and such, like having a job and an apartment... But I won't be working for my retirement, I'll be working to get along in life. And plus, I want to visit a lot of places before I get old.. So.... Half true. "...When provoked, you can forget about comfort and raise heck..." Yah. I don't like to get mad a lot, but when I'm provoked right, I'll get in there, and "raise heck". "In romantic relationships you tend to be jealous and possessive. On the other hand, no other sign of the Zodiac can develop the loyalty of a Taurus..." ...Jealous and possessive!? I'm not jealous and possessive... Though I've never been in a romantic relationship, but still, I'm not jealous or possessive of any of my friends. And my loyalty is given to any really good friend. So... half true.
Anne
I am not to much a believer in this butits fun to read my horoscopee on the train ride to schoool. It helps pass thetime some. Well I am a Pisces as well. Some of the stereotypically fit and some don't. A Pisces should be (stereotypical here) short to medium stature, small hands and feet, plentiful hair and full eyes. Welll I do have a short stature, small hands and feet. Most poeple hand size are as big as my feet. I can still wear kids size shoes. Which is very fun because they have really cool rain boots. My hair is very plentiful, but I do not have full eyes, Mine are dull and small. Pisces are associated with the water. I am not really associated with it by anyway. Actually to tell the truth I am scared to death to go into water any deeper t han my bathtube or my little plastic kidddie pool.I don't even know how to swim. Pisces are supposed to dislike violence. Yes and no on this one. I would rather not get into a violent confertation and try to aviod them at all possiable, but I am prone to violent tendencys. I have beaten a couple people up defending other and I am a shot gun wielding red neck. Pisces are spinners of illusion and dreams Ah, very true. Not a day goes by when I haven't day dreamed or cuddles up to a good fantasy novel. Pisces have creative imaginations bust a gut from laughing so hard. This I certainly am. My English teachers always said my grammer and spelling may suck but I don't lack imagination. I am always making up cooky little stories on why I am late orif something islost. Pisces have a desire to help the less fortunate, in particular animals. Yes I do. Mostly animals though. Right now I have a litter of kittens in my shed. I found them behind my trailor without anyone. So I scooped them upand brought them into a warmer place outof the elments and am nursing them to health. (I just can't tell anyone. My neighbors have had it with me helping the animals because than they never go away.)
Skye
Well, I?m also a Pisces, and I think having someone stereotypical for their physical attributes just by their star sign is crazy. I do have full hair, and nice eyes, but I?m 5?6?, and wear size 9 ½. So that rules out that. Pisces are associated with the water. Wheee! I love to swim, and I?m really good at it, too. I love playing in the water, whether it?s a pool, my tub, or the rain. I loooove water. Pisces are supposed to dislike violence. *shudders* I hate hurting people, if that means this is a yes. I hate hurting them physically and emotionally. I slap someone, and I instantly regret it. I feel like crap for a long time afterwards. Pisces are spinners of illusion and dreams. Well? if liking to sleep because I have cool dreams counts, then yes. o.0 Meh, I love to dream. *sighs* Pisces have creative imaginations Count me in. I am currently drawing a huge mass of vines, birds, mini-dragons, and things like that on my bedroom wall. I was even contemplating putting two flying fish for Pisces. Pisces have a desire to help the less fortunate, in particular animals. Oh, yeah. Let me see, I have a dog who?s parents we don?t know what happened to them, another dog that we rescued from the pound, a cat we rescued from the pound a couple years ago, two other cats we rescued from the inside of the wall at where my mom used to work, and another cat who?s mom lives down the street in another house. I also love to play with younger children, and I pick out the quieter people for my friends and bookbuddies. But out of most things I?ve read, I pretty much fit the Pisces category. Creative, sensitive, and fun. Heh, I even fit the ?Pisces are prone to foot injuries? part. I love to play soccer, but I am constantly hurting my feet by tripping, kicking rocks, kicking doorjams, kicking cats, getting my feet run OVER by cats? you see my point? All because fishes don?t have feet. :)

Panda
Capricorn (the goat) is the sign for those born between December 22nd and January 20th. I think I fit most of what my sign says I should be. Of course I have always felt that the descriptions for the signs have always been so vague that they would fit most anybody in one way or another. I only really see my sign as being a bit of fun. I don't take it to heart. For me, it is just for entertainment. Now, on to the traits of Cappies! Capricorn traits include: Ambitious and disciplined Patient and careful Humorous and reserved And on the flipside to that are: Pessimistic and fatalistic Miserly and grudging I would like to ask if any other Cappies are spenders? Do you like to save your money or spend it? And my question to all those Bulls out there, are you thrifty? Do you like to save your money? I was wondering since all the Cappies I have met have been shoppers whereas the Bulls have been savers. I just want to see if anyone else out there in the wide world of the internet fit this description. Thank ya much!
Xander Harris
Cancers are Highly emotional and sensitive: Well, I can be emotional at times, but rarely do I let my emotions completely dictate my actions. The times when I do are times I often end up regretting. I am sensitive, in that I can usually pick up on signals people are sending, but other times I can't. For instance, the other night one of my friends was crying about something, and I didn't notice it until someone else pointed it out. But I think partly it was because I don't really know her that well. People I know well I can read like a book. So I think I sort of fit this, but not always. Cancers don't like to argue or get into arguements I love arguing. That's why I like philosophy so much. But when arguing would do more harm than good, or harm a relationship, I tend to avoid it. Cancers look for Security. Who doesn't? Cancers are not risk-takers Depends what area of life you are talking about. If you are talking about physical stuff, I tend to be fairly timid. I'm not the first in line for the new rollercoaster, so to speak. I have never actually asked a girl to go out with me, for fear of destroying a friendship relationship. This needs to change. But in other areas I am willing to take chances. Especially in the area of entertainment, I am willing to try just about anything once. I think that's how I ended up being a punk music and anime fan, when a few years ago I was not interested in either. I like trying unorthodox stuff in my RPG groups. I'll try most foods at least once, also. I love trying out new food. Cancers are shy and not very sociable people Hah! If you knew me, you'd be laughing too... one of my friends likes to say that I can walk up to perfect strangers and talk with them like I've known them my whole life. Which is true. It's a survival skill of sorts that you pick up when you are both a pastor's kid and a performer in a small town. Everyone assumes that you know them, and that you are their pal, but you often only know about 25% of the people who want to have a conversation with you. Now I'm not saying that we don't spend our money wisely, we do at times, but hanging onto it is absolutely out of the question. For me, If I have money to spend, sitting around and looking at it does me little to no good. Frankly it just drives me crazy. Another trait that I've found common among Capricorns is that they can tend to brood or become overly depressed easily. I really dounbt that it can entirely depend on the sign, but it's a supposed known fact among astrologers. ChibiHorsewoman
You notice how the majority of my posts talk a lot about me? That's because I'm a Leo :D . Ok, so I was technically born on a cusp, so I have some Cancer in me too so if I get too much attention I'll go back into my shell, but yeah, I like attention. Leo's want to be on top (says my Little Giant encyclopedia of the zodiac) Potential competetors should remember that. Leo is not interested in winning, but in being king or queen of a particular castle. That said, if you're anywhere near a space I occupy, don't expect me to back down. I don't have a particularly slim body (unless anyone out here is a size 22 or larger) but at times I can be graceful. I take a lot of pride in my hair even if I don't have enough time to take a full shower and wash off my whole body I'll wash my hair so in that I'm, defiantely a Leo taking care of her mane. I'd say my face is more squarish than oval, but my eyes are large. And my voice well...nobody has much trouble hearing me so I'd say it's strong. Yep, mostly I'm a typical Leo female in apperance. It would take too long to site my positive and negative characteristics. But I am loyal, friendly and generous. But I'm also stubborn, I have a tendancy to cut others down to size (ie my mother-in-l;aw when she said I wasn't very protective of people) and I'm cold hearted when hurt. There's also the whole sex thing, but well...we're not going to get into that right now
Sara
While I enjoy the mythology and symbolism associated with the zodiac/star signs, I don't place any belief in it. Still, it can be fun. As an Aries, I am supposed to be spontaneous and active, possibly with warrior energy. I should have a fiery temperament and be an enthusiastic leader, and more "sedate" members of the zodiac often see me as combative and insensitive. I am also unaware of the wounding effects my lusty desires have on those around me. Do I think this sounds anything like me...at all? Nope. If I were Taurus, I would be considered determined and stubborn. I would desire physical things, with a special longing for good food, physical comfort and luxurious surroundings. In fact, I might even be considered greedy. On the upside, I would enjoy working with my hands and may even be a mechanic or carpenter. I would also be very creative, and If ever one is shipwrecked on a desert isle, one can only hope to have a Taurus along, for within a day a two this individual will have built a hut and devised a system to deliver running water. Ahem. No, except for the "liking good food and physical comfort" bit, that doesn't sound much like me, either. But we've still got ten other tries! :) Were I a Gemini, I might thrive on change, eager to experience the world and everything in it. I would love communication and possibly have a career in writing, editing or broadcasting. My curiousity would often get the better of me, and I may be considered fickle due to my contantly changing interest in new things. I would be very sensitive to the criticism of others, and may often find myself unhappy if stuck in one place. This is closer, I think, than the first two. I'm very "into" communication, I enjoy writing, and I don't like the idea of working at one job for the rest of my life. Onto...Cancer! A cancer places great importance on what others are feeling - not what they think. Whatever profession they may choose, they are ruled by their emotions; similarly, they are easily affected by the moods of those around them. With a reputation for being defensive, Cancer individuals are easily hurt and desperate for security and stability. And a nice analogy at the end of that: The symbol for Cancer is the crab - the sea creature who carries his home on his back. This symbol carries great meaning for these individuals. They must learn to be at home within themselves. If they look for their sense of safety and security within themselves, rather than without in the world, then they will be safe and secure. For an emotional gal who's been feeling homesick lately, that entire blurb hits pretty close to home. So far, by all rights, I should have been born under Cancer. Leos on the other hand, are creative people who easily take the reins of power and step willingly into the limelight. They like to be the center of attention and are often dramatic and funny (even volatile) for that reason. Leos need to feel powerful and need to be given the recognition they deserve, or they may become bitter and sullen. Oh, and yes: The great lesson of Leo is about the use and abuse of personal power. No, this doesn't really seem to fit me, either. Virgos are typically practical, analytical and attuned to details. They can be hard on themselves, and may often be considered perfectionists. They are neat and organized and can be escessively critical. And apparently they love animals. No...not so much. So that's the first half of the zodiac. For those interested, most of the bolded traits (and all of the longer bits) were taken from this site. le yawn, Sara
Retribution
Warm and generous, enthusiastic and active, these individuals are natural leaders. Meh. I'm not always enthusiastic or warm, but I can lead. When participating in team sports they are engaged and involved, and use their enthusiasm to build team spirit and to urge their teammates to perform their very best. Many prefer solitary sports, such as cycling and running, that allow them to constantly improve on their own past performance. Yeah. I'm on my high school's soccer team. I usually don't play solitary sports, but I do enjoy working hard to become better. Sagittarians love travel and exposure to other cultures. Oh yes. Traveling rawks. I love to go to new places, and see what they're like. Other culture seems foriegn and interesting to me. They can be reckless, abrupt and blunt, and can suffer from foot-in-mouth disease. Not really. I tend to think my actions through before I do them. But I am blunt with people sometimes, when they need it. Without a cause, this juggernaut bangs around recklessly and ineffectually, but with one, this person is a force to be reckoned with. Miss. Without a cause, I tend to float around. With a cause, I get things done. I suppose I'm a force to be reckoned with if I have a purpose. Overall, this doesn't describe me, but the daily ones have a way with predicting my day.

People who choose A&W Cream Soda as their favorite Jelly Belly bean are thoughtful, unpretentious, and admire 50's music and sweater sets. People whose favorite flavor is Cappuccino are very smart and probably have their own blog. They do not subject themselves to offensive experiences and know teamwork is the key to success. Arcadia
I'm going to be honest, I love reading all this crazy zodiac stuff, and when I go to Barnes and Noble or Borders or some place like that, I almost always look up some new kind of horoscope thing. As far as horoscopes go, I wouldn't say I believe them and I don't think they're accurate, but my actual zodiac sign Taurus usually is right on the money with me. I do think it's fun to explore, though, which is why I get horoscopes in e-mail and it's also why I'm interested in other things like runes and tarot cards and such. With that said, according to the Taurus profile, "You aren't necessarily like a Bull in a ring with a toreador. You could be more like peace-loving Ferdinand, seeking the gentle meadows filled with flowers, sunshine and natural beauty. It's only your stubbornness that can make you angry enough to charge at someone who is disturbing your peace." This is true enough for me and it's one of the reasons I don't get into a lot of debates here on the boards - I get so worked up and flustered reading different views, anything else I'm sure would send me over the edge. ^_^; "You Bulls are noted for your determination. You get to where you are going, not because you are exceptionally fast or clever, but because you will not be distracted from your goals." Eh... not so much. Heh, I am notorious for being easily distracted when it comes to school work and the like. In high school I would engage my dad in discussions about the constitution in order to escape from finishing my government homework. The flip side to that is I usually am very determined and ambitious about things other than homework (and apparently with certain stories >_>). Generally if I start something, then I'm going to finish it, and it's going to be done right the first time, no questions asked. "Your need for stability and simplicity can motivate you to create a life for yourself that is quite functional, though it might seem boring to someone else. But you aren't interested in taking unnecessary risks that can put your solid footing in jeopardy." This is pretty accurate - I'm not big on risks at all, and I prefer to have things stable and constant. I'm much more comfortable knowing exactly what's going on because I'm the one who controls everything. "Your motto might be "Take care of the senses and everything else will take care of itself." It may be that your attraction to material things is less about the objects themselves than it is about the pleasure they bring to your senses. Comfortable living and working space is important to you, along with nice linens, clothing, food and music." This is very true - I love things. I have lots of music, lots of DVDs, tons of clothes and shoes, toe socks, hats, posters, journals, pens, scrapbooks... lots of little things on my desk and around my room just to give it a more homey sort of vibe. It's not about just having them as much as the sense of home and security that they bring to me. Taurus is also known for being very practical and sensible, with her feet firmly on the ground. Her key planet Venus, which focuses on love, desire, and beauty. Because of this Taurus is supposed to be very sensually oriented and places her senses above thoughts and feelings.. which I guess in some aspects is also true about myself. Now, according to Sara's crazy Jelly Bean Personality thing... If Orange Juice is your favorite Jelly Bean, you will already be aware that people look up to you, regard you as something of a leader. While you can see future trends, you never forget important hometown values. But I also liked Tangerine (you like taking long walks, enjoy the sun, love the smell of fresh cut grass and are prone to daydream) and Kiwi (you are artistic, imaginative, and certainly very talented but also quite an unusual person). Now how do you like them apples? ^_~
JJ
No one has replied as a Scorpio, so I claim that as my own!
Scorpio has a reputation as a serious sign. These are people you don't want to mess around with. After all, who can take lightly the issues related to the sign Scorpio - sex, death and the occult? Scorpio is associated with Mars and Pluto - two heavy-handed Olympians. Mars was the god of war; in an astrological chart Mars describes our ability to protect ourselves and to get what we want. Pluto was the god of the underworld and symbolizes the inevitability of death. Pluto is associated with transformation and is said to rule events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
I do find myself one to go for what I want when I can see where I'm going, so to speak. I do think in my head at least that you don't want to mess with me, because I'll tell you off with big words! [Qutoe]Scorpio represents some pretty intense forces in life. And indeed, most Scorpios are intense individuals - although you won't necessarily see that on the surface. These are very private people who do not like to put their stuff out for all to see. Letting others see what one is really feeling is a way to lose power in the eternal game of life.
If you were to ask anyone that knew me well, they would tell you that when I feel about something, I feel about it. Most people wouldn't know though, because I do keep alot of stuff to myself. I myslef, feel like some days I lived behind a facade, not wanting to show my true colors. And that last sentance, it's my opinion extacly. O.O
Power is a key issue for Scorpio - as it is for the other three "fixed" signs as well - Taurus, Leo and Aquarius. Scorpio understands that power is an essential aspect of human relationships - and that not all can be seen on the surface of any interaction between two humans. This water sign pays attention to all that is not said, but is deeply felt. Scorpio is a relationship sign; most natives long deeply for a total and complete exchange between themselves and another. This longing is the basis of a deeply felt sexual drive. The expression of this "urge to merge" ranges from the sublime to the degraded depending on the age, maturity and evolution of the individual.
Yes, I'll admit it, I do feel driven to sex and physical contact. Some days, jsut touching someone I want gives me the edge, but some days it takes more. It's like my world is manifested in the one moment when me and a person touch. Meh, Horror scopes and star signs are all creepy, because usually they are right.
