RPG Darkness Falls: The Fall of Man [M-VSL]

[B]OOC: Sorry about being out of this for so long. Thanks to everyone for keeping my character involved, I owe you one... or two....three? Umm... yeah[/B] :sweat:

"Hey, M."

Carl stood waiting outside the operation room, leaning against the far wall. M peeled off the surgical gloves, covered in blood, and tossed them into the nearest waste chute. He looked up as soon as he heard Carl. Unlike most other times they'd talked, he wasn't smiling.

"What's up?"

Carl briefly glanced through the observation screen, then turned back to M. "Well? Did you find anything?"

M nodded slowly, obviously deep in thought. "Yeah. I don't quite know what to make of it yet, but...."

"But what?"

M stood silent for a second, then shook his head and looked at Carl in a slightly more relaxed manner. "Don't worry about it for now. I'll go over it with everyone at the next meeting."

Carl tried to look disappointed, hoping to persuade M to tell him there and then, but it didn't work. M just folded his arms and smiled.

"You know, you might want to try that on someone who [I]can't[/I] read emotions."

Carl shrugged, and smiled back. "Neh, too easy."

Carl turned on his heel and started walking back down the corridor towards the living quarters. He was just about to turn a corner when he heard M's voice call out from behind him.

"Carl! Don't forget to sort out your report!"

Carl grunted disapprovingly, then rushed around the corner. He hated writing reports.

[B]OOC: I assume the 'virus' mission will be going deeper into the president's daughter thing, so I'll go for that one. If ot, I'll go with it anyway. And again, very, [I]very [/I] sorry for not posting in such a long time.[/B]

OOC: Sorry I've been away for awhile. I usually can't get on during the weekends. Anyway I reckon we should go for virus because I reckon, like Rei_Man, that it could go into the president's daughter again. Plus I've had enough of us being hunted for a bit.

Farel sat in his room running the mission through his head. He had already ommited the parts where he was alone on the mission. He [B]never[/B] wanted to recall that part, and he wanted to go through the next mission without having to do that again. It was too nerve racking on him and his fears had begun to return. Maybe that was why he had that dream whilst out on the field.

He had got very little sleep during the mission and only a small amount during the flight back. Farel had continued to think over in his mind why it had been he who had volunteered to rescue Taikaru. It was all a mystery to him. He lay his head back against the pillow hoping that sleep would bring the answer to him.

As he began to drift off to sleep he heard the door to his room open. He sat up slowly to find Taikaru standing in his door way.

"I...I hope I haven't disturbed you," She began, "It's just that I... wanted to thankyou for saving me again."

"Don't worry about it," He answered, "You're part of this team and it's important to look after each other."

"Yes, but why did you do it?" She asked.

"I have my reasons," he rsponded.

"Any chance you will tell me those reasons," Taikaru pushed.

Farel seemed to lose himself there. "I don't really want to talk about it," he said quietly.

[Redemption]

[COLOR=DarkRed][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Andy tossed and rolled in her bed, her green hair flailing around. She was breathing heavily, but her eyes were closed, dreaming.

[i]She knelt before a man robed in white.

" No.....no....I didn't mean to........."

" I .......I was just trying to protect him .........."

" I didn't mean to.......... please don't .......please don't hurt me again ......."

The image of Lee, Carl and Ivy being surrounded by vampires appeared suddenly and then dissolved away just as suddenly.

Then it was M ......smiling at her first, but then scowling at her......

" I didn't mean to M......I didn't mean to hurt you ......I was trying to protect you......don't go.....please don't go.........."

The figure of M just turned on his heels and faded away into the distance.[/i]

" NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!" Andy screamed as she jolted upright. Tears rolled down her cheeks. Her whole body trembled. Her singlet was soaked in cold sweat. Andy clutched the bed tightly.

" No......please no....." she whispered to herself. Tears still flowed freely. " He's the only one that's ever ... shown me who I truly am.... and still likes me ....."

If M had entered her room then and there, he would have felt sorrow, sadness and regret pouring out of Andy. He would have seen why she was afraid of the Devil, and why she hates to get close to people. Because of what she could do to them.

Andy laid back down and shoved her face in the pillow, silently crying the night away.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[Kairi]

[COLOR=DarkSlateGray][SIZE=1]The lights throughout the entire compound began to dim...with a dozen or so guards patrolling the hallways, the rest of the Angel Team and staff were already in bed.

M was standing outside the HellKnights cage once again, staring into the darkness as the lights in the Alpha wing began to flicker on and off...but he continued to just stand there...looking at the monster through the glass.

[I]Red....you bastard...[/I] he was so upset at the Commander, clutching his fists tighter and tighter with each thought, drawing blood with his fingers. His eyes began to darken...to that of the Lycans eyes back in London. The fear of loss consumed him, the lives of his friends, lying in the hands in such a man...withholding information as he had, so close to coming to death.

[I]Mother....I will not let it happen again...I swear it...![/I] the blood from the cut in his hand dripping to the floor, in the silence it could be heard making contact with the flooring. Both arms flexed...the muscles flaring with pain and adversity...he wanted to be so bitter and vengeful, constantly he battled with it. His past...the lonelyness he's felt most of his life....it wasn't fair.

But it wasn't the anger that made him like this, merely the battle within himself. The human flesh craving for vengance...to subside the pain with pain itself. And yet...his spirit would never break, bringing him back to the light...controling his powers so that he would not faulter, giving him wisdom and strength. Throughout his entire life...this had been going on...making him a stronger individual, the reason why he never showed such weaknesses to another, because there was no need. His love for his friends stayed true and loyal...the feeling of helping and supporting his friends was more powerful than any pain which could be put on him. But it didn't mean that he had needs as well, so often he just placed them aside.

Suddenly an image; no...a vision came upon him, causing a tear to come down his cheek. In an instant, it was gone; relaxing his muscles, he whipped away the tear in confusion...then it came to him again.

[I]Andy...[/I]

He could see her...twisting and turning in her bed. M wasn't even using his powers...her thoughts, her emotions were crying out to him...he couldn't block them out. M saw what she had drempt...the vampires, Ivy, Carl...then himself.

[I]You think I'm mad at you...[/I] he thought to himself, as her thougths poured out into his mind like ink on paper.

[I]Oh Andy...[/I] as the dream replayed to him...witnessing himself walk away from her; scowlding her. [I]please dont think such things. [/I] he thought to himself. The dream ended...showing Andy's face burried in her pillow, crying...wanting him to be there.

*sigh*...''oh Andy...I haven't done this in a while...please let this bring comfort....'' M closed his eyes...and pictures himself with Andy in her bedroom.

With her head in her pillow...she opened her eyes from the tears pouring out from her, and felt M's presense around her. She felt safe...as if he was right there with her, even if it was only in her mind. Looking up from her pillow...she saw M, standing in her room with those bright purple eyes of his, cutting through the dark.

She stood up to great him...asking him what he was doing there...but he didn't answer. As she stood, M simply opened up his arms and embraced her in a loving hug. Andy felt like she was going to melt away in his arms as she took in the warmth; the safety as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

''M....I...''

''ssshhhhh'' whispering into her ear''....be still, you have nothing to explain for. I know you didn't mean to hurt me...we all have our inner demons, so I understand completely. I feel you are having nightmares.''

''Yes...you...you were...you left me''

''I know...I know.'' as he patted her hair. ''dont think such things...never assume. *sigh*...I will always be here for you. Never will I leave...''

Andy couldn't say anything...she was lost for words. All she could do was to hug him tighter...to feel that he was really there. Both of them began to cry, as her emotions began to flow into him...taking it all in.

''I take in the good with the bad Andy; I'm sorry that so many have left you...just dont push away too much...you never know what you may miss out on. You will not loss all your friends here...you will not loss me.''

Andy pulled her head away, and looked up into his eyes...full of compassion. ''Andy...I have something I want you to have...one of the greatest feelings I have within me.'' M pulled one of his hands free and placed it on her forehead...immidiately, a wide open grassland lay before her. Animals in the distance with their herds and families...a cloudless blue sky was before her. She began to walk, brushing her hand over the tall grass. As she continued to walk...her pace quickened, becoming into a run.

As she ran...the burden of her scar on her back was lifted, catching the gentle breeze in her face. A couple of dear came up next to her as they ran with her for a great distance. The emotion was incredible, sending a joy throughout her entire being which she hadn't felt forever. For the lack of a better word...all she could think of was...

[I]Freedom...[/I]

The vision faded, Andy still being held in M's arm. Then...he slowly lowered his head...and kissed her on the forehead.

Immidiately...Andy woke up...shooting out of her bed. [I]Was it all a dream...was it not real...[/I]

[I]I felt him...I felt it all...[/I] as she contemplated the event. Despite her confusion, the feeling left by M still remainded, stronger than anything she had felt for the longest time.

***Back In the Delta Wing***

M was breathing heavily...it had been many years since he's made a connection such as that. Usually he did such things by touch...but in instances like that. It was very intense on his mind and body...opening up his eyes, the blackness was gone. His agony and torment gone by her warmth...but her pain remained. M was still crying, even after the connection had ended.

''I hope that brings you peace Andy...please dont worry about me...you deserve it more than I do.'' he had taken away her tormented feelings for now. Even if only for a moment...he hoped that she felt joy.

M made his way out of the Delta Wing, swaying from side to side in his exhaustion...and made his way into the living area, heading for his room to sleep. [/SIZE] [/COLOR]

[Blayze]

Lee woke up suddenly, for no apparent reason. He was shaking and dripping with a cold sweat. He was pale, and felt quite ill.

"You won't stop us, Lee, no-one can," said a voice from the corner of his room. He turned to look at what was making the sound. It was the President's daughter, alive again, with no chest wound.

"That attack earlier hurt, Lee. Why did you do that?"

"Because you're scum, and scum needs to be wiped out."

"But we weren't hurting anyone. We were merely fending for ourselves."

"By slaughtering innocent civilians!"

"Oh, come on, Lee, we both know that they weren't innocent. They were all sinners. There was a rapist there, a masochist, a sadist, even a necrophiliac. No-one is innocent in this world. We are all sinners."

"But they were human beings. You didn't have to kill them all just because they displayed human qualities!"

"We weren't killing them. We were giving them new life. We were turning them to our cause."

"No, you were slaughtering them."

"Do you think that's what happened to your parents? Your dear little sister? You believe they were slaughtered meaninglessly?"

"Yes. By filth like you!"

"Don't say that. They won't take kindly to it!"

"Who won't?"

"Your family!" she said gleefully. His father, his mother and his younger sister stepped out of the shadows. They were all vampires.

"Shit!" Lee shouted.

"They weren't killed by a spider demon like you thought they were, Lee. Back in New Berlin, they were turned. They have become vampires, like me. And they want you to come back and be part of the family again!"

"No!" shouted Lee, and then the hallucinations disappeared, melting back into the shadows.

M came running into his room.

"Lee! What is it?" he said.

"It's..." Lee paused, "Nothing, M."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I just had a nightmare. Don't worry about me, I've been taking care of myself all my life."

"Well, you know where we all are if you need us." M left the room, and Lee settled back and tried to sleep again.

[Redemption]

[COLOR=DarkRed][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Andy held her face in her hands.

[i]Was it a dream? But it felt so real......could it have been so real because I wished for him to be here?[/i]

Thoughts like these raced through Andy's mind. She was confused at best. Although, the feeling of freedom still lingered in her body. It was exhilirating for the few moments that M had given her.

[i]The kiss...[/i]

Andy touched her forehead where M had kissed her. It was the first time a male, apart from her family, had shown her any affection at all. She wanted more. The hug felt so real.

She sighed and brought up her legs in a crouching position. Confused thoughts ran through her mind more. She started getting a headache. Stumbling out of her room, Andy walked to the kitchen to find some headache tables of some sort. Rumaging through the cupboards, she heard someone walk down one of the halls.

Much to her delight, Andy saw M walk back to his room. Forgetting about her headache, Andy slowly stalked him to his room. Her heart thumped so hard on her chest that she would have sworn M would have heard her at some point in time.

M entered into his room, not noticing Andy sneak up behind him. The door shut in her face. Using her powers, Andy managed to unlock the door and slide in incospicously. She looked over at M who lay on his stomach atop of his bed. He seemed to b asleep but Andy couldn't be sure.

All she wanted to feel was his warm body against hers, the cool sensation of his kiss on her lips. Andy trembled as she slowly made her way over to him. This was nothing like anything she had felt before. It was strange and new to her - this feeling inside of her.

Sliding onto his bed carefully, M stirred at the movement. He quickly turned over to see Andy looking at him from the end of his bed.

" Andy...."
Andy looked down at the bed. Luckily it was dark enough for him not to see her blush. She couldn't say anything - everytime she opened her mouth, the words got lost and she shut it again.
" What are you doing here?" M questioned.
" I....I just wanted to feel warmth...." she said quite timidly, a definite contrast to the Andy that M knew. He saw a girl sitting at the end of the bed, nervous and embarassed, not the life-hardened Andy everyone else knew. He sat up and looked at her through the darkness. He felt need come from Andy as she sat there.
" Please M......I need to feel warmth....and maybe.....love...." she said, looking at him square in the eyes this time. He knew she was telling the truth....and he knew he wanted the same thing from her too.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[Kairi]

[COLOR=DarkSlateGray][SIZE=1]........[I]Andy...[/I] he didn't know what to do...or say. M's body was tired; exhausted from the connection that they had just made prior. Just the thought of her feelings in that dream sent a cold chill down his spine, making him shiver, even in the blankets of his bedroom.

But in the darkness...she saw...she realized that she wasn't the only one who battled within themselves. However, Andy's was more apparent and straight forward; but M...he had it deep down, where no one would see it, not letting it control who he was. In moments alone though, she imagined how he must really be...alone.

Andy crept slowly closer to him, moving herself away from the edge of the bed to where he sat.

''I know about your arm M...I've seen it.'' Andy replied in a whisper, now just inches away from him. ''May I...'' as she reached out to touch his hand.

M didn't say anything...but lifted up his left arm for her to see. Pressing into his flesh with both of her hands, she was amazed at how real it was...as if it were human itself. Locking fingers with his, she slowly moved up his arm with her free hand. Feeling his muscular biceps, his shoulders...then to his chest, where she pressed her palm up against him as she motioned herself to sit on his lap.

''...what happened to you M?...'' she said bluntly, but with a sense of concern and compassion.

With M's other hand her grabbed hers on his chest and held it close...''it was a long time ago Andy...I.....we, my mother and I...'' he was trying so hard to let it out. Like breaking out of a cage, locked away in his heart. The tears from earlier had subsided...but the pain remained...this only made it worse.

''The two of us were heading back home in our little ship on the Moon; I was upset that day...because she wouldn't let me have any friends. Fear that I would do things with my powers while with them. Back then I didn't have control...but I got upset, vengeful...lonely...''

''M......''

''Because of my feelings; we crashed......she was killed, died instantly; and I lived...but the damage was severe. My father was so upset with me, he didn't want me to live, but his co-workers decided to let me live. Just so that they could exploit my powers.''

Andy was shocked...she had taken away both her hands and rested them upon her thighs as she sat on his lap...listening to every word M spoke.

''My father soon forgave me...but...I could never forgive myself. After that...I fell. I had to be quarenteened...because my emotions were running rampad, hurting everyone around me. Took me 3 years to get over it alone...since then I've never looked back. But these parts of me *motioning to his left side...rubbing his right hand up and down his arm* remind me of how I failed her and the few that were around me.''

At that moment...Andy wanted to just embrace him with all of herself...this night, both of them, together, were breaking down for one another. Andy's walls, pushing people away from her...and M's strength...not letting someone help, but helped others.

Before she could do anything...M raised his hand and gently rubbed Andy's smooth skin on her face with the back of his hand. ''Don't worry...please, its only a piece of a neverending past. We all have our dark sides...but.....'' rubbing his thumb across her cheek, whipping away her tear. ''we're never alone Andy...'' M was smiling at her, his strength was undenyable...he wouldn't cry, nor show signs of weakness...he was a humbled man, one who cared for her deeply.

''I don't know what you want from me Andy...'' as he brought her close in his arms around her lower back, as she wrapped hers around his neck. ''and I don't know what to give.............whatever it may be, just ask. I give all of myself...the rest is up to you.''

She was on the verge of tears...Andy hadn't felt this before. Even on his bed...in her weakened condition, M would not take advantage of her. The desire was there...but he knew better than to do such a thing so quickly. She didn't know what to say...she was left speechless.

...''thank you...'' was all that she could mutter out.

M kissed her on the cheek...''your welcome...anytime.'' as he brought his face up to hers. She felt scared...not knowing what to do, wanting to kiss him...love him...she didn't know.

''...are you using your powers again M...'' as she let out a slight chuckle...''is this feeling real?''

*nods* ''whatever you are feeling Andy...is by your own heart.'' as he smiled back. Placing both hands on her neck, both their foreheads leaned up against one another as she placed her hands upon his.

''...can I stay with you tonight...'' Andy questioned...she never wanted to leave him.

''of course...we both need our sleep.'' genlty laying her on her back, placing the covers over her body, he got in as well, and gave her a pillow. But instead, Andy decided to lay her head upon his bare chest, wrapping her left arm around his body, to feel his warmth. M did likewise, holding her with his left hand on her left shoulder.

''Sweet dreams Andy...'' as M began to drift to sleep.

Andy squeezed him tight and drifted to sleep as well. [/SIZE] [/COLOR]

OOC: I agree with the virus thing. Being hunted is only so fun for awhile. And I was confused when everyone thought the vampire that confronted me was the head. I know it wasn?t but I included in my post that Taikaru was to be delivered to the head vampire to take my powers. I just wanted to point that out.

Taikaru was glad to finally back in the underground research center. She sat in her room for the rest of the time cooling down and writing the report on everything that happened. From her capture to her discovery she wrote it down. *Even though I went off on my own for the group I was able to find something that may have something to do with the reason why we weren?t transformed into Lycans.* Taikaru recited in her mind. *The cuts from which the team got would have transformed them but I found why they didn?t transform. Teaming up with the wolf leader, which didn?t last that long, helped me get to the city of the vampires. In this cave I waited. I herd a sound later. It was the vampires being destroyed. This gave me leeway to go in the main tunnel. Once there I found a vile. This vile may be linked to other events. Later, I came up from the burrows and regrouped with the team. On the way back I was attending to Lee?s wounds.* ?Finished the report. Now to get to Red?

Taikaru got out of her cabin to notice something that she wouldn?t expect to see. Andy was following M into his room. ?A game of chase?? Taikaru asked herself with a whisper. ?I don?t care.? Taikaru went straight to Red.

Taikaru knocked on the door. ?Yes?? A voice said.
?Taikaru ready to give my report sir.?
?Yes come in.? The metal door slid open and she went in. ?I?ve been waiting for others but you?re the first one to turn in the report.?
?Yes I worked on it after landing.?
?Give it here.? Taikaru gave Red the report. After reviewing it for twenty minutes Red turned in his chair. ?I see. So where is it??
?Oh yes. Here this is the vile I have retrieved from the cave. I learned on the plan that the president?s daughter was forced to take something. I believe this is what it was. This also explains to me why no one transformed into a werewolf when struck by one.?
?Good work. I will have our scientists be on this one right away. You may leave now.? Taikaru turned to leave. Half way she stopped and turned around.
?Red??
?Yes Taikaru??
?Is it true that you denied us immediate evacuation on our last mission??
?You could say that.?
?Well I want to let you know, if you ever do that again M won?t be the only one after you. M wants to protect us. I know that because of this he was quite angry at you. He even held you to your throat. I won?t do that but you must be wary of ever doing that again.? Taikaru left and went to the living quarters.

She was awfully exhausted from the last mission. She lied down on the couch and immediately fell asleep.

~Dream

?Alright get ready for it. These humans don?t stay asleep forever you know.? A vivid voice said. Taikaru was strapped to some kind of table.
?Where?am?I?? Taikaru said with a weak voice.
?The human is waking up inject it. Do it now.? Some kind of a needle was dropping down with an attached vile. The vile looked like the same one she had picked up.
?Ahhhhh.? Taikaru let out a scream of searing pain. The needle went through her. Then violent muscle contractions happened through her whole body. She felt it. Her arm wanted to move. Finally everything went blank.

She awoke in her room with sweat coming down. Taikaru went to the restroom. She looked in the mirror. *sigh* ?What a relief. I thought that the dream was really real.? She spoke to herself and the sentence was getting slower. She noticed something abnormal in her teeth. Fangs.

Taikaru awoke again, this time on the couch. ?I hate double dreams. They annoy pretty well.? It was morning and no one was up. The clock said it was six in the morning. ?Well I won?t take the chance of falling into another one of those double dreams again.? Taikaru got up and got out some pots and pans. ?Nothing like making a better breakfast. I wish Mr. Netashima gave me some more of those food tablets.? She got out the eggs and some bread. Her skill of cooking wasn?t like she remembered. She thought she was bad at it. She cracked the eggs and watched them sizzle and she had a memory jolt. A flash of her and her mother appeared before her eyes.
?Now Taikaru don?t burn yourself.?
?I won?t mom.?
?Alright I will get the toast ready.?
It ended and she saw the eggs were cooking past the point where she could eat the over-easy. Farel was the first one up.
?Hey what is with you cooking breakfast. I thought you had them tablet things.?
?True but I used those up. I only had enough for ten days and the vampires knocked them away from my grasp. I guess they owe me ten days of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.? They both chuckled a bit.
?I hope that this stuff is good. I don?t think anything can get past an old fashion breakfast.?
?Don?t worry this isn?t poison. Besides since I?m up early enough I will make breakfast for everyone.?

Later at the table, around seven in the morning, there was laid some corn beef hash, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc?
?Well who was the one who made this delicious looking breakfast??
?Hi Ivy Taikaru made it.?
?Good morning Ivy. I hope you had a nice night. I will just be getting the dishes out. It will be ready in at least five minutes. Hopefully the others will be up then.?

OOC: Ok let?s have a nice over-breakfast chat. :)

Lee stumbled out of his room, bleary-eyed but awake. His hair was tousled and he was rubbing his eyes. He walked clumsily over to the breakfast table and took a seat. He saw all the food laid out on the table.

"Who made this?" he croaked. He picked up a glass of orange juice and drained it, clearing his throat.

"I did," said Taikaru, "Dig in. The others should be up soon."

Ivy and Farel were already seated at the table, also looking tired.

"So who actually slept last night?" asked Lee.

"I did, on and off," said Ivy, "But it never lasted longer than around 10 minutes. You?"

"No chance. I had a really weird hallucination, and then I couldn't sleep at all for the rest of the night. I guess its just the whole battle situation-I'm not really used to it. I'm sure I will, though."

M and Andy both walked out of M's room.

"Ooh!" exclaimed Lee, "I see you spent the night together!"

"Quiet, Lee," said M affectionately. They sat down at the table and began to dish food onto their plates. Soon everyone was eating and pulling apart the various ways they wished to kill Red. They were all only joking, however.

Taikaru sat there eating and listening to everyone eat what she had made. Listening to things like the various ways to kill Red for his orders. One thing that Taikaru knew is that she wasn?t alone in hating what Red did to them. Breakfast was going fast from all the hungry team mates not eating on the last mission. Taikaru sat there in thought about the next mission. She wondered if it would be as gruesome as the last one. ?Hey when is the meeting supposed to take place?? Taikaru asked in a knowingly but kind way.
?Yes I think it starts at nine.? M said.
?Well I?m going off to find something interesting to do before the reaper calls us in.? Taikaru said. She left and went to the training room.

Taikaru dodged left and right of what came at her. The holographic looking shots were as real felt. She knew she was in the higher levels. The bullets were real and hurt like a son of a bitch. Their sting lasted awhile. ?Well if my emotions are going to come back now I might as well train with them.? All were of the targets were hit with precision. She also pulled out a sword that had a dark tinge to it. She sliced a few of the targets with it and it disappeared. ?Computer stop program.? The guns knelt down and Taikaru went to the door. She saw the clock outside and it was already eight fifty. ?Oh crap it already takes awhile to get down to the conference room.? With that she ran off to the conference room with speed. She almost tripped at corners and she saw all the lights whiz past her. She got to the door in seven minutes with her breath irregular. She walked in and apologized, ?Sorry if I?m late. I lost track of time.? Everyone was there.
?Oh yes Taikaru take a seat we?re just about to get started.

?Now I read all of the reports turned into me and found a couple to be most amusing. Well I shouldn?t go into detail yet, let?s begin with some of the others. Lee had turned his in and I saw that the barrier put up was quite extraordinary. I just hope your wound given to you isn?t quite long term. M I am happy to say that you did a fine job. The management of everything was precise and the team that you led down in the subway was the perfect choice. Fortunately the rest destroyed the head vampire otherwise you would be dead right now. Carl your gunmanship is some of the best I have read in ages and the Lycans you handled with precision and dead on aiming. Farel I am happy to see you used your abilities appropriately. I like the sneaking up on Lycans and killing them. This will be nice for missions to come. Andy I?m also of great pleasure to see that you have come out of that situation with the best use of your pyro abilities. In the end it really helped the team out from seeing to burning all of the creatures to their imminent doom. Finally I would like to turn to Taikaru. I found that hers was most curious. Her report included her wondering off when you were up top. I think it would be a perfect stealth maneuver but I?d rather see this from Farel. If you got in trouble they would have ripped you to pieces. But she found something useful in the caverns. She found a laboratory that had unknown designs to it. Amongst the rubble she found this.? Red held out a capsule with a clear liquid in it. ?This is why the president?s daughter was the leader. She was injected with this virus. This virus can travel only through liquids. This means a serious threat to Earth now. If they somehow get this virus into the drinking water all the people in the world are at risk. Nothing could be more horrorific than a world full of these creatures. This also explains why the werewolves didn?t transform you when you were scratched and or bitten. They can?t transform you unless they give you this. This is why that all you had to do was kill the head vampire. The bites of these creatures would only transform you for a month or two. The virus here is what fully transforms people.?
?Holy shit! Do you mean that any of us that got scratched or bitten are going to turn into a werewolf?? Lee said.

I never expected though that the virus would be injected into the president?s daughter. Finally as far as rewards and talking about this last mission I would like to award you by granting you passage to the Delta Wing. Yet it still can?t be accessed to people who haven?t read the papers yet.?

?No there is one last thing set. I wanted to tell you about your next mission which will be held as needed. I remember that you guys were told of this Wednesday?s mission. If you remember I need you to go on this one. The reason I made you go on this mission was to retrieve the thing I needed for this mission. We needed the virus to make a serum. The people of the lands from Southern Japan to Northern Indonesia has some monster trouble. This is the same case but the people there are rapidly being infected by the virus. There will be no head and you will have to slaughter them all. The width of this area is only a thin stretch of line. The line is diagonal in shape and is about five miles across. There is believed to be a rupture there. You have the rest of today and tomorrow to prepare. We will be departing nine in the morning on Wednesday. I hope you all have fun. You all may leave.?

''Thats true Lee, thats a wonderful question....this serum that we've derived from you encounters with the Lycans and Vampires will hopefully slow down the infection which is spreading throughout the southern parts of China.''

''What exactly is the infection?'' added Carl. ''If we killed the head vampire and lycan, shouldn't they all be dead now?''

''True...but I didn't say this was the same exact virus.''

Everyone looked at the general in confusion. They didn't understand what he ment...why were they using the serum then for these people?

''In London, you found out that the presidents daughter was infected with a virus, turning her into a vampire. From the information that we learned from Farel about the Lycans, we have concluded that the Lycans were actually natural.''

''Lycans have been living in London for centuries...but usually kept to themselves. With the sudden emergance of vampires, they chose to defend their territory, even from the likes of you. Whatever created those vampires, are also affection the people in China. Everywhere, people are sick...throwing up, and evidently dying. We hope that with this new serum, we will be able to counteract the affects. We dont have much of the serum, and we wont be able to save everyone at this time.''

OCC: Alright...we all still have time left before we depart, so do whatever you guts do:) Sorry Kiba for changing things a little bit...basically, people are suddenly dying because of a new virus that has come up. Heaven believes that with the anti-vampire serum with have an affect on the others, do to the serums ability to prevent people from becoming like the undead. This mission will be mainly study and observation with a nice twist at the end. Not too much fighting on this one...will explain the story much more clearly.

[FONT=Trebuchet MS][COLOR=DarkRed]Andy and M walked down the corridors back towards their living quarters. Andy had her hands in her pockets with a thoughtful look on her mind. M looked at her and then looked back at the ground as they walked along.

" What's on your mind?" M asked, althought sort of already knew the answer.
" Nothing much. Just things...." Andy replied vaguely.
" What sort of things?"
" Do you always ask so many questions M?" She looked up at him playfully. He was half shocked to see that look from her. M smiled back at her.
" Sometimes."

Soon they came to their living quarters and both made their way to the living room. Andy sighed for a moment and looked around, looking decidedly bored. She walked over to the couch and flopped onto it. M smiled. Andy seemed a lot less tense and cold as she was when she arrived here. Even her language had slightly turned into slang. M sat down in the chair beside her.

" I can see you're bored," M said.
Andy nodded, yawning. " What gave you that idea?" she mocked.
M just rolled his eyes. Andy turned over on the couch to face him.
" Do you want to do some training of some sort? I'm really bored M."

Eric weaved in and out of the barrage flying at him. This was actually kind of fun. At least when he was fighting, he could almost forget.

[I]Kill, tear, blood, flesh, fear... A face, familiar, beautiful, dead... Laughter, pain... death, kill...[/I] Lost in the past, the moment. Where everything he'd known was torn from him.

Suddenly, Eric was knocked to the ground by a blast. He laughed at the pain, it was forced. The physical pain was nothing. Not when you compared it to the pain he felt in his soul.

'Freeze program.' he said. Everything froze in place, waiting for the command to start again.

[I]Damn... If only I could just forget, but that wouldn't be right, would it?[/I] He slowly stood, setting himself in a combat stance.

Walking through the corridors together...there was a silence once again between the two of them. M could feel the tension that she was putting herself through.

[I]I wish she wasn't so tight...she doesn't have to worry so much. [/I] he could only imagine what thoughts were going through her mind, especially from what transpired last night. He wouldn't allow himself to look though...wasn't his right to do such a thing...especially with what could be seen was growing between the two of them.

Coming to a electronical sliding door, marked Training Room # 3...''you ready?''

''What exactly are we gonna be doing?'' Andy questioned...as the room went completely dark. From the darkness around her she could feel a warm body press against hers from behind. M's arms wrapped around her shoulders gently...preventing from her to raise her arms.

''What are you doing M?'' she questioned...still in the dark. She turned her head but couldn't clearly see M's face, but knew that it was him. Andy was thankful that it was dark, to show once again the blush that spread across her face. She felt so relaxed and safe in his arms...she loved the feeling.

''We...Andy...are going to help you create that fire within you...run program Creation.'' with a burst of light, the room lite up brightly...showing just the two of them standing in a very large room. ''Lets see if you can bring life to your fire...''

''What do you mean M...'' as much as she wanted to learn from him...she just enjoyed being close to him again. She felt bad though...having to have him make the initiative all the time...to show affection; she just didn't know how too...

''Well...you feel that all you do is destroy and hurt with your pyrokinesis powers...lets see if we can give life...now...*bringing his mouth closer to her ear*...close your eyes.''

A shiver of pleasure shot down her spine as if all the tension within her just melted away. She loved that...the tingling feeling in her ear...[I]is he seducing me...or training me. [/I] Andy did though what he asked...and closed her eyes.

''Now...with my powers...I'm going to help you create an animal in your mind. And in those thoughts...I want you to create it in the real world. If you truly believe that you can...than you can do anything...ready...''

Taking a deep breathe...''ready...''

''Now...picture a dog.'' as he spoke the word...a dog suddenly appeared in her mind. ''Good good...now...picture it in the real world. Using your powers...make it real.''

Keeping her eyes closed, without using her hands...Andy could feel M working through her...embracing the feelings of seeing the dog, and expressed it through the fire.

A warm sensation filled the room as she felt the fire being started in front of her...''wonderful job Andy...take a look.'' As she opened her eyes...she saw the figure of a dog standing before her. Wiggling its tall...having its firey tongue hang out of its mouth. She knelt down and stared into the creatures burning eyes. But its features were sublime...the dog was showing signs of happiness and play.

''How did I do that...its like it has a personality of its own. I'm not even doing anything...''

''All elements have a mind of there own...you just gave it life...a form to take. Here...lets try again.''

Andy was getting excited...with a big smile on her face...she wrapped herself back in M's arms and closed her eyes.

''Now...lets try something harder to control...think of a tiger.'' the same thing happened...a vision of a tiger entered her mind. And stretching her mind in tune with M's....she was able to create the tiger. When she opened her eyes however, the tiger wasn't happy...but acted just like any other real tiger would.

Full of pride and strength...the tiger walked around the walls of the room, staring down its prey.

''M...it doesn't seem to like us...'' as she pressed herself into his chest...fearful of what the tiger might do.

''Don't be afraid Andy...you are its master...you must earn its respect.''

''That I can do...'' walking away from M...she stood in front of the beast, and stared it in the eye. The tiger walked around her...taking sight at the woman standing before him. Roaring and threatening to attack, Andy didn't flinch.

[I]wow...she's quite a woman...[/I] M though to himself...having his arms crossed, looking at her work.

Over time...without Andy flinching...the tiger finally stopped, and slowly moved its way close to Andy, and lay at her feet. Andy felt overjoyed at her accomplishment as the fire died away.

''That was amazing M....thank you.''

''No problem...you see...your fate is not only to destroy and fight. There is so much more to life. With more practice...you can come to tame even the mightiest of beasts.''

Andy was again left speechlesss...but she rushed over to him and gave him a hug.

He squeezed her tight...M was glad to see her so happy.

''Just believe in yourself Andy...and you can create them even without my help...'' he let go of her and took in the smile that was upon her face.

''Shall we go...'' as he turned for the door.

''Don't you want to train for yourself M...'' she asked him...as she followed him out the door.

''I have to train alone Andy....dont take it personally.''

''I wont...as she hugged his arm.'' But she was curious...wondering why.

Andy walked the halls alone as M trained by himself. The exhilaration of what she had accomplished was still racing around through her body. He had helped her do things that she wouldn't have dreamed of imagining. The thought of creating creatures with her fire was exciting and inspiring. She felt her heart leap. Then a thought flitted across her mind.

[i]What would be the hardest creature to control?[/i]

In her mind, Andy ran through all creatures great and small, trying to figure out the answer to her question. Then it came to her. The answer was so simple and yet it eluded her. The Phoenix. The brand that was on her back and was, for a long time, a burden to her - but now, it was something that she wished to create, and try to control. It wouldn't be easy, trying to control the legendary bird of flame, but as M said, if she believed she could do it, then she will.

Walking back into their living quarters, Andy came face-to-face with Ivy and Lee.
" Whoa!" Lee exclaimed as he shot to the side of the hallway, avoiding a collision with Andy.
" I'm sorry Lee!" Andy apologised.
Ivy looked at Andy strangely. " Are you feeling alright? You've been acting weird lately..."
Andy just smiled. " No, not weird. This is normal, the real Andy you could say."
Both of their eyes widened. Lee then smiled.
" Nice to meet you Real Andy," he said, shaking her hand. Andy laughed at his joke. She turned to Ivy.
" Um...Ivy, could I talk to you for a minute please? In private?" Andy asked nervously.
" Yeah...sure," Ivy replied, giving a confused look to Lee. Obviously they were going somewhere, but this was an emergency.
" I'll wait here for you Ivy!" Lee called to the two girls as they made their way to Andy's room.

Quickly making their way inside, Andy shut the door behind her and looked over at Ivy who had a puzzled look on her face.
" So? What do you want to talk about?" she asked.
" Well....I.....ah....." Andy didn't know where to start. She wanted to do something for M, but as she had never felt love, or affection before, it was difficult to know what to do. For a few minutes, Andy tried to pluck up the courage to ask Ivy about M and the such. Ivy just looked at her, her puzzling look growing deeper.

" Ivy....I...um....I want to do something special....for M....but I don't know what," Andy said finally. Ivy's mouth just dropped open with shock. A scarlet tinge appeared on Andy's cheeks. Then, suddenly, Ivy burst out laughing. Andy, hearing her laugh, was a little hurt by it.
" I'm sorry Andy, but it's just very strange for you to ask me about something like that," Ivy said.
" Well, I don't know what to do. I've never been in this situation before."
Ivy smiled. She would have never thought Andy would come to her for advice. " I don't know whether I can help you or not Andy."
" Please Ivy..."
" Oh all right. But what do you want to do??
? I don?t know. That?s why I was asking you!?
Ivy sighed. ? This is going to be harder than I thought .. .?

Starting the trek back to the living quarters, all M could think of was the smile on Andy?s face when she created something with her abilities, proving that they were not just a destructive force. He smiled to himself as he imagined the warmth from her body flowing into his. He opened the door to his room, finding it, as always, completely dark.

Then, suddenly, a small light appeared near his bed. He couldn?t make out what it was first, but it slowly began to grow. It sprouted wings and grew into a rather large bird. M?s eyes widened with amazement as the small flame grew into the legendary bird of flame, the Phoenix. With a soft cry, it moved towards M and slowly wheeled around him. He could feel the bird?s warmth surround him. He even dared to touch the bird?s flames, which, not surprising, didn?t burn him.

M looked around for its creator, knowing only one person that could have done this. He couldn?t see her, or sense her. The phoenix seemed to block his abilities for the moment. It kept circling around him. He was mesmerised by its beauty and its strength, its hardships and its triumphs, all at one time. It reminded him strongly of Andy.

A cool sensation ran across his lips. He looked in front of him to see Andy standing there with her lips pressed ever-so-gently against his, her eyes closed. The phoenix had distracted him enough for Andy to stealthily make her way up to M to deliver her surprise for him. The kiss was feathery soft but packed full of charged emotion. He could hear Andy?s heart beating against her chest.

Pulling back slightly, Andy looked up at M who had a broad smile across his face.
? Do you like?? she asked softly.
? I do indeed.?[/COLOR][/FONT]

Lee didn't know how to prepare for this mission. They weren't going to be doing much fighting. It was mostly a study-and-observation mission, so he only needed to take one of his handguns, fully loaded, and a single spare clip. He walked around the base and wandered into the containment area. There were a few guards patrolling, but he simply nodded at them, and they nodded back. He looked into a few of the cages, some with malevolent spirits flying around, and some with small imps or goblins contained within them. He came to the largest cage, one made of metal, not glass like the rest, and with only a tiny area made of glass to see through.

Lee looked through the glass, and saw what he had wanted to see ever since he had got to the compound. The HellKnight. It was a hulking beast, armour-plated, with glowing red eyes poking through its organic helmet. It saw Lee look at it, and turned towards him. It was chained to the floor by a huge array of chains, all different sizes, from one the size of Lee's fist, to one one the size of a telegraph pole. It couldn't move at all because of these chains.

The door hissed, and opened, and Ivy walked in. The door closed behind her. She walked over to Lee.

"Don't know how to prepare for this mission, right?" she said.

"Yeah. I guess I'm better at preparing to fight, because then at least I know vaguely what I'm getting into. I have no idea how to prepare for a study mission."

"Just prepare yourself mentally. You don't know what kind of condition those people are going to be in."

"I guess you're right." He paused, looked at her, then said:

"We all saw a different side of you in England, Ivy. When you went ape on that vampire. I think you surprised us all."

"I kinda surprised myself too. Anyway, I think we all changed during that mission. Andy broke free of what's been holding her back her whole life. You got rid of something that was limiting your ability to help others. I found it's too easy to lose control. Farel found out the meaning of teamwork. Taikaru found it's not always easier to do things yourself. We all found new sides to ourselves, and I think we are all the better for it."

"I agree. We all went through some serious shit in the name of Commander Red. I think we should really be thanking him, not punishing him."

"I guess maybe we should. Although what kind of asshole refuses his team an evac?"

"The kind named Commander Red, I guess." They both laughed at this comment, then went back to staring at the HellKnight.

"It's impressive what a team can do, isn't it?" said Lee.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I've been working alone my whole career, and the biggest thing I ever killed was one of those South American Golem demons. Have you ever met one of them?"

"I can't say I have."

"They're around 8 feet tall and made of stone. Bloody well near impossible to penetrate their skin. You have to get them really wet, and then their skin starts to sort of rot. Then you can shoot them, or decapitate them, or whatever you want to kill them properly."

"Biggest thing I ever faced. Probably a Leviathan."

"A what now?"

"A Leviathan. Its a giant sea serpent. Blue and green scales, horns on the head, about 40 feet long. You have to get it out of the water to kill it, because it sort of gathers water into it to heal. Course, I got really pissed off with it and it exploded. It was actually a complete accident, but I killed it in the end."

"Wow. 40 feet. That kinda beats my Golem!" Lee and Ivy both burst out laughing.

"Well, I should probably go and prepare," said Ivy. She walked out of the room, and Lee followed her after a few minutes.

Taikaru was at the door of the Delta Wing and the guards there were natural looking. Their uniforms fitted them with their hair. Taikaru paid no attention to them as she walked in. Right when she got to the door the knob turned and when opened Lee and Ivy came out. ?Oh hello Taikaru. We just were just down there. I think you will be quite surprised.? Ivy said.
?I?ll be surprised as soon as something down there does. I don?t think now after seeing the slaughter I would be surprised by anything.? After that they all took somewhat of a moment of silence for the perished bodies of the ones caught by the vampires and Lycans. Taikaru proceeded downward.

Looking through the cages of goblin like creatures and statue faced minions Taikaru came across something that caught her eye. She could hear something in a cage with a small hole. She went over to take a look. Through the glass she saw what looked to be the worst creature you can meet in the dark in Rome. It was the Hellknight and a fine specimen at that. ?What an interesting creature. This one is of great intelligence in battle. Rome and Greece had trouble keeping these things under control. Even though this is one big creature I remember the biggest creature, and most dangerous one, I?ve ever had to deal with. It is much bigger than those golems in South America. It is also slightly bigger than the Levithan in the sea. The underground sand viper is seventy feet in length. While it is burrowed it can strike any creature above the land with precision and deadly strength. The poison in their teeth is a powerful one. One touch of it and a human can be killed instantly. These creatures inhabit mostly Asia. Sometimes they can stray off into the ocean and find its way to other habited places.?
?I see you?ve done your homework.? A voice said from the other end of the hall.
?Yes and I was almost killed by that and you.?
Commander Red came out of the shadows. ?I will apologize once again for the no evac thing.?
?I will accept your tried apology. By the way is there anything I can do that is useful to the team. I?m kinda bored at the moment.?
?Well let?s check it out shall we.? Red pulled out a small brown leather book. ?We don?t have the bottled water in storage for the team. Go to section 6-R and you can use the huge elevator there to raise all your luggage to section 4-A and stack in the water.?
?I understand Red.? Taikaru went up the stairs and out the door. *Section six R is right by training room three.* Taikaru reminded herself. She came to the door and from around the corner she herd training room three open. She saw Andy in a weird like bright mood. She saw a smile on her face. *That one can go from cold hearted to warm and open in nothing flat.* Taikaru thought. *Anyway time for the water.* She saw the button on the right leading to any of the sections. She pressed the button for section 6-R and it lit up and the elevator almost immediately took the cargo bay to 6-R. She loaded the water up and pressed the button for 4-A. This time it took slightly longer but it still was fast. The door opened to a huge jet. ?I guess shadow cleaving will be appropriate.? Out of her palms she made a cart that looked of pure energy. It was the same color as everything she does with shadow cleaving. She put the water on the cart and started moving it back and forth.

Taikaru was still loading in the water and there was still a lot more to go. She was just getting the next load ready when the door opened. ?I see you are participating for the team.?
?Well it is good enough for now. I was getting bored around here. If you want to help Farel it will be appreciated.?
Farel bowed ?Certainly madam.? Taikaru couldn?t help but chuckle a bit at this gesture. Taikaru made another cart for Farel. ?So this is your powers being put to labor.?
?Yes I can materialize objects as long as it is all one part. Take a sword for instance nothing comes off. If you take a gun then the bullets must leave the barrel.?
?I see. What about these carts??
?These are held together by screws and other things. If I could master this power to its potential I could create duplicates of me with my energy. Right now though I only have the power to create things with a black color to them.?
?So you haven?t completely mastered your power??
?No far from it. Just don?t tell M about it. He?ll go and make me train with him and I don?t know about you but every time he trains with someone he makes them become a different person.?

?You know I haven?t had this great of a conversation in awhile. I?m glad to be on the team Farel and I?m glad you are too. Look at that with all the talking we have done, we managed to get all the water into the ship without noticing.?

?We should now head back to our living quarters and retire.? The clock already was at 9 p.m.
?You?re right.? Taikaru went back to the cargo bay elevator. She was about to press the button when Farel came to her. ?Uhhh?Taikaru could it be too much to ask if I could ride down with you.?
?Sure Farel. I would be surprised if you didn?t.?
?Thanks Taikaru.? She pressed the button and they were both on their way back down.
They got back to the living quarters. Taikaru just remembered something from earlier. ?Hey everyone??
?Yes Taikaru.? Everyone said in response.
?By any chance are we going to the coast of Asia??
Andy came up to her. ?Yes we are.?
?Then we have a serious problem.?

OOC: I hope that everyone gets why I put in the water. If you didn?t we need fresh water. As I put in the virus can only travel through liquids. Also if you haven?t guessed the problem is the underground sand vipers. They are in the inhabited places but some may come to the towns. Just want some parts of the mission to be interesting.

Farel was lying on his bed staring at the ceiling as what seemed to be images danced across the surface. It was pictures that he could see in his mind. The first time he had met her, which was actually on the moon base rather than on Mars. But it had turned out that she was on a vacation and was also from Mars. It was kind of like one those love at first sight moments and they sort of knew they were perfect for each other right from that moment. They were all each cared about and Farel had never felt the same way about any woman. Maybe that's why a year after the incident he hadn't moved on with his life.

He knew that she would have wanted what's best for him and that would be to move on. Maybe if she had been just any other person or if she hadn't died so gruesomly he may have done just that. But she was special to him and he always wanted to remember her. Nothing would make him want to let go. Yes maybe he would find another person for his life, but he would never forget her. His one and only true soulmate.

And that was probably why Farel's relationship with God had soured. With her death he had stopped believing. If there was a God why would he have taken away their happiness? What sick person would find pleasure in destroying people's lives? He didn't understand why God had to take her. It may be selfish but he wished that it had been someone else. His real prefernce was that they hadn't been in at the mall that day.

Farel sighed and rolled onto his side. There would be no getting to sleep tonight. The pain and the memories would be just too much to handle.

OOC: Ok Farel doesn't hear whatever it is that Taikaru is going to explain. Also Farel does a lot of his thinking in his room so whenever we are at base I'm going to have a lot of posts like this. Lastly yes I still don't have a name for his fiance, but at a later point I'm going to add something very strange involving her and I'll have a name by then.

Ivy was in the lunch hall eatting a salad when she was called to the office.
"Ivy. We are here to help you with your powers. We think with some help you can control them fully.
"This is bull-"
"Thats enough. We can't have you run out of energy as you did before."
"Andy did."
"Not as soon as you did."
"She has a dampener."
"And that is what we are to do to you."
"No fucking way! If you do that I'll go insane! Only my nightmares can fule me and for the love of god if I can't blow shit up when I'm pissed you'll have a very cut up young lady."
"Your meaning for that saying?"
"I cut to keep sane. or I did. I now blow shit up. You dampen that I'll kill your sorry asses."
"Ivy your a dangerous person when unleashed...as Andy. But you hold more of a threat than anyone. You can not control it. therefore you are shceduled to an operation for a dampener before your next mission. M knows and he will notify you when it is."
Ivy was dissmised where she went outside and found a good place under a tree to sit and blow up pine cones as they fell or rested on the ground.
"This-Is-Bull-Shit!"
She punched the ground and pulled her hat over her eyes to hide her tears as she felt as if she was to lose her greatest gift.
"I suppose I need to find a new blade...damn these people for thinking they know me...my memories are what make my power come to life, my anger towards the damned and what they did. They put a dampener on my anger and memories...I'll have no power period...I hope M knows what they're really doing to me...and the team..."
She took her jacket and wrapped it around her body tightly and pulled the hat down further as she shed silent tears.
"It's not fair...I could be killed..."

[COLOR=DarkSlateGray][SIZE=1]''Are you sure that's necessary Commander...she hasn't harmed any of us yet?'' exclaimed M, who was talking with Red in his office.

''Ivy is a severe danger to this team...I will not allow such a threat to take place out on the field again. Do you understand me M...she is to be administered for treatment with the attachment of a damperer for her powers.''

M didn't say a word...he just gave Red a look and slammed the door shut behind him as he left the office.

[I]...Ivy isn't going to like this. [/I] as he thought about it...worrying about what he would say to Ivy...M remembered Andy's little gift; the image of the Pheonix...and that kiss. He was completely unprepared for it...it was so.........real. M understood that Andy hasn't felt much emotion in her life before. But that made it even more powerful of a kiss...no strings attached...no hidden agenda, she did it because she wanted to.

After that...they just sat and talked in the dark. Just taking in each others presence as the Phoenix continued to burn in the darkness.

[I]...thank you Andy...[/I] she had left him....and had gone off for something else. But gave him a hug before she left...no kiss though. M knew though that she must have felt so embarrassed about it.

M stopped by to see everyone in all there different hiding places. Farel was locked in his room, so M figured to leave him alone...Lee was wandering the hallways of the Delta Wing, they both stood there for a while talking about everything and anything, just as good friends do. As M said goodbye, he realized that he needed to apologize to Carl. M found him in the training facility alongside Eric.

M walked up and shook Carl's hand...assuring him that he would talk to him the next time he asked a question like that. He didn't want to hold out anything from the group...even if it could wait till the meeting. Carl accepted his apology...and continued to train.

After an hour of looking...he couldn't find Andy anywhere. He finally decided to talk to the one person he was avoiding....Ivy. M found her in the mess hall...with her face hiding underneathe her hat. He could only assume that she had been told the news not too long ago. M walked up beside her...and croutched down to speak to her.

''Ivy...''

''Go away...'' she yelled at him, as she sniffled.

''Ivy...its time.'' he tried to say in a calm voice.

''please...dont do this M...you don't know what this will do to me.'' as she lifted up her cap, trying to reason with him. ''please...i dont want to do this.''

''come on...'' still keeping himself calm as he got himself back up to a standing position, looking down at Ivy's eyes.

M began to walk out of the mess hall, as Ivy got herself out of the chair and followed her.

The two of them walked side by side in complete silence. Every now and then...she would tear up, but wouldn't cry. M kept his head looking forward, not wanting to embarrass nor upset her.

''So....how did Andy's little gift go?'' asked Ivy finally...clearing her throat, whipping away the tears.

''How'd you know?'' responded M in a more happier tone of voice. He was glad that Ivy was at least talking.

''She came to me not long before she did it...she's didn't know what to do for you. Andy's says that she's never felt this before...so she's really not ready nor prepared for it ya know.''

''I understand...thats why I'm letting her take one step at a time...with everything. Thank you...for talking to her...helping her out.''

''If you dont mind...may I ask what she did.''

''She created for me a Pheonix..and then kissed me.''

''Andy kissed you?'' Ivy was about to fall...she couldn't believe it. First, for the way Andy had been acting ever since she got to the base, and now with the way she is. And second...the fact that she could create something like that.

''Yea...just a kiss...''

''And the Pheonix...how did she do it?'' now Ivy was curious...

''I taught her...to show her that she doesn't just destroy things with her powers, but to create life.''

''Don't let go of her...'' as Ivy punched him in the right shoulder. ''She's one of a kind...''

''I know...I know...'' as M rubbed his shoulder. [I]Man she can hit hard...[/I]

''Too bad I can't do something like that...all I can do is make stuff blow up.'' Ivy then went quiet again, crossing her arms around her chest.

[I]She really doesn't want to do this...I dont blame her...its better for her to control this power on her own...instead of using technology. [/I] M understood...because he knew how it felt to be bound like that. A past he still can't look back upon. He felt compassion for her...he couldn't think of how to help her with her powers, cept maybe to help control them.

''I'm sorry Ivy,'' as they camp to a door marked TECHNICAL LAB EXPERIMENTS...as he opened the door...''for what your past...and for what has been brought upon you.''

They both entered too see a table set up with a head rest. The doctor instructed for Ivy to lie on her stomach, and to place her face on the rest where her face was exposed. M stood in the corner as the doctor pulled out a clamp with a little plastic pin on it..a chip to be placed behind Ivy's left ear.

Ivy was gripping the sides of the table, crying at the thought of what was about to happen to her. The doctor walked up beside her and leaned forward to place the chip.

''Doctor...'' interrupted M...walking out from the corner.

"what is it M...you know this must be done.''

"I do...but please...let me do it...I'm her friend...she may feel more comfortable with me doing it."

......the doctor pondered over it...looking over Ivy's body. ''As you wish...I believe you know what to do?''

''Yes...'' as M took the clamp from the doctor and moved to the side of Ivy. He leaned down and whispered in her ear...''this is going to hurt.''

Unknown to the doctor, M had a pin in his hand, which he held with the clamp and pushed it into the back of Ivy's ear, making it look like she was getting the chip attached...but instead it was only a needle.

Ivy screamed in pain as she felt something press against her...just the thoughts of what she may become because of this frightened her. The doctor was satisfied...as he nodded his head.

Taking his other hand, M pretended to be pulling away the clamp...but instead destroyed the chip with his fingertips pressed against it. The sound created was so faint that the doctor didn't even notice...there were no cameras either...so no one could have seen. But Ivy heard it...the faint crushing sound in her ear.

M leanded back down and whispered in her ear...''I'll take full responsibility for this Ivy...so you have nothing to worry about. I trust that you will be able to control and weild your powers to benefit us...and not need to help of a piece of technology.''

She slowly moved her head up and down in agreement. She was sweating at the thought of the chip being administered...and now...she was just happy.

''She's all set doctor...I believe that we are done here?''

''Yes...we are...you may go. I will inform Commander Red that the operation was a success.''

Ivy sat herself up on the table, only too see M walk out the door.

''Hey M...whats up?''

''Not much Lee...still here?''

''Oh yea man...I find this so intreging...with all the monsters I've killed...these are truly incredibly...especially this HellKnight.''

''Yes...I know...'' as M stood next to Lee...looking through the glass...pondering on what he had just done. [/SIZE] [/COLOR]

Ivy walked away from the lab sweaty and breathing hard.
"He could have just told me to fake it...damn that hurt..."
She went to the med wing to have her wounds looked at and felt her chet constrict as se remebered Andy and M.
"Wow...he really opened her up...they deserve that much."
She walked back and passed Lee and M, she looked at Lee and smiled.

She passed by pressing a small yellow flower that she had piked up outside into M's hand as she passed,
'Thank you."
She whispered it so low only her could hear it.

[Redemption]

[COLOR=DarkRed][FONT=Trebuchet MS]A garden full of flowers and trees surrounded Andy as she lay on the grass underneath a huge weeping willow. It was a room made a garden in the underground base. She sighed. The soft scent of oriental lillies wafted in the air. A slight cool breeze whistled through the weeping willow's delicate drooping leaves.

Andy missed her home in Athens. The olive trees standing proudly in the Athenian streets, people sitting at the many cosy cafes along the city streets, sipping cups of strong coffee, the smell of food and coffee wafting through the air. It was a beautiful city - in both ancient and modern terms. The Parthenon still stood in its many pieces. The Acropolis still looked over the Medittereanean Sea since the days of the ancient armies.

Rolling over, Andy looked at the blank pages of her quote book. She had read through all of the others. They now seemed all meaningless since she had come here. They were yet another way of surpressing her powers and emotions. How could have she been so blind?

She picked up a foundation pen and wrote three single quotes in the book in large, cursive writing.

Andy finished with a smile on her face. These three quotes summed up what had happened to her the past few weeks. It was amazing how these people had helped her transform. It wasn't just M. Ivy, Taikaru, Farel, Carl, Eric....they all had helped her in some way or another, even if they didn't know it. Just having the presence of people like her around made Andy feel more comfortable with people, and herself.

The ink dried quickly as Andy gently blew on it. These were the three quotes she was going to live by. Even though none of them mentioned God, she still will believe in Him no matter what. Running her fingers over her tattoo on her back, an idea flashed through her mind.

" I wonder...."

Turning back over and sitting up, Andy concentrated hard on making the Phoenix again. It was extremely difficult, as it was last night with M, but this time it wouldn't appear. Something was blocking her effort to do so. Thoughts and images kept running through her mind.

Flames started appearing in front of her. They joined together, warping to make the figure of a Phoenix. It took all Andy's concentration and will to make the bird, and then tame it. Like her, it was wild and sometimes uncontrollable. But under the right influence, it was loyal and obiedent. The bird, now with sharp features, fluttered down and landed on Andy's outstretched legs. She smiled at it and stroked its flaming feathers.

" You are truly a magnificent creature..." The Phoenix's eyes closed with pleasure as Andy stroked it gently. " Thank you for helping me last night my friend."
The bird nodded and nuzzled Andy's hand. Andy had never had a pet before of any kind. Her parents wouldn't allow such things. Especially when her father was in that society of his. Andy closed her eyes. She could feel how warm the bird was.....how it radiated with life.

M's smiling face came to her mind. A smile of her own came to her lips. Then she heard the electronic door open and close. Opening her eyes, she saw M look around and spot her. He made his way over to her slowly.
" How did you...." Andy started.
" I searched for you," he said in reply. He must of meant searched for her emotions. M plopped down beside Andy and looked at the Phoenix that had now curled up on her lap.
" I'm sorry about last night M...." Andy said softly, looking at the Phoenix.
" Sorry for what?"
" I didn't mean to intrude or anything.....I just wanted to give you something special that could only come from me."
M didn't know quite how to answer. For one thing, he didn't want to hurt her with anything he might say. Secondly, she seemed quite embarassed enough about it anyway. He looked at the Phoenix.

" It seems to really like you..." M said, changing the subject.
" Yes.....it does....." There was a disappointed tone in Andy's voice. She wanted M to say it was all right and that he liked it, but he had said nothing. It hurt. Both of them sat there in silence. M, looking over Andy's shoulder, saw the three new quotes in her quote book. He quickly withdrew his gaze as soon as he noticed Andy giving him a small glare. The garden was a nice place to sit and collect your thoughts. At this present moment, thoughts weren't collecting.

Suddenly Andy stood. The Phoenix jumped from her lap to her shoulder easily. M looked up at her.
" Where are you going?"
" I'm going to get some rest." Andy's old icy tone crept back into her voice. She didn't look at M when she said it. " Bye."
Before M could argue, Andy had left the garden and made her way back to her room. M sat there, looking utterly confused.
" What did I do?"

Lee found M out in the garden, sitting with his face buried in his hands. Lee took a seat next to him.

"Hey," he said. M replied with something that sounded like a grunt, but was actually a "Hello."

"You okay, M?"

"I'm just a little confused right now, Lee."

"Anything I can do?"

"Not really. I just need to go over my own thoughts for a while."

"Okay. That's cool with me." He looked over at M, who looked distant.

"M," he said, "You've helped change a lot of us. You took my chip out, you helped Andy control her power, you helped Ivy control hers. Are you sure you don't need help to change? Are you sure there aren't some memories or something in there you need to go over with another person, just to help yourself?"

"How do you mean?"

"Well, if there are some memories that hurt, so you've locked them away inside, maybe you're feeling bad because sometimes we all need to get that kind of thing out in the open. You're always so calm and controlled, but even the best of us need to let loose and get really pissed off every once in a while. Maybe your stored-up anger is getting you down."

"I don't think so, Lee."

"Well, we could try anyway. You know, I think you actually helped me more than you think."

"How?"

"Well, before, I just had telekinesis. Now whenever I'm in a room with a group of people, I start to hear what they're thinking. I think that when you took the chip out, you unlocked my telepathic potential as well."

"So you're telepathic now?"

"I think so. I haven't really mastered my abilities to the extent that I could, say, tell what Ivy really thinks of me, or what's going through your mind right now."

"So how does this help us here?"

"Well, I could go for a dive in your head, and try and find what's bothering you. How does that sound?"

"Well, I don't know. There's some pretty private thoughts in there."

"Oh, and you've never seen anyone's private thoughts when you've been poking around their emotions?"

"Well, that would be by accident."

"And you don't trust me not to go looking in your private thoughts?"

"No, I do. Go on, Lee, take a dive."

"Okay then." Lee placed his hands around three inches from either side of M's head, and closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he was in M's psyche. He saw his private thoughts, and decided to stay away from them. He travelled a little further, and found his bad memories, locked away in a black box. Lee prised it open, and searched through it. He found a certain memory sitting right in the bottom corner of the box. It was black-and-red, and as Lee touched it, his mind was filled with images of a small shuttle crashing on the moon, a woman's corpse rolling down a hill, completely aflame, and a young boy's arm being ripped to shreds. More came out, of the boy seeing his arm being amputated, but not feeling it, due to the anaesthetic. Then he felt a new, robotic arm being put on the small boy, and the mechanics of the arm being covered by synthetic skin.

Lee jolted, and awoke, shaking his head with surprise. How did M keep all this locked away inside? M was looking at Lee expectantly, but Lee couldn't do anything for him. He felt nauseous, and stumbled towards the building. He collapsed at a corner, and vomited, before passing out, with M standing over him...

Taikaru was in her room waiting for something to happen. Even if it was nine at night there was always something going on. With Farel in his room and only a few people she knew where they were, Taikaru decided to make something happen. ?It is bored waiting for a day to pass. I packed all the water in and I really only know where Farel and Commander Red is at the moment. But it has been awhile. I think I will.? Taikaru went underneath her bed and rummaged around for something. Soon she pulled out something that had a small monitor. ?It is only noon on mars. Maybe Mr. Netishima has anything to say.? She dialed the numbers on the monitor.

?Hello Mr. Netashima.?
?Why Taikaru what a surprise. You look?happy??
?Well I reached you didn?t I. I was bored around here. I need something to do.?
?Well you were never bored here. You were never happy either. Seems that the sudden contact between you and your missions have given you emotions.?
?Yes and they are working better than I thought they would. It is finally something that I wanted in life.?
?Well I never would expect you have progressed this far in a matter of almost three days.?
?Yes I have progressed. The feelings of joy, happiness, and accomplishment is somewhat overwhelming. I will soon get them under control.?

?Yes teleportation can be quite interesting. Especially with the virus made from the creatures.?
?Alright I will just have to hold that to Red like everything else. But anyway doc I need you to pull up my research on the underground sand viper. I need to look over it again.?
?Why you going somewhere that may contain these creatures.?
?Haven?t you been informed? I am supposed to go on a mission to the coast of Asia.?
?Oh I see. Well just a second I will pull it up. There you should have it now. I?m just happy to see that the emotions have returned under some control. Good bye Taikaru.?
?See ya Mr. Netishima.? Taikaru turned the monitor off and switched to a laptop. ?If my hypothesis is correct then I wrote down the key piece right here. Found it. Yadda bla bla yadda bla. Ah here it is. The Underground Sand Viper is a vicious killer. Not only is it longer than the equally vicious Levithan but it stalks by movement. The key piece becomes its fear.? Suddenly Taikaru felt really tired. ?Seems work has caught up to me.? She fell on her side to her bed and fell asleep.

~Next Morning

Taikaru woke up with enough time to spare this time. It was seven and she was still sleepy. ?Taking a shower will be most enjoyable. Those filth made me ruin my body texture.? Taikaru hopped into the shower. With steam emanating from the shower she was glad to be rid of the foul stench of vampire claws and Lycan slobber. She got out to find that there was no breakfast being cooked. *It figures. No one is around to cook. Oh well I will eat later. There is nothing holding me back from training this morning.* She was about to run off when M came in the room. ?Good morning M. I presume that you got a full nights rest.? She said in a serious way.
?I don?t know about that. I hope you got some rest last night Taikaru. The mission is starting in a hour.?
?Yes I will meet you at the jet. I have some things I need to do before then.?
?Very well. I will be in Delta Wing is you need me.? Taikaru was glad that M didn?t want to come and train with her. She finally went off to the training room.
?Computer lower installment grid.? A tiny computer came down from the ceiling. Taikaru popped in the data. ?Computer run training program level one with new modification 11935.? A huge brown like snake appeared before her. It hissed at Taikaru as she was steadying her breathing. Soon Taikaru looked like she had been petrified into place. The snake looked around for something but couldn?t find prey. Taikaru took an unexpected slip and the snake jilted its head back and looked at Taikaru. It lounged at her. She put her hands up and made what looked like to be a huge wall with a hole in the middle only big enough to fit one tooth through. She herd it hiss and snarl. The monitors behind her showed her and the snake on the different sides. It started to coil. Suddenly spikes were made out of the wall and holographic blood spewed from the snake. She went at this for awhile but she knew this wouldn?t help in the real battles. *This is only an enclosed area. The snakes don?t coil up unless they have already struck once and they usually attack by surprise. I also can?t project a dome like structure over a diameter of seventy feet. This will pose a problem. Yet, I know how to get them in enclosed areas now.* ?Computer end program.? She said with a bit of weariness in her voice. ?I?ve got to get to the jet now.?

~Jet Holding Bay

The Commander was standing by the jet with a clip board of the passengers. ?Taikaru I am glad that you got all the water in. Please proceed to the secondary cockpit. There will be waiting everyone.?
?So I?m the last one on??
?Yes you?re late.?
?I?m sorry.? Taikaru walked to the secondary cockpit. She saw M.
?Taikaru you look worn.? M said from his seat.
?Does it really look that way? You are just an exaggerater. I?ll be fine.? Taikaru sat down in her seat and buckled up. Almost immediately she fell asleep again.

''Lee...'' M was standing over Lee in shock...was he dead?

M knelt down and felt Lee for a pulse, vomit was all over his body as he lay unconcious in the corner.

''Lee......I'm sorry my friend.'' placing his hand on his forehead, M took back the feeling and images that he had given to him.

''No one must have my pain....'' as M stood back up and walked out of the garden.

His head was throbbing...the walls around him began to get hazey, he felt sick in his stomach...M suddenly lost his balance and rammed his shoulder into the side of the hallway.

[I].....no.......not again.......not now. [/I] be M could feel it coming out. His mind had been unlocked by Lee...and he couldn't close it.

''Commander Red!........''' as M yelled into his earpiece...''its happening again.''

''Alright...I'm sending an A.I unit your way...hold on...dont loss control.'' as the reciever clicked on the other end.

[I]please Red.........hurry[/I] M was now on his hands and knees...gasping for air as it felt like the life was being drained out from him. Images...horrible images and feelings flowed through him...not only his own...but of others.

[I]Andys....upset at me...........[/I] M felt his insides turning at the thought. He knew why...cause he didn't give her what she wanted. She wanted love...he just didn't want to take advantage of her.

[I]Andy...please hear me...I want what you want...I just.......ugh....dont know.....how to........dont know.....how to.......just know....i do love you.......more than you know...i just...w..ant it to be right. [/I] M couldn't finish the message he slumped to the floor...his stomach down.

The A.I unit quickly got to his side and lifted him to his feet...trying to lead him to the Isolation Chamber. M's head was twitching...with the blink of his eyes, images filled his mind, not being able to contain them within himself. Everyone in the base could feel it...that of pain, sorror, hatred, love. All of it was so random...but yet so real.

***FROM THE CONTROL ROOM***

''what do we do now Commander Red?'' asked on of the soldiers.

Red pushed a button for the load speaker to the base as red lights flashed in all the hallways and rooms, sirens blaring all over. ''attention....attention....we are have a code red...please...return to your rooms immidiately. I say again...we are having a code red...return to your rooms immidiately, leave whatever you are doing now...this is an order!''

Everyone in the base began running around in a panic...running back to their rooms as M walked into the Isolation room.

''How far along are you M?''

''I..........Lee........in the garden.........open........me...........needs......he..lp'' M felt so weak, stumbling as he tried to walk with his shoulder around the robots neck.

''We'll get him...just hang on.'' Red directed one of the soldiers to go get Lee...and get him to safety. The living quarters and mess hall were all a good distance away from the lab rooms...so they wouldn't feel the affects as much.

''Sir...why did you send an A.I to go get him?'' questioned one of the soldier...''what the hell is going on?''

''Because A.I's dont have feelings soldier...and if we dont lock down that room soon, or calm M down...we all die.'' everyone was dead silent.

The A.I set M down on the floor which was completely white, Red was looking through a one way mirror set up on one of the walls in the control room. The A.I left as a doctor came in with a syring as the door shut tight.

On and off..M would have another surge of emotion...sending it out into the rest of the base where everyone could feel it. ''M...we're administring the drug to calm you down....stay focused.''

''No...get out of here...'' but before the doctor could respond, M stood up and grasped the doctor by its throat, staring straight into his eyes. M's eyes were black again, just like the Lycan was back in London. In an instant...the doctor went limp...his eyes turning black as well. With a thrust of his arm, M threw the doctor through the window, colliding with Commander Red.

''I'm sorry M...'' as Red flipped as switch and ceiled 4 blast door surrounding the room, completely isolating M from everything. No noise...nothing. ''Activate the surpressor now!.''

''But he doesn't have the drug...'' replied another soldier. But Red didn't care...he needed to protect the rest of the base. He pressed a bottom and the system was activated. The room would not let any of M's mental pathways out, nor letting any in. M was completely shut off from the world.

''no........No.......NO! DONT DO THIS!'' cried M has be banged against the walls. Red couldn't see into the room...but he could only imagine....

''Please...not again Red....no!....please....i can't.'' M was breathing heavily, his eyes were still completely dark. His past...all the peoples worries and pain that he had touched flowed through his being. The room was spinning, he felt like he was getting sick. His head hurt so much...he began to press his palms into the side of his temples as he continued to ramm himself into the walls...trying to get out.

***OUTSIDE THE ROOM***

''Whats going on Commander?'' as a soldier finish checking the pulse of the now dead doctor. His eyes blanketed in darkness...''how could M do this?''

''Whatever happened...M's lost control of his powers. If we didn't get him into that room...we all would have been dead. Our minds would have been drained completely. Before he came here...he was isolated in a room like that for a full year; after the death of his mother...and countless others on the moon due to this kind of episode.''

The men were speechless...

''Back then...M had no control. By a simple thought...he would drain everything from ones mind...memories, feelings, everything...making the person like a shell...absolutely nothing underneathe their flesh. Whoever caused this...made a big mistake. Now...we wait...''

***IN THE ISOLATION ROOM***

''SOMEONE!....HELP ME!'' M yelled out...but with no answer. He was out of control...his feelings speratic; from sad to anger, confused to vengeful.

''AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he cried at the top of his voice. His breathing was rapid, making himself hyperventilate. M was crying histarically...blood running from his nose. The tears soon became blood themselves as the episode intensified. His body felt like it was on fire...as if he were dying.

[I]....andy..........[/I] ''NO!'' as M flung himself into another wall. Her anger towards him was felt 10 fold. He felt heart broken...hurt by her feelings. In the back of his mind he knew better than to act like this...but it was too late.

With the suppressor on...M's thoughts continued to flow out from his being, only to be sent right back to him...no one feeling anything. The sirens had died off outside...but inside the room. M was completely alone...just like before.

His body was shivering, feeling numb....empty. Falling to his knees in exhaustion...he continued to cry, wrapping his arms around himself. Arms, legs, hands were flinching with each and every memory and feeling that came to him. Leaping from one memory to another...reliving his own, as well others emotions. It seemed to last for hours.

''FATHER!'' M yelled...clutching his fists together...drawing blood from both. A faint pulse shot out of M...but was sent right back off the walls.

Suddenly M went blank...his arms became limp...falling to his sides. Just staring into nothingness. Just like his eye...his mind was dark, containing absolutely nothing.

Slowly...he can back to reality....calming himself down. His eyes turned to their normal purple color...as M collapsed to the ground in exhaustion...tears coming down his cheeks.

***CONTROL ROOM OF ISOLATION ROOM***

''There is zero activity within the room Commander Red...'' replied the soldier beside him.

''Open the blast walls...'' as they raised, Red could see M paralyzed on the ground, crying....

''Is it over M...'' he questioned

M couldn't respond while crying...but gave a simple nod.

''Good...we're going to keep you in there for a couple more hours ok M...'' and the blast walls came back down.

''No ones knows of this...do you understand?'' ordered Commander Red to the other soldiers. ''Tell everyone we had a system failuer...thats all...the emotions emmitted were from the monsters in the Delta Wing...understood! No one must know...''

Both soldier saluted and left the control room to tell the others about the situation.

[I]I'm so sorry M...we're here...we're here for you...just take your time to come back to yourself. [/I]

***NEXT MORNING***

Red lifted up the blast doors to see M sitting in the corner of the room.

''You ok M?''

M slowly got to his feet "its over Red...I'm ok.'' his voice and persona were back to normal...the episode was over. ''Is everone ok...''

''Yes...they dont know...dont worry. It's been taking care off...you had us worried M...we almost didn't get you in in time.''

''I'm sorry Commander...but I'm ok...what of the doctor?''

''Dead...''

M noded his head...and took in the loss. ''I guess I'll get myself washed up and dressed now.''

M walked out of the Isolation Room and made his way back to his quarters...making sure no one saw him like that.

After changing and washing up...he met with Taikaru for a moment...and made his way to the Delta Wing...looking into the cage of the HellKnight once again.

***ON THE JET***

''You looked out of Taikaru...you gonna be alright?''

''No problem...''

''Ok...'' M showed no signs at all about what happened that night. He was like he had always been. [/COLOR] [/SIZE]
