RPG Darkness Falls: The Fall of Man [M-VSL]

[COLOR=SlateGray][SIZE=1]Lee fought his way through the morass of darkness on the astral plane, beating through the creature with telepathic blasts, ones which only worked on the astral plane. He summoned all his thought power and created another creature, this one made of pure golden light. It sped towards the dark creature, and as the two met, an explosion of white light blossomed outwards. When the light faded, Lee's creature was gone, and it had taken most of the dark creature with it.

There was a tiny amount of darkness left, floating wildly through the astral plane. Lee finished it off with a telepathic blast. The way was clear. He floated back through into his own mind, and his body woke up again suddenly.

[I]Reality...[/I]

Lee's brain activity monitor suddenly flashed back into life, as did his heart rate monitor. He sat up, gasping for air. He couldn't see, but then his sight returned. He went to clear his head to make way for his telepathic vision, but then realised he could see and he wasn't even using it. His sight had returned!

At the moment all he could see was dark brown splodges, stained with red, and then he realised what he was looking at. He ripped his blindfold off, and his eyes were met with colours, and shapes. He smiled, and everyone around him smiled back.

"Where are we?" he asked, trying to see out of the window.

"We're in Rome. We've almost got to move out, but you can stay here if you want," said M, strapping on his equipment.

"No, I'll come with you. Ivy's gonna be fine, so I'll just throw a field around the jet so she doesn't get hurt."

"As long as you're sure." M left the room, and Lee got out of bed. He threw his t-shirt on, dirty as it was, and put his jacket on as well. He kissed Ivy lightly on the forehead, and he could have sworn he'd seen a flicker of her eyelids. He left the room and got off the jet. Something was wrong. They had landed on a rooftop, but Lee was getting the feeling that something wasn't right.

He looked around, and saw the sun going down on the horizon. He drew his pistols, and moved to the edge of the building, and looked down over the railing. He saw the streets, but there was no-one on them, no-one walking around at all. Something moved lower down the building, a dark shape with wings, that was vaguely humanoid. He aimed his gun, and a huge beast, winged and made of some sort of living stone flew at him from further down the building. It knocked him off his feet, and he fired a few rounds into it. Shards of stone flew off, but no real damage was done. Andy threw a ball of fire at it, but it didn't get burnt. Lee held it in one place with his telekinesis, and fired both his handguns at it. He fired every shot loaded into them, and the beast fell to the ground. They walked over to it, and Lee kicked it lightly.

They stood, looking over it, and no-one saw it coming. It's eyes opened, and it grabbed Lee, jumping off the building with him, falling at great speeds towards the ground below...[/SIZE][/COLOR]

I would like to apologize for my absense as of late....thank you very much for keeping this alive as long as you all have..I commend you all for that. I will be returning shortly to run the rpg...but...as I said in the beginning...this is not only mine...but yours as well.

[COLOR=DimGray]The plane sounded like it landed and Taikaru found it safe to go and see. She walked towards the ramp and saw Lee examining the building and all the shadows starting to come in. Then he looked in one direction with a motion of curiosity. He lifted his pistols but Andy got to it first. The fire being projected didn?t burn the beast only tickled it. Taikaru came down the ramp as Lee left to go see the body. ?Hey Andy what is your definition of safe in this case??
?Staying away from the creature and shoot at it some more.?
?Thought so.? They saw Lee reach the body and examined it. Next the claw grabbed out from the shadowy figure and it took Lee for a dive. Taikaru started to run over. ?Idiot why did he go over by it.? Taikaru was too the edge and saw Lee going down. The building was quite high though. So she put her hands to the ground. ?Hope this works.? A flash of light came from where she was standing and a dark line traveled down the wall to the ground. There on the ground Lee crashed with the monster. The soft landing Taikaru made succeeded. But the creature wasn?t done. Whirling back for another round he headed for Taikaru this time. ?Oops.?
?Taikaru duck!? Lee yelled from down the wall. But it was too late. She was already knocked half way across the roof. She hit her head on the ramp but quickly recovered. Blood was coming down the back of her head and she felt it.
?Damn monster you will suffer for the injury you have caused me.? Then she felt the feeling again. It was somewhat familiar. She stood up and she made a maniacal smile. Then she opened her mouth and said ?Die!? She made some kind of energy. Out of her hands came a sudden burst of her shadow cleaving energy. The creature turned and it disintegrated. A big flash of black colored energy filled the sun setting sky. Taikaru immediately after that felt tired and exhausted.
?Taikaru that was?amazing.? Andy came over to help Taikaru but not in a careful way. Her leg was asleep and her palms were numb. She couldn?t move. She was laid right by Ivy and got some heart monitoring equipment. M then came in with the brain monitor.
?M I don?t need that. I am an able functioning member.? M looked at her with eyes of sorrow.
?You are hurt and you can?t move. You might as well say in Ivy?s condition right now she is able to fight.?
?But just don?t hook up the brain monitor.?
?Sorry but rules of the first aid. It is necessary to hook up the brain monitor.? Red said coming in the room. ?M put it on and then turn it on.?
?What have I said about orders Red.?
?Yes right. Just make sure you get it on.? Red left and M turned to Taikaru. ?You know he has a point.?
?I don?t care.? M ignored this and plugged it in. First it was working normally, then a second later it exploded.
?Well I can see you aren?t going to get hooked up.? M said as the bits were still falling.
?Don?t try again. Nobody should be hurt because of me.?
?I know you feel that way just don?t face off against a creature we never fought.?
?Alright M. But if it would be possible could you get Farel in here.?
?Alright Taikaru.? M said with a smile on his face. It gave her hope that she would get out of her ?glitch?. For a little while Ivy was the only one in the room. *I wonder how it feels for her. She is in a coma just like me. I hope she will wake up soon. No one wants to suffer like this.* Thinking about the strange Taikaru saw Farel walk into the room.
?What is it Taikaru??
?First things first make sure Ivy is asleep I don?t want her to hear this. Second it is about the creature. Third I had dream again.?
?Well that is a lot of steps. But I will do it anyway. You can?t get up so I will have to do it all.? Farel joked making Taikaru smile. Farel went over to Ivy and tapped her on the shoulder. ?Hey Ivy you awake.? He waited five seconds and she didn?t move. ?I guess she is still in the coma. So what is it you want to talk to me about again??
?The creature I got this cut from, it is a gargoyle. It only is stone and prays on any blood it can get its hands on.?
?Interesting. I also saw that you saved Lee.?
?Yes I did but don?t get too off track here. Finally I wanted to say I saw my father in my dreams. He is a tall man.?
?Do you think he?s alive??
?No I don?t I believe he is dead. Every year he goes to New York on New Year?s Eve. He was probably killed by those things.?
?I?m sorry for your thought loss. Don?t worry Taikaru it will be all right.? Taikaru cried into Farel?s arms when she thought about how her parents were dead. ?Taikaru you better get some rest. Tonight is going to be ruff.?
Taikaru stopped crying and looked at him. Her eyes were still moist but she didn?t care. ?Alright Farel. Remember you are the only one I can trust with these feelings and memories.?
Farel looked down on her like a priest in a chapel looking down on a young child. Farel then left without another word. Taikaru fell to the bed weak and light headed. The blood was pumping hard enough that the gauze were soaking in blood. She lied down thinking about what happen to her brother. She then fell gently asleep.

She woke up to find that her head wasn?t bleeding anymore and the light from the sun wasn?t there. She looked around for a clock in the room but there was none. She got up to go outside. Taking the gauze off she felt no blood or cut. She came to the ramp to see Red at the bottom.? Good uh what ever it is Red.?
?Nice to see you awake and healed.?
?What time is it Red??
?It is 8:00 a.m.?
?Why is it so dark??
?Seems that while you were asleep the gargoyles started with a plan of their own. They blocked out the sun so they could live all day and night.?
?I see. What about the others??
?They have gone off to look for the machine. Only you, Ivy, and me are left to defend the ship.?
?Ivy is still asleep. She is breathing now but she is out of the coma. There is still a chance she could go back into the coma.?
?I know that, that is why I left her alone.?
?So where did they scout off to??
?We think it is somewhere beneath the Roman Coliseum. The beam came out of there. And don?t think about leaving. If you go there will be no protection from the ship. Ivy would kill them easily if she was awake. It is only you and me guarding and the gargoyles will kill us all if they find our ship.?
?Alright Red. I will stay if you want me to. But when Ivy wakes up I?m out of here.?
?That will be fine. Now go to the other side of the ship. The Roman Coliseum is that way. If any gargoyles would come it would be from that way.? Taikaru nodded and went to the other side. Nothing was in sight. So she thought of things.
*Is Red trying to kill off his enemies? If so he is doing a good job of it. Taking this mission with us, it is the only way he thinks he can kill M and I. He wants to be top in command again. Well I?m not buying it. He is a foul snake that he is. To kill me and M is his only goal for right now. He wants us out of the picture. He wants to have power.* Then she noticed a figure flying with no wings. As it came closer it looked human. It was Lee coming back. Next she noticed the rest of the fleet on the ground. Then from the Coliseum there came a bigger shadow. It was the massive aerial fleet of gargoyles. [/COLOR]
OOC: There make up what ever you want when I was asleep and thinking to myself.

Ivy was still in the confines of her mind, Lee had come to se eif she was okay.
[I]He's really very sweet.[/I]
she sighed, She still couldn't believe what she had done to them, she had attacked them her own team members. She continued to think. She began to think of her family and then she thought of Lee again.
[I]He pops up so many times...I really do love him don't I?[/I]
She stood and looked around. She was getting out.

Reality...


Ivy sat up quickly and coughed.
"I-I'm back guys and girls..."
She slid off the bed and streched, she blinked as she felt something drop form her hand and looked down, something gold rolled across the floor to the side of the plane. She got down on her knees and looked for it, she looked under her bed and found it as it turned red.
"Uh-oh..."
she stood and ran through the plane as everyone stood hearing her run through.
"Everyone get down!"
She tackled Lee to the ground as M covered Andy. The plane shook and smoke filled the hall.
"I think I'm gonna need some training M..."
"Ivy, what the hell was that?"
"My power's evolved into something more...I can make bombs..."
She opened her palm and a small golden orb came from it and she held it between her thumb and pointer finger and let it explode. A small puff of smoke filtered upward as she looked around.
"This is way cool."
She looked at Lee and smiled, he frowned slightly.
"What's wrong?"
"Your eyes..."
"What about them?"
"They're red..."
She looked into a mirror and blinked. she looked downa dn grabbedf a pair of sungalsses and put them on.
"Lee where's your blindfold?"
"I don't need it, my eye sight came back, I geuss it was temporary."
"That's great!"
She sat down beside him and looked around.
"Okay, what have I missed?"
Everyone stared...this was not the Ivy they were used to seeing or hearing. It was like she was totaly diffrent.

'You can shut up anytime, you know.' Eric said to the empty air around him. He'd been walking around near the Colliseum for the last three hours, trying to find any clue to the machine they were looking for.

And now, he'd taken to talking to himself. Or, at least, something close.

[I]'Still in denial?'[/I]

'No, you son of a bitch,' he replied, 'I'm [I]not [/I]like you.'

[I]'Well, here's you chance to prove it.'[/I] the voice said, [I]'If you're human, you'll die like one.'[/I]

Eric flinched as the his head was filled with images. Stone creatures, flying in the sky, blacking out the sun. They fell from the sky, killing anything they saw.

'Gargoyles.' Eric said, bolting for the airplane.

[COLOR=DimGray]She had mistaken herself. Taikaru didn?t see Lee but something that looked like him. As for the things on the ground they were dogs. The fleet came closer flying at intense speeds. Their stony figure hinted of gargoyles again and Taikaru had to take action. ?Red they are here.? Taikaru said talking to the underside of the plane.
?Alright just hold them off. Ivy is about to wake.? Red yelled.
*How does he know she is about to wake. Who cares I will just have to keep on killing. Show Red he can?t kill me.* The gargoyles came closer every second. Then a familiar voice came to her.
?Everyone at the ship. Get into gear. The gargoyles are coming your way.? It was M talking. ?We are going to infiltrate while they are attacking. Wake up Ivy somehow. You need her to help.?
?M this is Taikaru. I will have Red wake her right away.?
?Just do it. You don?t have much time.? M turned off his signal.
?Red go wake Ivy now. I don?t care what you say just go and wake her.?
?Alright.? Red said. She herd him go up the ramp. Then she looked back at the fleet coming in. She was ready to kill them. *I don?t care if they are abnormal or human. They are threatening our existence. They will all die.* She felt the power flow through her and the energy ready to burst. She was ready but something was happening to the gargoyles. *Red must have woken Ivy. They are all exploding.* All of them were turning into ruble. The exploding suddenly stopped after five minutes. The fleet was still coming. Taikaru drew swords out of nowhere and started at a battle stance. The first of the gargoyles had landed. One swift blow and it crumbled into dust. Then there were two that landed. With her swords both were crumbled. Next was four then eight. Sixteen came down and Taikaru had no problem. She wasn?t even grieving. She was actually chuckling at this. A gargoyle finally got a chance at a hit. It flew in and tried to ram her. She side stepped and tossed a sword at it. It crashed into the plane and was destroyed when the sword hit the gargoyle. The sword disintegrated after that. More came and they were easy to take down. The total number that had landed on the building and hovering above was now at a grand total of two hundred fifty six gargoyles. She noticed the ramp was closed and she was left to defeat them all. ?Pitiful filth. I will grant you what you all want.? She backed off her battle stance and opened her arms to the sky. She didn?t know what she was doing. One gargoyle took his chance. It reached two feet from her when she saw what she wanted to see. Her power made a creature but yet again she fainted before she could see what it actually was.

-Dream

?Come on sis let?s all have some fun and not ask questions. It is your birthday.?
?Alright. I will.? Taikaru said trying to get the jest of what was happening now. She ate her rice and all of them sat at a mahogany table. It looked fine crafted and with chairs that matched. It seemed quiet and peaceful. All were eating and quietly pleasing what they had. Then the day started to go down. All of the light coming through the window started to become a light orange. Outside warm colors of red and orange shown in the clouds and the family started to wind down.
?Well I?m off. I got to go and catch my flight.? Her father said.
?Make sure you come back soon dad.? Her brother said.
?Ok and you listen to mom alright.?
?K dad.? He said.
?And Taikaru make sure you listen to her as well. I will be back again. Bye.?
?Good bye.? She said without thinking. She turned back to Nomi. Then she turned back to the door. The day was over and now she went to her room. She kicked off her shoes and lay in bed. She thought about where she was at the moment. Where in Osaka. Her brother came in cautiously.
?Uh Taikaru.?
?Yes Nomi.?
?You seem to be acting more adult right now.?
She forgot that she still had to be like a kid. ?Oh uh. Well I?m excited that uh father came home.?
?No I think it is more than that.?
?Nomi I don?t believe that I?m any more adult than I am now.?
?Well if maturity is last on your list then just act like it.?
?I am.?
?Taikaru you need some serious help. Speaking of which.? He took a slight pause. ?With you being my younger sister and all I would like to say that if anything were to happen you could find me. Find me at my favorite place. I will help you.?
?N?Nomi?? She said in a concerned way.

-Reality

The gargoyles started to back off. It was the same group. Taikaru got up and they all flinched. They had a cowardly look in their yellow eyes. All of them were glancing at each other and then back at Taikaru. Finally out of the silence she herd a voice.
?Taikaru get back in here.? It was Ivy. Taikaru ran up the ramp and to the room where Ivy was. In her hand were about twenty little golden orbs.
?Taikaru you may want to buckle up.?
?Sorry Ivy I?d rather not.?
?It is your funeral.? She tossed all of them over the broken window. All of the gargoyles went over to investigate. They all exploded two seconds later. The golden orbs made a such a huge explosion the entire plane started to tip over.
?Oh crap.? Red said with him ramming against the window. Taikaru quickly put her hands to the floor and made a support on one side. Making the support grow slowly the plane tipped back to upright position.
?That was close.? Taikaru said staring at the huge gapping hole down to floor of the building they were on top of.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=SlateGray][SIZE=1][SIZE=1][COLOR=SlateGray]"We can't stay on the plane forever!" shouted Lee, firing shots through the windows at the gargoyles, giving Ivy support. The gargoyles were slow, but incredibly durable. Lee had been shooting one for almost five minutes, and it wasn't dead yet.

"How the hell can we fight these things?" shouted Taikaru.

"We need more explosives. Ivy, keep creating those bomb things, and I'll see if I can find some grenade packs in the back of the plane!" Lee shouted as he ran down the plane. He searched through the cupboards in the back of the plane, and as he opened one, something burst out. It was a zombie which had been stuck in the cupboard, apparently since they had left Hong Kong. It lurched towards Lee, skin falling off in chunks, and it's joints creaking. Lee took a calm step backwards and fired a clip into its face. It fell to the ground, blood making a pool on the carpeted floor.

Lee found what he was looking for, and collected around a dozen grenade packs from the storage cupboard. He ran back to the others, and threw Taikaru a couple of packs.

"Remember, we only have a few grenade packs, so use them carefully. Only use them on large numbers of gargoyles all grouped together. Like those ones over there." He pointed at a group of gargoyles, and pulled out one of the pins. He hurled the pack towards them, and it landed in the middle of the group. They stared vacantly at it for a second, then it detonated, blowing them all to chunks of stone, which rained down on the plane. Ivy continued to create and throw bombs, and Lee and Taikaru threw select grenade packs at their enemies.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=1]Lee saw the gargoyles fleeing, jumping off the edge of the building, presumably to fly back down to the ground. The team emerged from the half-wrecked plane, and cheered. They moved to the edge of the building, picking up the wreckage of the plane and the building on the way. They looked over the edge of the building to see nothing but darkness. The darkness was moving, though. The street lights were blocked out by the darkness, and then they realised. The darkness was, in fact, a huge swarm of gargoyles, flying up for a new attack. They burst up above the crowd, and into the sky, their wings spreading. They swooped on the team, and attacked. The team was firing wildly into the flock, not knowing whether they had hit anything or not, and knowing that they wouldn't kill anything.

Then, as suddenly as they had attacked, the gargoyles flew away again. All but one of them, that is. This remaining one sheathed its stony claws, and moved over to Lee. Lee drew his weapons, ready to fire on the beast, but it put its hands up in a very human gesture of peace. Lee dropped his guns, and sheathed his sword. The gargoyle moved to him, and outstretched its hand. Lee did the same, as the others stared on in amazement.

There was something clenched in the gargoyle's hand. It was a small envelope. Lee took it, and the gargoyle bowed to him. He bowed back, and the gargoyle took off. Lee opened the envelope. Inside was a playing card, and a message. It read:

[I][SIZE=1][CENTER]"This will lead you to the source of the virus"[/CENTER][/SIZE][/I]

Lee looked at the card. It was the red Joker. He seemed puzzled for a moment, and then worked it out.

"What is it, Lee?" asked Ivy. He turned to her and held out the card and the message. He looked very white, and was shaking.

"The joker? I don't get it. How will this lead us to the source of the virus?"

"Its an old joke. My father used to do a magic trick with the red joker, where he would tear it in half and then put it back together somehow. It was my favourite trick as a child."

"So? Why does that have any relevance?"

"Because I think my father created the virus."

"What?" exclaimed Ivy.

"My father was supposedly killed in the New Berlin incident, but I had a vision a while ago that told me my family were still alive, and had been taken by the virus. I didn't really think anything of it at first, but now, seeing the card, and the way the gargoyle gave it directly to me, I'm beginning to have my suspicions."

"You do realise that if your father threatens to release any more of the virus, we will have to kill him?"

"Yes. And I think he wants me to fight him alone. You can't follow me, I have to do this alone."

"No, Lee, you can't!" shouted Ivy, "We're here to help you!"

"You can't this time! Not with this! We need to find a hotel somewhere to stay for the next few days, somewhere safe, where no gargoyles can get in. Can you find us somewhere, Taikaru?"

"I'm sure I can, Lee." Taikaru walked off to find them somewhere to stay.

"Andy, you need to find Eric and Julius. They should be somewhere close by. I need to prepare to fight my father. Ivy, when Taikaru finds us somewhere to stay, I need you to get everything down to the hotel. Understood?"

"Sure thing," Ivy said. She kissed Lee on the lips, and then walked off to help Taikaru.

"I can't believe it. First vampires and werewolves, then sandvipers, then zombies, now gargoyles, and soon my own father? I have all the luck."[/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR]

[Akieen Cloud]

Ivy lookaed at Taikaru and sighed.
"Something tells me I should go with him Tai..."
"Tahn go."
"He told me to go with you..."
"You never follow orders from anyone...not even Red."
"Good point. Can you handle everything?"
"Sure can, go with him, I have a feeling you should go too."
She nodded and tunred running back towards Lee.
"Lee! Wait!"
He tunred and blinked.
"I thought-"
"I will not let you go on your own, you either kill me or deal with it."
Lee looked at her frowning.
"Ivy, this isn't fair..."
"I don't care Lee, I have a strong feeling I should go with you, I feel like I do not need to leave you alone..."
Lee turned and began walking down the street away from her, she followed silently. She followed him into a broke down building.
"Why? Ivy I asked you to stay there."
"I can not. You know that."
"I know that your here and you could be put in danger."
She walked up to him cupping his face gently she smiled sadly. She kissed him gently and looked at him lovingly.
"I love you, people who love each other should never let the other fight a fight without the other thaere to back them up...did you understand that?"
"I understood."
She kissed him againgrabbing his hand.
"Lets go."
They ran out of the building just as it started to rain.

[Redemption]

[COLOR=DarkRed][FONT=Trebuchet MS][b]OOC: Ok, things are getting a little out of hand.[/b]

Andy rushed around, trying desperately to find Eric and Julius. Luckily the gargoyles didn't hassle her otherwise they'd get a taste of her new and improved powers. She ran around the cobbled streets of Rome but to no avail. Julius and Eric had disappeared somewhere. Andy cursed rather loudly.

The fire Phoenix appeared burst out of a flame Andy held in her hands. It screeched loudly and then settled on her shoulder contently.
" My friend....can you go find Eric and Julius. I can't seem to find them."
The bird nodded and took off into the semi-dark sky. Andy watched the bird fly away sadly.

She walked back to find the others. Everyone had split up, which wasn't a good idea these days. But they wanted to go off. There was nothing Andy could do to stop them. She sighed as she walked.

Things were going so haywire lately. The virus, gargoyles, vipers, everything. And now this. M was off somewhere. She hadn't talked to him much since they left for Hong Kong, and that's when things got really confusing and out-of-hand.

Feeling like there was too many things going on, Andy found somewhere to sit down for a second. The streets were empty from the gargoyles' rampage. She felt no signs of life nearby. The city must have been evacuated. Sighing, Andy got to her feet. She was starting to tire.

Andy walked back to near the Collessuem. Looking around for any sign of the others, she saw her Phoenix in the sky. Eric and Julius came running towards her. A small smile came to her lips.
" I'm glad I've found someone," Andy said, relieved. Her Phoenix settled on her shoulder. Eric didn't look too impressed. Julius puffed a little from their run.
" Where are the others?" he panted.
" They disappeared," Andy said, a hint of anger in her voice.

Suddenly M appeared behind Andy and scared the wits out of her.
" We should find them, and quickly. No doubt Farel will be with Taikaru and Lee with Ivy," he said, authority reething in his voice. Eric and Julius nodded. Andy fell silent. She noticed something about him. His eyes were jet black - something which scared her.
" Lets go after them then," Eric said gruffly.

Slowly the four went off and followed the track of Ivy and Lee.

[COLOR=DimGray]Taikaru walked along the road looking at the crumbled columns and the papers flying. ?What a dirty town. Especially when the paranormal inhabit it.? She kept walking on. The gargoyles started to hover above instead of swoop down and attack. They seemed to have a quiet since of waiting. Taikaru looked up in the sky for re-insurance of this. They hovered above the coliseum. Taikaru looked back down at her feet and closed her eyes while she walked in almost complete darkness. ?Farel you can stop hiding.?
?Hey how did you know I was here??
?You just said.?
?Well I guess you got me.? Suddenly Farel appeared two feet from Taikaru.
?Actually not only that you smell of gargoyle.?
?It is the smell of a warrior. Not of someone who didn?t take a shower in awhile.?
?Farel come on. You know I?m looking for somewhere to stay.?
?Then why don?t you look at the buildings instead of me.? Farel said. Taikaru didn?t notice but a bit of blush wiped across her face. She looked at the buildings most of them in better condition.

?I guess that makes you not such a good tour guide.? Taikaru said. They happened upon a hotel after that. It was huge and the only part that was actually broke looked to be the electricity to it. Taikaru turned on her communicator. ?Everyone I found a place. It is a hotel that is pretty hard to miss. It is called the Foot of Mount Olympus.?
?We?ll be there a little later. Hold your position until we arrive.? It was M on the intercom. Taikaru looked at the hotel again.
?I guess we should go in. It will be nice to get you cleaned up Farel.? They both laughed and went through the front door. The room was dark and had statues in the main lobby up to the fifth floor ceiling. The name was right for the hotel. Farel was right behind Taikaru not to get lost or something on that line. ?Farel do you have any light that we could use??
?Let me see.? He opened a bag and rummaged through it. ?Here we are. We have these flash lights. They should last us until someone gets here.?
?Alright Farel if this is all we have for now let?s check the perimeter. I don?t want any gargoyles going mad here. I also don?t want any zombies left over. If the virus did come here it must have turned most of the population into gargoyles. The last bit is zombies.?
?So in other words we get to go zombie hunting again.?

?Oh great. I thought we had enough trouble with those things in Hong Kong. But how do you know they are here?? Farel asked. Taikaru pointed the flash light down to the floor. There was blood there just like the zombies in Hong Kong. ?I get your point.?
?Ok now we don?t have anything to light up these zombies and we don?t have anything of a holy matter. So we will have to sever their spines in the end. You can sneak up behind them and break them. I will use something I been working on to kill them.?
?Ok I now get the part about the zombies but how do you think we will be able to find them all in this large place.?
?I don?t expect to.? Taikaru turned with the flash light after that and started to walk down the hall. Farel treaded close behind. Following the blood they reached a closet. ?Farel you will have to open it so I get a clean shot.?
?Ok Taikaru I hope you know what you are doing.?
?I?m taking out a pitiful zombie.?
?Alright let?s go with that.? Farel opened the door but the only thing found was a zombie already severed along the spinal cord.
?Oh god.? Taikaru looked away. Inside were more heads of zombies and living things too. Maggots infested all of this. It smelled fowl. ?Close the door Farel.?
?No need to ask.? Farel closed it gagging on the stench. ?I ask who could of done that to the zombies.?
?My guess is the gargoyles couldn?t have mindless zombies around so they went and killed them. They seemed to have done a good job piecing them up. I?m guessing this used to be zombie HQ against the gargoyles and the Roman coliseum was the gargoyle HQ.?
?So how do we know if this place is safe or not??
?I don?t think it is. It is zombie HQ. Something tells me that we ventured in a little too far. We should go before we are something?s dinner.? They walked back down the hall. Metal and other things were crashing. They herd the moaning of the zombies. The zombies were coming. They were right under the balconies in the main lobby when from above fell a zombie right on top of Farel.
?Get this thing off me. It feels like a walking swamp.?
?Hold still for one second.?
?Do you think I can hold still while a zombie is trying to claw at my throat??
?Yes I do.? Taikaru then let out a shot from her pistol. In the light you could see the spinal cord right at the neck exploded and shattered when the bullet hit it. The head lay limp and Farel tossed it off him.

?You forget that we are at zombie HQ. We are no where near a safe zone if we step outside. But we will have more room.? Taikaru and Farel ran out the door and found zombies on every street coming towards them.

?Fight them off. We really need Andy at a time like this.? The night was dark and the machine that projected the darkness into the sky even reached to the hotel. The only light visible was the dropped flash lights and the guns firing. The familiar sound of bones cracking came from all over the place.
?There are too many. Do you think we can still hold them off??
?I believe so.? Then there was a click instead of a shot. ?Or maybe not. I?m low on ammunition.?

?It is up to them. And from the looks of it I think they want to go one on one million.?

?No be my guest I will get the west road. You can get the east road. We then both charge up the north road to get back to the jet.? They nodded and the fight was on. This time it was close combat of blood splattering in their face. There was enough there to make any training day fun. First one Taikaru took out with a horizontal slash with her small blades. Next was a diagonal thrust downward and out. With her small blades she barley cut the spinal cord of the two. ?I need to change tactics.? She put her hands together and formed a dark sword made form materializing her energy again. ?I only hate it when I have to go deep inside them.? She swung with great power and cut ten zombies spinal cords and decapitated five of them. ?Twelve down and nine hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred eighty eight more zombies to go.? The thrust given to the zombies over powered them and shoved them to the floor. The zombies started to close in though. She was being over numbered. The north zombies started to close in on her. They probably started to close in on Farel as well. ?That is it. M anyone that can defeat evil creatures from a virus that mutated in Hong Kong. I need you over here immediately. I don?t care what you are doing but I need?? Taikaru took a pause to kill a zombie coming at her with her dodges. ?Sorry but I need anyone here to help us out.?[/COLOR]

'I'll go,' Eric said, 'I have some frustrations to work out anyway.'

They all paused, 'You're going to face an army of zombies to work out frustrations?'

'Do you even have frustrations?' Andy asked.

'You can come with me,' he said, 'But, I guarentee you won't like what you see.'

'It's up to you.' Eric told them, turning to walk away.

[COLOR=SlateGray][SIZE=1]Huge splashes of rain blossomed on the street, and the water mixed with petrol from the cars to form rainbows on the ground. Lee's boots disturbed these rainbows, water splashing from the ground with every step he took.

He and Ivy walked, determined to find Lee's father, the man responsible for all of this. They splashed through the wet street, moving north.

[I]A shadowy figure watched them from the rooftops...[/I]

They reached a building where all the gargoyles seemed to be gathering. Hundreds of them sat on the roof, folding their wings behind them. They sat, perfectly still, like statues, as gargoyles were meant to be.

Lee entered the building, and found death and destruction everywhere. Bodies lay strewn across the floor, blood seeping out of them. Glass was smashed, walls were broken, and bits of plaster and shards of glass lay on the floor. They advanced quickly but cautiously through the building, shaking off the water from the rain outside. The lights in the building were out, fuses were burnt out or something.

They reached the stairs, and Lee drew his gun, and began climbing the stairs. Ivy took her shotgun out and followed. They were around halfway up when zombies dropped down from the floors above, landing clumsily on half-broken bones. Lee and Ivy let rip, and soon they were all gone. They continued up the stairs, and more dropped on them. They made short work of these ones as well. They eventually reached the top of the building. The lights were still out on this floor, but moonlight was seeping in through the broken windows. Lee and Ivy took a few cautious footsteps forward, when a voice resounded around the room.

"Well, hello there, Lee. I wasn't expecting you to arrive here so quickly. I thought you would have taken your time, with the person you want to kill being your own father!"

"Where are you?!" shouted Lee, his voice echoing around the room.

"Why don't you guess?" replied the voice snidely. Lee tried to use his telepathy to sense the man, but he was being blocked somehow. He picked up a table with his telekinesis, but then dropped it, his telekinesis being blocked as well. His guns and sword flew out of his hands, and clattered to the floor.

"Where did you think you got your powers from, son?" asked a voice from the shadows. A figure stepped out. It was an old, but healthy-looking man, with short grey hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a business suit, with a white shirt and a tie.

"Dad?" said Lee, unbelievingly.

"That's right, Lee, it's your daddy!" replied the man. Lee moved towards him, but the man outstretched his hand, and bolts of electricity flew from his hand into Lee's chest. He flew backwards, shocked by the electricity. He landed on the floor, and his father shot electricity into the floor, and it conducted and hit Lee. He flew up into the air, and hit the ground with a thud.

"You stopped being my son when you started destroying my creations!" he shouted, enraged at his son.

"And you stopped being my father when you killed all those people!" gasped Lee.

His father threw another jolt of electricity at him, but Ivy stepped in front of Lee, taking the shock for him. She stayed standing, but was weakened.

"Ivy," said Lee weakly, "Don't..."

"I'll do whatever I can to protect you from this bastard, Lee!" she said. She took another shock for him, and fell to one knee. Lee's father laughed.

"So this is your girlfriend, is it Lee? I thought you would have done better, with your looks and talents."

Lee stood up, and his father threw him across the room with his electric blasts. He smashed into a desk, and fell to the floor, apparently unconscious.

"Now to deal with you," he said, turning to Ivy. He poured electricity into her, almost overloading her system. She writhed on the floor in agony, clutching her chest as she felt her heart slow down. He cut off the flow, and she lay on the floor, smoking and burnt. She groaned in pain and rolled on the floor.

"Now to finish you off," said Lee's father, but he was stopped by a burst of blood splattering onto the wall in front of him. He looked vacant for a second, then realised it was his own blood. He fell to the floor, a bullethole in his head. Lee stood behind him, holding a smoking gun.

"I'm sorry, dad, but its what you deserved." Lee staggered over to Ivy, and lifted her up onto his shoulders.

"You stupid child!" shouted a deep, inhuman voice, "You don't have any idea how powerful I am!" Lee turned and saw his father, who had grown to almost twice his former size, bursting out of his clothes, and he held miniature lightning storms in his hands. He leapt towards Lee, who thrust his sword upwards. It went through his father's chest and up into his skull. He was completely dead now. A small vial fell out of his shirt pocket, filled with green liquid, and another one, filled with blue liquid. The virus and the anti-virus. This is just what they needed.

Lee left the building, carrying Ivy over one shoulder, and walked back to the rest of the team...

OCC: *smiles* wow....what a story this has turned into indeed. Again, I apologize for being away for so long. This post will clear up everything...and get things back on track. This thread will be closing...and a new one will be opening up for you all to rejoin, and for others as well. Be ready...cause the next chapter will be nothing like the others;)

The team has been left crippled..for days they have been fighting an unseen enemy; a virus which spread like wildfire. All of project heaven put there efforts towards healing the planet from the virus; with the anti-virus now in their possession.

Now..with the earth at peace for the moment..the team returns to their home. New York City looked alive again. But the rest of earth still lay in darkness...they could only do so much. But with time..they would heal.

Lee and Ivy's passion for one another grew; each others turmoils supporting and comforting one another as did Taikaru and Farel's. Julius, Eric and Carl continue to train; preparing themselves continually for anything that may happen in the days to come.

Andy's powers continued to grow, now with the tattoo gone from her back..she truly became the goddess of fire. But in her turmoil...she began to push M farther and farther away from her. He could only help so much..his love for her undying..but it didn't seem to be enough for her.

So..M continued to lead the team in the month that came; and now...here they all are...back at the base...awaiting to see if their efforts were in vein or not. As happy as he was to see everyone settling back into their comfort zones..not having to worry about fighting for the time being..M still felt......that something else was coming....[/SIZE][/COLOR]
