[color=royalblue]A thousand miles off the coast of Mizu, the ocean water stirred. Boiling salt water rose to the surface as something beneath the waves awakened. Below the water, a dark form shifted, as if rousing from some deep sleep. The water raged, swirling around the spot as a great white light exploded from the water.The waves built surging in all directions, salty spray creating a mist about the minature wirlpool. The light grew and expanded upward toward the skys. The blinding light could be seen form great distances.


On the contenent, a girl sitting perched upon a branch, the patter of rain drumming the leaves, she slowly opened her eyes. A beam of light could be seen from her vantage point in the tree that she slept. The girl stood to get a better look. The beam of light seemed to go on foreaver, pearcing the heavens. She stood watching in astonishment.

Later on that day, the same girl walked through her home village of Hirendai,(rather large, but a village just the same), when she noticed peices soaked of parchment nailed to doors and some taped up in windows of shops. Peering closer the girl was startled at the flyers writing.

She nodded slowly, wondering at what type of person would join shuch a quest. The idear tugged at her until she started off toward the palace, to inform the guard she wished to join in, the light sparking her curiosity. Her gossomer wings folded, opened, then resettled upon her back as she walked, one bare foot stepping gently in the mud as she walked silently through the rain Towards Ame, the capitol city where the king's castle was located.

[*]Decription: Ai is verry slender, her outfit common among Faries, ragged and oddly colored. Her pale skin adorned with red strokes on top her hand and next to her eyes. She wears one thigh legnth striped sock, the other foot and leg bare, save the bow around her left ankle. Her baggy bottom of herl ong dress brown and tattered, streaked with crimson in places, a scarlet sash tied tightly around her waist showing off her thin frame. The top of her dress a gray brown, adorned by her long flowing gray hair. Her elfish ear compliment her face, as well as her painted gray lips. The circlet upon her brow signifies she possess magic, as does the four braclets encircling her right hand.Her greyish wings fold delicately upon her back, not much for pure flying, but good for short distance and hang time. And the only pendant she owns hangs verry lengthy from her neck, almost to her thighs, the shape of a diamond, or lopsided square.

[*]Equipment: She carries only what fits in the many hidden pockets of her dress. Among shuch items are various small weapons, a tinly leather bound book, torn and tattered, contanting various spells, and other trinkets and nick nacks.

[*]Biography: Kagirinai Katsunay, A Farie born to poor parents. Shortly after her birth her mother died, from complications, her father followed soon after from loss of his belovd. She was sent to live with her grandmother who taught her the ways of magick, to study its movement, and its arts, how even in their land of Eternal Rain you can find a sunny soon to come. After her grandmothers Death Ai set out alone, her only companion a white Carbuncle by the name od Ki. Pronunced [Kay]. She wantdered the forests of her ancestors, looking for a meaning, and the odd light, and kings question, being the perfect place to look.

[*]Spells: The only spells she knows are simple, subtle, namless. She knows the only by what their effect is, not by calling upon them.

[*]Abilities: As with all faries she can fly, sorta. She can also teleport and shapeshift, with plants only howeve, as all faries can, for protection, the ability to blend perfectly with anyhting in nature, trees to grass.

[*]Misc.: Background info on their world. Their land is made of 4 contenets. One with a outragos majority in one of the for elements. Mizu, is the water contenet, the rain never ceases, but oddly the ground never becomes too sloppy, and floods rarly occur. The sky stays gray, night or day, though you can tell by the brightness of the clouds wether it is day or night.

[u]Description:[/u] The accidental hybrid only stands 3 and a half feet tall and has soft sky blue hair that goes down to her shoulders. Faint marks on her cheeks look like scars but are actually gills. Her body could be described as fishlike, with short, pale green protrusions where the shoulder would be--these used to be her "fins". The rest of her body also somewhat looks like a bright aqua dress with patches of sea green here and there. This includes her elegant-looking tail which especially enhances the appearance of the "dress". But aside from being a mermaid, she does have dragonlike features, including thin and hardly noticeable legs which are inside the skirtlike tail, with teal feet with claws at the end. Also beneath her "fins" are dragonlike arms of the same color. Where her ears should be are what look like pale blue wings. She does, however, have real wings which are the same color as her arms and pretty much dragonlike. [u]Equipment:[/u] She carries none for fear of losing whatever she carries while swimming.
[u]Bio:[/u] Koya was born as a perfectly normal mermaid in the same ocean where the light came from, but about fifty miles away from it. Her best friends were a group of dolphins she loved to play with all the time. However that all ended when a shark came one day and ate one of the dolphin's babies. This greatly upsetted Koya, so she tried to put a spell of some sort on the shark, but it didn't work. Ever since then she was teased by the shark. At the same time she prayed for some way to get rid of the shark, or some magical abilities to make her seem less helpless. But fortunately for her, she did find herself equipped with some magic right on the day the light first appeared. Since then she wondered whether it was the light that gave her her powers. However, one day she got so excited about those powers that she accidentally cast a spell on herself, which almost turned her into a dragon. She hasn't been able to reverse the spell, but she kind of liked its effects.
[u]Spells:[/u] Her spells are more in the form of suggestions--in other words, they can make people do certain things. They can also be used to affect certain objects or make them move.
[u]Abilities:[/u] Koya can talk to sea creatures--this came naturally from being a mermaid. Of course she can also fly and breathe underwater. The self-indiced dragon spell allowed her to breathe fire as well.
[u]Misc:[/u] Her kind are highly spiritual creatures, each "clan" worshipping a certain sea creature (dolphins, in her case) and having their own "astrological" system based on the weather.[/color]

On sunny days, she'll wear a tall blue hat with gold trim, that almost looks like a crown. Izza doesn't wear any jewelry, or at least not any that's important to her. But she does have an odd tattoo on the middle of her back that she can't explain.[/b][/color][/size][/font]

Besides that, she carries a looking glass, a flute, a slingshot (with ammo.) and a small, silver box that she's had with her for as long as she can remember.[/b][/color][/size][/font]

[font=Book Antiqua][size=2][color=deepskyblue][b]Biography: When Izza was a young child, she was found by a lumberjack while he was gathering firewood for the approaching winter. He happened to see a young, naked child asleep on a strange creature. When he walked over to the creature, he saw that the child was actually a baby elf. Taking out the cloth that his wife had packed his lunch in, he took the elf and wrapped her in it. He decided to take the child home to his wife, since they only had one child of their own. But he soon found out that the creature wouldn't stop following him. On closer inspection, he found a bag tied to the creature, that contained a note, and a little silver box that he couldn't open. He put both in his pack, and continued to walk to his house. He decided that the creature was harmless, since no harm had come to the child. On his way home, the tattoo on the elf's back reminded him of a song he had heard as a boy. He then decided to name the baby, Izzakarideelanokas. Which roughly translates into, "The Young Maiden Who Is Like the Trees For She Sleeps So Softly, Spending Her Life In Dreams." When, he got home, his wife and son, (who was only a baby at the time also,) seemed to like the new member of the family.[/b][/color][/size][/font]

[b][font=Book Antiqua][size=2][color=#00bfff]Now, the lumberjack's son is a grown man himself, but Izza is still just a child. With her parent's permission, she has gone on a search to find out why she's so different from everyone else. (Her parents didn't want to tell her that she's an elf.) So far, Izza has found no answers, only more questions.[/color][/size][/font][/b]

[font=Book Antiqua][size=2][color=deepskyblue][b]Spells: Izza's doesn't have very many spells, but the few she does have are a bit childish. (Like putting both herself and Kokoa in a bubble, or making living copies of themselves that look like they were drawn by an eight-year old.) She's practicing so that she can come up with some useful combat spells. So far, she hasn't been very successful.[/b][/color][/size][/font]

(She named him after a warm, sweet drink that her mother made for her one cold winter.) She thinks he's a dog. But when people try to explain to her that he's no dog, they can't tell her what kind of animal he really is so they just give up.[/b][/color][/size][/font]

Decription: Her body is long and slender, skin a dull silver, hair thick and constantly moving even when there's no wind blowing. Her ears are pointed and able to swivel to pick up sounds from far away. She always wears the same tunic, the same foot coverings, and gauntlets. The splash of purple hair in the front is an inherited trait, one that indentifies her as a Cuidad gray skinned drow.

Equipment: Black tunic woven of spider silk and emblazoned with the symbol of her tribe. A crystal cut vial holding about 200 ccs of Spider's blood, a potent poison she only opens as a last resort. Under her tunic is light chain mail, not heavy enough to slow her down, but enough to protect from almost all physical attacks. Her weapon is her body and a collection of poisons worn next to her skin.

Spells: Blood Bind; A nasty trick used when either herself or her opponent are wounded. It causes all blood flowing to become living liquid manacles, very difficult to dispell.

Silver Kiss; Something that'll suck the life out of you through either a wound in the neck or the mouth. You can only escape this particular attack if you have strong character and a powerful will to survive. The weak minded are particularly succeptible to this.

Dirgecall; A weird songspell that shakes your body and renders you motionless, leaving you vulnerable to almost any attack. As long as Evrada continues to sing, you'll be rooted to the ground like a turnip.

Abilities: Besides a wide variety of songspells, aura affecting spells, and an aray of poisons, she can fly for short distances and glide as long as there's an updraft. Her eyes aren't the best, but her hearing compensates for the loss, making it impossible for anyone to sneak up on her. [/COLOR][/FONT]
