Art A newbie's first try

Look at my sig, that's my first Sig EVER that I made like 10 minutes ago, someone said it was that good but I want a broader opinion. Actually, it was my first project on my new Photoshop program.

[color=darkslategray]Hm, I really like the red. I think it is a very good try for a first signature. In fact, I think it's wonderful. However, I must critique.

[b]Font[/b]- I like the style, but, I think it should have been moved up a bit. The bottom of the sentence is slightly cut off. It's not a big deal, but I think it would look neater (as in neat, not cool) if the text were moved up just a tad. Perhaps slightly to the right, as well. Otherwise, nice text style.

[b]The center[/b]- The picture of the girl(?) is really grainy. Now, if this can't be helped, I understand. Then, I'd probably scoot it over a tad..maybe overlap the text? But that's different. I'm just here to tell you that the pic is grainy. If that is how you wanted it, cool. If it's something that can't be helped, cool beans.

[b]Border[/b]- Now, to make your banner pop out, I'd add a border. Something simple would do. Perhaps a 1-pixel or 2-pixel border..I'd suggest black. Just to give it some closure, and a sleek edge.
