I wanted to know what you thought of interracial.
I do intrracialy date on a regular basis. Partely because i grew up in a prominently white neighborhood(1 other black family beside mine). One day I would just be playing with my friends out ion the yard and these teenage girls and yelled thay i was hot and they wanted. To me it was nothing I just went ok and black to playing cause it was no big to me, but my black friend trey said "dont get involved with them white girls man, it aint right. " I asked him what do you meen and he went off on this rampage talking about it goes against the color line. I just went whatever not really listening. Any way is it seamed to be a big problem with him.
i dont see a problem with it is because I am part white and native american
When you look at it its pretty common
Carmen Electra married Dennis Robman, and Prince before she found her new hubby.
Brittany Spears was climbing on that black guy in the Toxic Video
SO do you think there is some thing wrong with it?

I don't really see a problem with it. You don't see much of it on TV-although I think one of the Soap Operas has an interacial couple and New Found Glory's I don't want to know video had an interacial couple as well.

I did it once and had a bad experiance, but it was the guy's fault ebcause he lied.

My brother won't date white girls, just black or mixed ones. Hey whatever floats, right?

I know there was a college down south...I think Brown...that wouldn't allow interacial couples to go to some dance. And there used to be a law against it, but it's been repealed.

Yeah, there will still be some really stupid people on both sides who need new hobbies who will ask either you or your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/ fiance/fiancee why you're not sticking with your own race, or why they aren't with their own race. Or maybe ask why are you trying to 'act' some race. But those people like a I said need to find new hobbies. And if you can't live with that you have no right to be in the relationship.

I say go for it and screw what other people think. Heck, who cares if the person is pink and white polkadots? As long as you two get along.

General acceptance has come over most people by now, and many interracial marriages wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. There are some older people who would probably disagree with it [especially white & black marriage], and even less younger people who would disagree with it. But essentially, nobody wants to seem racist, so most people keep their objections [if they have any] under their hat.

I am in an interracial relationship. I am Japanese and my husband is of German decent. I never even think about being an interracial couple. One of my friends mentioned it over dinner one night and John and I just looked at each other like, "Oh yeah, I guess we are!". Needless to say we never really think about it.

In our day and age I don't think it is as much of a taboo, but there are still people with issues. Some are vocal while others keep it on the downlow. As long as people think their race is superior there will be issues with interracial relationships.

This is so true. I think the generation we live in now, most younger people are acceptive of interracial marriages. But still, there are troubles. There will always be people who find it wierd, or bizzarre. I know my mom would look at my sister (who's white to just to state a fact) would bring home a black guy she was taken aback by it. Some people are just not used to seeing two people of different races together. I know I prefer guys who are not white, and have a boyfriend who is mexican. I know my mom hates the idea of it, I think why most people have a problem with it are because of stereotyping in the Media.

Its sad but thats how people look at you based on your race. If your black, you might get more attention from a cop, If your asian someone might portay you as shy, and some people think all mexicans are poor. (this doesn't mean this is true, cause its not, not trying to offend anyone here) I know that because I'm white people think I'm smart and rich for some reason, I'm like what? Im rich? smart? blah! WTH. TV stereotypes help start this, and that is why some people have a problem with interracial stereotyping. All in all, I think you just have to ignore it, like I do.

I am Native American, and most Natives nowadays find someone outside of their race to share their lives with.

Although I am part of one of the last "purebred" families, I always grew up knowing myself that I was not going to be with a Native man, it's just a thing. I don't really like the boys around here, a lot of them will become drunks. And I know that I've got a decent shot with others outside of my race, in fact, I expect that I will find someone possibly black, white, Japanese, you never know and as long as we get along, I could care less.

My Global History teacher told us that all of her nieces and nephews married Asian people, and she loves her newborn half-Korean grandchild. She loves it and can't get over it.

It's funny that you say that because where I'm from (Atlanta), when a (ghetto) black girl sees a black guy with a white girl, they get all crazy and start sayin stuff like "That's a shame, all the good nig*** get taken by these white ****", it's attitudes like that, that makes other black guys get in interacial relationships, when the crazy thing is that it's about personality, not skin color. Afterall, who wants to deal with nasty attitudes like that?

With me, it doesn't matter what color you are, if we click and got something good going, then I'm happy.

I've never had an issue with this. I dated a person for a long time who was hispanic, with quite dark (beautifully dark, yum) skin and dark curly hair. Gorgeous. ~_^

But yeah, race isn't even an issue or a question for me. Quite often the "exoticness" can be an attractive quality anyway, so I wouldn't even begin to view it as a problem or an obstacle. Frankly, if someone else thinks it's wrong, they can bite me. ~_^

I'm hispanic. I look hispanic too. Two of the three relationships I was in were interracial and it was never a problem on either side. People tend to think I'm exotic which is nice ^_^ I'm attracted to blue eyed blondes more than anything so it's kind of hard to not date out of my race, whatever the case heh.

My mom is adamantly against interacial marriages though. And it's not enough that they're hispanic, she really prefers that they were born in the same country or at least raised from a family that was born in the same country as mine was. She has this pre-concieved notion that a man outside your race won't respect you or your family. I've never come across a situation like this though and really, the worst boyfriend I ever had was the one hispanic guy I dated so yea.

In short, I don't care. I've never really based an entire relationship on looks or race nor do I plan to. I figure if he floats my boat it's all good or something. ::shrugs::
