Retribution
I'm not sure if this is possible -- I know little of the inner-workings of a message board. However, I wanted to suggest more user-customization more specifically font size, color, and type. Basically, there might be an option in the user cp where we can set our default font, size, and color so that all of our posts have it automatically unless specified otherwise. Again, I'm not sure if it's possible, but I certainly would like it. Thanks.
Semjaza
This was suggested way, way back. I remember the answer being more or less that it was probably possible, but it would require some sort of custom hack that wasn't yet out there and would take too long to come up with otherwise. If things have changed since then, I have no idea.
James
I'm hoping that this is something we can do for our next update. Apparently we have more capability for certain things now; hopefully this is one of them. In any case, it's one of the top items on the agenda. So if it's at all possible, you can bet we'll be doing it.
Lady Asphyxia
*squees James* Yay! I've been hanging out for that for nigh on a year and a half! Although, admittedly, the WYSIWYG editor really made things simpler. ^_^ So I think you all know my opinion of this idea, lol.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Well since the only code addition to my text I make is "Size=1" it'd be simply for convenience in my case, however it would be nice to be able to just type away without have to add the code at the end of the reply. It would however be a great time saver for those who use multiple codes in their normal posts and would be a neat little feature for the next update. Kitty
Being able to post without worrying about forgetting the codes? That would be awesome! I have two computers, but I can only be online on one at a time. So, right now, I'm using our iMac. But the stupid thing won't let me highlight my post and use the scroll down menus for size and color. Instead, I have to type the codes each time. It's a big pain in the butt... Customization would make it so much easier. xD

If you're using Mac IE I could understand... though I don't condone your choice, haha. This idea would be awesome, and if we're getting it in it'd save me heaps of work, lol. Highlighting and adding styles is a pain, especially when you adds as many as me. ^_^; Though, could I suggest you don't have it apply everywhere? In the arena it could just become annoying, frankly.
Desbreko
Though, could I suggest you don't have it apply everywhere? In the arena it could just become annoying, frankly.[/SIZE']
I got used to typing out color=indigo (and more recently, color=#4B0082, because hex color codes are so much cooler) pretty fast after I started doing it in every post. Now it seems strange to not put the color tags in when I post on other forums where I don't use specially colored text. But yes, if this gets put in, it would be nice if another little check box could be added to the "Miscellaneous Options" section beneath the text field on the reply page, for disabling your preset styles in that post. Just like you might want to disable your signature in a post.
jblessing
Just to update... I *should* be able to include this in our next batch of updates for OB 7.5. I still have to upgrade the forums to the latest version of vBulletin and (hope) they don't have any more releases soon. Most likely, you'll set your default Font Type and Font Color in the options page, and on every post, they'll be a checkmark for "[ x ] Override Style Settings" indicating whether or not to use the styles you have set in your options page. It will also most likely by dynamic, in that, if you change the settings in your options page.. it will force all your posts (that override style settings) to the new changes. Hopefully that didn't confuse anyone. You'll just have to wait and see :D
