Yeah, I feel that I worded that initial explanation to Mitch somewhat poorly or vaguely. It is indeed accurate to say that I didn't intend for the poem to have double-meaning. That's really the purpose of the last stanza--to specify concretely what the subject matter truly is. It leaves no question as to what we're talking about here. However, there [I]is[/I] an intentional double-meaning in the language as James wonderfully points out in this post.

So, that last post was great in that it proves that you can actually [B]talk[/B] about a poem like this seriously and critically.
