Art Avatar Craze

[size=1][color=slategray]Okay, I just decided to make a lot of avatars from pictures I have. Mostly Peach Girl and Card Captor Sakura. Those are the ones I made first. So! I would like C&C, but mind you, I use MS Paint, as that is all I can get, so the quality isn't likely to be high. I also use manga pictures.

First: the 'Flower' series. I was contemplating doing a 'Glass Wings' series, from the same picture. Tell me what you think, and I might.[/size][/color]

I like[/b] the 3rd and 4th ones the best. I like the way that you've place Sakura, most of all in the 4th version.

I don't like the top 2 however, they just don't seem to jump out at me the way the other two do, with more than just the flowers in the focus.[/color][/size]

[SIZE=1]I like the first and second the best.

[b]The first flower[/b] is very simple, and the colors go well together. It has a very calming effect. Not too busy, not to complex. It's clean and simple.

[b]Second flower[/b], while not as simple as the first, it still is very melodic with its colors, but there may be too much white. It's good, and I like it, but the white might need to be replaced with new colors.

[b]First Sakura[/b] was pretty good, I thought, but I think it was her hair that made me not like it. The brown feels so distant and out of place in this one... pretty awkward to me.

[b]Second Sakura[/b] was definetly at the bottom of my list. It's got too many things clashing... the flowers and Sakura, not to mention the colors (her hair) seem awkward again. Just too much to look at in such a small area.[/SIZE]

[size=1][color=slategray]That's actually funny, Retribution, because the last one was the one I had the hardest time getting to the right proportions. I like the first one a lot, because it's so simple, but the placement of the flower draws your eyes away from the center of incessant blue.

I understand how the colors clash now that you point it out. But on the last one, I sort of excused the colors because of the placement of Sakura and the flowers. I don't seem to see it as crammed together. And I think the reason I didn't see the color clash ws because green and brown go together, and that's mostly what you see in the 3rd avatar. Depending on which one you look at, her eyes are either blue or green, and they help blend the rest of the colors.

Sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring you, Zenju. Had to get that out of the way. I already said what I liked about the fourth one; I'm guessing you like it, also. I'm glad you like them. Now, on to the next set! (I was in a craze last night at midnight.)

That's the 'Strawberries' series. ^_^ I am actually now making more avatars. xD That's what I get for having a birthday and officially getting a whole day off.

I like the bright, eye-opening colors on these. Very simple, very pretty. I love your first flower one, because of the placing of the picture and that border is very nice, the black and yellow was a good combination.
The second flower one, I'm not drawn to as much. There isn't a certain bold color that sticks out at you, unlike on the top flower one, where there is the darker blue for the background. I also think you could have pulled off the yellow and black border again on this, it would nicely accompany the rest of it.
In the Sakura ones, I like the placement, but I think I like them equally and don't have much to say on them.

[B][U]Second Set:[/U][/B]

I absolutly [I]love[/I] these strawberry ones. Very rich colors, that's good if you want them to stand out more. I think I like the top one most, it's just something about the purple and red together.
I really don't think there is any improvements you could do on these, unless you wanted to play around with the border colors a bit. But, the placement: wonderful, the borders: exelent, colors: just peachy.
I pity a fool who thinks that beautiful avatars, cannot be simple avatars.

[size=1][color=slategray]Thank you!! I am very glad you like them, Lix. And it seems they are for the same reasons I like them. THe border is actually just a black and then white border. No yellow. ^_^ I made some banners, too...

I?m working on ?Glass Wings? right now. ^_^ What do you all think? I tend to favor smaller banners. I actually like the Tomoyo banner the best.[/size][/color]
