It was an odd feeling. Cold fire tingling every fibre of his body. A calm veil setted on his mind. He saw what had to be done. How to do it. When to do it. He looked down at the ring, pulsing white on his finger, and out at the fight, bloody and horrible. He looked at his cousin and sister.

Koji & Liari- "We are." Lai and Shin rushed the creature with their weapons drawn, meaning to end it then and there. Shin slashed at the creatures leg, a distraction, while Lai aimed a long graceful arc at it's neck, the kill. The creature jumped just as Shins blow landed on it's thigh. It bellowed, as Lai hit nothing but air, and landed a good distance away.

Koji- "Now! Go!" The three ran toward the creature. It was powerful against a small amount of foes, but not four. The girl that had been called Miya stood exactly where the thing had landed. She sunk her sword into its back, this time with malice instead of mockery. It howled and turned to slash at her. Koji jumped, was momentarily surprised by how high he had jumped, and kicked the creature in the head. He heard a crack. The creature, distracted, missed it's mark on the slash at Miya. The arm sailed over her head and she took its hand off at its wrist. Another howl. Koji landed on the ground and watched Liari do a quick ballet of kicks and punches to it's head. The thing tottered on the brink of un-balance. Kimiko jumped and threw her yo-yo from her hand. It swirled at the end of the string, blades of light dancing out of it and lacerating the monster... deeply.

Miya slashed again from her point on the ground. Koji jumped, hooked and arm around Kimikos decending body, and threw her back up into the air. She let loose with her yo-yo again, and Koji came down, planting both feet on the monsters head. He felt it's skin and muscle squish beneath his feet. It had worked. The creature began to fall, Kojis last bit of force toppled it. Koji lept off. Just beofre it hit the ground, Liari kicked it's head downwards from above, it landed with its neck at an odd angle, and with a sickening snap.

Koji- "Everyone! It's down! Attack now!!"

Beneath the mask, Katsuhito knew only calm.

Watching silently as the three Rings, Lai and the mysterious girl with the sword dealt out stinging blows to the creature, Kat heard Koji cry,

"Everyone! It's down! Attack now!!'

Drawing upon the chilling energy that spread throughout his veins, Katsuhito moved. Speed had always been his strength in average life -- and wearing the Mask, this aspect was no different. With the power of the Silver within him, Kat rushed forward at breakneck speed, time appearing to slow as he did. He could see the monster's flailing form growing larger in his vision as Kat bore down upon him. To the bystanders nearby, it appeared that Katsuhito had materialized from thin air a few steps shy of the creature's left flank. His eyes regarded the thing before him with disdain and ire.

"In the name of Silver, let your soul be banished forever into the depths of Hell. Go back from whence you came."

Kat saw the monster's flailing arm coming at him in his peripheral vision, and sidestepped neatly, allowing its claws to cleave the air harmlessly. Raising his booted right foot, Kat brought it crashing down upon the creature's neck with all the force he could muster. Several times he repeated the motion, blood staining his boot. Kat could only hope that this motion, or the actions of the others within the next few seconds, would end the battle once and for all.

The warriors clashed with the nightmares...

The swordsman cut through them with astonishing speed...The one with the mask somehow froze them in place...

One had silver armor wrapped around his arm...he punched a hole in on and it crumbled...another had a dragon emerging from his hands, with wings spread wide like a crossbow...and a third had a wolf on his arm, mouth opened wide...

...A lovely woman with a chain...
...And the Cross...
He held it horizontally, the long end jutting out from his wrist...it was gothic and twisted, but glittered silver in the moonlight...the ruby imbedded in the center flashed as he yelled something, and a bolt of energy shot past the nightmare.

"...Cross...!"

Another bolt, striking the beast in the shoulder. It stood still, screeching with pain. The dark haired man with the great silver cross held his weapon high and fired again, words muffled somehow...

"Nihil...Cross...fy!"

Another bolt created a gaping hole in the monster's chest. Toji strained his hears to hear the man's words, to know what he was yelling. He had to know how to fight, to save his friends. The man held the shining weapon aloft, and yelled once more. But before Toji could hear his words, something pulled him loose...

*****

Silver light flashed around Toji's vision, and he was again in the world of the waking. Pain wracked his body, slowly fading with the shining light. He felt the hand wrapped tightly around his own...Emi's.

"In the name of Silver, let your soul be banished forever into the depths of Hell. Go back from whence you came."

Toji jerked up, looking over. A masked man was kicking the nightmare savagely...blood spilled from its body...two sword-wielders stood nearby...and the cross glittered around his neck. They had won, it seemed...the thing was going to die.

God, if only it was that easy.

The monster reared up from the ground, batting the mask-wearer away like a rag doll. It's good eye rolled savagely, moving from each teen to the next. Thick ropes of reddish drool dangled from its wide mouth. It let out a bone-chilling howl before lunging at the guy with the sword, gripping his head in one massive hand and throwing him to the ground.

"No!" Toji roared.

Dropping Emi's hand, he nearly flew to his feet. With a quick jerk, he pulled the cross from his neck, weak chain snapping easily. The silver dangled from his hand as he held the heavy jewlery aloft. It was hot and shone like a star, but he didn't notice. He was already running towards the nightmare.

And it turned to meet him.

"You son of a bitch!" Toji snarled, swinging his hand out.

The thing's head snapped around far sooner than it should've. It spun as it fell to the grass, and that's when Toji noticed just how heavy his hand felt.

"Holy shit..." Naota gasped.

The cross wasn't in his hand...it was on it. It was the weapon the dark-haired man had been using in his dream. The Silver Cross in its true form...

"So..." came the slick, hissing voice. "You've got the weapons...but can you even use them!?

It lunged again, stabbing its claws foreward. Toji raised his arm to block, the cross blocking the monster's attack. Sparks flash at metal hit metal, and Toji shoved forward with a strength he didn't know he had. The thing staggered back, and he shoved the long end towards the creature. He felt a "trigger" on the handle he was gripping and pulled.

A flash, and the thing flew back, a gaping hole in its chest.

"How the fuck did you do that?" the swordsman yelled.

"I...I don't..."

"He got lucky..."

You've gotta be kidding me...

The thing rose, hole vanishing in clouds of greasy black smoke. It grabbed the nearest person, Toji thought his name was Seiryuu, and threw him at the Cross-wielder. Toji jumped to the side, and Seiryuu hit the ground with a sickening crack. Then the nightmare moved to its next target.

Yuki.

The young boy screamed as the monster advanced. It lifted him off the ground by the front of his uniform, and threw him to the ground. He cried out again as Toji heard another crack. Toji felt tears well up in his eyes, and when the thing lifted Yuki up again, he charged.

The beast snarled and swung his arm out, batting Toji to the side and sending Yuki flying. Toji's eyes flickered over, and he saw the boy lying motionless in the grass.

Next to an unconscious Emi.

NO!

As Toji stood, he felt rage flooding him in a torrent. All the emotional stops broke loose. Despair, pain, guilt, anger, and cold fear swirled around in his head like a storm. He staggered on his feet, glaring harshly at the thing while the others stood around them. They could do nothing...Toji could do nothing. They were all going to die.

No! I have to help! I have to save them...I have to help them!

The voice of the man rang out again. It was distant and muffled still, but he heard more.

"Nihilis...Cross...ify..."

What is he saying! I need to know...I need to save everyone!

The monster slowly began moving towards Toji. It could sense that it was all over...they had no fight left. It had one, and now all it needed to do was tear them apart.

I have to win! I have to save them!

"Nihilist Cross...Crucify!"

The voice sounded in his head, clear and deep like the ocean. He felt power serge into him, like electricity running through his veins. His eyes flashed cold fire, and he stared coldly at the approaching fiend.

"Salvation Cross!"

The thing's eye widened. Toji drew grim satisfaction from the horror that flickered in the merciless pit that gave it sight.

"Crucify!"

To all around Ginsato High School, it looked like a star exploded far off near the forest. Harsh silver light flashed brightly, shooting from Toji's cross like a comet. It passed through the nightmare's chest and vanished into the warm summer air, leaving only the crisp scent of ozone behind. The thing dropped to its knees, smoke curling from the hole.

As it fell to the grass, it slowly melted away, forming nothing more than a black pool of sludge. Toji fell, too, feeling exhaustion wash over him like a tsunami. Blackness swirled around him, but he did not dream of nightmares and warriors.

He dreamed of peace.

*****

The white-clad man stood atop Ginsato High School once more, smirking. The Brotherhood had surprised him. Untrained, unskilled, and still they defeated the Shitai Soldier. Without casualities, even...though from the sounds of things they did not know it yet.

His trenchoat billowed as he turned to face Miya. She was looking down at the concrete, and the man could feel the shame radiating from her.

"You fought my soldier, Miya..." he said, voice cool and emotionless.

"I...yes, Master," she sighed, resigning herself to her fate.

"All I can ask is...why, Miya?"

"That...thing wasn't worthy to kill them," she snarled. "That honor belongs to you."

"Hmm...very good, then...please resume your duties, but do not cross me again."

"Yes, master."

She vanished. The Dark Silver gave her great speed...and god only know's what else. The white-clad man smirked. The Dark Silver could do much now...so imagine what it could do once the Silver items belong to him.

It would be an interesting year...

*****

Gah...that was a long post. Well, so begins the true fight of the Brotherhood. The white-clad man has the power to summon various warriors to throw at us, the weakest being the Shitai soldiers. Yeah, that thing was the weakest he's got. Well, it's actually not that powerful. It's simply immune to anything but the Silver items.

Feel free to make up your own technique names. They simple need to include the item's name, and end with something like "Crucify." Feel free to go wild...

Pretty much everybody is in a hosptial-ready state it seems. Oh, and as the White Man said, Hitomi is NOT actually dead. Just really badly hurt. But I couldn't actually kill anybody off...yet.

Have fun being in agony.

Liari groaned, and opened her eyes, shutting them again against the glare of the white light in the hospital. She wondered why she was here ? had she gotten into another fight with Diace, and lost-

then it all flooded back to her.

Her eyes were now clamped shut against memories.

Toji blasting a hole in the monster?

A wolf head engulfing her hand, and a beam of silver light shooting, simultaneously with that of a dragon on Koji?s arm and a band on Kimiko?s? their OWN deadly beams shooting three more holes in the demon?

Emi, unconscious on the ground, Toji rushing to her?

Kat slowing down time, nearly decapitating the monster?

And then the whole world going black?

?Kimiko? Koji?? She whispered, knowing they were in the room with her. They didn?t answer; they didn?t need to. She smiled faintly as she fell back into sleep.

~*~

The Wolf on her finger grew larger by the moment, until a whole wolf head sat with its mouth open on her hand. Looking around, she saw Koji, a dragon on his own hand, wings spread wide, and a trigger in his hand. Kimiko on her other side, a band like a cannon engulfed her own hand. A flash of anger, tripled by the bond they shared, shot three identical beams at the raging monster.

?Siofra?Wolf?der??

~*~

Liari drifted into dreamless, though not thoughtless, sleep. She remembered thinking before loosing all control, Changeling Wolf Sinder?

~*~

Hope that was okay, Trev. ^_^ And Siofra means Changeling, essentially, just so you all know. >.>

Seiryuu stirred in his sleep, and his whole body racked with pain. For a moment he was frightened, unsure of why he was in pain, why there was a white light shining down on him. He struggled to sit up but lost strength and collpased into bed. He tried hard to collect his thoughts, and everything came to him, played in his mind.

He had been thrown into Toji. Luckily he had moved out of the way, but the creatue went after the others. But he wouldn't stand for it. Toji wasn't just about to let his friends be hurt.

The cross grew larger, became a weapon. A deadly weapon, and it was aimed at the creature.

"Salvation Cross! Crucify!" Toji's cry echoed throughout the grounds, the light engulfing them all.

Such power is the will of the cross...but what of the rest of us? Flashes of the rings true forms, the blades, and the masks appeared before him.

But...what of me?

He fell unconcious, his body stricken with fatigue.

++++

He was holding the pendant, and the dragon's head that held it's gem opened wide. It wrapped around his arm, twisting and mending to become a silver armlet and glove intertwined. A dragon's head protruded from just around his wrist, and a blade slid out and over his hand. In it's palm the gem was engraved with the symbol of Ouroboros on it.

"Amazing..." He looked once more at his weapon, an saw a man standing before him. He too weilded the silver pendant, and only one thing uttered from his lips before he disappeared.

"Oro..Pendant..erno...Amen."

Seiryuu's eyes opened quickly and he looked around the room once more. He felt strangely comfortable, so he smiled and closed his eyes again. Before drifting into sleep, he repeated what was now his defense.

"Ouroboros* Pendant Inferno...Amen..."
++++

OOC:
*Ouroboros is a symbol used in mythology. It would basically be the equivalent to a Yin-Yang Symbol. It's a serpent or dragon that's biting it's tale, and when it lets go...Good-bye life.

All around was a flashing light that engulfed the area in which the monster and everoyne else stood. The only words heard were from the shouting voice of the boy that sat in Kimiko?s new class. From the moment she laid eyes on him, she felt a strange connection, though she didn?t know what kind. Yet, now she knew the strong power that pulled them together, everyone together. It was the power of the Silver that created a bond between all and it was the Silver that saved them from death.

Feeling weak and weary from the fight, Kimiko decided to lean back and let the wall behind her support her. She watched as her cousin lay on the hospital bed, drifting off into sleep, whereas her brother was already asleep, mumbling to himself the words that could not be spoken in reality.

Sighing, Kimiko?s eyes felt heavy and she closed them slowly, letting the silence and the natural sounds take her away. Voices were heard, lights were flashing, and visions of the fight were seen once more. Kimiko struggled to wake up but her mind was momentarily keeping her from the world outside. Within that ?memory? was everything that had happened at the school and much more. She could see figures standing at a distance or near those who held the Silver items. She could hear the whispering and murmurings of incantations, if that is what they were, being said as their ascendants held onto their silver weapons.

?SALVATION CROSS!? were the words that escaped the pale boy?s lips who held the gothic cross. She believed his name to be Toji. ?CRUCIFY!?

At that final moment, all went black but something held onto her before she slipped away into darkness. She could feel someone grasping her and picking her up, taking her far from the bloodshed and the disaster that lay waste. She was wounded and felt powerless but forced herself to open her eyes, only to meet the eyes of a man who wore the same silver band around his neck just as she wore hers.

?San... bi... a! usti!? Kimiko strained to hear the words that the man spoke. It was distorted but she knew it was important for the silver band that she wore on her arm was slowly glowing; the dark gray was emerging into brightening silver. ?Sanc... bis... nia! Ustici...? Her eyes were now fully wide open and she could see that there were others standing around her as she was laying on the ground with the man overlooking her. The others all had their silver items and in the shadows were their ascendants. ?Sanctus orbis...nia! Usticia...? Kimiko slowly sat up, tilting her head slowly in confusion, wanting to know what the man was speaking. The figures were slowly drifting away as the man neared his words. She watched their faces that which glowed with pride and faith. She looked to the man who touched Kimiko?s hand, the one without the armor and said his final words before disappearing. ?Sanctus orbis per venia! Justicia!?

The coughing of Liari startled Kimiko and woke her up. She looked around her and realized that the silver band had been reduced to its normal size and was wrapped around her left ring finger. A smirk overtook her face as she fiddled with the silver band knowing that the spirits that lived within the items were watching over the new Brotherhood of Silver, guiding them through their new journey to rid the world of evil and reunite in it the good.

?Sanctus orbis per venia. Justicia.?

And all was pain...

----------

He stood atop a ridge of stone, overlooking a barren wasteland. A sickly red-brown light suffused the landscape, as clouds gathered overhead, obscuring the sky. Katsuhito gradually became aware of a presence near him, another person he could not see. The Silver Mask appeared in his hands...puzzled for a moment, Kat followed his instincts and placed the mask over his face once more. Looking through the mask's eyes, the light changed to a deep, blood-red. A figure materialized before him.

It appeared to be another man, taller than Katsuhito by a head or so and more sturdily built, also wearing what appeared to be a replica of the Silver Mask. From what Katsuhito could tell, they were different, however. The man's Mask possessed twin lines of a silvery-blue metal running down from beneath each of the Mask's eyes, which Katsuhito recognized as tearstains carved into it's surface. He heard the man's voice echo in his head.

Your path, the path of the Brotherhood, is fraught with blood.

A rain began. A rain of blood, staining the landscape crimson.

May you never have to bear the sorrow that I have. May your Mask never reveal the tears that your soul may shed.

Katsuhito didn't understand, but felt it would do no good to question the man. This matter was obviously beyond his comprehension, and would be revealed to him in due time. But how could he protect his comrades, and himself, without knowledge of how to activate his Silver's power?

Lachryma Deo Aeternum -- Crucis!

The man's voice echoed in his head as Kat's vision began to give out, the images before him growing blurry.

Lachryma Deo Aeternum -- Crucis

Kat would not forget those words.

----------

Coughing violently, Katsuhito returned to himself. He was lying in a white medical bed, with an IV in his arm -- the student felt his whole body afire with pain. Remembering Toji's cry, the Cross, the blast of light...the past ten minutes collided with his psyche like a brick. His head pounding violently, Katsuhito attempted to level himself up with one hand, finding a majority of his body swathed in bandages. A moment of panic overtook him as Kat realized that he no longer possessed the Silver Mask; quickly scanning the room, his eyes came to rest upon a familiar object on the counter next to him. Allowing himself a sigh of relief, Kat allowed himself to sink into the bed once more...

The others. What happened to the others?!

Whipping his legs off the side of the bed, Katsuhito attempted to stand. Tearing the IV from his arm despite the pain, he made his way towards the door of his small medical room. Pushing it open as carefully as he could (though still causing the door to slam loudly), Kat began hobbling towards the reception desk. A nurse approached him immediately, motioning for him to return and demanding that he needed his rest, but Kat pushed her aside and placed both hands on the counter for balance.

"Where are the others!? What happened to them?!" bellowed Katsuhito, in a voice that the whole hospital could probably hear.

The receptionist, a dark-haired woman in her mid-30s, shushed him. "Keep your voice down, there are other patients sleeping! Nurse, please take this man back to his room."

"No!" Katsuhito wrestled the nurse away again, pain evident throughout his body. Pushing it to the recesses of his mind, he pounded on the desk with one closed fist. "God dammit, there were others who came in with me! Where are they!? Toji, and Liari -- I must see them. NOW!!!"

OOC: I decided to leave it at that, since I don't know if Toji would be with us in the hospital, or somewhere else...

Anyways, Lachryma Deo Aeternum -- Crucis = Eternity of God's Tears -- Cross/Crucify. I'm going to identify Kat's artifact, the Mask, with 'Tears' since I can't find the latin word for 'Mask' :P

The blade in Lai's hands rung out musically, she held it tightly as it vibrated within her grasp. The sword continued to ring. Lai put her ear close to the vibrating weapon and heard that it was actually saying something. Suddenly her surroundings changed and there was someone standing before her. The figure had no face but in his hand was a blade identical to hers. He held it with the blade pointing upward, out toward her. Lai felt she knew what she was doing and did the same as he did.

"Candidus Lamina...." the voice said.

Lai watched as the blade glowed brightly with an unearthly energy.

"Candidus....Lamina...." Lai repeated.

Her own blade glowed like the figures, the head nodded and her surroundings changed.

~*~

Lai cried out as she awoke, she looked around and noticed she was in a bed and she could feel bandages wrapped around her ribs which she had broken when fighting the monster.

She realised the familiar weight of the blade was gone from her hands and looked around frantically. She saw her new blade sitting in a shining sheath, different from the one her dagger had previously occupied. She lifted it into her hands and wrapped her fingers around the cool hilt.

Lai remembered the others and sat up and pulled the IV out of her arm carefully, putting her thumb over the spot it had come from to try to stop the blood coming from it. She saw her clothes were folded on a chair and put them on quickly, constantly looking around for a nurse who be coming since she was reading a flatline. Finally she added her newest accessory, and strapped the sheath onto her back.

Lai snuck out quickly and ran toward reception where she could hear a commotion. She arrived and saw one of the other people that had fought the monster. Lai ran over to him to see what was going on.

OOC: I decided to use Latin since everyone else seems to be too. Candidus Lamina means Shining Blade. Made up really quickly since I haven't got much time.
