Squee for Peacemaker XD

If I remember correctly though, the anime is like a combination of Peacemaker Kurogane and Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker (which came first) I honestly don't like the anime as much as the manga for Peacemaker Kurogane T_T but it has made me want to hunt down the Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker manga ^^

Not sure if anyone posted a thread like this yet, but I couldn't find one with my low pateince so here's one now. :catgirl:

This series is very popular, but sadly, it doesn't get out to many anime/feudal era fans out there. The first series of the manga is called: 'Shinseni Imon Peace Maker' and it is very similar to the anime. The second series is the sequel to what happened after the first series, after the Shinsen Gumi had raided Ikeda Inn.

The main character of the whole story is a 15-year old boy named Tetsunosuke Ichimura who was more determined than anything to join the Shinsen Gumi to get revenge on his parents' deaths. In the whole series, the enemies of the Shinsen Gumi at the moment seemed to be Choshu.

The first series of the manga is practically a replica of the anime. And the second series is just a sequel.

In the anime, there is 24 episodes. The origanal creator is the great Nanae Chrono.

The first series of the manga has 6 volumes, and the second series is on-going in Japan. Though, sadly, the USA only transferred three volumes of the second series in english in the US, and nothing else. It sucks becuase the second series didn't even stop at volume three! :animeangr Oh well, what can ya do...

Anyway, enough of me talking, is there anymore PMK, SIP fans out there who are with meh?? :animesmil

I never read the first manga series. But when I bought the first peace maker and box it came with the first manga of the new one. And I got into it. I ended up buying the other 2. I love the anime, it's so good and the manga just takes off right after it. It's so well done. Even thought it's always kind of sad.

Yeah, I never read it either, though my friends gave me spoilers about it (They live in Asia). But yes, I completely agree with you, the anime is great. :D The art's nice too. And yes, it is VERY depressing, to me anyway. Especially when Ayu-nee got tortured and killed. *Sighs with pity* Such a shame on poor Susumu and the rest of em'...

Wait, the second series isn't over?

I heard the second series ends at volume 5, unless that Japanese guy at that book store lied to me to make a sale.

[edit] Oh, about the series, haha. I'm currently reading the Shinsengumi Imon series, though I'm only on volume 2 yet. So far, it's pretty good and at times pretty funny. The setting is what attracted me to the book in the first place, since I love learning about that period of Japan's history.

Well, a friend of mine in Asia who can get the second series at her local bookstore has all 5 volumes I think, but she also told me that Nanae went on vacation for a little while and is taking a break on the second series.

But that's just what I've heard, I can't say for sure.

I have read the first 3 volumes of PMK and I really like it. Sadly I don't know if there are going to be more volumes or not. Someone on the ASMB told me that there were going to be 5 volumes, but who knows? I hate the fct that ADV released PMK without first releasing the prequal. I didnt know it had one so I started reading it. I knew a bit about what was happening because I saw the first two volumes of the anime. {which i like a lot as well} I am trying to find scans of the first series on the net, but I was only able to find a little bit of it.

Right now I have a wonderful desktop of Hijikata.

ADV sucks at releasing the PMK mangas...
Man i wanna read the first series too.
I was like "WTF?" when i read 1-3 of the second one...(this was after i watched some of the anime)

As for the anime I own 1-6 of the dvds and is waiting for #7 to come out so
I can buy it.

PMK is awesome and teaches you alot about Japan's history.
