SunfallE
Well I was never banned from Barbie by my parents, but they learned real quick after giving me my first one that I didn't have any interest in them. Espically since my brothers and I thought it was the funniest thing to blow up model cars and dolls with fireworks. Then when I hit the age where my friends started liking dolls the first Star Wars movie came out. *1977 if I remember correctly* So we all wanted spaceships and toys and dolls from that movie instead of Barbie. hehehe, we never thought about looking like Barbie when we grew up. We were too busy wanting to travel in space and explore. Though admittly once I got old enough to realize that wasn't possible, it was a big dissapointment. Ironically now that I am older I do actually occasionally collect Barbie dolls. Primarly because they will put one out that I think is really pretty. I usually find a spot in my house to display it as I don't take them out of the box. And naturally I have several Barbie dolls from the Star Wars movies. They didn't have them when I was a kid so naturally I had to get them now to display. :D
