Hmmmmm........ Now that's a hard one hmmmm *thinking really hard* Okay here's the scoop I use to be #1 FAN for Sailor Moon (but she was such a klutz) so she's out.
Now is it TRIGUN or INUYASHA? Vash is really cool, with his sweet moves on his out-of-this-world-firestick. Then there's Inuyasha with his slashing claws and Tetsesaiga. I rule in favor of Inuyasha. Why? He's never let any of his human friends down, especially Kagome. He has beat all of his foes so far (except his older brother Suesshomaru and Naraku) but other than that he's a cool 1/2 dog demon hero. Plus how can you ignore his cute doggie ears *smiles*. I mean that got to count for something. Right?

Love: This one is tough, as I haven't really watched any romance animes. I like how Chi from Chobits looks, but that's about it... Yeah, I'm drawing a blank for characters I have any affection for. While I respect certain female characters, the appeal isn't sexual or the "I wanna get with you" kind.

Respect: The first person that comes to mind is from Edward Elric from FMA (probably because it was the last anime I saw, haha). In the beginning, I could already click with the guy because I too have a little brother. And while I thought he was cool and everything before, I didn't fully respect Ed until (episode 45? spoiler)
the father returns
, and also (episode 30? spoiler)
when he still fights Scar
. I'd elaborate more, but my explanation is more suited to the FMA thread.

I would have said Naruto, but that fight with
the bone dude
was really pathetic and didn't do Naruto or the series justice. I lost a lot of respect for Naruto after watching that fight.

Hate: This is too easy. Shinji from Evangelion: he's the biggest moron I've ever seen. I never knew the urge to beat the #### out of someone could be this potent before I saw this character in action (rather, inaction). He's an insult to the male gender, and is even too much of a sissy to be a girl.

Adore: Rakka from Haibane Renmei! A very admirable character, and one you can't help but smile when you see her on screen. I dub her with the title of "Adorable." ^^

That's all the feelings I can think of right now. I'll edit or post again if I (or anyone comes up with more).

Adore Tohru from Fruits Basket. She can be naive but she has such a good heart and does so much
emotionally
for the Soma's.

Love Subaru from X. He is dark and brooding and sensative. He holds such hurt inside him while at the same time
loving Seishiro who caused the hurt
Admire Spike from Cowboy Bebop. He has such a
painfulpast but doesn't burdenothers with it
. He is very smart, especially in fights and so calm and composed.

That's it for now :)

Like:
The entire Tenchi cast minus Sakuya, the entire Outlaw Star cast minus Fred Lou, Lina Inverse, Naga, Urumi Kanzaki, Yoshito Kikuchi, and too many others to name!

Love:
Um... N/A?

Respect:
*points to custom* Onizuka is one of the very few anime characters that I'd call a role model. Sure you'v got Kenshin, Vash, and all those other justice-seeking characters, but their antics wouldn't change people's views on life in real life. He often puts his own life and/or career on the line to help those that are in big trouble.

Whatever:
Dude, I'm Rob Van Dam!

Admire: Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. She understands the feelings of others and puts them before herself. That's such a hard thing to do. I would love to be that type of person but its more of something that you learn rather than something you can just be. So I admire her for her love for others.

Love: Hmm... Lesse... I'd have to say Sakurai Eichi from Full Moon wo Sagashite (manga). You don't really learn much about him but you know that he has a kind heart.
He protects Mitsuki even in death, and doesn't wish to part with her. Even at the end, when he sees her happy with Takuto, he smiles tearfully and lets her go because she's finally happy now.
He just seems like such a sweet guy; it would be nice to meet someone like him in real life. :P

Hate: Any Mary Sue type character. Like really Mary Sue-ish. Like Kagome from Inu-Yasha. Or Usagi from Sailor Moon. Maybe they're ditzy, or too nice, or too study-oriented, or whatever. I don't like how Kagome sides with Kouga more than Inu-Yasha when Inu-Yasha is clearly trying to do what's best for her. Or how she always makes him "sit" when him and Kouga are in a fight... It's just not fair, and its really annoying. (Difference between Tohru and these characters is that Tohru won't butt into something that isn't really her business fight-wise. Or she won't try to make someone do something that goes against what... they usually do. xD) So yea. There's my example of a Mary Sue type character. A really cliche girl.

Respect: Have to think about this one... I'd have to say Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. He's dealt with so much and is still working so hard. His determination to achieve his goal and his love for his brother is just so strong. Even though he's only 15, he's doing things that many adults (in that world) would hesitate to do. A genius boy who tries his hardest to do what's right (in his terms, at least)... deserves respect in my opinion.

I love Hao from shaman king, hes just so hott! also Ren from shaman king. They are my two faves. I respect Belldanady from oh my goddess because she has such a sweet and gentle heart.

Inuyasha is nice, but i cant see much of the episodes here, i have only seen them on the net, so it sucks a bit. :(

I love Sesshomaru from Inuyasha, Because he is strong, brave, and kind deep down inside. He also seems cold at times which makes him alot like me, so thats mostly why I love him.
And I hate, hate, hate, HATE KIKYO!!!!!! God, I can't stand her, she must die!! (again, for good)

Love: Er, that's a hard one. I guess Nana-chan from Elfen Lied would fall under this category.

Respect: I respect Maya Toomi from Soukyuu no Fafner. She's a sympathetic, compelling character who puts others first without making herself into some kind of pitiable martyr. I particularly admire how she works so hard to
bring Kazuki and Soushi together
when she herself has feelings for
Kazuki, and Soushi is the person standing in her way.
Her selflessness, strength and passion make her so much more than your typical token love interest. Plus, her
ice-cold demeanor during battle
is just awesome.

Hate: I really, utterly loathe Poe from Turn A Gundam. I think the last time I hated a character this much was when I was watching the first season of Sailor Moon, and I saw the episode in which Queen Beryl kills
Zoisite.
Anyway, Poe is very hot-headed, with an annoying tendency to shout about how she's going to get revenge. I could accept this if she were a tough & powerful character, but she's just pathetic; she bursts into tears whenever she doesn't get her way. That type of behavior simply isn't flattering in a woman who's obviously working overtime to prove that she's as competent as her male co-workers. :animeangr

Adore: Because I just finished the show, I'd have to say Hideaki Asaba from His & Her Circumstances. He definitely needs his own series. :animesmil

*Slaps high-five* We should start an I-hate-Kikyo pact and start a mob. Mobs rule. We could throw eggs at stuff. Yay! (On with my post now...)

I am helplessly in love with Shuichi Minamino from YuYuHakusho, aka Kurama. He is always calm, yet has an edgy side. I can't read the YuYu manga and see him without a little shiver running down my spine.

Though my baby Shuichi is the one I love most, he's not my most respected manga character currently is Ino (Naruto) for her loving and selfless act towards
Sakura Haruno. Ino saved her biggest rival from demise, then helped her fix her horrid hair.
Gotta love that Ino! (Even with her HORRIBLE outfit... I hate it!)

I adore many manga characters, actually. (One being Shuichi, but I'm not going to go into detail...) Well, Ai (Psychic Academy) would be both an adored and hated character. My reasons? Read on, my friend... Ai is sweet. He respects Orina and any other girl (He just seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, it seems... Making him appear... A tad perverted, at the very least.) The part I hat about Ai is that (And I don't know if this would really be spoiling anything since it's not that far along in the series, but what the hay?)
Ai seems to respect Orina and all, but since he's on the same WAVELENGTH as Ren, along with other things, it seems he's KIND OF cheating on Orina. Like the time they were both in the 'Love Hotel' and Ai just LEFT Orina there... Ren was in trouble and all, but he didn't exactly KNOW that... Though they PROBABLY shouldn't even be IN a 'Love Hotel' at thier age, still.
Maybe Ai is just 'In the wrong place at the wrong time' with Ren... Over and over and over again... And again...

I'll just go into the characters I hate now, since that list should be long enough to fill more than my fair share. Let's start with Chaos from Ragnarok, shall we? He bugs me. Just does, never knew why, I normally like people like him. But he just makes me gritt my teeth. Grrr. Kyo (From Alice 19th) is awful. Hot and cool as he may be, he just DOESN'T EVEN NOTICE ALICE!
Well, not for a while at least, but he STILL seems to be caught up on Mayura, so...
And d'you wanna know who ELSE bugs me? Tsukasa. Don't get me wrong, I love Tsukasa, I love him
/her
, but MAN does that COMPLAINING GET TO YA after awhile. 'I can't log out. Let's have some kinda pity party. Everyone hates me. I hate the world. Get away from me.' Cripes, yeah he's in a bad position, but seriously... My self in the same position, I'd just try to be optomistic and junk... What's whining gonna help anything? (Without fail, at least five Tsukasa lovers will flock to dissagree with me, stating the obvious and everything... Whatever...)

Well, I'm gone. Bye, peoples.

:catgirl: I love Faye. She is sly, smart, and looks beautiful. Her past is so amazing but I wish they didn't make her
that old.
She is one of the coolest characters other than ED and Ein. They are a super group and they are really funny.Cowboy Bebop kicks ***!! :D

hey, well, I'm new to the forums but not to anime, and well, this is how I feel...

Respect: I respect Vash the most. Hes not exactly the coolest anime character ever, but almost everything he does he does without having to kill anyone. Hes an expert gunman, yet barely anyone ever dies in the show (by Vash's bullet). Even though hes pretty comical, he definitely has his badass moments as well.

Love: Well, if I had to pick someone to love, you'd figure I'd pick a girl, since I'm a guy. But theres no anime girl characters that I really really like. So, my love goes to Kakashi :animeswea

Hate: Well, if there was ever an anime character that I hated, it would probably be Shippou from Inuyasha. I'm sure some of the girls will hate me because hes "cute" or whatever, but he really serves no purpose in the show, and has his own "theme" episodes that totally side-track the story so we can learn more about Shippou, which I really wasn't intent on doing

I diagree, Shippo helps out from time to time plus he helps teach Inuyasha responsiblity.

I understand what you mean, but with all the characters in inuyasha, I just don't think shippo is needed, kagome always sets him straight, he learns from songo, and somewhat from miroku, the good things anyway, I can't quite remember the name of kikyos younger sister (old women as inuyasha often calls her), but she does a great majority of inuyasha's "setting straight"

Shippo is needed sometimes in the series, like when he uses his fox fire to protect the others when they are hurt. And yeah most of Inuyasha's "setting straight" does come from Keade (Kikyo's younger sister).

*ATTENTION*
This tread (In my opinion, anyway... Thoguh you people probably don't care) is becoming quite spammy and not holding up for much great conversation... 'Cept the Shippou part, I personally think... That I shouldn't input my opinion on that, though, I don't wish to be stoned today.
Don't write with light colors, SakuraMinomino . They're too close to the backround color, so they strain your eyes when you try to read them. Try using purple or something if you want to use girly colors.
Heh... Sorry. It's just the purple was a LONG running joke between me and one of my friends, but whatever. I actually hate purple. I AM keeping it purple, by the way... A darker purple ^^ ANYWAY...
Well, why like an anime character when there are real people in the world out there who can really love you?

Who am I to say when I adore Kurama and Kuwabara?!

:catgirl:
I hear you loud and clear!!! I seem to have a thing for red-heads.

Something I'm gonna bring up though, even though it MAY be controversial, is Chi from Chobits. Well, I'd say she's a very respectable... Robot/Person/thing. She has had to go through so much. Even though she doesn't remember it, she still had to deal with alot
before her 'mother' and her 'father' re-formatted her and threw her away. It doesn't help that she has to hold the thoughts of both her and her 'dead sister' Freya, it must be hard. I don't think I'd handle it as well. Also having to deal with her feelings for Hideki, she's got alot on her plate!
I'l post more later, I've gotts go!

Off to change the color of my siggy!

Love: For this category I would have to say both Lucy and Nyu from Elfen Lied, though they're essentially the same person.
Split personalities aren't all that bad, Nyu is childish and very friendly whereas Lucy is a cold-blooded killer(but not without reason). The two sides have a commonality though, they both love Kouta...lucky him.
Respect: Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. Though stubborn and hot-tempered, Ed's love for his brother and his determination make him both likeable and respectable, at least to me. I like him too because we're both shorter older brothers... :animeangr

Dislike: Shinji from Evangelion. He was flawed...well maybe I dislike Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo! more...she's a real annoying to say the least...so I guess in this category Ryoko takes the crown.

Like: Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha just rocks. Sesshoumaru antagonizes his younger brother, I antagonize my little brother. He's powerful, elegant, extraordinary....awesome.

1.I'd idmire myself as Sesshomaru from Inuyasha he's a silent full demon swordman, he's not afraid to kill, has little to say, and does his own way of things in life, some people think of him as a goodguy, or a badguy either way I like him too good I love his full wolf demon form.

2.Two words, Kazuma Kuwabara of Yu Yu Hakusho is sweet type of hero evan human he has alot of power, he can kill demons with sweet sprite sword and jin-ga-tou by one look of Yukina he feel's really strong like a demon he's THE MAN!.

3. I really don't like Tsukasa from .Hack/Sign, it's not the reason he's really a girl in the real world, it's because she gets away from everybody she wants to be left alone, I know sometimes people want to be left alone but she is wierd.

I both admire respect and love Piccolo Majunior from Dbz. He is an over looked character in my oppinion, not only is he powerful but he is also highly intelligent. It's safe to say he is the single most intelligent Z-Senshi of them all. He always has a plan and doesn't just rush into battle morronically.

Also he has saved the world in more ways than just one. For one in truth He was the one who defeated Raditz and had he not trained Gohan it's a safe bet he wouldn't have been near the strength he was during the Cell Saga and Cell would have won. Also he is devoted even evil he dedicated himself to his goal whole heartedly he put everything he was into becoming stronger and even after he still dedicates himself in protecting earth no matter if the villain is more powerful.

I love both his skills as a fighter and his intelligence and I respect, admire, and deeply love Piccolo for his greatness.
