This allows anyone to just pick up any volume because the odds are that there is a quick character summary so you can know the basic plot and all the different twists and turns that will go on in each story line. I love Tenchi, my favorite characters are Washu, Ayeka and Ryoko.They are always fighting for poor Tenchi, I feel bad for him, one day he is a normal boy and the next he is in a house surrounded by women who do nothing but torment him.
