Xander Harris
Many of the people I know are bursting with excitement b/c of the NCAA tournaments. I got to thinking: What sports do people here like to watch? Do you/have you play/played sports? If so, which ones? If you don't play sports, do you have some other means of exercise? Myself, I don't really follow sports much, although I'll watch the olympics and the occasional bit of hockey. I went out for football for about 3 days in Junior High, before I got injured and quit. I was in basketball a whole season that same year... but I really, really sucked at it. Nowadays, if I want exercise, I take a walk, or if I am feeling especially energetic, go running. But me and organized sports have parted ways a long time ago... On an interesting side note, I have found that the kinds of people who go out for cross-country and wrestling are the kinds of people I am more apt to be friends with. It's astounding how many of my friends in life have been cross-country runners... How about you folks? James Bierly
Sui Generis
Wow I've played a lot of sports...pretty much almost anything.. I've played basketball, soccer, indoor soccer, football and I still play baseball. I've been playing baseball since first grade (thats 10 years now) and I still love it. Its the one constant in my life, in fact our season just started a bit ago, practice wise, and our first game is in exactly one week. I loved indoor soccer as well, but unfortunately I troe a ligement in my knee and had to give it up. Oh well... As for watching sports, I love baseball and football. I also enjoy watching soccer some its pretty interesting, but basketball I can't really get into. I don't really know why, but oh well.
Skye
Sports! Yayness! *coughcough* Well, I love sports. I don't tend to watch sports, but I love to play them. Whether basketball, tennis, dodgeball, or kickball, I love sports. But I like the ones the most where I can KICK the ball. :animesweat: I've played soccer professionally for two seasons, but then I had to stop. We didn't have the time anymore. But once I get back into pro soccer, I would like to say that I dislike playing in the spring. It rains out every single game and practice. I dislike sports like baseball, though... My eyes see where the ball is going to be... if it was under water. xD About an inch up from where it really is going to be. So i never hit the ball. All around, though, sports are fun.
Ozymandius Jones
I do not play any sports, although if there's a pickup-just-for-fun-not-expected-to-play-well soccor game, I'll jump in full of glee. My glee, not the other players. Ozy = klutz. I'd like to play hockey, although the klutz thing factors in again...Archery is really, really fun (weapons! hah!), but I only rarely get to do that. As for watching, I will only watch hockey. The speed and grace appeal to me (as do cute russian guys), and the clothing is baggy. Baggy = Good, as apposed to football players and their stupid spandex. Spandex = BAD. Watching football, to me anyway, is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Unless the Eagles are losing and my sister's in the room. Then it's fun to watch, 'cuz she throws fits...
Shinmaru
I used to follow sports a lot when I was in high school, but I'm just a casual fan of sports now. I'll watch the occasional basketball, baseball, or football game, but I'm not really clamoring to watch the TV every time the Lakers or the Dodgers or whoever else are playing lol. I play a lot of sports, but I'm average at just about all of them. I tried out for the basketball team for a few years in high school. I never made the team, though, because I'm not very good at it lol. After I got cut from the basketball team as a sophomore, a friend of mine convinced me to try out for the tennis team. I made the team, mostly because my friend was extremely helpful in teaching me how to play the game. I'm pretty good at tennis right now, and it's a hell of a lot of fun to play, especially with friends.
Juke Box Hero
I play basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, hockey, tennis, golf, and track. Lol. I only started being athletic when I was about 12 years old, but now I am teh super b3ast of running jumping and slam dunking (i wish...). In terms of watching sports, I am a fanatical Fan. Football- Oakland Raiders NCAA Basketball- Duke Bluedevils, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Penn Quakers, and Pacific Tigers NBA- I hate the NBA, but if I must watch it, GO Sacramento Kings. Soccer- Arsenal and the Metrostars. Of course Germany, S Korea, Japan, and the USA in the World Cup. I cry when my teams lose. A piece of my being is torn from me and trampled by rapid Spainiard Matadors without capes.... GO TEAM GO!! JUST WIN BABY!
DeadSeraphim
I half-heartedly follow AFL (one of three football codes in Australia), but that's about all, lol. Australia revolves around cricket, NRL and AFL, and of those three only AFL is interesting. Cricket is... yeah. Boring as hell. I've never understood the fascination, it's like baseball but lamer. o.O (Though baseball is pretty lame to begin with, lol). And NRL is filled with people who have necks thicker than their thighs. At least the AFL has decently proportioned people and is relatively fast. _^_ As for participation... eh. Generally no, lol. If it's just a kick around thing, that's fine, but I'm not about to join the local [insert sport] club. I hate the sports mentality Australia has enough, I don't want to suddenly be a part of it, heh. Besides which, when you start to play competitively what little fun there may have been in the game goes out the window, lol. In short: I'm not a sporty person. SaiyanPrincessX
I'm in Tae Kwon Do so thats my passion. I go everynight, five days a week. I also do other activities aswell within the same place. I usually have two to three classes a night during the week. Mondays and tuesdays I have my TKD then another class called boot camp. Wed. I have TKD, grappling, then kickboxing, Thurs. TKD, kickboxing, friday is grappling then TKD. So I try to stay active. I enjoy also playing basketball for fun, and I don't mean going by the rules. I like to dribble the ball around and shoot. I also like to play catch with the football, not Nerf balls, real footballs. I can throw pretty far so its good fun. I don't follow any sports, watching sports is so boring to me. Unless its martial arts, but I hardly ever see that on.
NinjaJedi007
i dont usually watch anything on tv. the only sport that ill watch on tv is tennis. maybe i might watch other stuff but thats one that i definitely know i can watch. i quickly change the channel and lose interest for any other sport. whenever the Olympics are on ill usually watch it. pretty much at all times im on my normal fitness routine. nothing special, just weight training and cardio stuff. but in high school i participated in football, track & field, intramural volleyball, and intramural badminton. on free time the only sport ill play now is tennis. i just wish i could play more. once it gets warmer hopefully thing'll change. Heaven's Cloud
I don?t really watch a ton of sports. I will catch the Redskins when they are televised and I tend to watch quite a bit of college basketball (of course I listen to all of my sisters basketball games, god bless internet radio) but that is about it. I tend to watch odd things on ESPN, like the World?s Strongest Man and college wrestling or swimming, but I am not really an avid fan. I also watch a ton of pro wrestling, but I don?t think that really counts? In high school I swam and played basketball and tennis. In college I played competitive beer pong. I also played rec-league basketball, although sometimes it clashed with the competitive beer pong. For exercise now I spend a good deal of time lifting weights. I don?t lift to grow into a Herculean hunk; instead I lift for the distraction that exercise gives me from my day to day life. I?d like to get into a basketball league or play a little more tennis, however, my days of competitive beer pong seem to be over.
Panda
I am not one to really watch a lot of sports on television either. I love going to a sporting event, but being at home watching it on the t.v. just doesn't have the same feeling. I guess for me sports really needs to have the full sporting even feel to it. I think it's the energy that I enjoy. ^_^ I do have to say that I use to be very much like SaiyanPrincessX. I was obsessed with my Tae Kwon Do classes and going to tournaments. Loved the competition. Next to that basketball was one of my favorites. I am short but I can shoot 3 pointers no problem! As an adult I really got into sport rock climbing. I do enjoy watching the X Games when they have the speed climbing competitions. I just wish I could climb like that! Unforutnately my health isn't too good anymore so I have to settle for just watching sports now. No more participating, just observing. Which is fine. It also means no more sports injuries for me! Woo Hoo!

Kawaii Seth
Sports are lots of fun! I've played soft ball, water polo, soccer, colorguard for marching band (yes, I consider that a sport), basketball, tennis, and many more too. I love sports and just about anything that keeps me in shape and nice and healthy. Sounds weird coming from a person such as myself, but I do love sports as much as my computer! And believe me, I do love my computer! =
