Kite walked out of the school and twards his truck as he saw Alison on her knees +with blood on the ground under her. The other two cheerleaders were arouind her askind if she was ok. "Damn girl. What happened to you?" She looked up with tears going down her face. "Where tha hell have you been? I could have used your help!"
Kite shrugs as he walkes over to his truck and opens the door. He pulls out a rag and tosses it at Alison."Here. Your makeup is running. I know you dont want that to happen now do you?" The other cheerleaders just looked at him as he put the keys in the ignitionand started up his truck, letting the engine roar to life."Oh yeah.Sherlie, Mike was lookin for you.I think hes a little mad." He watched as her face got red and she ran off twards the chool in a hurry. Kite couldnt help laugh a little. "Man she is pretty dumb. Wonder how long itll take her to realize she doesnt know a mike?"

Carla walked up to him while he started wipping the dirt off of his tarp from when his friends rutted up the field next to the school this morning."Why are you so cold all of a sudden?" Kite turned around twardes her and looked her straight in the eyes,"Well lets see. When i went out with Alison, she cheated on me two days later. I think i have a right to be. Now leave me the hell alone." HHe turned back around and sat in the drivers seat and turned on the radio.

He looked down at his phone."Well i got about ten more minutes till I told her. Guess I'll wait." He leaned back into the seat and put his hat over his eyes and listened to the Foo Fighters cd in his radio.

[Japan]

[COLOR=Navy]"There you go." The nurse said calmly. "Would you like me to give you a pass back to class, or would you like me to call your mother to pick you up."

"I'll go back to class, thanks."

She walked out of the nurse's office, as she started her MP3 player. She looked towards the ground to avoid anymore teasing by anyone passing by. Ian Van Dahl's 'Castle In The Sky' was blasting loudly through the headphones. She turned the corner and looked through the window to the parking lot. Many of the people that were in the nurse's office were out there. She looked at her torn bag, and looked outside again. She wrinkled the pass that the nurse had given her in her hand. Laura threw it into the garbage and ran outside, curious to see the what he others were up to.


By the time she was out there, it started to rain. The most of them drove off. Laura slumped her shoulders and walked back inside the school slowly and back to class.

In her Japanese class, the teacher scolded her for being late and without a pass, as she sat down in her seat.

A girl from behind poked her in the shoulder.

"What do you want, Krista?!?!" Laura whispered irritated.

"What did the loser do this time?" Krista snickered.

"Shut up!!!" Laura yelled.

"That's it, Laura." the teacher sighed as he wrote something on a yellow piece of paper. "Take this with you to the principal's office."

"But she..."

"No buts...now go!!!"

"Damn..." Laura scowled underneath her breath as she picked up her broken bag once again, took the pass and walked out. Krista was laughing the whole time.[/COLOR]

Kyoshiro sighed. He was too bored to sit in the tree, but class didn't sound too good, either.

So, here he was, in the office.

'You know the teachers don't appreciate being made fools of, like that.' the principal said.

'So?' Kyoshiro asked, 'It's not my fault he was wrong.'

'That may be, but you didn't have to point it out, the way you did.'

Kyoshiro laughed.

'Don't laugh,' the principal said, 'This is becoming a pattern, and it troubles me.'

'Does it, now?'

'Yes,' the principal replied, 'We never had a problem with you before. So, why start now?'

Kyoshiro sat, silent.

'Fine,' the principal said, 'Go, wait outside until I call you back.'

Kyoshiro stood and exited the room, he took a seat outside as a girl was entering. After a few moment's he looked up.

'So, what're you in for?'

[COLOR=Navy]"My Japanese teacher doesn't like me." Laura replied with a sigh. "This idiot that sat behind me was making fun of my black eye."

"Ow! That looks painful." Kyoshiro replied with concern.

"Yeah, the pain is killing me. Whenever I meet up with those stupid ass cheerleaders that gave me this black eye, they are going to get it! I swear! This whole school is out to get me. What are you doing here?"

Laura sat down in the chair next to him. She dropped her bag to the left of her chair.

"Damn girls. I just bought this bookbag yesterday too. I'm not made of money. Shit...."

Laura just noticed that her white hoodie was stained with blood from the beating.[/COLOR]

[color=black][size=1]Johnny felt even more sick, but he smiled at her. "You're welcome...." His friend was in the back, about ready to hurl.

"Come on, man, get out of the car if you're gunna do that." Johnny told him, not wanting to ruin his car's interior. Jack got out of the car, emptying his stomach of breakfast. Johnny groaned, but managed to keep it down. He watited for Cat to get out, then he followed her.

"Are you sure we should be here? She said not to..." Johnny asked her.

"Its like you said, i want to seee my sibling born."

"Ah..." Johnny walked in silence, holding his stomach slightly. It had felt better, but his head felt like someone just shoved it in an oven for an hour, then sowed it on with barbed wire.

"Lead the way, Catherine."[/size][/color]

[size=1]Catherine went in, and looked about. The hospital looked nice and neat. Cat saw a scurrying doctor, and went up. ?[b]Excuse me, sir, could you show me the room where Maia Doraldo is?[/b]?

The man looked curious, and so Cat babbled on, showing how nervous she was. ?[b]She?s my mother, and she?s supposed to be in delivery ? my name? Catherine Doraldo, her daughter.[/b]? The doctor made a noise of ? well, he led her down a hall, glancing back at her two comrades. Cat turned to them.

?[b]You guys can come if you want, but I wouldn?t suggest it.[/b]?

She flashed them a nervous smile, and then went over and hugged them each. When she hugged Johnny, she whispered, ?[b]Hey, thanks for letting me borrow the car. But I really would advise against coming ? you may lose your stomach this time.[/b]?

With that, she released him and darted after the doctor. They came to a room, and she was led in, where her mother was lying on the bed, sweating.

?[b]Miha?[/b]?

Cat nodded. ?[b]Si.[/b]? She sat down in a chair, and let her mother hold her hand as another spasm went through the woman on the hospital bed. ?[b]I am here, mama. Te amo.[/b]?[/size]

[size=1]Johnny smiled, then slumped down, and sat against the wall. He heard Catherine and her mother talking in spanish, so he stayed quiet. Jack left, walking to his nearby house about two blocks away. Johnny had no choice, so he stayed against the wall, his stomach quelling down a bit.

He waited and waited, looking at his watch. It seemed like an eternity. [i]I just met her...now I'm waiting for her outside her mother's hospital bed..[/i] Johnny told himself. He could just get up and leave, but where would his loyalty be in that? It wouldn't exist, he decided, so he stayed there, writing things in the dust that collected near the wall. He waited for any signs.[/size]

[size=1]The squall of a crying baby echoed down the hall as Cat opened the door, face flushed and elated. She had a huge grin plastered on her face, and she closed the door quietly behind her. She couldn?t stop smiling. Johnny had got to his feet, and she threw her arms around his neck, laughing. ?[b]It?s a girl! Her name is Anna-Marie![/b]?

Johnny seemed slightly surprised at the sudden hug, but Cat released him, and grabbed his hand. ?[b]C?mon! You have to come see her! Besides, I need to introduce you to my mother.[/b]?

Slowly she opened the door, and stepped in, to see her mother beaming down at the tiny bundle. Only a few minutes old, and the little girl already had a dark head of hair, and her eyes were still closed.

Maia looked up, and smiled at the pair. ?[b]Come here, meet Anna.[/b]?

Cat happily obliged, pulling Johnny in after her, and they went over. The baby had gone quiet, suckling happily, and Cat gently brushed a strand of hair away from the baby?s face. Then she turned to Johnny and her mother. ?[b]Mami, this is Johnny. From school. He helped me get here in time to see the baby born.[/b]?

Maia smiled at Johnny.[/size]

[size=1]Johnny smiled. "It was nothing, Mrs. Doraldo. I was released early from school, so I let her take my car to come see you. She insisted that I come along." Johnny looked at the child. It was so beautiful. He smiled, as this was the first time he saw a newborn child, as he had no siblings.

"She's beautiful. I should introduce myself, actually. I'm Johnny, from Catherine's school." Johnny smiled again. He wasn't used to being talked to by fellow students, much less their mothers. It made him smile for some reason.

"I can go back out in the hall if you two want to spend your time with Anna-Marie."

[size=1]Cat smiled. "[b]Actually, Mami, I can go get that icecream now, if you'd like.[/b]" Maia nodded, and then looked back down at Anna, who was now staring at Johnny wide-eyed. The little girl reached out to him, tiny, pink hands waving.

"[b]I think she likes you, Johnny.[/b]"

Maia was still smiling. "[b]I am glad she has made a friend - she was never very good at it.[/b]" Cat flushed with embaressment. "[b]Mother...[/b]" she mumbled, eyes locked on Anna. FInally she looked away from her little sister, and smiled.

"[b]We'll be back. Anything else you want?[/b]"

Maia gave Cat a small list, and told her to go ahead and do this weeks shopping before the two teens left. Cat and Johnny walked in blissful silence to the parking lot, and Cat searched for the car.

[size=1]Johnny nodded at the car, which was only a few feet away from where she was looking. She seemed distracted. "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah...I'm just happy." Johnny nodded, though he figured that wasn't it.

"Do you wanna drive, or should I?" Johnny asked.

"You can, since you seem to be feeling better." Johnny smiled, and opened the door for her, then got in his own side. Taking the keys from her, he started the car, and backed out of the hospital parking lot.

Johnny drove in silence, to the nearest K-Mart, and got out. "Got the list?"

"Yeah."[/size]

Cat absently replied, ?[b]Yeah.[/b]?

She didn?t see Johnny shoot her a confused look as she closed the door to the car. She walked through the empty parking lot, her thoughts elsewhere. The shopping only took a half an hour, and Cat was back outside at the car, loading things into the trunk.

?[b]Hey ? you okay?[/b]?

Cat looked up, startled. She blinked. ?[b]Y-yeah, why?[/b]?

Johnny crossed his arms. ?[b]I?m not kidding ? what?s wrong?[/b]?

Cat felt a blush creeping onto her face, and looked back down a little to quickly, unloading the cart. ?[b]I?m not kidding ? nothings wrong, Johnny.[/b]? She made a small noise of surprise when Johnny put a hand on her shoulder.

?[b]C?mon, Cat.[/b]? Cat caught her breath as she looked up into his eyes, struck by their intensity. They stayed that way for a few moments before Cat whispered, ?[b]You ? it?s you.[/b]? Johnny stepped back, a frown on his face. ?[b]What?[/b]?

Cat turned back to the car, staring down into the trunk. ?[b]Why can?t I breathe when you look at me? Why does my heart skip a beat when you smile?[/b]? She was still whispering.[/size]

[size=1]Johnny was taken aback. He was used to being alone, unrespected, and made fun of. Now one of the cutest girls in school [i]actually[/i] liked him, not some stupid prank. Or maybe it was?

"How...how do I know you're...not messing with me?" Johnny asked tenatively. "I've been all alone for my school life. Which, really, is my life. People've screwed with me." He looked at her, trying to figure her out.

"Why would you like me? No one else does, I figured when you hugged me it was for being polite...."[/size]

Kite sat up and looked at his clock and saw that it was about an hour after he said to meet, "Damn. Guess I fell asleep. Well I dont see her. Maybe she already left." Anyway I'm goin home." Kite reved the engine a little then put it in gear and headded twards his house. He waved to a few people he knew but never stopped until he pulled inot his driveway and walked into his house.
