Aiyanna
So How about them Illini?! They won by 14 tonight! Wheet woo! Onto the final two right? Right? Yay yay yay! Hey...anyone here go to U of I? Does anyone around here even live in the Prarie State?
Semjaza
I live in Chicago. One of the last things I care about is college basketball, honestly... but that's my own problem. Surprisingly, no one around here really seems to be making as big of a deal out of this as I figured there would be. At least not yet, anyway. Then again, people here never seem to care about anything until we win lol.
CB Shin
I bet they're going all the way this year... hopefully. I live in IL as well, and while I am not as crazy about NCAA as my jock friends are, I still cheer and watch their games...
Skye
I don't follow sports for the simple fact that I don't have cable. Other than that, I would probably sit there and watch for hours on end. I get captivated in tactics and strategy - but then, I get absorbed in the weather channel. I have a friend that lives in IL. She wants all of our friends to come up there to go to college. How good is the college up there?
CB Shin
Surprisingly, (not too many people know this) UC, University of Chicago in the southside of Chicago (The Ghetto) is the best College we have to offer. The other notable one is, of course, U of I, in Urbana Champaign. Both of these are in the First Tier ranking, (UC is around 18th place and U of I is in the 30's). Hope that helps... Note: If you're up to it, go check out Harvard :p

Out of about five, I think. So that's interesting. But thanks.
Semjaza
There's plenty of good colleges in Illinois in terms of academics. DePaul comes to mind, Northwestern, etc.
CB Shin
Oops... I forgot Northwestern, which is actually better than UC this year in the first tier... My bad :animeswea
Juke Box Hero
Northwestern's Kellog School of Business (or Wharton, haven't decided yet) should be my alma-mater in a few years, anyway back to college ball. I hate U of I and UNC, but I love the ACC so I have to root for UNC. Duke is my favorite team, followed by Gonzaga, Pacific, and Penn. Duke got eliminated by the blathering fuckwhits: Michigan State. GO ACC! UNC WILL CRUSH THE ILLINI AND THERE POT HEAD LOOKING GUARD MAN DEE BROWN
Zephyr
I live in northern IL, but the only team I ever follow is the Iowa Hawkeyes (mostly football, but sometimes basketball). All I know about the Illini this year is that someone (I think Ohio State) handed them their ***es a few weeks ago, bursting their no-losing streak, and their egos. Aiyanna
::cackles insanely:: Tonights the final game. Down to them and NC. GO Illini! and to answer your question...whoever it was... The colleges up here are good, and U of I particularly. They have a wide field of study and such stuff like that. I don't go to the college...but yeah. I've heard many good things about it. Maybe that's just from my sister.... Oh well. GO ILLINI! :: puts on Illini T-shirt::
Katana
All I know about the Illini this year is that someone (I think Ohio State) handed them their ***es a few weeks ago, bursting their no-losing streak, and their egos.
Ahaha...AHAHAHAAA!!! My friend, that was their ONLY loss in their ENTIRE season! And even then, it wasn't a dramatic one. So pretty much, one loss didn't kill their egos. Sure, it would kinda sting if you were on a huge winning streak and lost a game - but the stingingness goes away quickly once you get back up on that streak again. So really, it's not right to say that their egos were busted, seeing as how they're playing against North Carolina tonight in the FINAL of the NCAA. And in all truth, I'm not much of a college basketball fan, but I'm glad the Illini are out and kicking ***, proving that Illinois can actually do something. Speaking of schools...I plan to go to Northern in five years...I'm fairly surprised nobody mentioned that ('cause the school rocks and is harder to get in to than numerous other colleges *takes out mystical credits sheet*). XD Anyways...GO ILLINI!!!
Samsara
I am a huge Tar Heels fan, so I can't say I wasn't thrilled with the way the championship game went. However, I can't take anything away from the Illini, you guys had a great year and an awesome team!
