What anime movies did really enjoy? I know episodes are really nice but is ther a movie or movies you like, or love and can't stop watchin?.

I really got into these's 3

1.Princess Mononoke-I like how they really got the old Fern Gully look thing going but in fudal japan of a sprite forest, the chareters are sweet looking Ashitaka, San, Eboshi evan thought she was bad, the wolfs, and all the animals basiclly this a really nice movie to see the cover of it looks nice to.

2.Evangaleion-It's screwed up movie with nothing but death, anger, and all the memories in people heads there was all ways something wrong with shingi, and Ryoko but most of the good guys can't win soo it's good.

3.Nasica Valley of the wind-Very depp, and touching very heroic, and beyond a shock for me I mostly enjoyed this movie, and Pricess Mononoke the most of all.

My favorite of all time has to be Ninja Scroll, im really into the sword fighting and super powers which it had a whole lot of. I think it had a real good story too and a cool main character in Jubie. I like how violent it was too, might be wierd to others but i know im not the only one.

I like Perfect blue too, I didnt think a anime could really creep me out which it did.
But what got me watching anmie was Akira, it was amazing animation considering it was done in the 80's. Great story and a lot of gore.

I'd go with Cowboy Beebop the movie. I'm a fan of gunplay and jazz. The combo is perfect. That clothing style is also great. It fits me to a tee.

The fight scenes were incredible, and the story was VERY insane. The comedic scenes were great as well. They weren't filler material, but a break up in the movie. And those scenes were funny as hell.

That would have to be my favorite anime movie.

I'd say the same for the series as well.

As a huge Bebop fan, I'll have to butt in and say that I disliked the movie. It felt like I was watching "The Idiot's Guide to Cowboy Bebop". Newcommers to the show must have enjoyed it for getting a taste of the ultra-cool style of the series and hardcore fans like it just because it's Bebop, but for everyone in the middle it is a big dissapointment. While the art portrayed the show's coolness I felt that the plot was extremely substandard anime sci-fi material that the usually enigmatic cast didn't put their usual steam into. Only one heart-rendering fight scene (which got a bit too bloody and dragged out), no huge character development, nothing really funny, it was just too average. And that's sad because Cowboy Bebop TV is far from average.

My favourite movie is Ghost in the Shell.
It was the first anime I watched knowing it was anime so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Mainly though the story is solid and the characters are strong.
The drawing, animation and colouring really set the mood of the story.

Another that stands out for me is Perfect Blue.

I'd have to agree with this. Perfect Blue has an enormous hold over your emotions. Anxiety, suspense and disgust all build - after watching it I had to go find a stupid funny non brain taxing show to watch just to recover!

I'd like to add another one to the list...

AKIRA

This movie was WELL past it's time, and still holds strong, even today! I've read the manga and am not lost in the story (I was lost the first time, having NOT read the manga at first)

Even without the manga, the movie is well worth watching a couple of times.

i just checked out perfect blue recently. i would wholeheartedly have to agree that it was very creepy. it starts off making sence, but then you start questioning what is really happening about half way through. its a total mindblow, def not PG-13 lol.
i particularly liked how you just did not know anything FOR SURE until the very end. in most movies (even non anime) you usually know for sure who the bad guy is, if not from the beginning, you know for a diecent amount of time, in this one you waited untill the end when you were starting to squirm in your seat.
i would also have to say i liked the bebop movie, i am just a diehard fan of bebop though. its hard to resist spike. i espically liked some of the newer animation styles that appeared here and there. there is an espically nicely animated scene with faye in her spaceship
it is right when she is discovering its not the kid that stole the tanker truck, and right before the truck explodes *BLAM*. I really like the second Ranma 1/2 movie. Tons of fan service and lots of kewl action. I always wondered what that would be like... trapped on an island with only super hawt girls! I haven't seen that in a while. Guess I should get back to that sometime.

A movie that I really wanna see is Metropolis. I have this awesome trailer for it and I've watched it so many times. I hear lots of good things but I just cant find it anywhere.

Samurai X : Reflections would have to be my favorite. It is a beautiful conclusion to the Rurouni Kenshin, and a decent tear jerker, I might add, despite all of the awesome sword-fighting action that we've all grown to love from that wandering samurai

My favorite anime movies are:

Escaflowne The Movie because it is similar to the t.v. series, it has alot of fighting, sad, romatic, and the characters drawn are really cool, they arent drawn the same as the t.v. series.

X The Movie because the fighting scene are really cool,
and it is sad that everyone dies in the movie except the main character.
Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie and Cardcptor Sakura The Movie 2 because they both are a cute, all the different cards Sakura uses have cool powers, romatic, funny, and the characters cute outfits they wear for battle.

InuYasha Movies because there is alot of fighting, and the really cool monsters InuYasha has to fight.

Ah yes, thought that movie was rad...it did have a little wierd character design, it was different from most anime...but i still thought it was cool. it had a good story as well, it was kind of similar to I,robot (with the whole
robots rebelling thing[/spoiler) but it was still completely different in its own way. and the music...wow...crazy 20s music with the trumpets and all that cool stuff! i dont know why, but any other time i would hear that kind of music outside the movie i would think it to be completely lame, but in the movie it works for some reason...wierd...ANYWAYS, its a good film and i would recommend it.

as for other movies, the ones I have seen (ghost in the shell, akira, ninja scrool) i have liked, but not especially well. i like other anime a lot better. I REALLY liked that one fight scene in CB the movie when spike fought with vincent, it was animated beautifully and it was just awesome, thats all there is to say about that. As for X the movie, i really didnt like it. if i hadnt watched the anime beforehand, i would have had no idea what was going on. the story wasnt good, if you want that just go to the series. it sure looked cool, though.

Whew, that was WAAAY to long...aaand thats it!

Hmm...

Princess Mononoke: Iv loved this movie since... Well I cant remember the first time I watched it but when I first saw it I loved it. The whole huger than life animals were great.

Cowboy Bebop Movie: Faye is just great. Going on and on as Ed is trying to get her attention. Ed going around saying trick or treat... Some of the people who answer the door just made me laugh and I had to rewind. I just loved every moment of it.

Inuyasha Movie Number 2: Though I cannot remember the real name for it I loved this one more than others. I just loved Kaguya... Evil chicks are fun to make fun on while Inuyasha kicks their butt. I really liked the part where shippo leaps out and screams fox fire but stops in mid attack. He then scurries back behind miroku. Demon Inuyasha is cool... Though I did have to shake my head at the predictability of what happend.

Spirited Away: I love this movie. Sure I dont fully like the whole lone person in new world all confused and stuff story lines but this one was nice. I liked the animation... The water was cool. I liked the baby as a mouse too. (Or was it a rat?) The Dragon is my forvorite though. I love dragons more than anything else so of course I liked Kohaku (Haku/ Dragon)

There are a few movies that i love.

First there are the inuyasha movies, those are pretty good, they have their cute and funny moments.

Then there's the Ghost in the shell movies, i love the series so naturally i would love the movies.

Then theres X the movie, which i think is much better than the episodes

Then there is the Yu yu Hakusho movies, i love me anything Kurama. :)

Then there is the best movie in the entire Universe, The Cowboy Bebop movie. I think this is my all time favorite out of them all. I am a big Cowboy Bebop fan and to put it simply Spike is so cool. I'm up for anything that has guns and jazz!

I recently went to this Anime Film Festival in DC, and they were showing four movies back to back for free, which was really cool. I believe it was.. Tokyo Godfathers, Ghost in the Shell 2, A Tree of Palm, and Apple Seed. I own Tokyo Godfathers, so I didn't show up until the second one, and my mom had to leave early so I didn't get to see Apple Seed.

In any case, I just wanted to notify this message to anyone that I can:

If you have the chance to see A Tree of Palm, RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. QUICKLY.

This movie was likely one of the most boring anime movies I have ever seen. I almost fell asleep numerous times, and sitting in that chair for over two hours made my *** hurt. >_o Most of the content and story really made no sense at all, like they were just inserting random things for the Hell of it. It was just like, "why is this so trippy and what is the point?" Basically, the movie was a Japanese interpretation of Pinnochio, which does sounds intruiging at first, and there's a boy made out of different parts who wants to become a real boy. As his journey progresses, however, over and above the ability to understand what's going on, you really come to a point where they don't fully explain things and leave you to just assume that things are really strange in this story.

I'll probably post a more positive response later, but I just wanted to tell you guys about this title in particular.

I would have to say these below:

1. The Cowboy Bebop Movie - other than absolutely loving Elektra's character (her hair and red jacket are so awesome!! I want them), the storyline was completely Bebop style.

2. Spirited Away - one of the first animes movies or episodes I saw. Fell in love with it and own it. I watch it over and over again until I get sick of it. I love Haku.

3. Revolutionary Girl Utena - I love that movie. So heart-renching.

4. Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz - Apart from being able to drool over Heero once again, I thought this was a nice ending to the series.

5. DBZ Movie #9: Bojck Unbound - This one for totally the wrong reasons but no matter. I get to drool over Future Trunks in the best outfit he wears all series!! And I love when Gohan goes SSJ 2. Absolutely love the hair.
