Artist Rating Problem

[SIZE=1]A while back I deleted all of my fanart and left it like that for a good month or two. Last month, I believe it was, I submitted a new piece and saw that all my old votes had been saved. I know that's how the system works, and that's fine. I've just uploaded a new piece, and whereas my rating was previously at 80% from all my old votes and the picture from last month, it's now been cut in half to 40%.

I really don't see why this should have happened, is it a new part of the art rating system? I'm actually quite irked that my rating has been sliced in two when it took a good long time to get it up to 80%.

Could anyone tell me why this should have happened?
