Kairi Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 In the mountains of Scotland, looking out onto the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean against its rocky shores; is a Mansion named ??Heavenly Home.?? A single man lives within the mansion; for years, he has been choosing individuals from all over the world to participate in a game which he has prepared for them. He is very wealthy...and wishes to fulfill the desires of these poor souls. "Master..." bowed a dark cloaked figure, standing in the presence of the master himself, the leather chair turned away from him as a old mans breathing could be heard in the stillness. Only the light shining from the hallway with the opened door revieled the contents of the room. The old man said nothing...instead, he simply turned around in his chair to acknowledge his servant which was behind a very large desk scattered with pictures, papers and files of a group of thirteen individuals. The masters face was hidden among the shadows as he rested his head in his folded hands. "Has everyone answered..." he said with a deep, demonic tone to his voice... "Only eleven of the thirteen have responded to your letter my master...we are making preperations for those eleven as we speak; do you wish for me to proceed." The master began to breathe heavily again, obviously deep in thought. "Yes...you may proceed........now be gone, I must rest." "As you wish" as the dark cloaked servant bowed before his master in respect and shut the door behind him...the room becoming completely dark once again. All that could be heard...was the suttle laughter of what sounded like a young boy. OCC: Alright everyone...sorry that it took me a while to get this posted...was praying for 13...but that's ok. For your first posts, please tell me your initial reactions to the offer sent to you and begin to pack. A black limosine with large bodyguards will escorting you from your home all the way to the mansion where you all will convine together; where you will meet the master before entering the mansion. I will be opening an underground for any questions or comments. Thank you again for waiting...and get ready...this is going to be fun :D :p Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Citrus Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! The alarm clock woke Maria up and slapped the snooze button. Maria turned over and looked at her little laptop. It was shaped like a cows head and it opened automatically by Maria?s voice. ?Que..? Maria said the password and it opened up saying, ?MOO! Usted tiene correo!? ( You have mail) it had the cutest little face and voice. Maria?s sat up in her bed and placed the laptop onto of her lap and checked her e-mail. ?Que eso?? (What is this) Maria questioned and opened the e-mail. It read the following? Hello, I?m writing to you, my friend, to congratulate you on winning an all expense paid trip to the coast of Scotland to live in my mansion for as long as you wish. Beware, this is no ordinary mansion mind you. Within the walls of my home, everything you ever wished for will be granted to you. And I mean....everything. All the deepest, darkest desires of your heart will be yours. Whatever pleasure you seek for yourself...will be granted to you. If you desire love, sex, money, drugs, food...all of life?s commodities will be yours. If you wish to accept this honor, please...simply reply back with a smile yes or no; and immediate transportation plans will be set in place for you to arrive. Upon arriving, there are three rules which you must obey while in my home. 1) You must obey your cards... 2) You must stay in the light... 3) You must never go into the Angelic Wing... That is all..,everything will be explained when you arrive...any questions that you have will not be with held from you prior to entering the mansion. You may be asking yourself...??why would I bother coming to a place such as this??? I?ll tell you why...if you play my little game...if you last living in the house, you will earn half of my family fortune, which comes to around thirteen billion dollars. I?m not joking, I?ve come to realize the worthlessness of money...so I?ve decided to give most of it away to the ones who I find to be worthy. And I will wait as long as it takes to find the right ones. So; whomever can stay within the house for six months, will be declared the winner...and the thirteen billion will be split between those who are left. But hear me...once you enter the mansion, you may not leave the grounds of the estate. So there you have it; come to my mansion...where all your dreams come true...and have the opportunity to win thirteen billion dollars. No strings attached...and believe me...it will be worth your while. Oh, one more thing...do not tell anyone of this, for we want to make this as smooth and without interruptions from the outside world. Don?t worry...we?ll know if you tell...which will automatically revoke your chances of coming to my mansion. As clarity for your honesty and silence...I have taken the liberty of electronically sending ten thousand dollars to your personal back account, as a token of my friendship too you. That is all I will tell you...once you reply back to this email...you will have an escort waiting outside your house within two days to bring you to the mansion. I have chosen you because I feel you to be worthy of such a reward; for your dedication to society, your love and compassion, your leadership, your strength through turmoil, and last but not least...for just who you are. Catch ya later... Sincerely, The Master of Games... ? Holy? I mean wow. Did I ever enter this contest?? Maria was confused until she remembered that the e-mail stated that whoever this was entered 10,000 dollars into their bank accounts. Maria opened her banking and to her surprise there was 10,000 more dollars than before. Maria held her head in disbelief and started to pack some bags. Maria was so excited, not everyone could get this opportunity. After she took a shower she went back on to respond to the e-mail. ?Thank you so much for this!! I am definitely going to you mansion and play your game. Once again thank you. Sincerely, Maria F. Alba? Maria smiled and exited the small house and locked it, from her house she could see the beach and everyone hustling and bustling. There waiting was a limo with two tall buff men waiting beside it. Maria walked toward the limo and they helped her in and put her luggage in the trunk. They drove toward the San Juan airport as Maria listened to Daddy Yankee, and her long-time favorite Selena. She sung along to the lyrics Yo sé que tienes un nuevo amor Sin embargo te deseo lo mejor Si en mà no encontraste felicidad Tal vez alguien más te la dará (Coro) Como la flor (como la flor) Con tanto amor (con tanto amor) Me diste tú Se marchitó Me marcho hoy Yo sé perder Pero ay... Cómo me duele Ay... Cómo me duele Si vieras como duele perder tu amor Con tu adiós te llevas mi corazón No sé si peuda volver a amar Porque te di todo el amor que pude dar By Selena, R.I.P Forever Maria started to board the airplane and sat in a window seat, she lifted her head to the safety video and sighed. 10 minutes later the plane started to lift off and Maria looked out the window smiling. She put her head back on the pillow and fell asleep with her music on. The plane landed and everyone got up in the aisles and exited, Maria said good-bye to the pilot and head flight attendant as she started down the long hallway into the airport. After finding directions to the exit Maria made her way toward the door. There was another limo waiting for her there also. ?Weird she thought?? the limo took off for a couple of hours until they reached a mansion. Maria was the first one to arrive and decided to sit on the bench waiting for everyone else. She crossed her legs making her more attractive than what she already was. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sakura Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 OOC: Hope you don't mind this being my old post with a few small changes. Sakura had been awake for hours and was lounging on her bed. She yawned and sat up, opening the top drawer of her bedside table. She reached in and pulled out a thin and wide metal object. That was her mini computer that she'd gotten years ago. She flipped it open and started it up. When it finished loading Sakura accessed her email and checked her inbox, there were several emails, but one in particular caught her eye because she didn't know the address it came from. Opening it, she read;
  Hello, I?m writing to you, my friend, to congratulate you on winning an all expense paid trip to the coast of Scotland to live in my mansion for as long as you wish. Sakura remembered that the email had said that he'd sent $10,000 to their accounts and checked her account balance, indeed she had $10,000 extra than she'd had before, and she doubted that her mother had deposited that much through the morning, because she checked her balance before she went to bed, and in the afternoon. Sakura got out a large bag and started to pack her things so she'd be prepared for when the escort arrived. When she had finished, she slipped her goggles onto her head, her ring and necklace with pendant on and left her large house that she owned, although it looked extremely shabby on the outside compared to many of the other houses in Tokyo, it was grand on the inside, not wanting to flaunt her money like others by making her house beautiful outside. Sakura whistled happily and tucked her mini computer into her pocket, starting tomorrow, her life would change drastically, and she hoped in a good way, then she walked off toward a friend's house. When she arrived home several hours later, she decided to go to sleep and wait for the next day to arrive. The next morning when she woke, she got up and peered out the window, a black limousine with tinted windows was waiting. She grinned and slipped on her daily gear and clothes that she always wore and put her mini computer into her pocket. She tied her shoes and grabbed her luggage from near the front door. Sakura glanced at her house once more, she wouldn't be seeing her electronic equipment for quite some time. Opening her front door, she saw the driver who tipped his hat at her and took the heavy luggage from her hands. Sakura thanked him and turned on the alarm for her house, even though she doubted that she'd need it. They both went to the limousine where he'd already stashed the luggage and held the door open. She got in and he closed the door, before getting into the driver's side. They started to drive when he pushed a button on the CD player, and the voice of Japanese singer Utada Hikaru came out, it was her favourite artist, but how... "The Master knows she is your favourite singer and prepared this for you." he said, answering her unvoiced question. "Sou desu..." she mumbled, then became silent as 'Hikari' started playing, which was her favourite song. Sakura sighed and leaned her head back, closing her eyes as she listened to the music.
   Sakura listened to the CD as she lay back in the limousine. She stared out the window at the scenery as they approached the airport. The limousine bid her farewell after he helped her check in the luggage. Sakura said goodbye and took the ticket that the driver had given to her, boarding the plane. Her seat was next to the window, where she liked it, with no noisy kids around, perfect. After flying away from her town of Tokyo, she arrived in Scotland and there was another limousine driver waiting for her with a sign. Sakura made her way over and he took her the rest of the trip to the mansion, this time the CD Player had a Final Fantasy OST, her favourite series of games. When they pulled up to the mansion Sakura was in awe with it and couldn't believe it. When she exited, she saw another girl who had her legs crossed, sitting on a bench, trying to make herself look more attractive. Sakura just glanced at her and took a seat further away from her, taking out her mini computer to see if she could create some more programs. Retribution Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 OOC: I'm going to just post my journey of getting the mail until I get to the gates. I thought it would be a waste if I did that in two. And ditto to Sakura. I'm copying and pasting my first post from last time, with slight modifications. I'm also assuming I'm in this RPG ... since there were no sign-ups. Fun fun fun! IC: Sergio sat down at the computer, and opened up his e-mail. Several messages were there, all of which he over looked when he saw another, more interesting subject like. You've won the trip to my mansion! it said, and he knew it was a spam mail. But something kept him from deleting the letter, and he opened it. He read it quickly the first time, skeptical but still hopeful that it was real. I've taken the liberty of sending you $10,000 to your personal bank accounts. "Holy shit. This had better be real." he whispered to himself, biting his lips as he opened up another browser, checking his balance. Your current balance is: $110,432.00, Sergio. "YES!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. It was definetly ten thousand dollars more than the last time he had deposited money. The trip was real. He felt happiness, then urgency. He quickly replied. Short, precise. Just like the letter asked for. Yes. Expect me at your mansion. ~Sergio Alvarez "Gotta pack... gotta pack now." he said frantically as he realized that the mail said he would be getting picked up when he recieved the message. He glanced outside, seeing there was no escort yet. He ran upstairs, and threw in his favorite clothes, entertainment, and laptop in a backpack and briefcase, and clambored downstairs. He checked his kitchen clock, as if it would tell him if the escort were there yet. Smiling with excitement, he walked out the door, locking it behind him He jogged back to the door, and stepped outside. To his surprise, the escort was there, inside the limo waiting for him. Sergio got in back, dropping his backs in the back as he gave a low whistle. "Dios mio, senor, este coche es hermoso! Hm?" "Si, claro, and just so you know, nostros llegaramos al aeropuerto en una hora. Claro?" "Si, si... just drive." He chaueffer stepped on the gas, as he opened up the book for the ride, Miguel de Cervantes. When he looked up from the book, the driver had opened up the door for him, telling him to get out and hurry to catch his plane. Sergio thanked the man, and left for the airport. He caught the plane, easily, and stopped flight attendant. "When will we get to ... Scotland?" "Only an hour and a half. It's a short flight." She walked off, going to give someone a Pepsi for the trip. He dozed off, in an anxious sleep, waiting for when he would arrive at the mansion. He wanted to meet the other candidates, and get settled into such a rich house. He loved luxury, and this would be his chance to soak it up. The plane touched down, and when he got off, another escort was waiting for him. They wasted to time at all, only driving to the secluded spot in the shortest amount of time possible. Obviously they were told to be swift, and had forgotten their manners. Sergio sighed, contenting himself on the fact that he would soon be within sight of the magnificent manor. Looking outside the window, he saw the Atlantic sea, wondering what it looked like on the other side. America was such a talked about place in Spain, but he had only seen photos of the Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge, or the White House. It was supposed to be a well of nation, but he wondered how they behaved, and spoke. He felt like a dry sponge, waiting to be drenched in a river of new ideas, culture, and people. But he was shaken from his thoughts when the car came to a halt. The door opened once again, and he stared at the cold drivers. He stepped out, and got to the gates. Dropped his bags to his side, and grinned fully at such a large and luxurious manor. He desperately wanted to get inside, to take a bath in a hot tub the size of his room, to read in a library with more books than he had ever seen at once, and to eat in a perfectly furinshed dining hall. He frowned with discontent when he realized that he was still on the other side of the gate. "Ahh well. I'll be on the other side soon." He dragged his bags to the gate, which he saw wasn't vacant. Two women were there, both sitting. One looked him dead in the eyes, the other enraptured in her palm-pilot. He sat in between them, and turned to talk to the attentive one. He didn't want to be a bother. "Hello," she said first. She had an accent. She spoke spanish. "Hola." She smiled as well, "Me llamo Sergio Alvarez. Y tu?" He waited for her to reply, happy that someone spoke his native language. However, she didn't sound as if she were from Madrid, like he was. More like... Citrus Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 OOC: Actually Retribution there was a sign-up. Lol Sign-Ups ?Yo me llama Maria Alba. Nice to meet you? Maria smiled as she swung her legs back and forth. She was instantly attracted to him, but he spoke as if he were from the mainland of Spain. Maria had always wanted to go there to explore her heritage to a better root. Maria noticed there was an Asian girl sitting far away from the two. Sergio was obviously interested in Maria more than the other girl; he took a seat next to Maria and started a conversation. ?So where are you from?? he asked curiously and Maria focused her attention away from the girl and on him. ?Guess?? she said with a smirk on her face all the more making her more mysterious. ?Dominicana?? Maria chuckled and shook her head. Sergio thought for a moment and Maria awaited his answer ?Puerto Ricana? Maria nodded and he smiled. ?And you are from Spain, I can tell by your accent.? The Asian girl from far away looked up quickly from her mini computer and then quickly looked back down. ? I never knew men from Spain could be so handsome? Maria smiled and returned her gaze toward the mansion, which looked very ornate even from a mile away. ?I wonder what this game is going to be like?? Maria was very interested in what they would be doing in the mansion in their time being. ?Mmm, I am very curious also?? Sergio replied looking at the mansion also. Maria went into one of her bags and retrieved a radio player and popped in her Selena CD. Her index finger pushed in the play button and track 1 started right away. Maria, as mentioned before, is a very carefree person. She got up to the Latin music and started dancing to the Latin music. Sergio leaned back and said softly ?What a time I?ll have here?? Sakura looked up at her and how she brought life to the scary waiting time period. A small smile danced across her face. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ezekiel Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 Imogen sat in front of her computer, sleep still eminent in her grey eyes. She yawned and brought the back of her hand to her mouth as her computer switched on. The log in screen opened and she typed in her username and password, shaking her head in a futile attempt to banish sleep from her mind. She hit the enter button and her desktop showed, the e-mail automatically starting itself up. One e-mail caught her attention, but she didn?t recognise the e-mail address. Sounds interesting.' Against the better judgment that would have usually taken over, Imogen decided not to delete the e-mail and instead clicked Reply, by the time she had finished typing and sent it did she realise how silly it was. Dear Sir, Thank you for your e-mail; I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I guess if this is for real and not some silly prank, a little reply and a vacation can't hurt. Sincerely, Miss I Nesbitt Imogen rubbed her eyes and went about checking up on various other websites, the e-mail forgotten and pushed to he back of her mind. **** A black hold all was propped up next to the front door, Imogen had remembered late last night what she had agreed to do that morning and thought it best to be prepared. As she woke up and got into the shower, she wondered about what could happen to her if this was indeed something official. She stepped out and towelled her hair dry, slipping on some jeans and a sweatshirt. She didn't have to go far to get to Scotland, she wasn't even sure if she'd been to get a plane. No matter, she though, probably was just a silly joke mail. It was only when the doorbell rang that she realised how wrong she was. Imogen opened the door to see a finely dressed man, behind him on the narrow London street was a black Aston Martin. She stared and wondered why on Earth she'd need to be taken in such a fast car. The driver obviously noticed her stunned expression and smiled politely, "Sir has asked that you get to his estate as soon as possible, he knows how you favour this car and thought it best that you were driven there in style." Imogen nearly choked as the man stepped inside and took her bag, "My name is Stan, ma'am, it's a pleasure." he tipped his hat and walked to the car, pushing the bag into the boot. "If you would..." Stan opened the door and Imogen stepped in, her hands starting to shake. She couldn't believe that this was real, maybe she was still dreaming. The absolute roar of the engine assured her otherwise. Yeah, I've carbon-copied my first post, too. Guest Sean Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 "I need that sorta money, plus it could kinda be fun I suppose, meeting new people, and it's only a short journey from here if it's in Scotland methinks" Sean said to himself, sitting at his computer desk in his room. Sean looked around the room, full of different pictures of his favourite bands, he laughed thinking to himself. I really don't act my age... He sat up and signed onto AIM. "Thanks very much" Sean nodded to the driver, Sean sat in the back and put on his MP3 Player only to see a full CD Player with surround sound sitting in front of him. Blayze Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 The alarm clock sounded like a wailing siren, piercing through James' room and into his brain. He looked up. 7.30. He groaned. It was too early for this. He rolled over and gave the top of the clock a good hard whack. He got up, rather too quickly, and soon regretted it. He was a little bit hungover from the previous night. He wandered around his room blindly, searching desperately for the Alka-Seltzers. He found some underneath a pile of clothes, and dropped a couple into a glass of water. They fizzed up, and he drained the entire glass. His headache dissipated slightly. He threw some clothes on, probably the suit he had been wearing last night, and from the pocket dropped a pair of ladies' delicates. He picked them up from the floor and snorted mirthfully. Must have been a good night then. As he went downstairs, he grabbed a piece of toast for his breakfast, from the large tray of food prepared by Edgar, his manservant, and went into his study. He turned his computer on, and opened his e-mail account. There was one new e-mail. It said, rather ominously, that it had been sent to him by "The Master Of Games." Curious, he opened the message, and read through it. He checked his online bank account. There was a slight change, which could have been caused by the Master's apparent cash deposit, or it could have just been interest on his vast fortune. He picked up the phone, and dialled. It rang three times before someone answered it. "Hello," the voice on the other end said, "Metropolitan Bank Of London, how may I help you?" "Get me the manager," said James coldly. "May I ask who's speaking, please?" "No may bloody well not ask who's speaking. Now get me the manager!" he shouted down the phone. There was a whimpering noise, and then a change of connection. "Hello, this is the manager speaking, who is this?" said a harsh voice on the other end. "Ah, Frederick, it's James Gregson. Can you tell me where the last $10,000 wired into my account came from?" "Certainly, sir, it'll just take a moment." There was some shuffling, and a tapping of keyboard, and then the manager came back on the phone. "The answer is I'm afraid I don't know, sir. It came from a protected fund, untraceable." "But it definitely wasn't just interest?" "Oh, definitely not, sir." "Good. That's all I wanted to know." He hung up, and looked back to the e-mail. "The Master of Games, eh? Well, Master, you've whet my appetite," he said to himself, typing out a reply. To my dearest Master Of Games, I am intrigued by your offer, and I will accept a place in this mansion of yours. James Gregson. ---------- After packing all his required belongings into a suitcase, James waited outside the front door of his mansion. Edgar stood next to him. "Edgar, hold all my calls for a couple of months. Tell them I've gone on vacation." "Very good, sir." His manservant turned and went back into the mansion. Very soon, a large black limousine pulled up just outside the house, and two rather large, muscular bodyguards got out. They were dressed in black designer suits with wraparound black sunglasses and bald heads. They looked capable of doing some serious damage. One of them took his suitcase, and the other held the door open for him. He got inside, and nodded. The seats were finest black leather, and the interior was all black and chrome, the in thing at the moment. There were magnums of champagne and delicate champagne flutes in the fridge, and all the finest food James could imagine. But he was used to the good life. He took himself a champagne flute and poured himself a glass. Being alone in the back of the car, he toasted himself. "Here's to my new adventure!" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Orcus Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 "Damn it!" Kaine threw his pencil down and ruffle his golden hair with his hand. He then took his head in both hands and sighed. "I can't think of a damn thing to write." He looked towards his computer. Might as well chach my email. Nothing better to do. He turned on the computer and and accessed the internet. His home page was his email adrress, he really didn't do much else on the computer. He browsed over the long list of junk mail, sighing once more. "I don't know why I keep this. Nothing but junk---" A message suddenly caught his eye. "Eh? Who's this from?" He opened it up and read the message. He laughed. Money, eh? I couldn't care less about that, but this does sound interesting... He replied to the message. Master of Games. You're offer is to tantalizing to pass up, so I willl surely be present at your mansion. I will be leaving today, so expect me shortly. Later, Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley. He sent the message, then began packing. He gathered all of his belonging s, the took a quich shower. He got out, threw on a long sleeved white shirt, and pair of baggy black pants, grabbed his shades, then grabbed his CD player and the grabbed his cell phone. He called to his personal pilot and told him to be prepared, for he was taking a trip. He was quite a succeful writer, and often used money from the account the Maxwells had given to him. He brought all of his bags outsied and was amazed to find a limo waiting for him. After he was about to pack his bags in and get in himself, when a thug came up from behind grabbed his arm. Kaine looked over his shoulder. "Master Kaine. Your parents request your presence." Shit! He thought o himself. They know where I am. He swung around and drove his fist into the man's chest. The man collapsed and Kaine went into the limo. The plane ride was short, and he was at the mansion at no time. He saw two people talking and the one person sitting alone. He took a moment to look at the two people taling and took note of the girl. Pretty attractive... He shrugged and walked over to the woman sitting alone and decided to introduce himself. As she was pulling off her headphones and looking at him, he took a once over of her. Pretty attractive also...Where am I? I've gotta be asleep. "Yo. How are you doing? My name's Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley. What's yours?" OOC: Hope you don't mind, Sakura. ^__^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kamuro Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 "C'mon you dumbasses we have to get this plane finished by Thursday or we'll lose one of our best customers!" shouted Tucker as people rushed back and forth carrying parts. "We don't have all day!" As Tucker shouted orders at his employees his secretary walked up to him and timidly spoke "Umm, sir, you've recieved a rather interesting e-mail." Tucker turned "What? I can't be bothered with this now, we're on a deadline." The secretary trembled "I-I know sir, but its rather important." Tucker gave a loud sigh "Fine fine, I'll go check it." After reading the e-mail he gave a loud laugh "Hah, as if someone was actually stupid enough to give away money, Tina why did you want me to read this? Its a complete waste of time." The secretary spoke "I know sir I didn't believe it at first but look here." She opened his bank account and point to the recent $10,000 dollar deposit. "Holy shit, its $10,000" screamed Tucker. "Umm, yes sir" mumbled Tina. Tucker pondered the situation for a bit and then replied to the e-mail. To Master Of Games, I'd be glad to accompany you at your mansion, I'll be there. Tucker Owens Tucker ran out to the shop. "I'm outta this crap hole, finally, I'm going somewhere, Tina your in charge while I'm gone." He went home and packed nothing but clothes, a model plane set, cigarettes, his lighter, and his lucky bolt taken off a plane engine. No sooner had he walked out of his house did a black limousine pulled up and a distinguished man stepped out. "Mr.Owens I will be escorting you to the airport where you will be transported to The Game Master's home." Tucker smiled "Nice" he hopped in the limo and was soon aboard the plane. He sat in his seat looking out the window. A flight attendant walked by and he stopped her "Hey, do you know what year this baby is? Its a smooth flight, one of the best I've been on, tell me about it." The flight attendant stared back at him "Umm, I'm not quite sure sir." She scurried away. "Hmph" Tucker let out a sigh and began piecing together his plane set. When he finally arrived he was escorted by limousine to a huge mansion. He stepped out and let a cigarette. "Hmm, nice digs." He saw some other people sitting outside waiting to be let into the mansion. He walked up and introduced himself "The name's Tucker Owens, expert pilot and plane building extroadinare." Everyone just stared at him. "Yeah well, your not all that special either..." Tucker mumbled as he took a seat on the ground. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Retribution Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Sergio nodded amiably at the newcomers, not really worrying about what they said to him. Some thought they were important, others came humbly, and he liked that. However, most of his attention was still held by Maria. He didn't really have much to talk to her about, though. The silence was there, but not a hanging, awkward one. It was rather comfortable, at least when she just swung her legs back and forth. He inwardly sighed, slightly nervous about all the new people, and if he would get too far behind in his studies. "Well, thanks for the chat. Hope you enjoy the mansion, whatever it may hold." "Thank you, and thanks." His mind still ruminated over the fact that she said that he was handsome, but he didn't dwell to heavily on it. Reading hidden meanings was tricky business, and if done incorrectly, disastrous. He kept his distance, and instead of striking up new conversation with someone else, he opened up his book "Miguel de Cervantes," and started reading once more. It was quiet, but not peaceful. Too many people were talking in the background. Solitude would be welcome, but meeting new people would be fun as well. He hung on the decision, but kept reading his book. He couldn't make up his mind. He'd act when the opportunity presented itself. Patience. It payed off, he remembered. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ozymandius Jones Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 It was ten a.m. in Moscow...Yelena Korolev was between classes, hiding (as typical) in the library. As usual, the first thing she did was check her mail. Not that anyone she wanted to hear from ever wrote to her... "vwi emyet posta!" "Ack!" The cheerful voice rang out loudly in the silence of the library. Half a dozen heads turned to stare at her. Lena could feel her face flushing as she slumped in her chair, trying to go unnoticed. The mail program had apparently been based on AOL or some-such provider...and somebody had left the volume far too high. She was still pink, she could tell. She glared at the innocent computer. "Mail, then?" She clicked to her inbox...probably some silly, pointless forward. The subject line caught her eye...Hello, my friend... Who would write to me with that as a subject?! Curious, she clicked the message. Her measely small savings account wasn't so measely anymore...it was all she could do not to yell, not to run out of the school right then and there...but if this was all some stress-induced dream, she'd regret doing that...she quickly began to compose a response in her head; preparing it to be typed the instant she was done that afternoon.... Sakura Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Sakura looked over at the guy who had addressed her. "Konnichiwa, watashi wa Hiwatari Sakura desu. Ah...Gomen, sorry, I'm used to speaking Japanese. Hi, my name's Sakura Hiwatari, nice to meet you." Sakura apologized as she saw his face, reading that he couldn't understand Japanese. "Hearing that, I assume you're from Japan." Sakura nodded in reply. "Tokyo to be exact. Where are you from?" Sakura questioned, slipping her mini computer into her pocket. "California, America." Kaine answered, sitting next to her. Sakura played with her ring for a while before Kaine noticed and questioned her about it because it had an interesting design. "Anou, the emblem I assume is my family's sign and inside it is a date." Sakura said, she took the band off and showed him the inside of it where there was a date engraved, 'Don't forget 3 Oct'. "What's the date stand for? And why do you say assume, shouldn't you know?" "Well, they're related, but I don't really want to talk about it." Sakura said, slipping it back onto her right, ring finger. Kaine accepted that and they continued to talk. "So how old are you?" Kaine asked. "Ni juu, yon sai desu. In English, 24." "Interesting, I'm 24 too. I should really learn some Japanese if you're going to keep using it." Kaine replied. "Ah, gomen, I can't help it. Born and bred in Japan." Sakura blushed, rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment. After some comfortable silence, Sakura looked around at the others, some were talking but most were keeping to themselves as they waited for everyone to arrive. Sakura spotted another guy who looked interesting. "Ah, sumimasen, we'll talk again, ne?" Sakura said standing. "Sure, talk to you later." Kaine replied, getting used to the Japanese expressions she used. Sakura gave him a fleeting smile and approached the other guy she'd seen. "Konnichiwa, I'm Sakura Hiwatari, hajimemashite, which means nice to meet you. And you are?" Sakura greeted. "Sean, Sean Glacier. Nice to meet you." he replied with a Scottish accent. Blayze Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 The limo pulled up outside a large mansion a few hours later, and James peered through the tinted window. There were several people standing outside already. He opened the door and stepped out, his black shoes crunching onto the gravel. He stood up, and straightened his suit, then went round to the back of the vehicle and opened the boot, getting his suitcase out. His shoes crunched even more as he walked up the drive, reaching the other people, whom he assumed must be the other "contestants." He walked up to one, a young man sitting on the ground, quietly somking a battered cigarette, and extended his hand. "James Gregson, pleased to meet you," he said with a smile. The young man took his hand and shook it. "The name's Tucker Owens, expert pilot and plane-building extraordinare," said the young man, smiling back at James. "Alright, kid, I didn't need your life story," said James coldly, turning his attention away. He hated people who tried to impose themselves on you like that. He saw the others, all talking to each other, getting to know one another. He walked over to one group, and joined in the conversation. "And you are?" asked one, a Scot, before correcting himself. "Sorry, that sounded rude. Sean Glacier." James shook hands with Sean. "I'm James Gregson," he said. "I've heard of you," said one of the girls, "You're like a millionaire playboy or something, aren't you?" "Well, I have been described as a playboy before, mostly by my manservant, but he's old, he doesn't know what it is to live on the edge." "Didn't you get addicted to cocaine? You were in rehab for, like, a year. I remember seeing it on TV." "You're full of questions, aren't you?" he said, "What's your name?" "Sakura Hiwatari," she said, holding out her hand. He took it, but instead of shaking it, he kissed it, as a true gentleman would. She withdrew her hand, suddenly embarassed. "I'll leave you two alone," said James. He nodded to them both and walked away. He took a seat on a bench, and waited for the rest of the contestants to arrive. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ezekiel Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 t the back of the group, her nerves seemed to be getting the best of her and the very last thing she wanted was for someone to talk to her as she became a blabbering mess. Yes, being a loner would be wonderful for a couple of days, at least that way she would be able to get a good idea of what the other housemates were like. So, careful to avoid the others talking to each other, Imogen instead opted for leaning against a far whitewashed brick wall, taking out her MP3 player. She switched tracks to Asian Kung-Fu Generation and smiled happily, nodding her head to the beat. Closing her eyes and leaning her head back was possibly Imogen's worst decision so far. As the gentle rays of sun warmed her features, she didn't notice someone looking at her from the group. She sighed again and cracked open an eye to see someone walking over to her. Guest Sean Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 "It's good to meet you, this place is interesting" Sean said as they began walking up to the mansion. Sakura nodded, and they began talking about there lives, Sean understood some Japanese, but usually had to guess, or wait until the English translation came along with it. They got along fine, and finally they made it into the Great Hall, The mansion was huge in size, and Sakura left Sean to find her room. Sean went the opposite way, way, but ended up walking the same way as Sakura. Names of some people were ingraved on the doors. He saw that he was beside someone named 'Imogen' and Imogen was also next to someone named 'Lena'. At the other side of Sean was someone named 'Sergio'. He thought to himself, looking at the names, but then walked into the room titled 'Sean'. The room was a bright white, his favourite colour, the carpet, was a beautiful white, and the wallpaper, just glowed. There was 3 book shelves, hosting tons of what looked like Books, CD's and DVD's. But the two best bits of the room were the gigantic bed, and the TV mounted on the wall. Sean ran over to the bed, dropping all of his stuff, and pulled out the controller for the XBox. There was a stack of games in the shelves underneath the TV. Sean pulled out Halo 2, and turned the volume up full blast. "Let the fun began." Sean roared, but you couldn't hear him for the noise of the game. He grinned, and began his way fighting the Grunts and Prophets. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Redemption Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 OOC: Sorry for being so late. Had some things to do over the weekend. But I'm back now. Karyan read the letter twice. Her naturally suspicous nature kicked in. There had to be some catch. There always was. The lure of having everything she desired was very enticing. But what she desired the most, was what she feared the most. Karyan swivelled around on her computer chair, having a blanket tightly wrapped around her. Moscow winters were killers, and luckily Karyan was wealthy enough to afford sufficient heating and clothing for herself. Turning back towards her computer, Karyan typed out her reply. To the 'Master of Games', I will join your little game. We'll see where it will really end. Karyan -Armenian Darkness- With one click, Karyan sent her reply. ********************************* Hours later, Karyan stood outside the main International Airport in the United Kingdom. Her bags of possessions lay at her side. Cold wind whipped around her but it didn't bother her. Moscow was far colder than anywhere in the United Kingdom could be. A black limousine rolled into a parking space in front of Karyan. A round man hastily got out of the driver's side and made his way clumsily over to her. " You're late," Karyan growled. Because of this man, she was going to be the last to arrive. She wanted to check out the competition. This was a game after all. It wasn't like that were gambling with their lives or anything. ********************************* The limousine cruched across a crushed gravel driveway. The mansion Karyan could see at the end was massive. Her mind flitted momentarily to how much money this man possessed. It was a small fortune indeed. When the limousine stopped, Karyan stepped out quickly, grabbed her bags and walked up the stairs, into the castle. Entering into the great entrance hall, Karyan looked around, astonished at all of the detail this massive room possessed. Her long black leather trenchcoat fluttered out behind her ominously. A look of shock played over her face. She was the last to enter the room. Karyan growled under her breath. " Note to self: kill that limousine driver the next time I get a chance to." She looked around. Everyone was talking to one another. " Great. Just what I need. To be left out the first day I'm here. Just bloody great." Scanning the room to find a group of victims to which she would talk to first, she found a lone guy. Walking up to him with her trenchcoat fluttering out behind her, Karyan looked exactly what her name meant: the Armenian darkness. Long curled black hair, dark cold brown eyes, and the black trenchcoat to match. The guy saw her coming. His golden blonde hair swished around his head in slow motion. He was rather dashing. " Hi, I'm Karyan, and you are?" Karyan said as she stuck out a black leather gloved hand towards him. OOC: I hope you don't mind Seiryuu. And this is before we go to our rooms. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Citrus Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Maria put her radio player away and headed up with the others, she heard a couple people?s names but not all of them. As she approached the mansion she could not help but blurt out ?Ai! Que lindo!? Everyone looked over at her then walked into the mansion to explore. Maria shrugged and walked in following Sakura. A tall man took her bags for her and marched up the stairs, ?Creepy? Maria whispered and crossed her arms as she examined the mansion. She walked up to a painting and looked at it, simply amazing. She walked further into the mansion and found a library. She smiled brightly and walked over to a shelf and slid a book out of its place entitled ?Q & A of the Latin World? Maria smiled and sat down to read it. Then something hit her ?Oh yea! I need to check my room out!? Maria took the book and ran up the intertwining stairs. She walked down a hallway with names of the guests on plaques, Maria looked side to side until she saw her room. It was on Sean?s side of the wall next to him. ?Hmm, better meet this guy Sean?? Maria walked into her room and marveled it. The purple on the wall went perfectly with her purple bed. Maria jumped on the bed and hugged a pillow. When Maria looked up she saw someone at her door, it was the one named Kaine. ?Yo? he said, ?Hi, I am Maria.? Kaine nodded and said ?Maria?? to himself. Obviously he was trying to acquire everyone?s name in the mansion. Then Sergio appeared at the door. Maria?s face lit up and said ?Hi! Come in come in!? Maria motioned him to come in and he did so. ?So you like your new room?? he asked looking around ?Yes, I love it!? Sergio nodded his head, and Maria turned on the T.V. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tag, Retri Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Blayze Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 James walked slowly up to his room, the sound of his footsteps ringing through the cavernous building. He walked down the corridor where everyone had their rooms, and found the one which said: "James" on the door. He turned the handle, and the door slid open silently. That was good. You could always tell how good a room would be by seeing whether the door creaked when opened. He went inside, and saw his room. Everything was warm colours, terracottas and oranges all the way through. He loved warm colours, they reminded him of the fire in his heart. He dumped his suitcase on the bed, and sat on it, loosening his tie. He got up again momentarily, and went to the bathroom. Again, warm colours. How the hell did this Master of Games know so much about him? He had only had contact with him once, and that was only a few hours before he had arrived. He looked in the mirror, for the first time that day. He shuddered. There were bags under his eyes, and his hair was messy. No wonder the other guests didn't seem to take to him, with him looking like that. He combed his silver hair, tidying it up no end, and washed his face. He now looked as he would like to. He tugged at his goatee beard, wondering whether it was still a good look or not. He felt dirty after his long car journey, so he stripped off to take a shower. His muscles rippled across his body, and he felt refreshed as the cold water splashed onto him. He only took cold showers, for reasons he couldn't remember, possibly dating back to his childhood. As he stepped out of the shower cubicle, he grabbed a towel and rubbed himself dry. As he left the bathroom, his suitcase was in the corner of the room, nowehre near where he had left it, and it was empty. He looked around for his clothes, eventually finding them pressed and hanging up in his wardrobe. Weird. "Who's there?" he said, believing there was someone in his room, moving things around. There was no answer. He scratched his beard, and then moved to the bed. This house was getting stranger by the minute. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Retribution Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Sergio's room was perfect to him, too. He had been comepletely over-joyed when he saw the white marble in the bathroom, the lush carpeting, the huge TV, along with countless other luxuries. But somethign was strange about everyone's room being perfect. "Maria you're room's perfect to you, verdad?" She nodded, flipping through the channels for something she wanted to watch. She wasn't listening entirely to him, either. "Isn't there something strange about that? How could he know?" She turned to him, and furrowed her brow, but then cracked a bigger smile at him. "Don't worry about it so much!" Sergio nodded uneasily, trying to take her words to heart. The television rambled in the background, and soom became rather annoying. Perhaps it was just because Oxford didn't allow for him to have the leisure time of just watching TV, or maybe because he loved to read. "So anyway, tell me about yourself, Sergio. What do you like?" She sat on the bed, Sergio took a seat on the floor. He didn't mind, really. "Hm... well, I'm from Madrid, as you know. I graduated from Oxford, and I like aeronautics," he grinned before continuing "I like to practice my English whenever I can, and I'm pretty nervous about this mansion." "That's only expected though. I'm a little nervous too. But go on..." "Oh. I was born in Castile, and I write, well, at least try to write poe--" he was cut short by a crackling sound overhead. The owner of the mansion gave them simple instructions, and of course, they would follow him. "Well, we can talk on the way to the fountain. How about it?" he said. She nodded to him, and both walked out the door and towards the back of the mansion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ezekiel Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Imogen's ears perked up as she was lying on her bed, the speaker had come as a shock especially since she couldn't see one in her room. The idea that a hidden speaker could possibly mean hidden cameras worried her greatly. She stood up and brushed her short hair quickly, before walking outside. There she bumped into someone who had just been coming down the hall. Wincing slightly, she turned and blushed, apologising profusely. "It doesn't matter, I wasn't looking either." the man's voice was gentle and he patted Imogen's shoulder, showing her no harm was done. As she looked back up, she saw he was smiling as he stuck out his hand, "My name is James." "Oh," Imogen knew she sounded flustered, "Imogen, Imogen Nesbitt." she shook his hand; he nodded, and then carried on leaving Imogen in the corridor, a bemused expression on her face. She shook her head clear and carried on downstairs, keeping note of the people she was closest to and the landmarks in this massive house. She just knew she was going to get lost eventually. Seeing the large doors at the back of the house, Imogen made her way outside and shielded herself from the sun as she made her way over to the fountain. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kamuro Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Tucker walked up a long staircase as a man in a suit lead him to his room. Tucker looked around in awe at the house. This place is friggin huge he thought. They finally reached his room at the end of the hallway and the man opened the door for Tucker. "Thanks man" Tucker patted the man hard on the shoulder as he walked into his room and shut the door behind him. He looked around the room and saw it was pretty plain, just how he liked it. Hmm, you'd think a fancy house like this'd have a pretty fancy room he thought as he plopped on the bed testing it. He began to unpack his things and rearrange a bit to his liking. Opened a drawer and found some model airplanes and pictures as well as blueprints of several planes. Holy shit, look at all this stuff he began to hang them up on his wall and examine some of the model sets he'd found. After an hour or so the room looked just like his own. Pictures of planes all over and a couple models sitting on a desk to the right of the room. Perfect he thought as he lit a cigarette. No more had he taken a puff he heard an announcement on the loudspeaker. He grunted "And I was just getting situated." He opened the door and began his walk down the long hallway to the fountain mentioned over the intercom. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
