EVA Unit 100
I'd say 4Kids' One Piece edit. It's only gotten worse and worse. It changed from merely removing blood, cursing, and alcohol (AKA the usual stuff) in the first episode to transforming guns into bizzare ACME hammers and rice balls into cookies to removing death, destroying character development, scene-shuffling, and (worst of all for all us pathetic fanboys) evened out Nami's figure! I want it to succeed on Toonami but only if it allows an uncut release to come to DVD and a more reasonably edittted version on TV. However, there's also another one that would come less likely to people: the Japanese Bebop edit. They basically cut out half the episodes and left it on one gigantic cliffhanger! Most of their choices of what episodes to air barely made sense! Not only does Jupiter Jazz not make much sense without Ballad of Fallen Angels airing before it, but airing it, a very violent episode of Bebop, while not airing Mushroom Samba, which had a pretty clear message not to do drugs and had very little violence or stuff of the sort, seems a bit odd. PWNED
The worst editing job would easily have to be Dragon Ball Z. How so do you ask? Well they did put digital underwear on nearly everything that didn't agree with them. Ex: When Gohan was changed from the giant Ape back into himself there was always a scrap of clothing on him. They didn't stop here, they deleted a fair amount of content as well as editing any bits which showed a male character crying so that they wouldn't be. There are many animes that have a TV edit that was butchered to death but these ones are closest to mind.
Limeaide
Basiclly anything that 4Kids edits is horrible, but...I have to agree that almost all of the edits done to One Piece were awful, and sometimes uneeded, such as...well, EVA Unit 100 already listed most of them, so....

Delta
Try putting Fushigi Yuugi on the early evening/PG-13 timeslot. Goodness, our local network cut nearly a quarter of the series because the scenes were deemed "for mature audiences only." Feh. That's the problem when you can't spare late night timeslots to anime. Sure, some scenes were just fanservice but you miss out a lot when they edit out scenes that tell you why the mikos can't get intimate with anyone.
Twilight_Kioku
oh, i know this isnt anime, but i was watching the matrix on TBS a few weeks ago, and they competly skipped the part where neo was waiting to see the oracle. no spoon kid at all. later in the movie, when neo said 'there is no spoon', it made absolutely no sence whatsoever unless youve already seen it? wtf is goin on? jean_san
Two words people- Outlaw Star. Here's a few edits for starters... * Poker is now Go-Fish. * Reloading of the caster gun? Gone. * Melfina with drawn in clothes. * Some sex scene?
Godelsensei
I always wondered why the people who edited DragonBall felt it would be more appropriate to have a little boy running around in a thong than simply naked. I mean, really, how many people would have found a small child's rear all that traumatizing? I doubt even the soccer moms would have cared. Apparently, Chinese editing studios don't even bother to replace cigarettes with lollipops, instead merely leaving a white blob hovering in front of whoever's face. I mean, at least 4Kids takes some initiative to make things suck badly.
