He entered the World and began his search for three hackers just like him.

[B]OOC: Alright. Hackers, you meet up with Koji somehow and people who are playing Oka, Blackrose, Kite, etc. you guys are new to the World and you guys become friends somehow (but not so quickly). Can anyone play one more character (please?) because we don't have enough. And if anyone wants to then change your color so we can tell the difference. Thanks. OOC: OK, hey I'll try to play another character^^

Tori looked at the game package that had just arrived in the mail. She picked up the mysterious box and kicked open the door to get inside of the house.
"TORI! They made doorhandles for a reason, remember you were the reason we had to get NEW doors!" Her step-dad, always with the yelling and screaming. Her mom still hadn't figured out that he hated her and her sister, Asha.
"Yeah! Whatever, don't care!" She had some other choice words but, she thought she better save them for later. Yet again, when she reached another door, aka, her room's door, she repeated her antics that had ruined seven doors in the house.
"Dammit, Tori! Doors arn't supposed to be kicked open everytime your hands are full!" In response she slammed the door when she set her stuff down on her bed.
"What is it with him and kids....prick," she laughed rufully at this. She pulled out her knife and cut open the plastic that surrounded the unknown box. She flipped the box over and dumped it's contents on the plush bed.
"Damn, who the hell wants to look though all of this?" She was picking up little pamphlets and such with tiny writing between Japanese and English. She knew exactly what everything said none-the-less. As a summary of what it said:
"Welcome, you have been chosen to play THE WORLD. An online RPG (Role Play Game) insert the following CD into your CD drive and it will appear for you. The following headset and controllers are for you to plug in (various places) allowing you to control you're character."
She looked astonished at the thing, she then took another glance at the box. On it was a note, a hard to read note at that. She picked it up and filmy stars started to float around the room. When her eyes focused back on the paper...gasp. A song started to emmit from the film-like stars. She started to read it out loud.
"P-1-e-@-$-3 h-3-1-p m-3. !-'m +-r-@-p-p-3-&. +-h-e-^-3-'$ n-0-+ m-%-(-h +-!-m-3." What was that supposed to mean. She looked at it closer. "P-1-e-@-$-3, wait, hold on, it's a code!" She almost laughed at herself. "Please........help......me. I'm........trapped. There's..........not......much......time..." She let her voice trail off.
"I have to get this thing working to find out if this is a joke," She fixed the computer and formatted THE WORLD.
"Welcome to THE WORLD, please enjoy your stay, BlackRose." A sing-song voice sounded somewhere within the VR Helmet. She was going to find out what that note meant, one way....or another.

[B]Mint just came back from school five minutes ago. She took a shower and got into some comfortable clothes. She looked at her laptop.[/B]

[I]Hello, Mint. You must be another hacker would you like to join me? GO TO THE WORLD and meet me at the lake nearby the bridge.

[B]Mint eyed the e-mail curiously but decided to join him and his game. Mint logged on to her computer to the WORLD.[/B]

[B]Mint entered the World. She began to play the game for awhile and gained a few levels. Soon she went to the lake near the bridge. She saw a boy who looked like she was her age.[/B]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]"Excuse me? Are you Koji?" She asked.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Navy]"Yes I am," the boy replied, "You must have gotten my e-mail. Would you like to join my party?"[/COLOR]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]"Join your party?" [/COLOR]

[COLOR=Navy]"Yes. My party. I'll explain evrything soon but I need an answer," Koji said.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]"Sure..." Mint smiled.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Navy]"Excellent," Koji smiled.[/COLOR]

Kory jumped into his room, laying his back-pack down.He closed his eyes and yawned. After doing so, he looked on his desk and found a package where his mother normally put his mail.
[COLOR=Olive]"What in the world is this?"[/COLOR]he asked.As he opened it, he found a note inside that read'You have been chosen to be in the World. The world is a new online rpg. To starrt, just put in the Disk inside, connect the controller and head viewer, and enter ypur name and password. After doing so, you will be allowed to play.' Kory fallowed the instructions.

Finally, a notice came on his screen.he started to design his character. Finally, he was in the world.He looked at his screen and saw that his character was given the name Balmung

The character BlackRose ran through the root town Mac Anu without a steady pace of what she was doing. She talked to a lot of people but they were 'too busy' or 'about to get off' everytime she asked if someone would like to help.
"Lord! Where are all of the players-newbies," it was hard to get used to the lingo, but she managed well. Just two days ago she was scared out of her wits. A boy that she had tagged along with through a dungeon, though when they reached the bottom they both realized they each had forgotten a 'Sprite Ocarina' so they had to return the way that they came. But the boy didn't make it back. This silver thing that couldn't be hit, killed him right there. The boy went to her school. C.J. Michaels, is what she thought his name was. She liked him because he was Tennis Team, but he was better looking, more athletic, and didn't know that she existed; but in THE WORLD he did, and he was now in a coma. A boy came up in the 'Chaos Gate', just where she was. He had a green hat, green outfit, blue hair, Twin Blades...newbie alert!
"Hey! What are you looking at?" He just stared. "You know it's impolite to stare like that...it's just like the real world, you have to treat people with respect." He was still staring, she thought that she would leave.
"Uh," is all he said for the moment.
"You're a newbie aren't you?" Still staring. Damn, no one had ever acted like she was invisible or couldn't hear her! "Listen, kid, one last chance, who are you?" He stared and started to reply,
"Kite." Awesome! Okay let's see, I can take him to this place that I found out about.
"Hey, do you want to go somewhere cool?"
"Uh...sure!" She handed him her address, he added her. "Where are we going?"
"Delta, Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground..." The Chaos Gate gated them out of Aqua Capital Mac Anu.

Mica looked at the package dubiously and sighed, ?Just what she needed another game to lower her grades more.? Her mother?s voice comes from the kitchen as Mica opens the package carefully. Setting the game up she looks at the VR helmet and puts it on.

Mica looks at her character and smiles, ?This is nice.? She stands a little away from the Chaos gate looking around she tentively steps farther away. ?Might have been better if I had read the instructions.? Gathering her courage she walks east from the gate. The weight of her double bladed staffs on her back comforts her a bit. ?I wonder where everyone is.? She continues her path down a slope for a few minutes and sees a large town sprawled out in front of her. Stopping she looks at the town in awe.

[B]Koji met up with Mint at the bridge. She agreed to join the so-called 'party' and Koji was explaining it to her.[/B]

[COLOR=Navy]"Well...right now I'm suppose to be looking for the other two hackers and then we will start my plan soon enough," Koji smiled.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]"What kind of plan?" Mint asked.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Navy]"A plan to destroy the legendary characters Blackrose and Kite."[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]"Oh..."[/COLOR]

[COLOR=Navy]"Well we will enjoy our time here and search for the other hackers, alright? And when we're done then we'll get started."[/COLOR]

[B]Koji and Mint got off the bridge discussing the rest of the stuff and searching for the remaining hackers as well. They gained points and grew stronger. Koji had to leave and sign off.[/B]

[COLOR=Navy]"Goodbye," Koji called to Mint.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]"Bye!" Mint called back and Koji signed off.[/COLOR]

[B]Koji put his headset down and waited for another day to come.[/B]

[COLOR=Navy]"This is going swell.." Koji said to himself and fell asleep.[/COLOR]

BlackRose looked at the boy,
"Well, aren't you going to escort me like gentleman?" She said in a voice that she knew that the boy must've known she was kinda annoyed with him, even though she invited him. He remained silent and ran toward the church at the other end of the bridge. When they entered the background changed to a heart gripping music, with a statue of a girl chained to the wal, seperated from people by a gate with an inscription in front of her.
Suddenly, a goblin appeared and Kite slashed it while BlackRose stood by freaking out. "Well, look at that, you didn't...even need my help, did you?" He shook his blue haired head and walked toward the girl's statue.
OOC: Short I know, going to this Jazz and Jumble-I thing or something like that.

Mint waved goodbye to Koji and soon decided to play in the World. Koji and Mint were searching for the other hackers but had no luck. They would try again tomorrow. Mint gained points and raised a couple of levels. She became stronger and faster. [/B]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]"Well it's been a long day so I guess I'll just sign off."[/COLOR]

[B]And with that she signed off. She put her helmet down and changed into her pajamas and went to sleep and couldn't wait for the next day.[/B]

[SIZE=1] [B]After a long period of not playing [I]The World[/I] due to being grounded by his mother, James finally put on his virtual headset and logged in.[/B]

[COLOR=DarkGreen]After he logged in, James checked his mail and saw that he had a letter from some guy named Koji. It said to meet him at the bridge in Mac Anu (?) in a hour. That message was sent to him almost 3 days ago, so he just shrugged it off and logged into Mac Anu. There was nothing going on, so he went to buy some items .. well .. more like steal them by hacking into the Merchants files and transfering whatever he needed to himself. James sometimes regretted being a hacker, but he always found a reason to change his own mind.

James went around to different dungeons and leveled up, but he was already at a remotely high level. He could have just easily hacked into the system and maxed out all of his own stats, but he needed some reason to enjoy this game. He started to think about the e-mail he got from Koji, and then logged out after being told by his mother to take out the garbage.[/COLOR]

OOC: PLEASE PPL! If you wanna join this this SIGN-UP, we'd be happy to have you play. Oh, ya, since I've played BlackRose for awhile, I'll take over the other character I'm playing (Kite) cuz I figure it's ok with azn_dude.

IC (Kite POV):

Kite looked at the girl's statue, thinking about Orca and what happened. He was shocked at how that...thing was chasing that pale, white dressed girl, then disappeared. How Orca seemed to know who she was. How that thing had placed his friend into a coma. It was...unnatural, no, unreal. Though THE WORLD's surreal anything that happens in the game, could affect the person playing IRL. An inscription lay in front of the statue of the girl that look like the pale girl. He started to read it out loud:
"Skeith...Innus...Megus...I can't read the rest. It's faded too much." BlackRose came up beside him and said more friendly,
"I guess you noticed...that, I'm a newbie too?" He nodded and mutted a small, 'Mm-hm'. BlackRose started to talk about herself and why she was there-here in THE WORLD, when the doors to the church burst open and a man with white hair and a katana came rushing in.
"It isn't safe! Get out of here at once!" BlackRose rose to the occasion of getting mad.
"What about you, huh?!" Then a Headhunter fell through the roof, after a glitch-like the time...
The man rushed at the thing and killed it, but gliches started to appear again and the Headhunter came back to life.
"What the...that thing..it's supposed to be dead!" BlackRose was losing her head.
"This one as well," the armored, white-headed man said. BlackRose then picked up her HeavyBlade and said,
"For what you did...I'll kill you!" And she charged forward with a shout from the man:
"Leave it be or you'll be killed!" THen a voice was ringing in Kite's head-HER voice:
"The book, use the book, with it can bring forth...either...salvation...or...destruction...at the wim of the user." He opened the book and threw it in front of him with difficulty. Pain coursed through his body as it became reconfigured with an orange outfit, and the power of Data Drain.

[B]He walked towards the bridge once more waiting for Mint. In ten minutes she came and waved hi to him.[/B]

[COLOR=Navy]"Well we are still on the search for the other characters or hackers as you say," Koji whispered.[/COLOR]

Mica had wondered through the town and back out of now she was completely lost. She had gotten up a few levels and was looking into a dungeon when the trumpets blared and the sign came up. ?Cool, I just have to find my way back I guess.? She keeps going down the trail abandoning the dungeon and hears a commotion. ?Could be another announcement.? Climbing up a hill she looks down and sees a girl wearing blue standing and watching three people fighting. The girl summons a monster and sends it to attack the three; it looked like a cross between a Minotaur and a Ruk. ?Crap.? Might as well help she thinks and quickly makes her way around behind the girl in blue. Trying to soften her footfalls she walks up behind the girl and stand at her side. ?What ?cha doing?? she asks innocently.

[SIZE=1] [B]A day later James finally once again logged into The World, and was once again bored out of his mind. He was going around harrassing players until the sign for the event was posted.[/B]

[B]Realizing that this was his chance to finally make himself realized as a threat in The World, he decided to practice his fighting skills for a while in some random area. When he got there he fought a couple of lowly monsters, but what caught his eye was that in the distance he saw three players fighting a huge monster he had never seen before. He did not feel like taking the time to run there, so he hacked into the sytem and placed himself next to the battle site. This caught Mint by suprise, and she almost fell backwards but she caught herself before she fell.[/B]

[COLOR=DarkRed]" Umm ... did you just get teleported here? ," said Mint.[/COLOR]

[B]Not wanting to reveal he was hacker, James quickly came up with a lie. [/B] [COLOR=DarkGreen]" No .. I was teleported here when I warped to this area .. * cough cough *. Do you know what the name of that monster is?"[/COLOR]

IC(BlackRose POV): Tori sighed as she logged out to check her mail. She was still kinda freaked out about what happened about ten minutes ago.

"Awesome, I'll ask Kite if he wants to come with me." With that she gated/logged back in.

IC(Kite POV):
"Sure, why not?" He said as he added her to his party, "Where is it again?" BlackRose then handed him the address. "Freaky, but oh well, here we go!" Gold strips wrapped themselves around them as the were warped to the field. Data was flying in every which way.
"Okay, why would they hold an event in a destoryed site?" BlackRose asked him quietly.
"I dunno..." His heart was racing painfully against his chest.
CRASH! TINK! BOOM!
"What the hell!?" BlackRose shouted as this huge creature-a level not of this area-came up.
"It's a...a...?" Kite looked at the name-tag of the creature.
"R$% *y@!....it's like that letter from....!" His words were drowned out as the creature rammed him over the head with it's club.
"KITE!" BlackRose ran at the thing starting to attack it. "Damn thing, die already!" She was screaming at it, but his head was pounding and he couldn't see too well.
OOC: I have to stop right there right now-SORRY!

[COLOR=DarkRed]Mint replied, " Uhh..well I uhh...dunno. It just came out of no where." [/COLOR]

[B]Mint smiled trying to show her innocent face. She smiled and sat down on the floor while the legendary characters fought the high level monster.[/B]

[COLOR=DarkRed][I]My monster seems a bit weak...I should make a new one huh?[/I] Mint thought to herself.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]"Oh yeah, I never got your name, sir???" Mint questioned.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=SeaGreen]"Oh...uhh. The name's James," he replied.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]"Nice to meet you James," Mint smiled, "My name is Mint."[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]" Kind of, but not exactly. You said you were teleported to this area right?"[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkGreen]" Yup .. why? " James said with a puzzled look.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed]" Because all players coming to this area are teleported over there .. but you suddenly appeared over here. Are you lying to me about something?" said Mint with a glare.[/COLOR]

[B]Realizing that his cover might be blown .. James quickly logged out of the area and returned to Mac Anu. He thought that he should find this Koji guy at the event tonight .. and talk with him about there unique abilities.[/B]

[I]OOC: Sorry it took me so long to reply .. i've been pretty busy with school lately.[/I][/SIZE]

[B]Mint left her room and soon an e-mail popped up. She thought she'd get it later since she was a bit hungry.[/B]

[I]Hello. Today we have an event and I hope to see you there. I will be waiting near the bridge I told you about on my last e-mail. I hope to see you there all dressed up nicely so I will finally prepare or attack on the lengendary characters. I'll see you later and I hope you have fun.

He clicked send and sent it to Mint and James.

Koji got off his computer and went to eat dinner.

OOC: Lol, that's funny....i think.

IC(BlackRose): BlackRose started screaming and fighting the thing with all of her might. Dammit! I'll never defeat this thing-I need to find a place to hind and ressurect Kite.
"Calamity!" The monster took to the damage.
"System Error-PORTECT BREAK!" Yelled the computer. BlackRose saw a place to hide. The rock by the dungeon. She rolled behind it and threw the sutra 'Ressurect' at Kite. It hit his forehead, and blue light fell over his now colored shoulders.
"DATA DRAIN!" He shouted after looking at his attack menu. BlackRose was relived to see a little goblin as the after form. BlackRose slammed her blade over his head, and it disappered in red and gold lights.

IC(Kite):
"Thanks for finally healing me, BlackRose. But what took you so long?" Kite accused the girl that didn't bother to ressurect him until the end.
"Because the monster didn't take to anything but my last 'Calamity', Kite. And when did you start talking, huh?" She accused him right back.
"Because, uh, well, you're helping me right? So, we have to start talking to one another." Relived, he sighed inwardly as she looked at him an inch from his face. Kite fell to the ground, blushing.
"I was checking to see if you were lying. I'm the expert at calling bluffs." Kite gave her a weak smile and both gated out. Whoever was after them, this would not be stopped till the bugs were shut down, Kite figured as he logged out of the game.

Micca logged out confused, there must be something wrong with the helmet but everyone in the town heard me. Micca examines the helmet quickly and finds nothing wrong; she goes over the whole unit and finds nothing except a peppermint wrapper lodged in a piece of gum. I wonder why they didn?t see me! James, he said something about databugs. Micca waited after dinner to log back on and went looking for the two that were fighting the giant monster. She waits until the event starts and gives up, there?s no point wasting my time on them if there not here. She walks up to a sign and re-reads it. Turning she looks around her and follows the stream of people.

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]"Ahh...what a great dinner!!" Mint said walking up to her computer.

"Dear!!! You better not go on the computer until you finish your homework and chores!!!" her mother shouted from downstairs.

"I already did!!" Mint shouted back.

[B]She looked at her computer and saw something blinking. [/B]

"Oh yeah. The e-mail! I wonder who it's from?" Mint said to herself.

[B]She clicked on it and it popped up.[/B]

"Kite?" She looked aprehensive toward her new friend.
"Hm?" Kite stared right back at her, his blue eyes alight with a glow of anger and thought.
"Don't you find this strange?"
"What do you mean 'strange'?" His gaze softened as she looked sadly at him.
"How we seem to be found, and having to fight against strange creatures. And how Balmung's going to kill you and destroy your character if he sees you use 'Data Drain' again." He looked away from her, gaping at the people in a pub. He shut his mouth and the blue eyes froze her insides.
"Hackers, you mean. Hackers are what have destroyed THE WORLD, BlackRose. Not the ablity 'Data Drain'. Damn them to hell. No one should ever use a VR game to destroy lives. It's better to destroy them from the outside-in, not the other way around. I should know." Her pink eyes widened in shock.
"What? You have-"
"No, I've seen it happen." His voice was colder now, not crystally as it was before, but it had a sense of....evil.
"What's wrong with you, you seem...agitated, or something." The blue hair whipped around for the seventh time.
"No, I'm fine." His face broke into a smile, his eyes glittered, warmer. His voice as smooth as the crystal on her blade. She sighed, slightly afraid. What was the matter with Kite? Why was he acting so...funny?
"Well, I'll see you later. Dinner, you know?" He nodded, returning to his reverie. She gated out feeling like he wasn't telling her something. Tori rubbed her head.
"He's so thoughtful, so...serious. Then, when you least expect it, he has a warm smile and a caring heart. Though it evaporates into sorrow and secrets." Asha, Tori's younger sister, poked her head into her room.
"Who's this? Your boyfriend that you're so worried about?" Tori threw a clock at her, missing by and inch.
"HA! You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!" Asha screamed happily.
"Wanna stick around and find out?" Tori had her another weapon in one hand, ready, almost daring, Asha to come on.
"Mom says dinner's ready if you must know." Asha said, walking away.
"I don't give a damn, Asha." She almost whispered, but Asha still heard her.
"You know, you can't live off of games, you know?" Tori threw the book, hitting her sister right on the neck. Forcing her to her knees. Almost tripping over the stairs.
"Just a little closer and I'd be one pain in the ass free..." Tori sighed wistfully. She shut the computer down, and walked out of her room, shutting the door, following her sister downstairs.
