Brooklyn
OOC: ok, I would like every one to be with in the area between Pallet ? Viridian City please, so that we can meet up, go alone, split into groups, ect. Also for some reason (if you start in pallet town) to be at Professor oaks lab when people receive their starters. IC: Scott opened his eyes slowly; a pale blue light filled his vision as he awoke from his mid day nap. He pulled the blue curtains and bright light filled the once dark room. I wonder why Oak could not see us till 3:30 pm today He flopped down on a beanbag in the corner of his room in his small house in Pallet. He looked down at his floor; it was littered with discarded toys and playing cards, which he had not played with in some time. He had just recently won a pokemon card tournament with ease, and spinning tops, which lay shattered on the table next to the window. All of these things had once amused him with great pleasure and he had mastered them all. But now he was just a forgotten Champion of all his old hobbies, the next was Pokemon training. He knew he could become a master without breaking a sweat, like all else he had never before sweat from fear or discomfort, with the exception to long hours in a hot place. He had learned to keep his head no matter what the conditions of the peril that he found him self. He looked at the clock, it read 2:34 PM. Still almost an hour till he had to go meet Oak, Perhaps the park would hold out his interest till the time came to meet the professor. He dressed in a rather lay fashion and ran a comb through his untidy hair, this had no effect to tam the brownish red hair, and he found a pair of clean cloths in the untidy closet. Slipping into them he headed out the door. As he went he grabbed an apple and opened the screen door. He bit into the apple as he walked down the dirt road to the park. He looked at his watch, only 10 minuets had past since he last looked at a clock. What a boring day He thought this as he lay down on the lush green grass and stared at the blue sky. A butterfree landed on his knee, it was unusually small and discolored. He let out a giggle and began to stare at the sky once more. OOC: Oak has told the people receiving pokemon to meet him at 3:30 pm today. I hope this goes well!!
Kitty
"Thank you," Rin bowed, taking her bag from the clerk and leaping towards the exit. Outside was beautful; blue skies, Pigeotto's and Butterfree's swimming between the clouds, and the warm sun illuminating the small pond off to her right. Quickly emptying the contents of the plastic bag into her backpack, Rin disposed of her trash in a nearby trash bin. "Where to?" she sighed. Her desire to see the entire region was often hindered by the fact that she had to walk the whole way. That, and she had no map. She did know, however, that wherever she went she could catch new pokemon. The more she got, the better. Of course, around Viridian, most wild pokemon were weak, and her pokemon had been trained for three years. "Hmph. Figures.. The one time I reach a gym, it's closed," she sighed. She had stopped by the Viridian Gym, hoping for a battle for a badge, but the leader hadn't been there. After a moment of thinking to herself, she mumbled, "Oh well. Might as well head off for Pewter. I'll go.. that'a way!" Giggling, she rushed off down the road. Unfortunately for her, she was going the opposite direction. Towards Pallet she went, skipping and jumping over small ledges, eagerly awaiting her first confrontation with a gym leader. On her way, she fought two Pidgey and a Rattata with her Charmander, who managed to gain a level. "Whee!" Rin squealed, hugging her pokemon and spinning around with him. Returning him to his pokeball, she then continued down the path, humming peacefully to herself. Upon the sight of the back of houses, she sped up, hoping to see the Gym around somewhere. But deeper and deeper she traveled within the town, and still there was no gym. "Wait a minute.." Pausing for a moment, she glanced around and spotted a sign in front of a fairly large building. She jogged towards it, then skidded to a halt in front of it. ".. You've got to be kidding me.." With that, she let out a loud shout of frustration, scattering a few gathering Spearow. "Damn, damn, damn..." she chanted, stomping around the fence. "Er.. Can I help you?" came a voice from behind her. Rin lifted her hung head and glanced over her shoulder to see a young aid peering out the lab door. "Uh.. Me? Uh.. Maybe. Do you have a map?" "You lost?" "No duh," she glared angrily. "Uh.. Please. Come in," the aid sighed, scratching his head and holding the door open for her. "Thanks," she coughed, walking past him. Inside was a bit cooler, even with the windows open. It was just as big inside as it appeared from outside. Large machines and computers filled some of the room, while loads of books in large bookshelves filled the rest. Near the back stood a tall man, concentrating on one computer in particular. He looked quite old, but seemed just as vigorous to complete his job as any of his young aids. The aid that had invited her in lead Rin towards the back of the building, and sat her down at a table with three pokeballs on it. "He'll be with you in a moment," the aid told her before scuttling off. "Uh.. Okay.." she said, a bit bewildered. After a few minutes of awkward waiting, the old man walked over to her smiling a wide smile. "Hello young lady. You're a pokemon trainer, are you not?" "Yeah.."
You Don't Care
"Wartortle! Use bite! Not too hard, though!" The wartorlte grabbed the Metapod and bit down with extreme force. It's shell began to crack as it cried out for mercy. "Metapo, return!" the boy cried as the pokeball retrieved the hurting pokemon. "Are you alright, Metapo?" "Excellent, Wartortle. Eat this," the other trainer said as he tossed it a berry. "You can return now." "Wartortle war," the pokemon said in glee. "No talking with your mouth full." The trainer walked up to the boy who was crying for his badly hurt pokemon. "I..I'll never..hic..get to the Poke Center in time! I don't know what to do!" He dropped the pokeball and put his face in his hands. The trainer pulled something out of his pocket. "Take this, kid." He handed the boy a super potion. "Remember to never leave town again without supplies. For you and your pokemon," he said as he gave the boy a reassuring smile. "Th-thank you," the boy let out his metapod and applied the potion. It was as good as new. "Metapo, you're alright," the boy cried for joy as he embraced it. All of a sudden, it began to shine a bright light. Almost instantly, it evolved into a butterfree. The trainer walked way, satisfied with a job well done. "What is you're name, mister? I want to thank you again." He didn't turn and kept walking. "The name is Jared. Jared Gearus." alchemist2120
Kite walked over to the Magikar"s fish tank and put some fish food in it."It's crazy. your at level 33 yet you refuse to evolve into Gyarados. Why?" He watched the fish turn to him,"Karp..karp.." He turned as his dad walked into the house and sat next to Kite. "Hey dad. Why won't he evolve? I know he could if he wanted to but he won't." His dad smiled as he put his hand in the water and petted the Magikarp."Because Kite. He doesn't feel that he needs to. If a pokemon feels strong enough on their own, thew won't evolve till they feel that the triner is ready or if they must absolutly have to to survive."Kite watched his mom's Vulpix walk in from the doggy door and point to the clock."Oh crap..It's 3:15! Bye dad. i'll see ya later!"Kite grabbed his bag and ran out of the door twards Oak's office. While running down the streen, he past a Doduo pecking at the ground for food. Kite stopped and unzipped his backpack and pulled out some foor. He set it on the ground in front of the Dodou as it stared at him. When he started to eat the food, Kite pet him on the head and took off running agian."Poor guy. I hope hes not lost."
sakurasuka
((OOC: AHH! I messed up on my sign-up on my Venonat. He's GREEN and nick-named plum. I put purple. That wouldn't change anything! Oh, and just a note, my name is pronounced like KOREA not KARYA, kay? Sorry if I spell it Karai ever, I'm still a bit used to Katai from Brookline's last RPG. Also, sorry if I used your character in-correctly or something, Xy GGu. PM me and I'll edit.)) "So... Jared Gearus, huh? You seem pretty tough." Karia stepped out of the shadow of a low growing willow tree in Jared's path. "Erm, yeah, I guess. Who are you?" Jared cocked his head to one side, not the slightest bit startled or ruffled by Karia's abrupt entrance. "Karia Omandaru. I want you to train me." She lifted the bill of her cap to reveal a pair of brilliant brown eyes and a sadistic smirk. "You look good enough." "What? Train you... Just a battle? Sure, whatever. What do you mean good enough?" Jared's glare was then met by Karia's, one ten times as potent. "I said you'll train me. I will become your student and you will make me a great Poke'mon trainer. I will repay you by training your Poke'mon to be twenty times faster, and work better with each other." Karia smiled. "Where do we start?" He shook his head. This chick had guts, he'd give her that. "I think not. I'll help you, but I don't need your help." "I beg to differ, oh great one. Alright, I've been watching you for a while. You pretty much only train with newbies, so it was difficult it guage your strength, but I think this does some justice." She pulled a thick notebook out of a black bag she was carrying and handed it to Jared. He opened it and was amazed. "Wow... This is interesting." Jared flipped through page by page to find sketch after sketch and chart after chart on his very own Poke'mon, end even himself. "Obbsessive much?" "Yup. I have determined the proper course to help your Poke'mon be much more efficient in battle." Karia let her hat fall back into her face. "So... Why don't you just use this to make your Poke'mon better? It doesn't seem like you think you need me." "But I want to test this out. You use Ivysaur, I'll use Venonat. I think you'll be surprized how much punch this little guy packs." "How much training does it have?" "It's lvl 16." Karia snapped a green Poke'ball off of her belt. "Come on, babe. Time to shine!!" "Why again do YOU get to choose my Poke'mon?" Jared reached for the Poke'ball containing Charmeleon. "Cause I wanna see if I can beat you with no weaknesses or resistances." "Fair enough. Go, Ivysaur!" "Plum, surround the field with your spore attack!" Venonat rushed into action. "Not good enough. Ivysaur, Vine Whip!" Ivysaur blew through the obstruction and wraped it's vines around Plum. She struggled awhile, then looked back at Karia for direction. "Spikes." Plum closed her eyes and her rough fur poked out into long spikes and pierced Ivysaur's vines. Ivysaur released. Plum didn't waste any time before using Sleep Powder. Ivysaur used it's injured vines to blow away the dust again. This repeated in essence a few more times. "One trick pony, eh Jared?" "One trick pony? Funny coming from a runny-nosed brat." The battle went on much like it had been for a few more minutes, each one slightly gaining ground just to lose it. Finally, Ivysaur hit it hard with a Razor Leaf. "Enough playing around, Ivysaur. Finish it real quick." Ivysaur placed one more well-aimed Razer Leaf in the direction of the almost defenseless Venonat. "Okay, I get it, you win!" Karia ran out on the field. and tended to Plum. "Speed is nothing without something to back it up. Little miss strategist over there should know that." Jared turned to leave. "No, you can't go. You have to help me, I told you... You've got to make me good." Karia scooped Plum into her arms. "Why do you care so much? You need to learn like everyone else. You need to go on your own journy, I can't help you with that." "I can go... Can you come with me?" Karia stood up, Plum still in arms. "Why would I want to waste my time babysitting a child?" Jared scoffed. This kid was too much. "I'm not a child! I'm 15 years old! I turn 16 in 23 days! I live by myself... I travel by myself. I need someone to train me... You're perfect for that." Karia pushed her hat back on her head so she could see him better. "I told you, kid... I don't... I'm not... Argh!"
GuyYouMetOnline
Rorohiko had been to Oak's lab many times before, so he definatly knew where it was. He had no trouble getting in, as all the staff recognised him. He'd helped Oak on several occasions. Of course, Oak had helped him, too. He was simply returning the favor. Rorohiko was shown to the room where Oak was. The professor was talking to a confused-looking female. He heard Rorohiko enter and looked up. "Rorohiko, good to see you,' he said. "Likewise," Rorohiko replied. "Who's this?" he asked, indicating the girl. "I'm Rin," the girl said. "I'm Rorohiko." Rorohiko turned back to Oak. "How've things been going?" "Not bad. I've been making progress in my research, but not as much as you have. In fact, I'm surprised you haven't gone pubic with your findings yet." "If I did that now, other researchers would discredit my findings with the whole Pressure thing. They'd say that I'm wrong because of that. People will believe that, especially since I'm the guy who demonstrated that there is a connection between the Pressure phenomenon and the whole disaster thing. I'm still working on that problem myself, and I'm not going public untill I have the answer." "I can understand that. Now, let me finish up with Rin, and then I'll be right with you." "Got it," Rorohiko said. He found a chair, sat down, and waited.
Kitty
"He's a nice lad," Oak smiled. "Um.. Okay?" Rin replied. "Well, as I was saying, I have a few beginning trainers on their way here, and I was wondering if you would mind traveling with one of them." "Why me? How about him?" she asked, pointing to Rorohiko. "Ah. I was going to ask him as well. But I heard from your father tha-" "My father?!" Rin burst out. The very mention of him lit her up with excitement. "Yes, yes," Oak chuckled. "He told me recently that you were traveling this direction, and have been training pokemon for a few years now. Am I correct?" Rin nodded. "Very good! Well then I'm sure you'd be a great help to these young trainers," he smiled. "Think about it for a few minutes, alright?" Rin sighed, but agreed to think it over. Oak turned to talk with Rorohiko, but paused and turned back to her. "What level are your pokemon?" "Well, Charmander's 27, and Dratini's 33," Rin told him. She paused, then asked him why he wanted to know. "Why don't you let them evolve?" "Oh, I wouldn't mind if they did. I just don't need them to." Oak paused, smiling all the while. "Then I know the trainer you'd be perfect for." With that, he turned and walked away. "What is he talking about?" Rin shook her head. She thought for a bit. "It wouldn't be bad traveling with others, but still.. I want to travel with someone with experience. A beginner would be of no use to me.." She argued to herself for a while, and still could not come up with a 'yes' or 'no' to give to Oak. "Wait.. I just came in here for a map!" Rin said suddenly. Oak and Rorohiko glanced over at her for a moment, then resumed talking. Rin sank back into her chair and messed around with one of her empty pokeballs, waiting for the other two to finish.
Wavemaster Tsuka
Seasick, Tsuka stumbled off of the odd Gyarados-shaped ferry. "I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon." Tsuka muttered aloud. The boat attendants were guiding the crowd into the nearest town, which Tsuka decided (using his map) to be Viridian. "I was supposed to go to Pallet, right? Or was it Pewter? Bah! I'm lost already..." "Going to see Oak, are you?" asked a middle-aged man who looked to be well-traveled himself. "Y-yes! How did you know?!" "I remember when I was a boy, going to see Oak my first time. You'll need to go to Pallet Town, which is south of Viridian. You should be able to get there easy enough." "T-thank you." Tsuka didn't notice he was stuttering until it was too late. "Oh well, I'm already in Viridian" he thought to himself. Then he checked his watch... "It's 3:20 already?!" Tsuka exclaimed, and broke into a run toward Pallet Town. While he wasn't exactly a fast runner, Tsuka wasn't slow either. He ignored any people or Pokemon that would have slowed him (including stepping on a particular Pidgey, which ended up causing Tsuka quite a few cuts and bruises). Moments later, he arrived in Pallet town . Low on breath and holding his side, Tsuka walked into the only building that could have possibly been a lab. "Hello," an aid greeted him with a fake smile and signaled to Oak. Two trainers looked up, but remained sitting idly. Oak, whom was easily distinguisable by his age and authority, turned from the other trainers. "Hello, you must be another one of the new trainers. If you'll just wait for other trainers... Please, take a seat near Rin and Rorohiko." And so Tsuka sat, silently, facing away from the other two. Edit: Argh, I know it's a bit late to edit, but I noticed that I used the name from my character in other RPs. Sorry ^^
Brooklyn
OOC; I?m sorry that I did not say thins earlier but there will not be levels in this role play. I my previous pokemon Rp the leveling system just proved a hassle and I think that it?d be best unused, because if, for instance, Scott went to all of the regions then he would have level 100 pokemon by the Orange Islands, and to avoid this I would like to not use the leveling system, thanks you. IC: Scott looked in the direction of Oak?s lab. As if my some sort of magic he felt that newcomers had come to the town, and they were quite powerful at that. He arose from his patch of grass that now had his body imprint on it. He walked lazily up the path to Oak?s lab. He wondered what pokemon he would chose, and if it mattered. As he approached the lab and opened the door and stepped in as if he owned the place, an aid walked up to him. ? Excuse me sir are you looking for Oak?? he asked ? Well it is the time that he told me to come so I came to get my Pokemon and leave, is ready to see me now?? asked Scott ready to try this new ?fade? that was going around. ? Yes this way sir? said the aid escorting him to the room that Rorohiko and Rin and Oak were sitting talking pleasantly. ? Hello Scott, great scott look at the time, its time to get your pokemon isn?t it.? Said Oak standing up to shake Scott?s hand, which he did not shake. ? Yes it would be time wouldn?t it? Scott looked around ? where are they? ? Well you see, there are more trainers to be on their way here, so would you wait around for a while? said Oak pulling out a chair. ? More waiting great? Scott sat down. And leaned back on his chair and looked at the wall behind him. ? Hey aren?t you the one how who that pokemon card tournament?? asked Rin trying to make small talk with the newest member of the group. ?Yep, that was an easy victory for me? replied Scott not looking at the person he was talking to. ? Well you know that the world of Pokemon is much bigger than a card game, and much more difficult? said Rorohiko. ? Well you know, the game is based on the real world? said Scott still leaning back in his chair staring at the wall. ? You could teach me how to play some time then okay? said Rin ? No, I find no interest in those little playing cards any more, it got boring fast, and I would rather have you learn how to play from the rule book like I did? Scott put his chair on all fours and looked at Rin ?Any way why would I teach you, I could rather sleep or something more interesting.? Rin looked away from Scott?s blue eyes and looked at the floor.
You Don't Care
O.O.C.: Thank GOD! I was going to say something about the level thing (it's nothing like the TV show), but I'm glad someone who agrees said so first. One other thing, Sakurasuka. I like what you did with my character, but one thing. He wouldn't have been so surprised at the book about his pokemon (the accuracy). Everything else is good. However, take out "Funny, I was about to say the same thing." "Please!" Jared was furiously rubbing his red hair with both hands. He was frustrated with the girl's persistance. He calmed down and closed his eyes in thought. "You want it that bad?" "YES! Anything, great one." Jared popped a vessel. "First stop calling me that," he frustrated. "Then what should I address you as?" He remained silent as he walked to her and looked deep into her eyes. "You must perform an act of loyalty." The look in his eyes were hollow, portraying a scary look. "Anything!" Jared turned toward the path that led to Pallet town. "There are new trainers coming this way today. You must challenge them." Karia looked at him dissapointed and unsatisfied. "Fight a bunch of fresh newbies?" she scoffed. "That's a little low." Jared gave her a smile. "There are a few conditions, however. You must challenge them as a three on one match." Her mood changed. This sounded more interesting. "One other thing," he said as she gave him another puzzled look. "You must use your Venonat. And it cannot move. Not one inch!" Karia was not too hapy about that. "What?! How is Plum going protect itself?! I can't win without moving!" "That's not what I intended," Jared smiled as he walked away. "Those are my terms. And if you fail?..Well..Let's just say I don't want worthless trainers praying on my heels." He dissapeared over the rolling hills, waving his left hand in farewell. "But..I can't betray my pokemon like that. It'll get hurt."
sakurasuka
((OOC: okey doke. Sorry 'bout that ^^' *Changed* Oh, and sorry this post is gonna be somewhat short, I'm pressed for time...)) What the heck is this guy THINKING? Karia used a potion on Plum and set her down. And what good would it do me to take down newbie trainers? "Here they come. I leave them to you. Remember our deal." Jared smirked. "But... WHY? What good does that do ANYONE???" Karia shook her head. "Hmm?" Jared's smirk turned to a frown. "You want my training, do you not?" She stood up strait and muttered "Yes sir, I do." and bowed her head. She's calling me 'Sir' now? This girl is so wierd... Jared just shook his head and sighed. "Omandaru, was it?" "Omandaru. Karia Omandaru." "Omandaru? Where have I heard that name before? "My brother, probably." Karia scoffed. "Kyomaru Omandaru. He won second place in every league tornament from every reagion, forfieting in the last round every time. Noone knows why he did that. He's pretty famous now, I'd imagine, probably one of the strongest trianers in the world. He could beat you and two seconds flat with just one Poke'mon against all of yours." Karia then took off her hat and two long poytails shimmered down her sides. She threw her hat on the ground on top her her black book-bag. "Two seconds, huh?" He chuckled. He would surely enjoy the challenge. "Well... Maybe." Karia just smiled. "Anyway, I'm ready. Bring on the newbies!" GuyYouMetOnline
Oak turned back to Rorohiko. "As I was saying, I'm wondering if you would be willing to accompany this most recent group of new Trainers." "Why?" "There are several reasons, not the least of which is that having experienced trainers around is helpful for new trainers. It's always good to have someone who knows what he's doing to help the new ones figure out what to do. i do have other reasons, though." Professor Oak ran through the list of reasons. "Will you do it?" he asked. "Let me get this straight," Rorohiko said. "You want me to accompany new trainers. Surely you're aware of the danger my presence would put them it. There are people trying to kill me. I don't think that's something new Trainers should have to deal with." "They aren't after the others. It's you they want. Won't they just ignore the others?' Rorohiko shook his head. "It's far more likely that they'll see the others as unknowing allies of Satan and try to convert them. But whatever. I'll go with the newbies. Now, I think they're waiting on you."
Wavemaster Tsuka
Tsuka looked toward Scott, and decided to try to get to know him better. "Hello..." Tsuka said, looking at Scott. Scott shot the boy a disturbing glare. "What do you want?" Scott replied. "Um... what Pokemon do you like" Tsuka asked, just trying to make conversation. "Um... any Pokemon would be fine. The Pokemon does not matter. I'll take whatever is left." He paused. "It's the trainer that matters, not the Pokemon." "Are you sure? I heard that certain species of Pokemon were stronger than others..." "When I battle, the type and species doesn't matter. As long as I enjoy myself, and win of course, then the type has no effect. It's in my blood. I have seven Pokemon masters in my family's blood line... Why do you care so much?" "I just wanted to get to know you better. You want to be a Pokemon master, right? That means we'd at least be traveling together for a little while." "Hrm...I guess. Just stay out of my way."
alchemist2120
Kite opened the door to the lab an ran in. Almost running into a trainer by the door." I am soo sorry. I must start looking where I am going." He gave the other trainer a small bow then looks at oak."Am i too late? I had to stop and tend to a hungry Doduo. It looked awfully skinny and hungry." Oak turned and gave him a smile."Tell me Kite. How is your father doing now that he has retired? Good i hope." "Well I can tell that he wants to continue to breed but he doesn't want to while i am away.He is a little sad but he cheers up when a stray pokemon shows up on our doorstep." Oak nodded then turned to the other trianers and started to talk to them. Kite walked over to a windo and looked out at the fields that housed multiple types of pokemon. "Wow. There are so many in the world. Wonder why so little is known." He watched a Dodrio run past the window chaseing a Butterfree. Kite let out a sigh and then turned to the tank in the lab."Thats a big Krabby and Staryu. Wonder whose it is?" Oak came over an stood next to him looking into the tank."Its a trainer's that has been traveling for seven years. Those pokemon are so strong he can't controll them anymore. He sent them here so he could become stronger on his own and then try and tame them." "Hey Profesor? When is this thing going to get started? I can't wait to see all of the pokemon that we can chose from." Oak looked down at Kite,"there are only three to choose from. So Whomever choses first gets the only one of that kind." Kite nodded as he took a seat next to another trianer."Umm...hello. My name is Kite. Whats yours?" The other trianer looked at him and smilled,"Its Rin." She wispered at him,"Do you know where a map is? Thats all I really wanted but Oak wants me to get a novice trainer and help him learn stuff." Kite gave a little laugh,"I dont even know if the Prof. has a map. I think he knows the countryside by heart. I know that my dad does, and hes just a breeder." Rin sighed."Cheer up Rin. I'm sure somebody has a spare. If not I think we can get one from my dad." He saw that she brightened up a little bit but still seemed a little comfused on the situation. Brooklyn
The moment of truth arrived; Oak got up from the table and walked over to a strange metal podium with a glass sphere over it. ? Now Scott, Tsuka, Kite I want to be very clear on thins subject. I trust you both not to use pokemon for evil, and to trust and love your pokemon with all your heart. This seemed to get Scott?s attention he looked up at Oak and looked at him apprehensively. Tsuka looked up as well ready to receive his first pokemon. Oak opened the sphere to reveal three pokeballs. One by one he picked them up to reveal three pokemon. Bulbasuar, Charmander, and Squirtle. ? Now pick one and let your pokemon adventure begin.? Said Oak. Tsuka was quick about his choice and picked up the plant pokemon Bulbasuar and set it on the table and went over to the podium and got its pokeball. ? He turned to Scott ? I hope I didn?t choose the one that you wanted, but you shouldn?t care you said that it did not matter? Tsuka sat back down and began to play with his new partner. ? Now Scott which one will you choose? said Oak looking down at the the two remaining pokemon Kite?s turn and he too was quick about his as well as he choose the Charmander. He then began to play with it as well. Scott looked at the last pokemon for a while for almost five minuets he sat there staring at the water pokemon. Eventually Squirtle looked at Scott right in the eye and his red eyes meet Scott?s blue ones. ? This Squirtle is the pokemon that I choose.? Scott got up and returned Squirtle to its pokeball and began to walkout of the lab but Oaks voice stopped him. ? Here you go Tsuka, and you too Kite this is a pokedex. It?s an electric encyclopedia. I t has information on all of the pokemon that you will ever see, well almost all of them, Scott I have one for you, if you want it.? Scott went back to the aging professor and took the pokedex from him. With out words turned to leave again. Rin and Rorohiko got up and pushed their chairs in and got ready to follow the new trainers. Tsuka shook Oak?s hand and also began his depart. ? Oh one more thing. You may only have six pokemon with you at a time, all the rest will be sent to my laboratory automatically. Oh Rorohiko? the Professor paused, sneezed and continued ? Give Tsuka, Kite and Scott 5 pokeballs each please and you and Rin help them and teach them how to battle and catch pokemon and such, Good bye? The ?team? of five set out on their new quest to become pokemon masters.
You Don't Care
This girl truly was amazing. Hiding her emotions despite the danger her pokemon will be in. She was determined. He'll give her that much. "That book," Jared started. "Give it to me." "Why do you want it?" "Just hand it over." Karia handed him the book with his records and he started to read it. "Interesting. Well, I'll be keeping this from now on." He put the book into his vest pocket and a smile appeared onto his face. "Wait! You can't keep that!" Karia made a move to grab it back, but Jared turned away to protect it from her. "From now on, you must focus on your own pokemon and your own training. Not the details of others. You have the skill for that already." They both were silent. Minutes later, Jared reached for his belt to grab his pokedoex. It was black and obviously custom made. This is a pokedex that is far superior to any normal one. He opened it and looked on the map. "They will be here any time now." O.O.C.: Sorry for my behavior before. I finally edited my post and we are waiting for the trainers from Pallet.
sakurasuka
((OOC: There go. Changed again. Sorry and all, maybe it'd be best if I just left anyway, this is kinda like the last Pokemon RPG that Brookline/eclips started, and I don't have much fun because I try to interact and I HAVE NO IDEA HOW ANYONE IS LIKE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO PERSONALLITY REQUIREMENT. Anyway, I apologize, you can omit anything I said if you so wish, it just isn't very fun for me if my character is all alone, and your person seemed the funnest to be around. Xy GGu, I hope you won't have any kind of grudge on me in any near/far future because I really don't like people hating/disliking me on the internet or IRL. If there is anything else I can do, please tell me, I'm really not a horrible person and I'm not trying to... Erm... Tick you off or make your person act like an asshole. Whatever. Later.))
Brooklyn
OOC: I have posted an underground thread now as you asked for. I would like people to post in it so that we may better this role play. I assume that I have nothing to say as I was the last one to post in character I don?t believe that I?ll post again, but let some one else do that, so that I?m not over posting.
GuyYouMetOnline
OOC: Actually, Xy GGu, I've been amazed by how well sakurasuka seems to have your character down. You made him an asshole yourself. -------------------------------- After they had left Oak's lab, Rorohiko handed out the Pokeballs. "These are Pokeballs," he explained. "You use them to catch Pokemon." "I know that already," Scott snapped. "Don't wste my time with things I already know." Rorohiko turned to face Scott. "I'm going to explain everything I think any of you might need to know. I don't give a shit about wether or not you know it, Scott. I'm going to say it anyways. You should pay attention. you might learn something." "I heard Professor Oak call you a researcher," Scott replied. "What makes you think you know anything about training and battleing that I don't?" Rorohiko couldn't help laughing at that one. "You have no idea what I've been through," he told Scott. "I could run down the list, but I don't want to take the time to do that. Instead, I'll just say that in addition to my own experiances, my sister taught me a lot. You might have heard of her. Her name is Katrina Alkarlo. She was Pokemon Leaugh Champion two years ago, and she's the favorite for this year's tournament." Scott didn't have a reply to that one. Rorohiko turned to face the others. "Let's get going, shall we?" --------------------------------- OOC: Hope I got your character right, Brookline. If not, tell me and I'll edit. Kitty
As Rorohiko put Scott in his place, Rin smiled. He was being a jerk, and he definately deserved it. But when the group was about to leave, she realized something. "I still haven't gotten a map!" she shouted. The others turned and stared at her. "What? That's what I was in there for," she sighed, pointing back at the lab. "I've got a spare," Rorohiko held out a roll of paper after rummaging in his pack for a bit. "Oh! Thanks," she smiled, happily taking it from his outstretched hand. "Now can we go?" Scott moaned, rolling his eyes. For this, he recieved a whap on the head with Rin's new map. "Don't be a whiner," she ordered, glaring at him. "And yes. We may go," she added quickly, stuffing her map into her bag. Passing through Pallet Town quickly, at the edge of Route 2, all the young trainers got a glimpse at a wild pokemon. "Wow.. What's that one?" Tsuka wondered, pulling out his pokedex as the other two did. "Just a Pidgey," Rorohiko sighed in a tired fashion. "Wanna try and catch it?" Rin smiled to the boy beside her, encouraging him to give it a shot. "How? Just throw the ball at it?" Tsuka asked her after hearing the pokedex's description of the wild pokemon. "You have to weaken it first. Go ahead. Use Bulbasaur to do it." Giving him a few instructions, Rin and the others watched readily to see if Tsuka could catch his first wild pokemon. -- OOC: Hope you don't mind the smack on the head, Brookline. ^_^;; Will edit if need be.
Wavemaster Tsuka
Hesitantly, Tsuka threw the Pokeball from his belt. Out came the Bulbasaur, looking happy to be outside. "Bulba-saur!" it said enthusiastically, and seeing the Pidgey, readied for battle. "Erm...so what attacks would he have?" Tsuka thought aloud, and without waiting for an answer, yelled "Solar Beam attack!" What he got wasn't quite a solar beam. It was more like a blank stare from Bulbasaur and a stiffled laugh from Scott. "Try a tackle." Rin replied encouragingly. "Bulbasaur, tackle that Pidgey!" Tsuka tried again. The Bulbasaur hopped onto the Pidgey, startling it. "Ok...How about another tackle?" But before the next move could go through, the Pidgey countered by blowing up a small wind. Not startling by any means, but enough to blow Tsuka's Pokemon back. "Are you ok?" Tsuka asked. "He should be fine." Rin replied, still being patient with the newbie "The Pokemon should be ready to catch now. They are weak here, after all." "Oh...ok" Tsuka threw one of his Pokeballs, and after only two shakes, the Pidgey was his!
Brooklyn
Scott looking on at Tsuka?s accomplishment, became annoyed with the cheers of happiness that he caught his first pokemon, he released Squirtle and quickly defeated two Pidgey and a Mankey. As Scott sat down to rest himself a bit he ordered Squirtle to keep on battling and such. ? Scott that is not how you train pokemon!!? said Rin Out of all people why do I have to help this guy she thought. ? Her how ?bout this, I train the way I want and you leave me alone? ? Fine I wont have to here your stupid voice? ? Then in the end we get what we want? ? Fine with me!!!? Rin began to glare at Scott as he sat under a tree and his pokemon battled very hard, to impress it?s new trainer. ? Gust Attack now? tsuka?s voice completely broke the tense mode. ? Good job Tsuka? said Kite as he defeated a mankey. ?Thanks? Suddenly Scott jumped up returned Squirtle and ran off. ? What?s his problem? asked Rorohiko. Tsuka returned his pokemon and chased after him ? come on lets go? ? But he is so mean sad Kite? following him. ?He could be in trouble? said Tsuka When they reached the seen of were Scott was he was in a battle with another trainer. Squirtle attack with tackle now. The turtle pokemon responded with all its might knocking the enemy Weedle out. ? Wow your strong man. Whats your name.? Asked the young trainer that was just beaten. ? The one who owned you? Scott replied and walked away to train some more. ? What a mean little bas-? but Rin did not finish. ? Kite , maybe you should try that guy out? said Rorohiko. ? Nah man sorry I have to go train even harder before I try again.? He said and walked off. Bubble finish them off. Scott was in yet another battle with two wild Nidoran, one male and one female. The foam from Squirtle ?s mouth engulfed them, suffocating them. The two pokemon hit the ground. Tackle. That was it for the poor Nidoran. The hit was hard and you could hear bones break. Then Scoot throw two pokeballs with complete accuracy and hit them both on the head. He had then heard the ping noise telling him that he had caught his first pokemon. ? WOW? said Kite in amazement, ? that was awesome could you teach me how to do that? ? No? Scott said in a lazy voice and went and picked up his pokeballs ? I?m headed for the center to heal my pokemon, to take a nap now, or maybe eat something. Go explore the city or something kid.? ? But I want to catch a pokemon too.? Said Kite ? Don?t worry I?ll help you out? said Rin making dirty gestures behind Scott?s back as he walked away from the group to the pokemon center. You Don't Care
Jared paced back and forth. The new trainers were sure taking a long time. He looked at his pokedex again and saw that they were taking their time. "Follow me," he ordered to Karia while walking toward Pallet. "Uh. Okay." Jared walked with his arms behind his head and she followed behind, carrying Plum. "You know what? I noticed that your pokemon is discolored," Jared said as he turned slightly to make eye contact. "Oh, yes. Ain't it cool? Unlike your ivysaur." Jared turned away with his face turning red and tense. 'God she's a pest.' In the distance, he could see a bunch of kids running around and one of them was battling two nidoran. The kid's tactics were violent, but when he caught the two pokemon, his accuracy of throwing the pokeballs were amazing. Even for a beginner. "Are they the newbies?" Karia asked impatiently. "They sure are. Well, time to prove yourself. Challenge them and show me you aren't worthless, Omandaru." They continued their approach to her first task.
Kitty
"What an annoying little brat," Rin thought quietly to herself, staring after Scott. "Thinks he's so great," she grumbled. He was already on her bad side, one which she rarely had, anyway. As Kite battled a Mankey, Rin noticed two other trainers down the path. They were looking intently at Scott, who was nearing Viridian. She thought a moment about going to help him since she new his Squirtle wouldn't be able to take many more battles, but shrugged it off. "Screw him. He can be a jerk without us," she thought angrily. "Rin, right?" "Huh?" She spun around to see Rorohiko. He was standing impatiently, growing tired of watching the new trainers. "Scott's being marked." "Marked? Oh," Rin took a moment to understand, but got the general gist of it. "Yeah. Think we should steer clear of them?" "Probably. These two probably wouldn't stand a chance, and I don't really care about that stuck up pain in the ass," Rorohiko glared in Scott's direction. "I know what you mean," Rin sighed. If she had to travel with Scott anymore, she'd probably end up trying to kill him. "Let's go, then," he said, beginning down the path. "Kite, Tsuka, we're going," Rin called, following off after Rorohiko. The two boys rushed behind their party members, and the four walked slowly around where the two ambushing trainers awaited. They were nearly to Viridian when they heard Scott's voice. "That idiot," Rorohiko and Rin sighed in unison. They glanced over towards the source of the voice to see Scott talking with the other boy, and the girl stood patiently behind him. "Should we?" Rin turned to her experienced companion. "Might as well." "Alright. You two, I suggest you try not to get in a fight with either of those trainers over there. They look like they're trying to pick on newbies," Rin ordered, strolling off. The two nodded, and slowly walked after her and Rorohiko. -- OOC: Hope I got your characters right. ^_^;;
alchemist2120
Kite turned and saw some grass over to the side."Umm I'll catch up to ya'll in a minute. My dad once told me that every pokemon start off weak but can grow if then need to depending on how the trainer wants. I kinda want to practice a little ...so I'm gonna stop over there." Kite walked over to the grass and let his charmander out,"Yo Nuke. Come one out and bask a little." Then red little pokemon came out in a bright light and stared up at the sun as a caterpie stopped and looked at it."Hey, nuke. Whatddo ya saw? Ya wana get him?" Nuke nooded cheerefully as he starterd stairing the caterpie down. "Alright. Scratch it!" The little red pokemonm charged it with its claws and scratched it."So I think its time!" He threwa a pokeball as it opened on contact ans then a red light popped up. After about five seconds the light dissapeared and Kite walked over to the ball and picked it up." Alrigh. Nuke lets go!" He ran back over to the others as nuke cheerefully fallowed. "Hey Rin! I got one! Its gonna be a buitiful Butterfree oneday." He looked at his sides and saw many other pokemon playing in the bushes. "Hmmm...If Brock's the first gym leader than Imay need a few that fair good agianst him. But who?" He looked at Tsuka."Whats your plans for Brock?"
