Does anyone else watch PBS?

This channel has really stepped it up, and become half way decent television. For the first time in my life I watched PBS for more then 30 seconds. This channel now has it all.

This channel now has more to offer kids, then just Arthur and Seasame Street, I was amazed by some of the new children shows like Cyber Chase, Liberty's Kids, and the new but classic Thomas the Train. Still there are crap shows like Boobah(?) and the ever annoying Teletubies. They have also canceled the great Zoom and I'm still crying from when they cancled Wishbone.

They also have excelled in what they are normally good at, educational television. Nature is still my favorite creature show, but it has only gotten better. Now feel a actual connection with the aniaml, and have many times thought of being a vegatarian(?). It now has National Geographic with the every once and the while exclusives. I now learn, but I am also entertained at the same time.

The overall entertainment is just down right better. Exxon Mobile Materpiece Theater has finally moved out of those boring old time British novels and have move at least to the 20th century. Plus they are giving the food channel a run for its money. The concerts are awesome and I just watch my parents dance and have fun.

The one problem is those lame, stupid, dry, British comedies. Sure I can watch Chef, but some of the others just suck.

Well, I think PBS has been decent all along. They've certainly modernized more and gotten better with their programming overall, but I think there were always some good shows on there. They were just harder to find.

I find myself watching it a lot lately. A few times I put our local PBS station on and they were playing full, uncut films. It was mostly surprising since it was a comedy that really didn't offer any educational value. I guess it's more in line with their block of British shows... not all of them are comedies, but I don't like most of them either. There's a few good ones.

I like Arthur lol.

I've been watching PBS all my life. I didn't have cable when I grew up so I pretty much stuck to channel 2. I myself like the British and Irish shows. One of my favorites was called [b]Bally Kiss Angel[/b]. I was also a big fan of [b]Globe Trekker[/b]. They have some pretty spiffy documentaries, they do a really good job of importing foreign shows and movies. It's underrated, PBS has always been cool.[/size]

PBS sucks TV sucks untill 2 or 3 am when they play the good suff or AS is allwas good too

[COLOR=Blue]PBS used to have very silly English comides, like "Are you being served?" and "Faulty Towers." And one of the greatest shows EVER made by man "MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS!" That show was funny as Hell, and will always will be. It's funnier than SNL,(Well these days. SLN isn't funny anymore. Neither are the Simpsons. It's sad.The last time I watched a new episode of The Simpsons, it was HORRIBLE.) I saw Eric Idle live in Boston part of "Eric Idle exsploits Monty Python". It was daft, and silly. Filled with songs (a couple were ones that were brand new.) skits, stupidity, and a guest apperance, by God. ("You people are not funny at all! Your almost as useless as Windows '95! And it worked some of the time!" "OF COURSE IT'S A GOOD IDEA! I'M GOD, YOU TWIT!!") Lol. I miss Monty Python. Bring it back PBS!
