Alex and Jace rode to the airport in a cab with their luggage in the boot. Alex looked out the window. It was a clear sunny day. He yawned slightly. He did get up at the crack of dawn to get ready, only because he knew Jace would make them late, which he already had.

Memories of the previous night kept interfering his mind-track. Alex shook himself mentally, his silvery-blue hair slightly moving side to side.

" Something wrong Alex?" Jace asked.
" I'm all right," Alex said, turning to smile at Jace, but he found he couldn't, not like he used to anyway. " I'm just excited about this vacation. We've never been out of the city, let alone the country."
" Very true Princey-boy. I wonder if any of the teachers will be coming with us," Jace said, putting his hands behind his head.
Alex laughed. " Are you wanting Ms Nevada to accompany us?" For the first time in his life, Alex flt a slight twinge of jealousy pass through his heart.
" It could be fun. I could steal her underwear while she's in the shower." Jace chuckled to himself as he thought of all the nasty things he could do.
" Now now Jace-chan, that's not nice. I'll have to fight you again if that's the case," Alex said, smiling at him.
Jace groaned. " Don't remind me Princey-boy."

Soon, they arrived at the airport. Alex paid the cabbie with a tip and he and Jace slung their luggage over their backs and walked to the designated area where they were supposed to meet. Upon arrival, they saw everyone there.

" At least everyone is here," Alex said, half relieved that they were the last.
" Ah, so the last two arrive," came the voice of the Principal from behind them. The two boys jumped slightly. Mr Takeshi Yami was sort of a creepy guy, plus a pervert to most of the girls in Jace and Alex's grade.
" Yes sir," Alex said.
" We're boarding in a few minutes. You two are lucky you didn't miss the flight," Mr Yami said.
" We'de get there anyway," Jace said, looking at the teachers scattered around the group. To his delight, Miss Nevada was amongst them.

" So, lets get on the plane, Jace-chan," Alex said, breaking Jace out of his nasty thoughts.
" Ok ok ok."

The two carried on their on-board luggage and took their seats next to each other on the small private jet. The whole of their grade was on the plane, all happily talking to one another.

" Alex! I didn't think you'd be here!" Zeph said from the back.
Alex smiled. " I wouldn't miss this for the world. This will be great fun!"
The grade started to sing '99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall' while the plane was being taxied to the runway. Alex and Jace buckled themselves in.

The jet took off. The acceleration was incredible. Everyone in the plane was pushed back into their seats. Soon they were in the air, gliding in the air like birds. Everyone was awestruck by the view out of the plane. The seatbelt sign went off and people started to move around the plane, talking to each other.

---------------------------------------------

The flight took about two hours. By the end of it, the plane was starting to experience some minor turbulence. Everyone was told by the pilot to take their seats and buckle up. The plane soon landed at a small airport. Although the airport was small, it was packed with tourists. The day was sunny. It was early morning in their timezone. The students and teachers disembarked from the plane with farewells from the plane's crew. The group moved out to where a bus was waiting for them. Everyone boarded and they began their trip towards the boats that would take them to the islands.

---------------------------------------------

The bus stopped after an hour of driving. By this time, most of the students were a little weary from sitting down for three hours straight with nothing to do. Alex stepped out. He could smell the salt in the air. The sounds of waves crashing against the moorings echoed through the air.

" It's nice here," he said. Jace jumped down from the last step from the bus.
" Yeah, it's all right. It's hard to know that you're in a different country."
" True."

The teachers led the weary students over to three boats. They divided the group into half. Alex was with Kyo, Amy, Aka, Drew and Kina. Jace was with Zeph, Ran, Rin, Micky and Kaela. The two groups went onto separate boats while the teachers also boarded a separate boat. And they were off.

The boats scooted across the water as if it was ice. Alex sat at the side, watching the water scoot underneath them. Then he noticed that the sea was getting rougher and rougher. He looked upwards and saw dark clouds gather over them.

" Oh no."

Waves crashed against the boat. The captains on the boats started to tell the students and teachers so sit tight. The seas became rough and soon the fleet of three started to drift apart. Rain started to pour down. Alex ushered everyone under the eveings. He looked around and couldn't see the other boats. Lightning streaked the sky. Thunder rumbled.

" This isn't good."

A giant wave suddenly crashed over the boat and made it capsize. Alex's whole world spun as he found himself underwater. He looked around in the greyish water. He could see the others swimming under the water, grabbing their luggage from sinking. Alex swam over to his and grabbed it. He surfaced, gasping for breath. The wound in his back stung from the saltwater. An island appeared out of the greyness. Swimming over to it, he saw most of his group there. All except Kina.

" KINA!"

Alex realised that she couldn't swim very well with a sore leg. Diving back into the water, he swam furiously over to the sinking boat. He saw Kina clinging for dear life to a piece of driftwood.

" Kina! I'm coming!" Alex yelled. As soon as he was over there, he told her to put her arms around his neck as he swam back to the island. He dragged himself up the beach. Kyo and Drew helped Kina from Alex's back as Alex coughed up all the seawater he managed to swallow in his rescue effort. Amy and Aka helped Alex to his feet. The rain continued to pour down. They made their way over to a small place in the undergrowth that covered from the rain.

Amy and Aka helped Alex sit down as he breathed heavily.

" We.... we need to make a fire to dry off some blankets for everyone. There... there is a survival kit in everyone's luggage. We'll need them to make a fire."

Alex looked into th grey landscape around them. I hope the other are ok.

Amy sat on the beach by her self. She knew that her gut feeling was going to come true, it never failed. She hummed a small tune to herself softly rocking back and forth. She felt the presence of someone sit down next to her, it was Drew. He put an arm around her comforting her.

?Everything is gone?my violin, my only picture of Korea?everything??
?I know it?s not your violin, but I found this.? Drew handed her a narrow black case she looked at it curiously wondering what was in it. ?Well go on! Open it!? Drew was eager to see her response.

She slowly unlocked the two hatches and as she unfolded it there lay in three pieces, a flute. She quickly put it together and marveled at it?s shine. ?How beautiful? thank you Drew!? she gave him a quick hug.

?Found it just lying over there, nothing much. Well we are ordered to get some stuff we will need for ourselves and the group.? Drew got up offering her a hand. ?Who is on this island anyways??

?Um? Kina, Alex, Kyo-? he words after that were blocked out. The boy she liked was on the same island as she was. She quickly got up with her flute and ran down the beach through the rain and toward the other students on the island.

?Heyy!? she yelled waving her hand. A few heads turned toward her. As she got there she looked around. They had managed to gather some wood, canteens, toothbrushes, towels, some tatami mats, and pillows. The blankets were held of the small fire that was going on.

Amy sat across from Kyo who looked the other way. His hair was wet, making it droop over his eyes. Amy sighed and also looked away, she had so many feelings for Kyo she couldn?t manage them. They seemed to run haywire; it was worse than her first crush on a guy named Arnold back in Korea.

Maybe Kyo was going through the same thing. Whatever it was they needed a little time away from each other, maybe a day or so would calm them down for a minute. Amy took out a small notebook that some how manages to stay in her skirt pocket. She wrote something quick in Korean in her notebook.

?I toss in turn at night because I can?t stop thinking about you.?- Amy Lee

OOC: Well longest post I've had in this RPG. Oh and Drew I hope you don't mind we do a little cousin bonding eh?

Amy had run off to see the others after Drew gave her the flute he had found. He was happy that she liked the present. However, much like Alex, Drew's wounds were throbbing with a dull pain because of the saltwater. He was able to keep a straight look about himself, never showing a hint of pain.

But when Amy had left, Drew sat there, soaking wet with all of his clothes still on. He pulled up his left sleeve and sighed at the soggy bandage that was slipping off. The wound was open again and blood was flowing down his arm. "It's a good thing Amy didn't see this."

Drew pulled his sleeve back down, he was exhausted and sore for the day's events. He laid back slowly and closed his eyes. A few moments later, he heard footsteps coming closer toward him. He looked over to see Kyo, and sat right back up. "Hey man, how you feeling?"
"I'm alright, you?" Drew asked.
"I'm okay, but...I came over here to say thanks."
"For what?" Drew had a puzzled look on his face.
"Yesterday." Kyo replied, brushing the wet strands of hair from his face. "You got me out of the fire."
"Oh...it was nothing. We're friends, and even if we weren't, I still would have gone in there to get you." Drew smiled.
"Yeah." Kyo replied. "But still, thanks anyway, man."
"No problem." Drew nodded.
"So, you gonna sit here by yourself?" Kyo asked jokingly.
Drew looked down at his arm, and noticed that the blood was seeping through his sweatshirt. "No, I'll go with you."
"Alright, let's go then."
"Yeah." Drew got up and walked alongside Kyo toward the others. Alex was making sure that everyone was okay, especially Kina. The three of them had helped to get Kina out of the water.
"How are you feeling, Drew?" Alex asked.
"Fine." Drew lied and walked over to his suitcase.

Micky was lying on soft, smooth sand and he was wet. He coughed up water and looked around. It was a blurry sight but everything became clear.

Ahhh man....what happened?

He tried to remember what had happened.

Oh yeah, the crash...

He looked around to find Drew and Amy but there were no sign of them. He saw a few classmates but that was it. He panicked a bit and searched around.

Oh, where are you guys?

Blue, green, bright light, swam in front of his eyes. And then slammed sharply into focus. Ken pulled himself up slowly. His head felt heavy and throbbed as he moved. Crash. They had crashed. Then the pain hit him again

?Aw man, my head??

Ken placed a hand at the side of his skull. He pulled it away. Blood. Not much, but some. He turned to look. He had hit it on a rock that stuck up from the beach. Slowly, he tried to stand, pulling himself up. He looked over and saw Aka running toward him.

?KEN!? she dove toward him, hugging him hard around the middle

?Uf!? he wrapped an arm around her and tried to balance ?Aka, help me stand.? She looked at him and nodded, like she wasn?t exactly sure why he needed help. She glanced down at the rock and saw the blood ?My god Ken??

?I?m fine, just a little dizzy.? She linked her arm underneath his shoulders and Ken could stand up straight. He looked around. He saw the others grabbing their things from the water, covering up with blankets. He turned to look where he had hit his head. Just behind the rock were a large pile of fallen tree branches leading into the trees. Aka turned too, then she laughed.

?Looks like you found some fire wood. Knew that head of yours was good for something.?

He gave her a sarcastic look and they collected some of the wood, as much as they could with Aka still supporting him, and made their way slowly toward the others.

Jace sat up suddenly, gasping for breath, water spuing from his lips. His hands dug into the soft sand as rain poured down on his face. He finally managed to open his eyes and peer out across the chaotic water. He rushed to his feet as he looked around. Some kid sat at the water's edge, two chicks, and Zephan.

"Any one else around?" Jace shouted above the roar of the rain.

"No." Zeph replied.

Jace looked around, searching for some cover from the storm. The island didn't look too big, but it was enough to seperate the class.

"There's a cave over there." Jace pointed to the distance. "Gather your stuff and head into there. Should provide some shelter from the storm. Zeph you come with me and try to find some fire wood that's not soaked."

OOC: Sorry so short and it took me so long.

O.C.C: Very sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been very busy with class again.

I.C.: When Ran awoke on the island he seen no one was around. It clearly was not ending up a good day for him. He looked around quickly, but didn't see anyone right around him. It was bad enough that he had been put in Jace group, but now he maybe suck on the island with him.

He had sat on the beach for a while was the waves crashed against the shore. Ran wasn't sure if he wanted to get on a boat again after what had just happened. "I should get inot some cover before I catch to bad of a cold." He noticed a cave near him, that would do some good for some shelter.

Ran had been only in there for a few minutes when he heard voices began to echo through the cave. "Great just my luck to go insane already." As the voice got closer he recognized them, as some of his classmates. As the figures came closer he seen that is was Rin, Micky and Keala. "Glad to see you made it." Ran gave a wave. "Did you see Jace and Zeph?" Sinc ehtey wher ein the same grooup he was sure they would end up in about the same area.

"Yeah. The two are with us. They are going to gather some dry fire wood." Rin said.

"Glad to see that you guys made it out okay though. I was worried." Footsteps could be heard coming into the cave.

"We found some, but not much." Jace and Zeph wandered into the cave with a handful of wood. "Hey Ran good to see that you made." Zeph said setting down the wood.

"Hopefully we will be resuced soon." Ran tried to make a joke out of it. wasn't working though.

"We should go through our bags to see what we have that can be usefully to use." Jace began building a fire with a lighter he had.

Drew and Kyo walked over towards Alex, Kina, and Amy. Aka had disapeared down the beach to find her brother, Ken. "Ah! Kyo, you're bleeding!" exclaimed Amy in a scared tone that caught Kyo off guard.

Kyo reached up and touched his forehead and noticed fresh blood on his hand. His head wound must have reopened in the ocean without him relizing, he thought to himself. "Uh, it's no big deal" he rerplied, quickly turning to face the other way. This is just great, why do I have to be on the same island as her?

Just then, Ken and Aka walked up carrying some firewood. "Good work you guys" praised Alex.

Kyo stared out at the ocean How the hell are we going to get out of here? he wondered. He turned part way back towards the others, "We still need to find some shelter," he reminded his classmates.

Alex looked around the island. The rain stopped completely now. The clouds began to break and a small amount of sunlight was let through, warming the group up.

" We still need to find shelter," Kyo reminded them. Alex looked at him, his head bleeding.

" Right." Alex stood. He instructed Ken to go find some shelter along with Drew. The two hurried off. Midday was passing. Alex opened his survival kit and took out a bandage. He approached Kyo who looked at him with a strange look on his face.

Alex smiled. " Don't worry. I'm just going to bandage you up. Don't look at me with that expression."

Kyo sighed and let Alex fix him up. " Sometimes Alex, I really think you're weird."

Alex froze. " You think so?"

" Yeah. Well for a guy, you're really caring and considerate, especially around Jace. You're always helpful and looking out for everyone."

" And you think that's weird?"

" Well, sorta..."

Alex finished with the bandage without another word and went back to his place to fix up his own wound. It still stung from the saltwater. It was difficult to reach around his back to dress the wound, but it was impossible to patch it up by himself. He noticed that Kina was looking over at him intently. She looked like she recovered a little. He smiled lightly at her.

" Something wrong Kina?" he asked, faking a happy appearance, like he always had done.
" Well... I was wondering if I could help you out... since you can't reach your back by yourself..." she murmured, blushing red. Alex felt a pain of guilt. He sighed.
" All right but after we get to the new shelter."
" Ok."

In a few moments, Drew and Ken returned to tell the others they found some sort of abandoned shack on the other side of the island. Aka spoke up and mentioned that the island mustn't be very big if that's the case. Everyone else agreed and began the trek to the shack.

--------------------------------

Fumbling through the tropical growth, Alex looked at everyone who were following Ken and Drew to the shack. Alex was at the back, his luggage slung over his back along with his survival kit.

" I wonder what happened to the teachers..."

After another few minutes the group arrived at the shack. It was bigger than what everyone thought it would be. They walked inside and found that it had some sort of thatched roof that keep out the rain earlier. Setting down their things, everyone claimed a piece of ground as their own and laid out their blankets.

" What a trip..." Alex sighed.
Kyo nodded. " I agree. Talk about eventful. Haven't we had enough for two days?"
Amy smiled at him. Alex smiled to himself. She obviously liked Kyo.

" So what now Alex?" Drew asked. Everyone looked at him.
" Why is everyone looking at me?" he asked, confused. " And why are you asking me what to do?"
" You're the leader," Aka said, lying down on her blanket.
" When was I designated that? I don't remember being asked, Alex replied rather stiffly.
" When you told us to go get firewood," Ken replied.

Alex let out a loud exasperated sigh. He didn't really want to be leader at all, that was Jace's job. He hung his head low.

" Something wrong Alex?" Kina asked, stretching out her hand to him. He batted it away gently.
" No..."

With that he stood and walked outside, alone. Everyone looked at each other. Kina watched Alex disappear along the beach outside.

------------------------------------------------

On the other island...

Jace and Zeph had found some dry wood and started a fire near the entrance of the cave, so as to not fill the cave with smoke. The rain eased off and the sun came out slowly.

" That was lucky..." Jace said as he watched the clouds drift away. The day was starting to get a little hot. He peeled off his blanket and stood outside of the cave, his body sore and stiff all over. The saltwater didn't do him any good either. He turned to the group - Zeph, Ran, Rin, Micky and Kaela.

" Shall we go fishing then?"

OOC:

DC's group: Have fun and go fishing. Get involved with each other and have something happen, it doesn't matter what happens, just someone do something that involves the whole group.

My group: Decide to go fishing to get some food. However, keep Alex out of it. He'll return but at a later time. I'll be introducing a few new 'entities' soon to liven up things.

"How in the world do you plan on going fishing?" Rin asked as soon as Jace pointed towards the shore.

"Well aren't we a bunch of nature nuts." Jace rolled his eyes as he scrunged around in his bag, pulling something out of it as he made his way to some fallen trees. He took out his pocket knew and hacked away at one of the thinner branches, finally pulling it away from the trunk. He carve it into a simple pole attached something to it and walked back over to the group.

"I have more line in my bag if any one else wishes to help catch dinner," Jace called over his shoulder as he wandered towards his bag to see if he had anything to use for bait. "Hmm...nothing. Damn." He grumbled as he wandered back towards the trees.

"I found some worms under this fallen log," Zeph shouted.

The group had gathered a small container and threw some of the worms and dirt into it. It was good enough, now hopefully salt-water fish would eat it.

Everyone had set down their stuff after they had arrived at the old shack. Drew felt a small churning in his stomach and knew immediately that he needed to do something about it. "Hey, I'm going out to find some food." He whispered to Amy.
"How?"
"I don't know...fishing?"
"I see." She nodded.
"See you later." Drew walked back outside, but not before slinging his messenger bag around his shoulder.

--------

Drew sat down at the shore, just barely back enough to avoid the water. He sighed as the waves came crashing slowly nearer toward him. He pulled out some fishing line with a hook on the end if it that he had bought back at the airport, thinking that he might be able to fish for fun at their real destination. He had also conveniently sat down next to a small tree branch that had fallen due to the storm. Drew tied a strong knot around the branch to use it as a pole and whipped it into the water.

He sat back down and pulled his messenger bag beside him and opened it. He pulled out the letter, and finally, he was going to read it. Drew stuck the branch into the ground so that it would stay and ripped open the letter. His eyes moving back and forth quickly.

To my Older Brother,

Things here have been better than before. Mother and Father have actually lightened up on me a bit and I think it's because you went away from them, maybe they're beginning to realize that what they were doing is wrong. I know that it's rather hard to believe, but they do love us. They just have the most heartbreaking way of showing it. I can't wait for you to come home, so please, at least come back to visit. Tell Micky and Amy that I said hello, and maybe I'll come up to visit you guys. You know that our school is having the spring break soon.

Maybe we'll see each other soon.

From your younger brother, Jake.

Drew sighed with relief, he had expected something much worse from his younger brother.
