Dragon Warrior
I dunno if anyone remembers (but I'm sure someone does), but there were those good ole Nintendo toons when I was little like the Mario Brothers show and Zelda (which I actually never saw). Plus, Sonic, even if he's Sega. I'm aware the old Sonic is still being aired, but I haven't seen Mario since I was a tike and I've never seen Zelda. Does anyone know when Mario will come out on DvD, if ever? Same with Zelda. Otherwise, I guess you can discuss the old shows here
Shinmaru
There are actually a few Mario Bros. cartoons on DVD. A quick search on Amazon will show you what's available. Apparently some of the Zelda cartoons might be on DVD, as well, though I've never seen any in person I have fond memories of the different Mario cartoons, though I'm certain that they would not hold up at all in comparisons with other cartoons. The plots were pretty hokey, and the episodes were littered with animation and voice errors. They were very sloppily put together. However, I still like them if only because I don't mind watching silly cartoons every once in a while. Who doesn't love Mario teaming up with a giant bird version of Robin Hood? :D
PWNED
Shin is right, You can find quite a few Mario DVDs and Videos all the time. The videos I remember were the Super Mario Brothers 3 series. They came from a sohow hosted by a former wrestler and both Zelda and Mario were shown. DVDs of that show came out 2 or 3 years ago if I'm correct. Anne
Oh yes I have fond memries of curling up on the coach with a bowl of Lucky charms on a Sat. morning to watch Zelda and Mario cartoons as a child. Oh wait that was this morning. They where pretty bad though, but every now and than you need a good laugh. Yes they are both on dvd right now, they have been out quite some time. Today is also a very important day for Nintendo, for the first ever Nintendo World store was open in New York. Two floors of all Nintendo products. So in celebration of this and not being able to go, (Curse friend who was taking us, but didn't.), we had an all day marathon of watching the cartoons. You just have to laugh at how they wher eput together. Zelda was a bit better on how it was put togther than Mario, but it was still pretty bad, too. Dragon Warrior
I don't remember them sucking at all. I even remember parts of the beginning song where Mario and Luigi were plumbing and then hopped down the bathtub drain. Haha, wow... I really want to experience that show again, crappy or not. But I'm afraid I don't recall this Robin Hood character. I only found one Mario DvD on Amazon called "Super Mario Brothers: King Koopa." And the episodes aren't in order. I want them to release some boxsets someday. But now I'm investigating these Zelda cartoons. I'm incredibly intrigued. EDIT: I also found "Super Mario Brothers: Mario Mania." But I wonder if these are the shows that I remember watching on TNT.
SaiyanPrincessX
I remember waking up early, waking my brother up, and we'd go in the living room and watch those shows for hours, among others. I too never saw the Zelda show however, actually, I'm not sure I saw much of the Mario ones. I do remember both Sonic shows, and Ninja Turtles though. ^_^
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. I recall vaguely a Mario Bros. show on SkyOne in the mornings back years ago, I can remember there was this big fella in the red Mario suit singing on rock stacks at the beginning and end of the show, actually now as I think about it I remember there was a cartoon to it as well. I can't really recall the details I'm afraid, but I remember enjoying it all the same.
Lord Dante
aaah, the old mario bros. show. the animation sucked. the voice acting sucked. the storyline sucked the concept sucked. but you can't help but like them, for no other reason than they remind you of highly pixelated jumpings, 'twas the age of nintendo. And for heavens sake, I remember those two guys dancing and rapping around dressed as the Plumber Bros. Man, now I have to get this on DvD. Memories insist! 2010DigitalBoy
Ive never seen the old Mario show, but I saw the first episode of Zelda and I must say... that was the funniest complete and total piece of craappy awesomeness Ive ever seen! I loved it! It was so corny! Anyway, the Zelda, Mario, and sonic shows all had 7 episode each DVDs realeased a while ago in some classic cartoons series from some third rate DVD publisher, so you should be able to find them somewhere. That old Sonic show is still on late on Toon Disney, but god its aweful. An episode I saw was about Sonic and Tails babysitting three baby gophers while Eggman plotted some evil sceme. Sonic hates babies.

I thought I was soo cool. I never did see the zelda one, which is probabally equal in its shiznitious. Now that i look at that rapping video, I realise that looked NOTHING like mario and luigi. It looked like some fat italian dude in a plumber suit....wait....
