Art Sieg's Photoshop Images (Image Heavy)

[color=darkslategray][size=1]Like many people, I've decided to post a thread containing my banners and possibly avatars.

I was tinkering around with Layers when I came across several cool gradiant and texture ajustment features. The font used here is Cheapsake Fill, which can be found at datfont.en

This was just some random tinkering with light, texture and shadow. I like the font, but I don't remember which one that was....

I used some very fine, light texturing on this one, with a red overlay. I think it kinda conveys anger, from the bold, large font to the red color.

I love the border lines and background. Interesting lines going vertically. Very clear.

I like the background. It blends in with the border. But the words on it..I'm not to thrilled. Maybe if it were a bit clear then yeah.

Interesting! Dark and mysterious. If the picture were clearer then it be better.

[SIZE=1]I think I should give you some crit, as you haven't really gotten much. ^_^

[b]Bandera Uno[/b] is your best, not only because of the stock (which is exceptional), but because of the font and its placement. While I think the texture should be done away with, and the border should be more defined, it's all good.

[b]Bandera Dos y Tres[/b] are the same in the respect that I don't like the filter applied to them, and the font looks rather strange and foreign. I hope you make more, and keep it up. *thumbs up*

First is good, i don't particularly like the others. Download some brush sets, and fool around with them.. i'm sure you'll be much happier with the outcome.

I personally am not particularly fond of any of the banners. Out of the three the first one is the best, but there's still a lot of work that could be done on that one.

Namely the beveled border on all three of the banners should go, and better text placement, font use, and color coordination should be used. The placement of some of the stock images is also odd. Keep working at it though, and if you do decide to download some brushes remember not to "abuse" them as way to many graphics artists these days tend to do.

Sieg, this is what you [B]shouldn't[/B] do. By downloading these brushes, you'll look like a hotshot, but really not be good at all. You will have no skill, and have no idea how to create the effects given by the brushes. Develop your skill.

I suppose you, tiGz, abuse the brushes and just splash them on your banner to make them look hot. They look like you've done really well on them, but in reality, you may have no idea how to replicate the abstract look.[/SIZE]
