Dust swirled up around his feet as he walked, slowly, away from the group. His head was bowed, his mind deep in thought. Could he join the one he had hunted for so long? Could he join Reoan? Perhaps it was merely petty vengeance that drove him to kill her, vengeance that must be set aside to help her accomplish her goal. Perhaps he should forget his quarrel with her, and concentrate on defeating the angels. After all, the Dukes of Hell had wronged him more than she had done, and he could use her help to defeat them.

He turned back, ready to go back to Reoan with his decision, when a small puff and the smell of brimstone filled the air. Kraven turned, and saw a demon sitting on a rock behind him, simply flipping a stone in it's hand as if it were a coin. This demon was humanoid, around six feet tall, wearing a crisp white suit and hat.

"What do you want of me, demon?" Kraven asked the demon without even turning to look at him.

"What do you want of me, demon? That's not a nice way to talk to someone like me," replied the demon, his voice smooth and silky.

"What do you mean, someone like me?" asked Kraven, now turning to face this demon.

"There he is. I was wondering when I would see you again, Kraven," said the demon, getting up off his seat and moving towards Kraven. He stood close to Kraven, facing him, and placed his hands on Kraven's shoulders. Then, with no warning, he pulled Kraven into a tight embrace.

"What are you doing?" spluttered Kraven with disgust, pushing the demon away.

"You don't recognise me?"

"Why should I?"

"Demons should always remember their own flesh and blood," said the demon.

"Balthazar?" said Kraven in disbelief. He could not believe that he was talking to his brother.

"The one and only. As you can see, I have had a few changes of body, as have you, I see," said Balthazar, "You don't look too happy to see me, brother."

"That's because I know you can only be here for one thing."

"And what might that be?"

"You're a demon. The demons are after me. You've been sent to kill me, haven't you?"

"Well, if you must know, I have been sent here to kill you. The higher powers don't like what you're doing, especially now you're going to join Reoan."

"How do they know that? I only decided that a couple of minutes ago!"

"The Dukes have eyes and ears everywhere, Kraven, you should know that!"

"So they sent my own brother to kill me? How ironic."

"Well, I have to do my job. They think that if you join forces with Reoan, you're going to become too powerful. She has a lot of powerful friends, you know."

"Well, if you're going to kill me, then you might as well try," said Kraven, getting a little tired of his brother's games.

"But that would take all the fun out of it," said his brother, drawing a flaming sword from mid-air, "But I could use the practice. I'm a little rusty." He threw the sword at Kraven, who ducked, and the sword flew back to his hand.

"Oh, what do you know, I've still got it!" he said, running at his brother with the sword flashing...

Wearing his old clothes through the streets of Kyoto made Yasuo feel somewhat at peace. Thank goodness his aunt Sachi had sent him some of his old clothes. The old white tees were getting torn and bloodied and jeans weren't to Yasuo's liking at all. His loose bondage pants and black muscle tee covered with a fishnet tee made him stand out a little, but he didn't worry about it. The young man walked down the sidewalk, head bowed, deep in thought.

===========================

"So you're leaving?" Hiroko asked in Japanese leaning against the wall.

"Yes." Yasuo replied.

With a sigh Hiroko rested her head against the wall and stared at the ceiling. "So tell me why, again?" She asked.

Yasuo stopped packing his clothes into the duffel bag for a moment and bowed his head to think for a moment. Rising to his feet he gazed into Hiroko's eyes. As she pushed herself and stood away from the wall he answered, "Because if I stay here I put you in danger. There will be others hunting me down. I can't put you in harm's way again."

Hiroko shook her head. "You've always protected me before. What if they come and you're not here? Who will be here for me?" Her eyes began to glisten with tears. Obviously struggling to fight them back. "Yasuo, what did you do to make people come after you like this? What are you hiding from me?" She pleaded to Yasuo, stepping closer and leaning in, staring into the boy's eyes.

Yasuo only stared back, seemingly cold on the outside. "Hiroko..." He paused, shifting his weight. "I don't know what I did to piss these people off. But they're after me, and the longer I stay here, the more danger you are in." He kneeled to continue his packing.

Hiroko's footsteps rang in his ears as she walked away. How he hated lying to her. But he did endanger her life with his presence. Yasuo couldn't stay here much longer. Sartael was right, more demons would come. He wouldn't be able to bear any harm that would come to her.

===========================

Yasuo stopped suddenly, his gut tightening. He felt the demon. It was nearby. Looking up to the sign on the building, he saw that it was a bathhouse. A bathhouse frequented by members of the Yakuza.

"Is this the place?" He whispered.

Feeling the angel take form she stepped so that she stood beside him. Humans walked by, none noticing the beautiful creature with the giant white wings standing beside this individual in black. "You'll find the fallen in here." Sartael replied.

Bowing his head for a moment, Yasuo began to walk inside, melding into the shadows of the doorway immediately. The angel smiled before fading away completely. Taking flight before she could no longer be seen by the boy.

OOC: OK guys, I'll be on the other side of the city. Don't interrupt my little confrontation with this fallen one until after my next post if you would be so kind.

The sweet smell of spiced food wavered through the warm early morning as the contents of a small hotel lay restless. A warm breeze slowly filtered through the closed shades, rattling them softly. Amber laid upon the massive Grigori half-breed's lap, while he sat ackwardly against the wall furthest from the front door, fast asleep. The Fallen had insisted that he stay closest to Reoan and Jacob reluctently allowed for this to be possible.

Jacob sat restlessly in the small chair, its back towards the small room that concealed Reoan and Asariel. He knew that Reoan was merely resting; recovering her strength. But why had she fainted yet again, her strength should be returning to her. Especially after the death of three of the twelve angels.

"She's locked herself away, Guardian." The crisp, smooth voice nearly made Jacob jump out of his chair.

"You shouldn't be here." Jacob spoke once taking in the strangers sight.

The man laughed. "The others cannot see me as you do."

"Then why show yourself to me?" Jacob sat back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest.

"I did not plan to."

Jacob glared at the fair skinned man. The man simply smiled back.

"She has given you her sight." The man tried to make his smile brighter, but it failed. He seemed to stay perfectly posed against the door, one foot pulled up against the door with his hands stuffed firmly in his white pants pockets.

"To see what?"

"Through our barriers and see our true forms." The man gave a half smile as he lowered his head. "She could always find us, always hear. She went beyond all of our expectations."

"Why did you condem her to Hell if you still love her so much?" Jacob leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands.

"You could never understand, Guardian." The man mumbled.

"I watched you, through her memories. I cannot understand why you would send her to Hell by your own damned hands just for the sake of returning to a place where you would always be welcomed." Jacob nearly shouted at him.

"She was becoming the thing we had tried to destroy, a monster. A monster my love help create. And though a part of me took great joy in the fact that she would then spend entirty in Hell with me, I knew it wouldn't be so. For even the Dukes of Hell would keep us apart. Our love was forbid far beyond just the boundaries of Heaven. So when God offered me the chance to end the terror Reoan was creating and try to ease her pain, I took it. For I didn't want any one else to take her life, but me. My love created her, my love would be what destroyed her." The man could not look at Jacob, but kept his head low, staring at the carpeted floor below.

"And she fears that it will happen again. That if she were to allow her true strength...her true power unfold that she will find herself betraying everything she holds closest to her." Jacob sat up straight, his eyes racing over the man's body.

"You've seen her vision." The man whispered.

"I could never..." Jacob began.

"Oh but you will. Asariel and Kraven will help her hunt not only the rest of the Twelve, but the Dukes as well. The balance will be completely destroyed and the world will be plundged into chaos. The war has begun to slow, the humans have slowly realized that war will not solve this crime."

"The angels doing." Jacob growled.

The man turned his head to the side for a moment and replied, "yes. God's orders, he does not wish innocent humans to suffer for our irresponbility to keep Reoan under control. And the young one holds a greater secret than even Reoan can fathom."

Jacob turned his head towards David and Amber. "But she is only a demon, how could she be something beyond even Reoan, myself or you?"

"You will see when you face Oriel, she will come looking for you because of your knew companion." The man suddenly shoved himself away from the wall and looked behind Jacob.

The Guardian didn't move, but simply said, "she's awake."

The man brought nervous eyes over to Jacob. "If you don't stop her, Guardian, she will destroy everything with her endless thirst for revenge," and with that the man disappeared through the door.

"I will not betray her like you have, Adoil, my love is beyond the boundaries of this world." Jacob whispered as he stood up.

Tristen woke up with a pounding head and a sore back,"Damn. I just had to fight without stretching. She went and got into the shower, getting out ten minutes later. She dried her haid and put on some clean cloths as she heard a knock at the door."Comming." She opened it and saw Raed standing in front of her.

"What time does your plane leave for Japan? She said with a small grin.

"Good morning, dearest Reoan."

The fallen angel's voice slid over her like silk. Reoan's eyelids fluttered and she tried to sit up, only to find Asariel's hand on her bare shoulder. He had a quiet smile on his face, and his eyes shimmered violet and crimson.

"No, no," chided the fallen softly. "Do not exert yourself. Rest now, and recover your strength. Are you in pain?" Asariel's free hand indicated Reoan's other shoulder, the one that had been injured in the previous battle.

Reoan tested it carefully, raising her arm up slightly. She grimaced as the veins in her arm throbbed, and Asariel quickly motioned her to stop. Leaning in closer to her, Asariel's gaze met Reoan's twin liquid-dark eyes.

"Allow me to do something for the pain, Mistress."

Nodding somewhat dazedly, Reoan watched as Asariel stood and turned his back to her, removing his long black-and-read overcoat and placing it on the arm of a chair nearby. Clad in a close-fitting black sleeveless shirt with a high collar and inlaid red and silver designs, Reoan felt the blood thicken in her veins. His muscles rippled ever so slightly as he knelt next to her once more and stroked her hair with his left hand.

"Try to relax. This will only take a moment." Asariel's eyes seemed to brighten slightly, as if in anticipation.

Leaning close to her injured shoulder, the fallen removed what few bandages remained. Thanks to the slow restoration of Reoan's powers, her body healed itself more efficiently, but the pain within was still difficult to remove in a short period of time. Sliding his long fingers gently over Reoan's bare shoulder, Asariel watched as Reoan closed her eyes slightly, and began to weave his energy into a restorative weave. He was by no means adept at removing injury, but he could do many things with pain.

His face dropped lower, and Asariel removed his hand from Reoan's shoulder completely. Losing the sweet sensation of euphoria that she felt upon his touch, Reoan's brows drew together slightly, discomforted. But they quickly relaxed and rose with her intake of breath, as she felt the fallen's lips press against the skin of her shoulder. Asariel's energy flooded into Reoan's body, a wave of sensation that set every nerve in her body tingling with a feeling akin to pleasure. The pain now a distant memory, Reoan moaned softly as Asariel continued his healing, his weave all but complete.

"Reoa--What are you doing!?" came a shout at the doorway.

Startled out of his trance, Asariel turned and rose in the blink of an eye, murder painted across his features. Jacob stood in the doorway, his jaw clenched, fire alight in his eyes. In the bed, Reoan came to herself and tried to sit up once more. "You--"

"OUT!" bellowed Asariel, his glaive detaching itself from its place propped beside the window and leaping to his hands. Enraged at the intrusion, Asariel turned Ashen Hand expertly, the blade facing away from the Guardian. "GET OUT!" The blunt end of the glaive struck Jacob's chest, doing no lasting damage but pushing him back out into the hall. Asariel slammed the door and bolted it with the glaive haft, Hellfire raging in his eyes. They softened as his gaze fell upon Reoan, and the smile returned as he knelt at her side.

"Forgive my anger, Mistress Reoan, but it is not their place to interrupt your healing. How do you feel now?"

The balcony of the hotel room was sublime...the view looking out onto the town was wonderful to see..................but there was no comfort......

Leaning up against its edge; Rubedo's golden, red hair blew to the melody of the breeze that played up against his face. It was a bitter night...the cold attempting to pierce through his very skin...a mist escaping his lips...

Raven caught sight of him after she had talked with the others and approached him in a firm...but yet caring tone.

"Rubedo...come inside...you're going to freeze!" as she stomped towards him with a blanket.

He was indeed shivering...but they weren't from this kind of cold.......

"What's wrong..." Raven asked as she locked her eyes on his...placing the blanket over his shoulders. She was well dressed for the weather...it wasn't winter...but was cold enough to have one prepared.

She had noticed that Rubedo hadn't said anything since the talk with Kadar...well...he usually never talked...but less than usual; it seemed like that was something he was working on...especially to her.

"Rubedo....what's on your mind?"

He couldn't speak...Rubedo closed his eyes and took in a deep breathe. He could feel them...he could feel them all...the death...the pain...the torment that seemed to be spreading across the entire planet. And somewhere...Reoan was gathering strength for whatever her plan was...something that may or may not endanger them all.

He could feel himself lossing it again...that beast within...the sheath of the blade within was withering away....even with Raven's presence...........he felt so lost.

"They're coming........"

"Who's coming Rubedo..." Raven added..trying to open him up.

"The other Zodiacs...they're coming for you all....you'll be safe with them..."

"What are you talking about Rubedo...you sound as if you're leaving....." but she realized it right at the edge of her sentence...he was leaving her....that's why he wouldn't talk to her.

Before she could react...Rubedo stood up straight and brought her close to him with one arm...kissing her softly on her forehead as she felt his warm embrace...the blanket falling of his shoulders.

Whispering down to her...."thank you..........for everything Raven..................I am happy to see you well now....please....do not worry........"

And with that...just as she attempted to wrap her arms around him....he faded from her as she grasped only air...

***

Walking in an open plain...the wind picking up around him...the shivers were coming back...more intensly with every passing moment....

There was no reason anymore...he knew what he had to do.........to bring balance to the equation....to protect her happiness....

"ALBEDO!" Rubedo cried out into the night as he paced in the open field...a rush of energy flowing through his being.

His former master materialized behind him with a smile on his face as he saw his young friends shoulders rise and fall with a sense of intensity and anger...

"How does it feel to not have reins placed apon you my friend?" he quickly questioned...he could see Rubedo was starting to loss control...a sense of purpose...

However...Rubedo simply laughed.............catching Albedo off guard...

"Oh don't be so noble to me Albedo...you assume too much about my condition..."

"what......" but before he could do anything...Rubedo quickly weilded his two scimitars and turned to face Albedo; slashing upwards with both blades as he cut through the angels wings.

It was so fast that Albedo simply stood there as the blood poured onto the ground from the severed limbs...

Albedo was speechless...not crying out for a moment in pain as Rubedo thrust his blade through the angels throat. The flame within Rubedo's chest that had healed Kadar before was burning once again...shining through the skin and clothing as if it were behind glass...his eyes shifted to the color of red as he stared down at his victim.

With the flick of his wrist, Albedo's head came off without effort as it began to role on the ground...still holding the shocked gaze.

Never again will I be ruled.............I now know what I must do...the only thing that I've ever been shown to do....

The shivers were calming down...his spirit resting as he took in the pleasure of the kill....but it would not last long....he knew this...

Taking off his shirt and trench coat...the flame could be clearly seen as the wind whirled around him as it brought in the storm.

"Dukes of Hell!!! I summon thee!!!"

They will come...at least one will....then I may act..........

K flew through the air in his hawk form, the wind beating heavily under his wings as he rose higher. The girls had chosen to take a plane to Japan while K had chosen to fly there himself. It was quite the journey, but K loved the outdoors and the veiw was amazing as the ocean air carried him effortlessly. He would normally be tired after such an immense journey, but the wind was so strong from the water that he barely had to flap at all. His sharp eyes scanned the area below him, he was hungry, it'd been quite awhile since he'd eaten anything. As he examined the water riptides formed and waves grew white at the tip. He noticed a plump fish flopping around near the surface. He dove immediately, his sharp beak impaling the fish and gripping it like a vice. He flapped wildly rising back up from the rough cold water.

He landed on a small island, he assumed he was rather close to Japan and resting here would be a good idea before continuing his search for the zodiac. His beak loosened itself around the fish dropping it to the ground. He changed from his hawk form back to his original one. It was silent for a bit until he began to spit rapidly I hate the taste of raw fish he thought to himself. He walked around the immediate area gathering sticks and wood of the sort for a small fire. After everything was arranged he took two stones of flint from his pocket and struck them together above the small pile of branches and leaves. Sparks jumped from the stones immediately to lite the once docile fire.

He took the fish he'd just caught and thrust a sharp stick through its mouth. He hung it over the fire, small whiffs of smoke raising from the flames and heating his dinner. The scales began fall from its body and soon the fish was nice and crsipy, just how he liked it. He took it from over the fire and bit into the side. The exterior was crunchy and scrapped across his teeth while the inner meat was warm and soft, tasting magical in his mouth. He quickly devoured the fish, leaving nothing but bones and vital organs behind.

After he ate his fill he layed back upon the beach, the sand forming to his large figure as he looked up at the sky. It was nearing night and the sun was setting over the large body of water before him. He began to notice stars emerging from the black of night. He loved to watch the day change, and as the sun finally set he watched as it's tip sunk below the gleaming ocean. He smiled, enjoying the sight of nature and all its wonder.

O.O.C.: I'm back from hiatus and ready to kick it in the rear. (My rear that is..)

Kadar had awoken from a dreamless slumber and was still awry from the trip here. He walked to his bag and tredged into the restroom. He grabbed some things, like soap and scrubbing utensils. Then threw them into the bag as he swung it over his right shoulder.

He made his way to the hotel room door and turned the knob gently to not have anyone notice.

"Where are you going?" Camilla, annoyed by Kadar's sneaking, blocked his escape.

"Going to bathe myself."

She forcingly pointed to the bathroom door. "Well there it is." Kadar looked in the direction of her finger and looked back into her direction. "Since we're in Japan," he started. "I might as well take advantage of experiencing the public baths. I heard they are quite nice." He lowered his head and cupped his mouth over her ear. "You can come and watch if you are so anxious of keeping me in your sights." An evil grin spread across his face and his eyes narrowed in excitement.

"Eghch! Like I'd ever want to!" She stepped aside and Kadar opened the door haphazardly.

"Hey. You ladies want to come and watch, too?" He called back and chuckled, closing the door before he could get an answer.

-------------------------------

Minutes later, Kadar was laid back in the massive tub breathing in the steam-filled air. "It is nice.."

He looked around at the people around him. All of them male. "It's too bad that I don't like men." He burst out laughing at his useless comment. The other visitors cautiously took a glance at him, most noticed his platinum hair. They quickly looked away when Kadar noticed.

He rose from the water and walked out to the towel rack. He made his way into the steam room and closed the door, trying to keep the heat in. There were two rather large men and a skinny looking one, who looked dried up from the warmth, sitting in random spots in the half circle seating area. Kadar found a nice place between the larger men.

'So Rubedo left. Who knows when he'll come back. If that's the case.' He crossed his arms in thought and crossed his legs. 'And there are even more Zodiacs to find after this. Once we get the one here and back in the U.S we have to get back to the grove.'

Without warning, the two large men each grabbed one of Kadar's arms and lifted him off the ground. "What the?!..." Kadar had recieved a blow to his stomache before anymore words came out.

"So one of the Zodiac had decided to show himself," the skinny man spoke while revealing a rather long dagger. "And it's Saggitarius of all people," he laughed maniacly at the thought. He pointed the weapon to Kadar's throat.

"What..do you want with..me," Kadar choked as the air came rushing back.

"I want you dead. Without a guide, the rest will follow in suit." The man rose his blade. "Nothing personal. You should blame God for the circumstance you're in. You'll need it where you are going." The blade swooshed through the air with supreme precision.

------------------------------

Outside the bath house, a couple were speaking to eachother while walking down the street.

"Can you believe the news on today? More bombing and attacks! There is also news on brutal killings. Limbs and heads chopped off and stuff!" The man was practically leaning over with excitement.

"No more," the young woman cried out. "I don't want to hear about you're war news and gore." She covered her ears and shook her head to get the images out of her head.

"Sorry about that, Clara. You know how I get when I get to hear about stuff like that." He patted the woman on the shoulder and pulled the cap down over her eyes. "Don't do that!" she begged trying to tuck her hair back in. She stopped short when the rumbling started.

The front of the bath house blew into peices from the body being thrown through it. Shards of building and splinters blew everywhere and was soon followed by a blur. The body was a large man and the blur was another man wearing only a towel. Witout warning, before the larger man could get up, the other man thrusted his foot onto his head and forced it to the ground. A sickening crunch followed.

The dust had settled and Clara first noticed the towel man had platinum colored hair with a sinister look plastered on his face; a red look to his eyes. She looked down and noticed the head..what was left of a head..of the larger man. The blood seeped out of the corpse. Clara had grown short of breath.

"CLARA! GET OUT!"

Suddenly another blur, from what was remaining of the bath house, approached the platinum-haired man and slashed at him with a weapon. He was lanky and looked dry. Small clumps of hair and blood was on his head. The platinum man easily dodged to the side.

"MACOIDHFOIHJ!" the man spoke to the lanky guy. It didn't sound like words, but it definitely came from his mouth.

The man was taken aback. "I'll kill you! YOU MONSTER!" He slashed at the air and a current of force rushed from his blade toward the platinum man, who easily jumped into the air to dodge. He escaped, but the sound of sickening chops and wacks were still made.

"ADREAN!" Clara shouted. Tears flowing and immense pounding from her chest.

"I guess it isn't cool after all.."

With those last words, blood spayed from the man as his parts fell in an instant to the ground.

-----------------------------------

"What happened?.." Kadar awoke in mid run and was carrying a strange young woman in his arms. He slowed to a bench on the side of the road. He layed her down and sat next to her.

'Have I done it again!?' he thought while looking at the unconscious woman. Blood was partially sprayed on her. He took a few more looks and began to notice her a little more. She was definitely American, beautiful, and rather vuluptuous.

'The hell am I thinking?! I got to get back to the others. They'll know what to do.' Kadar stood up and began to walk away. He noticed the woman had turned and she began to cry. 'I can't leave her. I have to know why I was carrying her in the first place. Maybe Zane can help.'

Kadar picked the woman up and started to the hotel.

-----------------------------------

"Where have you been?" Ima asked as Kadar rushed through the door. Everyone was about ready to leave. "And who is that?"

Kadar walked to the couch and layed the woman down. "I don't know. I was at the bath place and I was jumped. Then suddenly I find myself running with her in my arms."

Everyone looked at the two people awkwardly. Then Ben walked up to the couch and poked at her.

"That's a nice looking whore you picked up," he grimmased. She began to stir.

"She's waking up," Zane said as he examined the two. And blood from Kadar's sock. The woman got up with a start and looked around at all the people looking back.

"Where am I?" she half-asked, holding her head from what seemed like dizziness. Her hat was still on. "Who are you?" She pointed at Kadar of all people.

Zane's eyes were closed and he opened them up.

"It seems she is suffering from amnesia."

O.O.C.: Well here it is! Hope you liked it. My first real post for the second part of A.M.D.! For whoever's next, Kadar knows that her name is Clara (and he doesn't know why). PM me if you want to know anything else.

Kraven's swords clashed against the flaming sword that belonged to his brother. They fought, moving round each other, swinging their weapons, each trying to kill the other. Balthazar was stronger, faster, more skilled, most likely as a result of being in Hell far longer than Kraven. The power of the fire and the brimstone had changed him, increasing his strength and speed. Kraven spun round, slashing at his brother, managing to knock his hat off, sending it flying through the air, landing on the dusty ground.

In the split-second that this distracted Bathazar, Kravne managed to ram both of his swords through his brother's stomach. Thick, ebony blood dripped onto the floor, running off Kraven's swords. Blood welled up in the corner of Balthazar's mouth, and it began to dribble slowly from his eye sockets. Kraven stood facing his brother, still holding the swords that had all but killed him, breathing heavily.

Balthazar raised his flaming sword, and brought it down, striking a heavy blow across Kraven's chest. A long, bloody gash opened in his flesh, and his shirt was ripped open. Another swipe from Balthazar caught Kraven across the cheek, cutting open the skin swiftly. Blood splattered onto the floor, and Kraven resumed his grip on his swords, and pulled them apart, cutting his brother in two. His top half fell to the floor, and as his body turned to hot ash, a huge, flaming figure rose from what remained of him.

"Kraven!" it screamed, flying at him, not giving him any time to dodge before it smashed into his body, burning his shirt almost completely off, and driving him backwards, flying him into the sky. Kraven tried to stop it, but it shrugged off his blows, and continued flying him into the air.

When it reached around 40 feet into the air, the flaming figure balled up into a fiery sphere, wrapping itself around Kraven, and exploded in a huge shower of flames and sparks, blasting Kraven all the way back down into the ground. He fell, smashing into the ground hard, making a cloud of dust rise and billow around him. Blood leaked from his chest and his face, mixing with the dust on the ground to make a thick paste, and he felt everything go black...

Yasuo watched from the shadows, waiting for the fallen to reveal himself. His eyes fell upon a strong man sitting in the corner of one of the tubs. He was heavily tattooed, but he wasn't the strange energy that he felt about the room. It was something else that distracted his senses.

As his eyes darted about the room, he saw a unique individual enter from the steam room off to his left. A strong man, slightly taller than Yasuo. His hair was a strange color, an offwhite color that seemed platinum. It had to be him. The energy that surrounded the room must be coming from him.

Yasuo watched the man take a seat in the bath inbetween these two large men. Readying his weapons, Yasuo moved to the shadows behind the platinum haired one. Surprisingly the large men grabbed and detained the platinum man. People from around the room looked over, but only one man rose and spoke.

"So one of the Zodiac had decided to show himself," the skinny man spoke as he began to reveal a dagger from behind his back. Almost like he had been waiting for the platinum man to show up. "And it's Saggitarius of all people," he added before beginning to laugh.

"A Zodiac," whispered Yasuo. Tightening the grip on his weapons Yasuo prepared to defend his comrade. Yasuo watched as the scrawny Yakuza member pointed the blade at the platinum Zodiac's throat and readied himself to deliver the final blow.

"Nothing personal. You should blame God for the circumstance you're in. You'll need it where you are going." With that he brought his blade back and prepared to bring it down onto the Zodiac, when blood sprayed over his face. One of Yasuo's blades stuck from the back of the head of the large man to the Sagittarius' right. A sloppy throw, but it hit it's mark. Startled, the skinny man staggered back and looked over to the young Capricorn, who was steadily and hastily charging forward.

A strange flicker of energy began to radiate. It seemed that the Sagittarius had entered some sort of battle mode; his aura flickered and began to overwhelm all who stood around him. The large man to his left staggered back, shielding himself from the eminent harm that would befall him. Yasuo's pace slowed to a halt, five or so meters from the Sagittarius Zodiac. It was at that moment that he could feel his target's presence. The fallen had revealed himself foolishly as he began to retreat through the back door, no longer hiding his aura.

The platinum Zodiac had begun his attack, moving at an accelerated pace he punched the skinny man before him square in the solarplexis throwing him back to the other end of the bathtub. The large man that had held him up climbed out of the tub, scared for his life, running towards the front door. Others were following his example, while some attempted to come and attack both Zodiacs. The Sagittarius merely turned his head towards the large man and charged forward out of the tub, knocking down those in his path with well layed hooks and a few sweeps. He broke one of the men's nose on contact with a right hook that sent him flying off of his feet into the nearby wall, cracking the back of his head open.

Yasuo felt that he wouldn't need a hand as he smiled lightly. Charging to the right, Yasuo grabbed his other blade and ran at the mob before him. With readied weapons pointed downwards he moved like he would slash at the first man, but instead propelled himself downwards, sliding like he was stealing home underneath the man in front of him. As he touched the shadow that the man made, he immediately sunk down into the floor, vanishing before the Yakuza's eyes.

Traveling about the floor and through the tiny shadows around him he found his way towards the back door to hunt down his prey. He would meet the platinum one again, he was sure of it.

Raed sat in the aisle seat and looked around lazily, she hadn't really slept and was rather exhausted. Wonder who that man was... She thought of the previous night, the huge demon, her new traveling companion and the strange zodiac the was also coming to Japan. "Oh well." She said standing up. She raised her hands over her head in a cat-like stretch. Tristen had fallen asleep and was quietly mumbling. Read laughed to herself and walked down the cramped compartment.

The plane was landing roughly, waking up Tristen and the other people. While everyone else bounced up and down in their seat Raed walked smoothly to the front of the plane. She entered the captains compartment and looked out at the land. "You should sit down." The pilot said tensely. His co-pilot looked back at her as his eyes grew wide. Raed was standing in the middle of the floor with her hands at her side as the plane hit the ground with a lot of turbulence.

Bitter sweet pain
Envolopes itself around me
And all I can think about
Is your touch
There is no blood thristy regret
That lays heavy on my shoulders
As it does yours
I'm free to admit
That my heart belongs to you
Go ahead
And tell me another lie
For I'll believe it
Until the day I die
I did not ask to love you
Only to hold your hand
And share your pain
To take flight
Or battle the light
Wait out the dark
Or enter the night
I will love you
Until my dying breath
Reoan searched Asariel's sincer face, so perfect and tempting; all of him was so overwhelming and she could feel the desire seep into the depths of her soul. Her chest felt heavy when she realized that the pain in her shoulder was gone. She turned away from him and ran her fingers over the scared flesh and allowed a slight snort to escape.

"Jacob has been my healer since I arrived back on Earth, Fallen. His attachment to me will create conflict. You will do well to keep your anger in check when dealing with those closest to me, understand?" Reoan's voice seemed cold and distant as she kept her eyes from the man at her side.

Asariel lowered his head softly and replied sweetly, "as you wish, Mistress Reoan."

A sudden twinge of pain filled Reoan's chest, just below her breast. She wrapped an arm around herself in hopes to calm this knew found pain.

"What is it?" Asariel stupped closer.

Reoan clenched her eyes shut as a flood of pain and nausea engulfed her body for a moment. She suddenly sat straight up, her breath short as she spoke one single word: "Kraven".

Reoan rushed from the bed before Asariel could protest, grabbed her sword that lay propped against the wall nearest the door and rushed into the main room. David, Jacob and Amber all jumped with a startle as Reoan raced towards the door, Asariel on her heels. He finally managed to grab a hold of her arm and pulled her back towards him. She whipped her head around and stared straight into his crimson purple eyes.

"You cannot go hunting demons when you have not fully healed." Asariel protested, Amber, David and Jacob watching them both intently.

"You will do well to let me go, Fallen. I may be weak yet, but I assure you I will find my strength when caged." Reoan's voice lay low in her throat, threatening and yet tempting him to push her.

Asariel ran a gentle hand over her delicate face and a bright smile streamed across his own. He slowly released his grasp. "I will accompany you." He said simply.

"I do not wish it. You will stay here with my companions. I will call for you if I need you. I only have to locate one demon." She smiled wickedly.

Reluctently every one allowed Reoan to venture from the hotel on her own. She could feel their worry swirling around her chest as she swiftly made her way through the city streets. She cleared her mind and focused on Kraven's fading energy. He wasn't far from the river or the city, which was convient.

The small field that laid surrounded by hills was thick with tall grass and small shrubs. I battle had taken place here, the animals clearly stated this upon her arrival. But unfortonetly, Reoan could not locate Kraven's body and his energy had fallen so low that she could barely detect it.

Reoan was about to pull her sword for its shealth when she tripped over something and nearly landed face first into the dirt. She managed to regain her balance and twirl around to see an unconcious Kraven on the ground. His body was covered in blood, but it didn't seem to be his own. The ex-Guardian knelt down beside him and ran a gentle hand over his body. He seemed to be breathing and his heart beat normal, just unconcious. Or so she hoped.

Reoan lefted the heavy man onto her back, his head and most of his chest slumped over her right shoulder as she held firmly to his legs. She managed to find both his swords and return them to their shealths before making her way back towards the hotel.

"You could stand to lose a few pounds," Reoan grumbled as she made her way through the field.

When Kraven came to, he was lying on a soft bed, with white linen sheets making it up. His brother's blood was all but gone from his body, and his wounds had healed up nicely. He sat up, and saw Reoan sitting over him. He was suddenly very aware that someone had taken all his clothes. He covered himself with the sheet, and looked around in a daze.

"What happened? Where am I?" he asked Reoan croakily, his voice not yet fully recovered.

"I found you, and I brought you back here. You were hurt pretty badly. What happened to you?" she replied.

"I fought against an enemy I never thought I would see. So you saved me?" she nodded, "Then I owe you my life. A life-debt is never forgotten by a demon. I shall make sure it is repayed."

"Who was this enemy? Is he a threat to us?"

"Not any longer. He was my brother, Balthazar, sent by the Dukes of Hell to kill me and then to destroy you. Fortunately I killed him before he could get near you."

"Why are you protecting me all of a sudden?" she asked.

"If I do not, then order will fail, and chaos will reign. If I do not protect you, then the Angels of Heaven and the Dukes of Hell will succeed, and end up destroying each other. We cannot let that happen to this planet."

"So you are only protecting me to save the Earth?"

"Yes, if you wish me to put it so bluntly. I will protect you, but you should know that if the time comes, I will kill you. The few must be sacrificed at the altar of the many."

"But I thought you owed me your life."

"That is true, but I feel the time will come for me to kill you after I have repayed my debt. Then it shall be a battle between us."

"Very well. If this is the way in which you choose to work this, then so be it." She held out her hand, and Kraven took it in a sign of partnership.

"Now would you be so good as to hand me my clothes, Reoan?" he asked. She picked them up, and dropped them on his bed, before walking out of the room. Kraven got to his feet and put his clothes on, before following Reoan out of the room. He met a lot of stern faces, including Jacob, David and Amber, as well as the Fallen Angel who had appeared at the river, Asariel. They did not want to accept him, a demon who had been trying to kill Reoan. But he did not care. He kept on walking, oblivious to their stares.

"Like it or not, I am part of your team now. You will come to accept it in time," he said, without even turning back. He felt the weight of the swords on his back, and that was all the comfort he needed.

Zane smiled at the woman.

" It's all right. I think you were having a dream," he said, trying to appear friendly and non-threatening. She looked around rather confused.

" A.. a dream?"

Zane nodded. " I would say it was more like a nightmare..." His eyes sharpened a little. The others gathered around her. He stood, grabbed Kadar's arm roughly and took him to the side as the others tried to comfort the woman.

Once into the other room, Kadar roughly pulled out of Zane's grip. The two looked at each other, Zane's eyes narrowed.

" What happened?" he demanded.

" I told you. I remember going into the bath, then the next thing I knew was that I was running with her in my arms," Kadar half growled his answer.

" Kadar... You are lying... I can see it, remember."

" I am not lying Zane."

" Bullshit!" Zane yelled angrily at him before regaining his calm composure. He closed his eyes in frustration. " I can see it as plain as day. You turned into some sort of monster. I'm not necessarily saying that it was a beast, just a person that wasn't human."

" What the fuck are you trying to say?!!" Kadar roared at the Pisces.

Zane tried to keep him composure as he replied. " You killed that woman's companion! You killed two other men, and weren't short of killing her!"

Kadar was shocked. " How can you know this when I don't know this myself!"

Clenching his fists tightly, Zane hissed the answer through his teeth. " If you can decide to remember, I can see what's happened in the past, present and a short time into the future."

" There's no way I would do that!"

" Stop denying it! It only makes 'it' stronger!"

" Are you saying I'm a monster?!!!"

Zane went to reply but he just closed his mouth and walkd out of the room without another word. Kadar was left there with his own confused thoughts.

Upon returning to the living room, he found Ben, Ima and Kariz helping the woman to make herself comfortable. Camilla came up to Zane.

" What's the matter my dear Camilla?" he asked, trying not to let his frustration be know in his voice. He knew that his bodily actions told much more than the words than came out of his mouth.

" We found out her name. It's Clara. She's asking where her friend, I think his name was Adrean, is," Camilla said.

" Hmmm... this isn't going to be good," Zane mumbled as he ruffled his hair.

--------------------------------------------------

Cold air shifted around her body. Her arms hung limply in mid-air. She just stood there, as if time had frozen. Her mind was dead to the outside world.

His words... his words kept ringing in her ears. His actions had surprised her. Now that he had vanished, his actions stung her like a thousand wasps.

The cold wind moved the blanket that was now on the balcony's floor. It chilled her to the bones but she couldn't feel it anymore. All she could feel was the intense thumping of her heart.

The pain...

Pain of a familar sort to her started to run through her body. The pain of the heart... She could feel her heart thump against her chest. She could feel it grow colder and colder, closing itself from hurts of all kinds.

Her knees sank to the ground as her arms now held her arms on all fours. Silent tears started to form in her eyes and flow down her cold cheeks. They splattered against the balcony floor like droplets of blood pouring from a wound.

" No more.... no more..." she whispered in desperation. " I don't want to be hurt anymore...."

She clutched her heart and wept.

---------

Raven entered the room. There seemed to be a commotion, and a new arrival.

" What's happening?" she asked over the roudy din. Zane and Camilla came to her.

" Kadar had an incident with some people. And he found himself running along wiht this woman in his arms. Her name is Clara. There is more, but I don't think we have enough time to tell you. We have to find the other Zodiacs," Zane said.

" There is one around here somewhere," Camilla added. " I'm sure everyone can feel it."

Zane nodded. " Anyhow, we have to keep this Clara unaware of our powers since she'll be joining us on this quest it seems."

Raven stood there, wrapped in the blanket she wrapped around Rubedo. It still had his scent. Zane looked over her, his eyes turning slightly crystal blue.

" Camilla, could you leave us for a second? I'm sure Clara will love to meet you," Zane said, smiling at her.

She arched an eyebrow at him before leaving. Zane turned to Raven who was silent and still.

" Where is he?" he asked simply.

Raven shrugged her shoulders. " I couldn't care anymore."

" Hmmm? Well it seems you do if you are hurting that much."

" Watch what you say fishie boy!"

Zane smiled. Well at least she hadn't lost any of her bite. He approached her and wrapped his arms around her in a hug.

" Don't worry. He's not one to leave someone he cares for behind," he said soothingly before breaking the embrace and joining the others in helping Clara feel at home.

Raven stood there for a few more moments. Would he really come back for me? All I can do is hope... and that's more painful than anything.

With that, she joined in greeting Clara.

Reoan smiled at the slight tension that found its way into the hearts of her companions. It was ironic now, how her cause was bringing so many different types of life into her life. If only Adoil could see her now.

"We have a decision to make." Reoan said smoothly, taking a seat in one of the small funiture chairs. She pulled her sword, shealth and all, onto her lap and stared up at Kraven and Asariel, being that they were the two closest to her.

"And what would that be, Reoan?" Jacob was the first to speak, his voice and tone completely normal with a hint of affection.

"A Duke of Hell is near, but so is an Angel. We could seperate into two parties, Kraven's team searching for the Duke and my team for the Angel. Or we could stay together, defeat one and then the other." Reoan ran her finger tips along the leather and metal shealth as the four other various creatures stood completely silent before her.

Reoan smirked and released a slight bit of laughter at their silence. "We shall travel to meet the Angel, Oriel. We'll find her in Germany." Reoan suddenly turned to look at the demon. "You will not use your modern weapons on my targets. I perfer to watch them writher with pain and agony as they bleed."

"Understood," Kraven nodded.

"Whenever the rest of you are ready." Reoan smiled gently and almost wickedly.

Kariz looked over at the girl Kadar had brought in, she still looked rather shaken. What the hell was going on here? Ben walked over to her and leaned against the wall.

?What do you make of it??

Kariz shook her head, never taking her eyes from the girl ?I don?t know? but I don?t like it.?

Ben nodded. This girl wasn?t a zodiac, but she had been with Kadar for a reason. She walked over and stood next to Kadar who had been watching everyone

?You seriously need to stop getting yourself into these messes, or we?ll never get through this? She was only half teasing him

Kadar ran a hand through his hair ?Shit, I don?t know what it is. I guess my karma just sucks that bad? she sensed he too was making a half joke.

?Look, do you think someone is after you? Could they have followed you here??

he shook his head ?I don?t know? yeah, I guess someone could have, it?s possible.?

Kadar and Kariz stared at each other for a moment. They both were thinking the same thing. They had to go out for the next Zodiac. But not in this large a group, and not without a distraction. Kariz glanced over at the group, then she locked eyes with Ben who nodded at her and grabbed his coat. She turned and looked over at Raven, motioning her over. Raven came with a questioning look on her face.

Kariz laid out her idea ?Look, we need to go out and get the other Zodiac.?

Kadar nodded ?But we really shouldn?t take Clara with us, nor should she be left alone.?

?I think Ima, Zane, and Camilla can keep the base here, the rest of us should go and retrieve the Zodiac. If anything goes wrong, Ima?s strong enough to sence us out. Now Kadar thinks there?s a chance this place is being watched, or that he was followed?? she looked at Raven and then out the window at the clouds, ??think you can cook us up a distraction??

K sat upon a branch once again, it seemed as though he must've grown smaller over time, no one seemed to notice him much anymore. It's for the best I guess he thought to himself, looking down upon the group. They do look pretty tough he inquired, his eyes scanning a rough looking demon up and down. That one could become quite the problem he thought, ruffling his feathers, deep in thought. So deep, infact, that he failed to notice the group walking away from him. Whoa, wait he yelled in his head as he jumped from the branch, taking flight at the first gust of wind.

He moved from tree to tree, his talons sinking into the hard oak as he continued to watch the group. He wanted to get a good look at everyone, just in case they were looking for a fight rather then a friendly talk. He soon, however, noticed Reoan, walking towards the front of the group. He'd never met her before but he got a strange feeling when he caught sight of her eyes. He wanted to meet her, he had to meet her.

But before he could even get the chance, he felt fingers wrap tightly around his small feet. The demon was obviously smarter then he originally thought. "This ones been following us" he said, hanging K upside down from his right hand. The group turned and looked to Kraven as the bird struggled wildly in his hands. "Let him down" Reoan spoke softly. With that he was dropped to the ground, his feathered head thumping hard against the forest floor.

K morphed back to his human form, quickly turning to confront Kraven. "What was that for? Its not as if I was attacking you or something" he said, his voice showing a defensive tone. Kraven just grunted, no words leaving his mouth. "What do you want with us?" Reoan asked. K laughed hesitantly "I'm not quite sure myself, I was on my way to Japan but I kind of got side-tracked. I saw you guys and was about to come down to introduce myself when scruffy over there took it upon himself to bring me down."

"Quiet, bird" said Kraven, becoming annoyed. Before K could return the comment Reoan interrupted "A zodiac?" she asked, looking somewhat interested. K turned to her once again "Y-Yeah kind of, but I don't like labels you know?" She nodded "Come with us, it'll save us a lot of trouble." K looked at her confused, but decided it was best for him to follow. "Alright" he said, nodding back. And with that the group continued their journey.

OOC: Alright, DC wanted everyone to eventually meet up so here I am to join the group. If theres anything I need to change just ask.

Raven smiled.
" I'm sure I could cook you guys up something. I'll apologise in advance if I got a little overboard."

Kariz, Ben and Kadar nodded. They made their way out the door as Raven informed the others of the plan. Ima, Zane and Camilla nodded and walked over to Clara, asking her what she wanted for dinner. They'd get room service.

Using this as a distraction, Raven snuck out onto the balcony and managed to climb up to the rooftop. Placing herself under an eve, she momentarily watched the night stars twinkle before starting, closing her eyes in concentration. Thinking of all the sadness and anger within her, Raven slowly opened her eyes to reveal brilliant yellow eyes.

Storm clouds started to gather in the sky. The winds picked up. Rain started to pelt down. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled. It was a truly severe storm. Raven had trouble keeping control and not losing herself in it for Kariz, Ben and Kadar's sake.

The lights flickered in the building - the signal. Kariz, Ben and Kadar made a run for it, while Raven distracted the followers with the storm. Zane made illusions of Kadar, Ben and Kariz to make the followers think they were still there. It was an elaborate plan.

-------------------------------------------

Zane watched out the windows as the storm grew more and more fierce.

" Raven's certainly oudoing herself. I hope she doesn't go too far. She's got a lot of emotion in her mind right now," Zane muttered to himself.

" Are you talking to yourself?" Ima asked, coming up behind him.

Zane jumped. He rearranged his purple-;ensed sunglasses. " Just making some observations about the storm."

Ima nodded. " I hope she doesn't exhaust herself."

" Me neither."

A knock on the door signalled that their meal had arrived. Zane walked over and opened the door. A waitress walked in with a trolley full of delicious Japanese food. Zane thanked her and saw her out. Shutting the door, he looked at everyone, including the illusions and smiled.

" Let's eat!"

Everyone tucked in. Zane watched the people/things that had followed Kadar as if he was looking out of the window, eating his ramen.

I hope they get back soon. I don't know how long I can keep these illusions up, and how long Raven can keep this storm up.

His black paws patted the ground softly as he walked. His nose pressed firmly against the ground, sniffing out his prey. The panther gazed around the corner, at the large warehouse from where the scent came strongly, apparently ungaurded.

Yasuo began to rise to his feet, human once again. He checked himself briefly, making sure his blades were strapped to his back properly. His stomach began to grumble. Food sounded like a sound option. After the fallen was dead, perhaps he'd find his fill. For now however, he had a mission to accomplish.

Lightning streaked across the sky, lighting up the ground and the warehouses eerily. Thunder sounded soon afterwards. What a pity, the stars would not be visible tonight. Yasuo looked towards the brewing clouds briefly. There was something strange about them, very unnatural to spread this quickly. They'll just set the mood, Yasuo thought to himself.

Taking a step back, Yasuo stepped into the shadow of the warehouse behind him. Lightning lit up the area, revealing a bare wall, where a boy once stood.

=========================

The warehouse was dark and damp. Boxes lined the far wall. Two sets of stairs led to an upper level with no walls. Yasuo leaped out of the shadows of some boxes. His panther form blended in well with the lack of light present.

"Konnichiwa, Zodiac," boomed a voice from above "You've found me."

Yasuo's eyes looked upwards to find the fallen standing on the upper level, leaning against the railing. His black wings became visible as he stretched them outwards. The fallen had changed into a pair of black silk pants and a black satin button up shirt that he left open since their last encounter. Yasuo slowly walked to the center of the dark room, changing back into his human form. Standing tall, he faced the angel, saying not a word.

In Japanese the fallen continued, "So, you must be the one that killed my son." Yasuo stood still, unwavered by his words. "So you knew then. How?" Yasuo didn't speak a word. "So you knew that we've been hunting you down for some time now. How did you know?" Still nothing came from the Capricorn's lips. "Fine, let's just finish it."

With that said, the lights were all switched on. Yasuo put up his hand to shield his eyes. Boxes were knocked over, revealing spotlights behind them, which were immediately switched on, aimed at the Capricorn. There had to be at least ten of these spotlights on, all aimed towards Yasuo. No shadows could be found within a thirty or so foot radius of the boy. No way to escape. A trap.

A giant figure walked out onto the walkway with the fallen. A second found his way from the other side. Both now stood next to the black winged figure, towering over him. Worse still, other members of the Yakuza began to walk away from the spotlights, all carrying a weapon of some sort. A few carried chains that they swung around, the others carrying a katana. One held a large spear-like weapon, a naginata.

Taking a deep, defensive stance and grasping the handles of his blades, Yasuo began to count the number of opponents he would have to face. Six from his left, eight from his right and the naginata wielding one stood before him. Fifteen surrounded him, and still the fallen and the giants to handle.

"I came prepared Zodiac," yelled the fallen, "I will not underestimate my foe again." Despite the sound of the chains being twirled and the shuffling of feet, Yasuo could hear cars pulling up. He counted three, full of more Yakuza.

Thunder clapped close by,as Yasuo pulled his blades from their sheaths. He stared at the fallen angel. An ugly smile had creased across the evil creature's face. He seemed so much like Oni at that moment, it frightened Yasuo.

OOC: Okay, come join the party guys. The giants are obviously more half-breeds. Leave the fallen for last if you would.

"I propose that we split up. That way we can cover more ground and find the Duke and the angel a lot more quickly," said Kraven to the group.

"Very well," replied Reoan, "I will head up the group trying to find the angel, Oriel."

"And I will lead the group who will find Astaroth, the Duke of Hell," said Kraven.

"Why should you lead them, Kraven?" asked Jacob, "You have only been with us for less than a day. There are others in this group who have been following Reoan since the beginning of her quest."

Kraven strode over to where Jacob stood, and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, hauling him off his feet.

"I will lead them because I am the one here who has had most experience of facing the Dukes of Hell," Kraven hissed, his face close to Jacob's, "If you think you know Hell better than a former denizen of the place, then by all means you can lead them to Astaroth. But, of course you won't, because we all know you are just Reoan's lapdog. You follow her like a hound!"

Jacob lashed out and punched Kraven in the face, making the demon release his grip and stagger backwards slightly. Blood was dribbling from the corner of his mouth.

"Not bad," he said, wiping the blood from his face, "But we will see how strong you are when you are separated from Reoan. Very soon, Jacob."

We were bred and created for one purpose, to destroy those that apposed the Almighty. We did not question our orders, but held our heads high and cut the throats that were not willing to kneel before the Almighty. We knew nothing else. Just blood, death, and whatever he willed of us.

Now, I fought for no one but myself. Shedding blood of the ritious or any that stood in my way. I knew nothing of fear or death, and love and compassion were almost beyond me. But some how, I managed to take a few stragglers with me. However lost and toremented they were was they're own thing, not mine, and I wanted nothing to do with their pasts. Let their sleeping demons sleep, for they had nothing to do with me. But Oriel's shrieks would show me that I was so very wrong.

Reoan watched, expressionless as Kraven staggered back from Jacob, barking some sort of vengences. The fool, Jacob was a healer; not a fighter. But the Guardian had made it this far, so he had to have been good at something other than healing.

"I may not be able to protect him forever, Kraven. But I assure you, that if his blood lays thick on your hands I will have your head." Reoan managed to crease a smile across her almost delicate face as the others stood and watched.

They had managed to stop by a small village, finding the streets barren, but the hour was surely to blame for this. This Zodiac that had stumbled into their mist was a curious sort and very powerful, or at least he knew his powers much better than the others. Reoan growled suddenly at remembering the Guardian she had met in Central Park.

"Something bothers you, Mistress Reoan," Asariel's soothing voice glided over her and she nearly forgotten what had made her so upset in the first place.

"Memories of one that has seen more forgiveness than I, despite our similarities." Reoan spat softly, drawing Jacob's attention towards her.

Jacob approached her quietly as Kraven gave a look of disgust. The ex-Guardian looked over the healer, his sword shealthed at his side. His strange western clothes, that looked more trouble-some then what they were worth, gave a strange appeal to him. Not one to take part in worldly pleasures with, but an appeal none-the-less.

"Kraven wishes to seperate." Reoan restated. "I will take Amber and Jacob with me. David, you go with Kraven." She suddenly turned sharply towards Asariel, a stern and almost bitter look on her face. "I want you to go with Kraven as well, and watch over the Zodiac. I have no time for his destractions and I find it best for you to stay with Kraven so it will be easier for all of us to find each other again."

Asariel reached out and place a light hand on her cheek, the warmth of his simple embrace swam through the flesh of her cheek and rushed down her neck and into her chest. She closed her eyes softly, to take in all there was to take in before bringing herself back to her task. She stared into the depths of his crimson purple eyes before turning towards Germany.

"If something should go wrong, send the bird." She motioned towards the Zodiac.

"Are you sure that's wise?" David questioned.

Reoan turned to look at the man, his stature strong and confident. He stared back at her with no fear, but a sense of wonder. She could feel his desire to be near her, even now as they watched each other.

"Yes." She said simply as she started on her way, Amber and Jacob following behind her on the dirt road. "Good hunting, Kraven." Reoan yelled over her shoulder.

"Same to you." He called back.

'Well, you Zodiacs never cease to amaze, do you?' Ben said, watching the rain fall as they searched.

'Probably not,' Kariz said, 'Why?'

'It's starting to piss me off.' he said, simply.

She looked at him. He was quite an enigma. She just couldn't seem to figure him out, beyond the fact that he was a jerk who held the door every once in a while.

'Ben?' she said, finally.

'Yeah?'

'How did you end up with Reoan?' she asked.

Ben turned, his eyes contrasting the stormy skies with their bright amusement.

'You really want to know?'

'Yeah.' she replied.

He smiled, 'She beat me.'

'What?'

'I didn't stutter,' he said, 'She beat me in a straight fight. Not many people can do that, powers or not.'

'So, you just work for anyone that beats you up?'

'Nah,' Ben sighed, 'There are other reasons, but only one important one.'

'Which is?'

Ben just smiled.

'Well?' Kariz asked, impatiently.

He stopped as he saw three black cars at the mouth of an alley.

'What is it?' Ima asked.

'Yakuza, I'd guess.' he said with a smile, 'Wonder what they're doing there.'

He headed towards the alley, drawing both pistols as he approached.

"So this is who I'm stuck with for a battle against one of Hell's most powerful denizens. A race traitor, a Grigori half-breed and a pathetic Zodiac. It is almost as if Reoan wishes me to fail," grumbled Kraven as he walked swiftly along the dirt path.

"Do not forget, Kraven, that I am not the only race traitor here. From what I heard, you betrayed your own kind. Otherwise, why would you be fighting against them?" questioned Asariel.

"I left my race because they betrayed me!" shouted Kraven, stopping and turning to Asariel, "I did not betray my race! You did, however, and so I am the one here who has never betrayed their own kind!"

"Calm down, Kraven," said David, "We would be wise to put our differences aside, at least for now. We need to find and kill Astaroth as quickly and efficiently as possible. Now, there are four of us and only one of him, so our main strength will be together, working as a team. We must not fight between ourselves."

"I concur," said K meekly.

"No-one asked your opinion, Zodiac," said Kraven, "But I also believe that we are going to stand the best chance of defeating Astaroth if we stick together. So, at least for now, we must set up a truce. There will be no fighting between ourselves, and in the time it takes us to find Astaroth, we will try and improve our fighting techniques when fighting together. Agreed?"

"Agreed," replied the rest of them, Asariel slightly less enthusiastically. They turned back to the road and continued their quest.

But from the darkness, a single, shadowy figure watched them, his eyes glinting yellow with menace, and he laughed at their feeble attempts to find him. He picked up his weapon, a huge battle-axe, and hefted it onto his shoulder, which was heavily armoured.

"Foolish ones," he said, his deep voice booming in the darkness, "They believe they can defeat me?" He laughed again...

Her fair hand grazed the small girl's right cheek, smearing crimson blood across it. Vibrant dark eyes stared back at the angel; tears sitting just barely on the surface, yearning to break free from their hold. Drawing her hand back, the angel stared at the blood that had been placed on her fair skin. Who's death laid heavy on this young girl's head--how could she kill all for the sake of orders from them.

The angel creased her eyebrows. If she could cry, tears would be streaming down her face like a waterfall, but angel's were unable to cry. Unable to bleed. She brought her eyes up and stared at the girl that was no more than ten years old, it was the first time she had ever seen the one named Reoan.

"I did not believe Adoil when he told me that you would..." the angel trailed off, turning her head away.

"That I would do what, Angel?" The girl cocked her head to the side in bewilderment.

"Do not worry yourself, so Guardian. It is only my mind playing tricks with me." The angel smiled and patted the girl on the head.

"You were so innocent, Reoan. So willing to obey orders given to you. How could any of us have known you would turn to this if given the chance to know what love truly was. To know that you were able to have everything they had." Oriel whispered to herself as she watched Reoan, Jacob and Amber walk into the small central park in Frankfurt, Germany.

"I was wondering when you would seek me out, Guardian." Oriel sent her voice through the park, her perch was stationed on one of the street laps laying over the park.

"I am no longer a Guardian, Angel. I gave that title up when you and the others betrayed me!" Reoan barked back.

The ex-Guardian stood firmly in the center of the park, her sword unsheathed with Jacob and Amber ready for combat behind her. There was a gentle covering of white snow and the travelers all could see their breaths before them. Jacob had managed to find something for Amber and Reoan to cover up with, but it didn't help much. Reoan was still accustom to the scorching heat of the Pit.

"We did not betray you, Reoan." Oriel slowly flew down from her perch and landed, without stirring a flake, about a hundred yards away from Reoan.

"You were suppose to protect me, guide me through this world! You took Adoil from me and then sent him against me. You were my Angel, my Guardian!" Reoan shouted, pointing the tip of her sword at the heavenly creature.

Oriel closed her cobber eyes and took a deep breath. She was dressed in pastel blues, showing her slightly femine frame. Her chestnut hair was pulled back away from her, stretching past her waist in a cascade of rich, thick locks. She was stunningly beautiful, but almost to the point of being too perfect.

"You chose this path, Reoan. Not I." Oriel tried to keep her firm and gentle tone up, but could feel her voice falter slightly.

"And you were suppose to be the one to help me down that path. The long nights I called out your name for guidance and you were no where to be found."

"I had others to help, Reoan. You were not the only I took care of." Oriel looked at Reoan with gentle eyes.

"You left when Adoil came to me as Caleb. Far too convient, Angel." Reoan growled.

"And now what? You plan to kill me? How will this solve anything, Reoan."

Reoan snickered. "Precisely. You will be sent to be judged, Angel," Reoan smile widened, "and if my guess is right, you will know what its like to suffer as I have."

A hand punched out from the ground, then returned into the ground. Again and again it punched its way out, and out came a woman. Her face full of hate and wrath, she panted for breath and grinded her teeth. ?I am alive? and let me tell y?all something? angels must die.? Standing up slowly she looked around, she then spotted what she was looking for. Kneeling down she picked up he bamboo stick that was neatly placed on top of her burial site. Shaking her head she started away from the burial site, in the middle of no where. For a second she closed her eyes trying to sense all Zodiacs, she felt them fighting, she felt them suffering. ?Good, I am gonna kill them too, along with the Angels??

Looking around she growled still grinding her teeth. Almost limping on both feet down a hill she found herself behind a small tavern. She approached the window slowly peeking in from the side, she saw that the tavern was closed and the owner was cleaning the bar. Taking the corner of the tavern she quickly ran to the front opening the door and barging in. ?Can I help you?? the shopkeeper was rather round, his hair was black and thick, but not as thick as his mustache. ?Just tell me where are we?? The shopkeeper started to laugh, ?You must be a crazy one. This is Frankfurt, Germany, well the outskirts of Frankfurt that is.

Sensing something strong Emily walked out the tavern hearing the shopkeeper snicker. Bringing her arm up in the air then swiping it down to her side caused the big tavern to collapse. ?Who?s laughing now?? Flipping her hair she smirked, giving her body a little sway. ?I?m baaaack?
