Seibzeihn
Asariel allowed his smile to return, only slightly dissatisfied with the current situation. Of course he would have preferred to travel with Reoan, but if she wished him to assault Astaroth, so be it. He assumed she had good reason behind her commands. With his glaive resting easily across his shoulders, Astaroth struck a slower pace, putting him alongside the demon, Kraven, and allowing K and David to walk ahead. The only one who had shown any kind of backbone in Reoan's retinue, Asariel had been somewhat impressed with the way Kraven handled himself -- a desire to stand alone, rather than give up his will like some of the others, Jacob coming to Asariel's mind. There was a difference between serving, and living to serve. "I assume you know where we are going?" mused Asariel, raising his eyes to the sky. "Of course I do," spat Kraven. "What do you think I am, a Zodiac? I know what I am doing." "Of course," said the fallen soothingly. "I did not mean it that way. But I would feel more confident with that reassurance, since I do not believe we will be receiving much in the way of help from those two..." here Asariel inclined his head towards the two walking ahead. "They seem inexperienced in their ways." "You would do well not to underestimate anyone in Reoan's company," frowned Kraven to himself, but not before Asariel detected a hint of doubt in his voice. "They are not as experienced as us, this much we both know, methinks." Asariel allowed his eyes to drift to the demon beside him. "At any rate, as you said, working together is our best bet, but it is also a gamble. There are times when such a strategy can become a liability, if others in the team cannot keep up." "Make sure you are not one of them, fallen," Kraven sneered slightly, and stepped up his pace, leaving Asariel in his wake. "Fear not, dear Kraven..." laughed Asariel quietly. "I won't be."
demonchild781
Reoan's fragile body flew through the cold night air and landed with a sickening thud onto the cement walkway of the park. Her body slid about fifty feet on the powder like snow until she ran into a park bench. Her sword shreiked across the cement after her and stopped just an arms length from her head. "Reoan!" Amber bellowed out. Reoan struggled to push herself off the ground. "No," she shouted, thrusting a hand towards the girl. "Stay with him." Reoan groaned as she slammed her outstretched hand on the hilt of her sword as she pulled herself to her feet. Amber pressed her lips together and held back her tears as she pulled Jacob further onto her lap. His breathing was shallow. She timidly placed her hand onto the deep wound that ran from his hair-line down the side of his face and flew down to his chest. Blood was every where. Amber wished so desperately that she had Jacob's power so she could heal him. "Give up, Reoan. Please." Oriel stood with her feet just slightly apart, her clothes still laying lightly on her body, and the tip of her glorious sword of light laid gently on the ground. "You can't possibly defeat me." Reoan staggered forward as she lifted her blade, noticing that it seemed a lot heavier than it did before. "I will not stop until you are dead!" Reoan growled, stumbling backwards, but still remaining on her feet. "Reoan, look at yourself, you're as good as dead." Oriel said simply despite how much she was suffering instead to watch the girl she had grown to love as if she were her own daughter. "Please, Reoan I beg you. Turn away now. Don't make me send you back to Hell." Reoan cried out, finding a new strength as she charged at the Angel. Oriel parried easily and Reoan tumbled to the ground, her sword flying from her side. Oriel looked pettifully at the fallen ex-Guardian as she slowly made her way towards her. Reoan staggered to her feet, barely able to keep herself up right. "I'm sorry to do this to you yet again, Reoan." Oriel closed her eyes as she drew back her sword. "NOOOO!" A long wale let lose as Oriel opened her eyes to see her blade about to cut through the small girl that was traveling with Reoan. Attempt as she may, Oriel just couldn't pull her sword up in time. Suddenly a brillant light shot from Amber's body and engulfed the three women in its embrace as uncontrollable screams left Oriel's throat. It was so sudden and overwhelming that Reoan had to sheild her eyes from its brillance. With a sudden sound of something striveling, the light was gone. Reoan opened her eyes to watch both Angel and half-demon fall to the bare ground below. The snow started to fall again, very lightly, and Reoan found herself alone. She took a deep breath and noticed that there was no sting from her broken ribs. She grabbed her rib cage and then looked at her once tattered body. "I'm healed?" Reoan searched her body quickly and then rushed to Amber's side. She picked the girl up and pulled her into her arms. She was limp. Worry faced across her face as she checked for vitials. She was fine, not a single wound on her. "No...oh no." Some one sobbed suddenly and Reoan looked up to see Oriel, or what was left of her. Her wings were completely, not even stubs to show that she was even an angel at one point. Her body was horribly managled and her face--Reoan had to turn away, it was just too much to take in at once. Reoan stood slowly, picking up Amber with her. Oriel turned on her hands and butt to look up at the healed Reoan. Tears streamed down her face as fear took hold of her suddenly. Reoan walked up to her, turning to the side to look down at her. "I will show you mercy this night," Reoan paused suddenly, realizing she could no longer call her an angel. Reoan snorted as a devious smile played across her lips. "Oriel. May you know what its like to have the knowledge of the greatness you once stood for and live among these mortals and their impurity. I'm sure you'll find Hell a better opition then this place." Reoan snickered as she left Oriel crippled and weeping in the center of the park. "What happened?" Amber asked, sitting up next to Jacob on the warm sand of some beach. "And how did we get here?" Reoan was silent, looking over the dark ocean before her, her knees pulled up and her arms wrapped around them. She didn't turn to look at Amber, just continued to stare across the water. Amber turned her head to look at Jacob, he was wide awake starring up at the stars, all his wounds were healed as well. "You saved Reoan," Jacob said softly above the roar of the waves. "How?" Amber almost shreeked. "The only one who would know that is Reoan, and she hasn't spoken a word since I woke up." "Did she heal you?" "I'm guessing so." Jacob reached up towards his head feeling the small scar that ran down his chest. Reoan had managed to heal the wound well enough on his face that know one would know he had a mortal wound racing down it just a few hours ago. "We will join Kraven soon. But for now, we'll rest here until he calls for us." Reoan spoke up suddenly, her voice just aduiable over the waves. Jacob sat up as both him and Amber stared longingly at the ex-Guardian. Something had happened when they were unconcious, but neither new exactly what and probably would never know.
Citrus
A few miles away Emily watched the commotion that was going on. The light had blinded her for a few seconds, when she turned around Reoan, with Amber and Jacob were on there way all ready. Running silently behind Emily entered the park and looked at the mangled body that lay on the floor. Covering her mouth she let out on e simple word.. ?Disgusting..? The once beautiful angel was lying there murmuring something to herself. Emily was surprised that her jaw bone even worked after all the damage that was inflicted upon her face. Still covering her mouth Emily walked away from the horrible site, and then stopping once more she turned on her heel walking toward the mangled corpse one more. Kneeling down she replaced her bamboo stick with Oriel?s sword. ?Sorry girl. But I don?t think you?ll need it.? Walking out the park Emily looked around wondering where Reoan and the other two had gone. Closing her eyes she focused on Reoan?s presence, she then found it. Reoan was located at some beach, exact location unknown. Grinning Emily teleported there in a flash of white light, it was a new power she had used to learn to get to Reoan at the park. Emily appeared on a beach, and three heads looked toward her. ?Who are you?? The younger girl spoke up, presumably Amber. ?I am Emily, unfortunately I am a Zodiac-?Emily was cut off by Reoan standing up with her sword in hand and walking toward her. Emily who was sighing lifted her sword. ?I do not wish for a fight?but if that is what you need me to do then so be it.? Running toward each other the young women engaged in a fight of the swords. Panting was all that was head during the fight, the other two sat there silently watching, and hoping death was not soon to follow. Emily turned around and blocked a blow to her back by placing her sword on her back. Reoan did not have a facial expression the whole time during the fight. Placing her sword in the sand Emily leaned over it panting for breath. ?What are you here for?? Reoan asked her question with no emotion whatsoever. ?I want to kill the Angels?and the Zodiacs.? Emily?s voice was raspy; she was not used to fighting someone of such power. ?But why are you bothering us?? ?I want to join you? and help you.? ?Very well, what is your name?? ?Emily? Kamuro
K walked silently beside David, who did the same. He could hear the subdued chatter between Kraven and Asariel and did his best to listen closely to the conversation. He heard their condescending undertones when they spoke of Zodiacs, he wondered why they thought of him so. Although he had a certain dislike for the demon already, he longed for the attention and admiration of others and wondered why the label of Zodiac burdened him so. He could see the two men were blatantly strong, but he figured he could hold his own, unless there was something he was missing? He stared at the ground, converging in a hard concentration. What could it be...? OOC: Sorry it's so short.
Omino Jaku
Another clap of thunder as the blood poured over the young Zodiac's blade. The tearing of flesh excited and sickened the boy. Ripping the blade through with the flick of his wrist made the sick wet sound of breaking bones. Slicing through the swordsman's abdomen and spine Yasuo kept his momentum with his right hand, bringing it around to fend off the other attacker to his left. A clang of metal and the katana's wielder grew wide eyed. Yasuo's left blade found it's sheath in the chest of this opponent. Twisting the opposite way he needed to defend against another swordsman to his right. Blocking two swords he twirled his way inbetween the two, making a mark in either enemy as he left the two to scream in agony. Leaning back, Yasuo dodged a thrust of the naginata, using his right blade to reinforce the distance. He spun right, adding more distance between him and the wielder of the naginata. Another thrust by this warrior sent Yasuo to the floor, attempting to duck down farther. The blade nicked the tender flesh inbetween his left shoulder and neck. He sensed another fighter coming to deliver a blow to him. Quickly morphing into the panther and leaping into the face of another man charging from the immediate left, he dodged the blade. Clawing and biting at this human's neck sent a river of blood gushing into Yasuo's mouth. The taste was invigorating and livening. Washing over his teeth and tongue, the warmth overwhelming him. Flowing down his throat he could feel the urge to devour his victim, to taste his flesh and drain his life with each deadly bite. Leaping from his victim over two swordsmen he came into contact with a heavy chain, landing onto the sweet spot of his ribs. Crashing to the floor, human once again, Yasuo needed to spin away from the swing of another chain that hit the floor with enough force to make a crack in the cement floor. He slashed out at a swordsman as he rose to his feet. The man dodged, losing his balance and staggering back a few steps. The other fighters regained their composure and all took a defensive stance, slowly filling in around the boy. Breathing heavily, Yasuo took notice to the pain in his chest and shoulder. Repositioning himself he finally began to focus on the commotion outside. Something was coming. Something strong. A lot of different energies could be felt. The pain was making it so Yasuo couldn't tell how many, or if they were friend or foe. Things still didn't look good for Yasuo. The giant figures were walking down the staircase now, probably to join in the struggle. Gazing up at the fallen, the angel leaned back off of the railing, and stared at the two front doors. With silent words, Yasuo could hear, "Zodiac...". Smiling, Yasuo focused back onto the battle at hand. A sword was being lifted high into the sky, ready to cleave Yasuo in two.
Blayze
They walked on in silence, kicking up clouds of dust as they went. Asariel and Kraven walked side-by-side, as did K and David. Kraven was unsure about Asariel. He seemed as though he could be trusted, but only by those he liked, and Kraven wasn't sure whether he liked him or not. But, he had seen him fight, and on the basis of that, Kraven preferred to be fighting alongside him rather than against him. This didn't mean that Kraven was a coward, it just meant that he wanted to avoid any unnecessary conflict. They walked on, through fields and up hills that covered Spain, the dusty ground beginning to hurt their feet after a while, the hot sun not helping a great deal. They got to a field, and Kraven stopped, signalling for the others to stop as well. He looked around, feeling a presence he had not felt for a long time. He slipped one hand onto his sword, and raised his head, smelling the air. He could not smell his foe, but he knew that he was here. "Don't go anywhere," he said to the others. He walked off, trying to find his unseen enemy, his hand still on his sword. He turned around to look at his comrades, only to see that they were no longer there. "Idiots," he muttered to himself, "I told them not to wander off." "But they didn't, Kraven," said a deep, booming, almost ethereal voice from behind him. He whirled around, and saw a towering figure standing over his comrades, who were lying on the floor, apparently unconscious. This figure was fearsome to look at. He was easily over eight feet tall, with huge, rippling muscles that threatened to burst from the long black robe he wore. His body was covered in black metal armour, most of it adorned with spikes and horns. His face was obscured by the large helmet made of the same black metal as his armour, with huge horns coming out of either side. All that could be seen of his face were two cold, yellow eyes, glinting from the inside of his helmet. He had a huge battle-axe hefted over his shoulder, almost the length and circumference of a large tree, impossible for any mortal to lift. "Astaroth," said Kraven, "I was wondering when you would turn up. I felt your stench from a mile off." "Still so cocky, Kraven, even when faced with certain death," replied Astaroth, "You haven't changed a bit, except your body has gone through a few changes recently." "Perhaps. But I am still the demon who has killed thousands of your troops single-handedly." "But you could barely destroy your own brother without dying. How are you going to manage to fight a Duke of Hell?" "I will try my best." Then, with speed impossible for someone of his size, Astaroth lunged at Kraven, his axe swinging. It hit him in the stomach, throwing him backwards into a tree, which exploded into splinters on contact. He flipped to his feet, drawing his swords and ducking as Astaroth swung again. Behind the demon, Kraven saw Asariel getting to his feet, using his glaive as a lever to lift himself. Kraven drew his sword across Astaroth's leg, drawing blood but apparently causing him no pain at all. The demon laughed, and Kraven ran as he smashed his axe into the ground where Kraven had been standing. The ground rumbled as the axe struck. All Kraven had to do was keep the demon distracted for a few more seconds... He ran, dodging and ducking as Astaroth swung his weapon again and again, causing the ground to shake violently. Then, Kraven saw the Fallen Angel behind Astaroth, drawing his glaive back, and ramming it into the demon's back, between two plates of armour. The demon howled, dropping his weapon, causing a tremor to run through the ground. "Now, Kraven!" shouted Asariel, and Kraven jumped at the demon, his swords flashing as he flipped head-first over the top of the demon. He landed on his knees, his arms and swords out to either side of him, a single drop of blood dripping from one of the blades. Astaroth turned around, and raised his massive fists, but then fell to the ground, a long red line appearing across his face. Kraven had all but cut the top of his head off. The demon turned to ash, which blew away on the wind. "Thank you, Asariel," said Kraven grudgingly. He sheathed his swords, and as Asariel went to try and wake David and K, he walked over to the axe, which still lay on the ground. He bent down to touch it, and as he did, an image flashed into his brain. He pulled away, fearing what he had seen, but then, his fear overruled by curiousity, he touched it again. He saw visions. He saw his team-mates falling, being cut down, or incinerated, or stabbed, one by one falling to the ground. He saw them all dying, every single Zodiac, Asariel, David, Jacob, Amber, and then he saw Reoan. She was kneeling at the feet of an angel, one who Kraven recognised as Adoil, the Hand of God. She was bleeding heavily, her breath ragged and gurgling, as though there was liquid in her lungs. Her face was torn and beaten, her body cut and broken. She had been tortured by Adoil, and now he saw the angel lifting a sword, and cutting her down, murdering her. Then, he saw himself, a proud demon, standing alongside the Dukes of Hell he had been working to destroy. They stood on the Earth, now a ball of rock completely engulfed by flame, all life incinerated. And yet, here he stood, next to his most deadly enemies, laughing at the demise of the human race, using the last human burning to a crisp as entertainment. "NOO!" he shouted, letting go of the axe and falling backwards. The weapon crumbled, and turned to ash, as Astaroth's body had done. "What is it, Kraven?" asked David, now revived, his huge figure standing over Kraven. "I just saw something. I mean, I saw many things. I saw all of my new team-mates falling, being killed by demons and angels alike. I saw Reoan being tortured, and I saw myself at the head of all of this. I caused this death and destruction. I became a Duke of Hell. That is something I cannot allow to happen. I must fight with Reoan forever, I see that now. I cannot allow her to be destroyed, as she holds the power to tip the balance." "You saw all of this? In the time it took you to take hold of the weapon? But you were only holding it for a few seconds." "It seemed like longer than that. But, David, you must promise me one thing." "What is it?" "You must promise me that if I ever look as though I am about to join the Dukes of Hell, you must kill me instantly, without mercy. Do you understand?" (OOC: Hope that's okay for you, DC, if its not just PM me and I'll change anything)
Astdis
OOC: note to Ben ; Ima's at the hotel actually :catgirl: Kariz watched Ben as he walked in front of her. He seemed perfectly ready to fight with the zodiacs, whatever their cause, when just a week before he had fought with Reoan. They walked to the warehouse, Kariz climbing the fire escape, the boys heading for the closed double doors. As if on cue, she kicked in the door and walked onto the platform, gun drawn. Kariz placed three carefully aimed shots. One knocked the sword from the air in front of the Zodiac. The second two shot down a plank from the ceiling which punctured a large gas tank on the back wall. The next few seconds were a blur. Kadar started to clear a path between where he stood and the zodiac on the floor. Ben held his ground, firing on anything that moved that wasn?t Zodiac. Gas started to spread across the floor. A man started for her, she attemted to bore a hole through him with her gun. She saw out of the corner of her eye Kadar and the other zodiac trying to get to the doors. demonchild781
OOC: Starts before Kariz & the others show up. IC: Sartael landed softly on the railing not far from were this fallen of the Yakuza stood. She watched as the young Zodiac thrash his way through his foes. She smiled softly as the fallen leaned over the railing some. "He's amazing..." whispered the fallen. "I told you I would bring them to you." Sartael leaned up against one of the metal beams of, crossing her arms as she watched Yasuo transform into his panther form and then back again. "Ah yes, the other Zodiac." The fallen said monotonely as he stepped back from the railing and sending his gaints down to the floor below. "They are smarter than you think," Sartael said sweetly. "I take your warning into thought, Angel. You have done much, I shall keep to our bargin." The fallen said. "Good," and with that Sartael vanished from sight. ******************************* "I do not trust this Emily," Jacob said as they walked off the train. He followed close behind the ex-Guardian with Amber and Emily bringing up the rear. "She will keep the zodiac busy, if they have choosen to destroy me." Reoan whispered softly as she walked through the crowds of people. The others followed quietly behind her as she entered the station. A wave of energy rushed over Reoan's body and she turned her head to see Kraven, K, David and Asariel standing in the shadows not far from the front glass doors. She tried not to smile as she walked over to them. "Who's the girl?" Kraven was the first to speak as they approached. "Emily. She will be traveling with us." Reoan said simply. "She better not get in the way." Kraven said harshly. "I can hear you, ya know?" Emily barked. Kraven was about to say something when Reoan cut him off. His eyes grew wide as Reoan held both him and the new girl by the throat. "I will have no fighting amongst us, do you understand?" Reoan growled. "I don't need your conflict getting in my way." Kraven and Emily both nodded their head in approval and Reoan dropped them both. They stumbled back, holding their throats as Reoan started towards the glass doors. "Where is our next destination?" Asariel spoke up softly. Reoan turned to face him, a wicked smile on her face. "They're on their way as we speak. Asariel creased his eyebrows as Reoan exited the train station. "Lucifer." Jacob walked up beside the Fallen, still watching Reoan. "What?" Amber asked as she joined the Guardian. Jacob turned to her and smiled. "Luficer and Asrael are on their way to take Reoan's life." "Why would Lucifer want to kill Reoan?" Kraven was the next to speak. "He made a deal with God. If he kills Reoan and sends her back to Hell, he'll be able to return to Heaven as an angel." Jacob said as he started after Reoan. Amber was soon to follow and then David, leaving the other four to watch. OOC: Those apart of my little gathering, could you guys do some socializing? Blayze
Kraven walked calmly out into the street, trying to see where Reoan had gone. Unable to see her by simply looking up and down the street, he settled for slumping into the nearest bar. He sat down at the bar and ordered a strong drink. He threw it back and shuddered. Earth was the best at making cocktails. He turned slightly to look around the bar, and found the new girl, Emily, sitting next to him. He jumped slightly, then returned to his drink, ignoring her completely. "Aren't you going to buy me a drink?" she asked him expectantly. "Does it look like I am?" growled Kraven, not looking up from his glass, instead opting to stare into the amber-coloured liquid, deep in thought. "Fine, I'll get one myself," she said, ordering a drink from the bar. "Knock yourself out." "You're a demon, aren't you?" she asked him, swigging a drink. "Clever little Zodiac. What's the matter, are you scared of me?" "Quite the opposite. I think that in this little group, you and I are most alike." "I am nothing like the Zodiacs. I have my pride." "Oh really? It doesn't seem like you do, following Reoan around like a little terrier all the time. Seems to me like you're kinda spineless." "Spineless? You forget yourself, girl. I am anything but spineless," he hissed, grabbing the girl by the collar and drawing her face close to his, "I have seen things which you could never dream about, and I have faced dangers that would leave you cowering in a corner, begging for your life. You think you know of evil, Emily, but you are much mistaken. Pure evil is a thing which I have witnessed first-hand, and, let me assure you, it is nowhere near anything you have ever seen. So you may call me spineless when you have seen half the things I have seen. Is that understood?" "If you've seen so much danger, so much evil, then why do you stick with Reoan? She doesn't seem so tough." "This from the girl she beat so easily?" Kraven laughed a little, going back to his drink, "I stick with Reoan for reasons beyond your comprehension, little girl." "Try me. I've seen a lot." "If Reoan does not survive, the balance of the entire universe could be in jeopardy. The Dukes of Hell will rise, and turn this Earth into a hell that would make you wish you were dead, just so you could escape from the torment. Only Reoan can truly stop it. Others, like myself, can delay it, but she is the only one who can stop it completely. She is destined to destroy the Dukes of Hell, be it directly or through others, such as myself, David, Asariel. She has proved herself worthy of this destiny by defeating one of the Dukes already, but there are many more where he came from. And Lucifer is heading our way now. That could make things very, very interesting." "So what about the Angels? Why is she destroying them if they play no part in this?" "I never said that they play no part in this. As well as for Reoan's lust for revenge being fulfilled, if she destroys the Angels, then there will be no-one in the way to stop her from kiling the Dukes." "But why would the Angels stop the Dukes from being killed?" "Because the death of every single Duke of Hell would upset the balance irreparably. Life cannot continue without evil, no matter how much good there is in the world." "But, in that case, why are we destroying the Dukes? If it is going to upset the balance, then why are we doing it?" "You ask far too many questions, little girl. Also, I believe you are underage for this bar." "I'm 19!" she protested angrily, "I'm not too young for the bar! Anyway, I'm really over 100!" "Well, that is still young compared to me. I believe my soul is over 400 years old." "I don't care how old your soul is!" she shouted, flicking her hair out of her eyes, but when she went back to look at him, he was gone, leaving her to pay the tab... Citrus
Emily smiled, ?Very manly.? Paying the bartender she headed toward the door, opening the door a cool breeze brushed against her face. Looking around she saw a dark figure in an alley across the street. Laughing she ran across the street toward the dark figure. ?Leaving me to pay the tab wasn?t funny; the drink you ordered was almost $12!? Her voice was annoyed as she stomped her foot to add emotion. The dark figure only chuckled and crossed his arms over his chest. Emily sighed and pulled him out the alley and on to the sidewalk that was hustling and bustling with the people of the city. ?What are you doing?? Kraven looked around as he stumbled into the sidewalk. He put his hands in his pocket and fixed himself. ?Why are you so mean? Just because you?re a demon doesn?t mean you actually have to be so angry all the time.? ?Who said I was angry?? ?Look at your face! It has no emotion; you won?t even laugh at jokes.? A small smile formed on his face. Emily punched him on the arm ?See that?s the spirit! I may be tough at times but I know that having fun can always get it?s time in someone?s day.? ?I guess so, little girl.? ?And if we are going to be traveling with Reoan together to have to stop calling me little girl.? She ran her hands through her hair and sighed. ?Where to next?? OOC: Sorry Fallen, I didn't know what to post off of. demonchild781
"What bothers you, Madam Reoan?" The soft and brassy voice swept around her head like a powerful drug and eased almost every muscle in her body. Reoan ushered Jacob, David and Amber to continue on into the hotel. Jacob lingered a little longer than the others, but eventually walked through the glass doors of the massive hotel. "Old memories, Fallen." Reoan replied softly, turning to face him. His powerful form lingered over top of her and she felt at ease, despite the memories that flooded her mind. "You should rest." Reoan watched as his lips moved. She brought her eyes up quickly when she realized that she had been caught by their movement. Asariel smiled as he reached out to touch Reoan's cheek, but she pulled away before his finger tips could touch her. Asariel stood there, his hand in mid air and pain slowly creasing across his face. Reoan took a deep breath and threw her head back, staring longingly into the sun. Its warmth burning her eyes and forcing her to close them. The warmth slid from her eyes and into her hair, down her neck, over her shoulders and down her back. It had been so long since she could enjoy the warmth of the sun and not the scorching heat of the Pits of Hell. Suddenly Reoan pulled her head down and her eyes flashed open to stare directly into the eyes of Asariel the crimson purple gaze so inviting. "Lucifer," she growled. Asariel pulled his hands back after attempting to touch her bare arms, he looked behind him at the busy streets of one of Spain's most populated cities. "Where?" "We have to find the others." Reoan swirled around and rushed towards the glass doors. "Find Kraven and Emily, and where ever the other Zodiac ran off to." Reoan called over her shoulder as she raced through the overly crowded hotel. "Can I help you miss?" A desk clerk asked Reoan as she rushed up to the desk. "Room for a traveling group under Amber Swan?" Reoan gasped. "Ah yes, the lovely lady is in room 226." The clerk turned around to collect the keys and swirled around gracefully to hand her them. "Second floor miss." The man smiled. Reoan nodded her head and grabbed the keys from the man's hand and rushed for the stairs. Jacob. Reoan called out in her head. Reoan? She felt him call back. Lucifer is coming. Reoan rounded the landing on the stair case and rushed up more steps. Reoan. Something about how his mental voice came through stopped her dead on the steps. She was half bent over, one hand on the railing and one foot ready to slam down on the next step. "Hello Guardian." Reoan's eyes grew wide when she recognized the voice and then allowed a snirker to streak across her face as she swirled around to face the once fallen angel. He was still dressed in his brillant white suite with his long ebony hair falling around his face, but it was the soft gray color of his wings that showed what Lucifer was here for. "Morning Star." Reoan said softly. Just then Jacob burst through the door above them. Reoan didn't have to look to know it was him. Lucifer brought his eyes up briefly to take in the Guardian's sight before looking back at Reoan again. "Your savior is her, Guardian." Lucifer smiled almost bitterly towards her. "He is not my savior, but my Guardian." Reoan said coldly. "You are the one that will need saving, Morning Star." Reoan sneered. Lucifer smiled as he tucked away his wings and placed his hands in his pockets. There was a momentary silence between all of them as Reoan realized she didn't have her sword with her. She grumbled to herself as she slid her hand from the railing. "Reoan! NO!" The sudden cries of Jacob swirled in her head and blinded her from whatever she was suppose to see. The stair case swelled with the thickness and anticapation of a fight as Reoan forced herself to clear her body of Jacob's emotions. Reoan could not believe what she saw. Some how Jacob was before her, motionless while Lucifer had his hand extended. Reoan searched them both and suddenly Jacob stumbled backwards. Reoan caught him and fell back onto the stairs with Jacob in her arms. She looked down to see her dagger deep within Jacob's chest. "No..." Reoan stammered, her hand trembling as she reached for the weapon. She shook her head as she pulled her hand away, afraid to touch it. It was far too deep for her to heal him, without risking death upon herself as well. Her lip quivered as she fought back the rage of emotions that swept through her. Jacob took a ragged breath, blood drizzling from his lips as he looked up at her. Just then David and Amber came rushing onto the stair case above them. Amber was motionless, her breath caught in her throat as David stumbled down towards them. Reoan searched Jacob's face as she could feel him slipping away. Reoan shook her head as tears threaten to run down her face. "Don't cry," Jacob spoke, nearly choking on his words. "Don't talk." Reoan sobed, running her hands over his pain stricken face. Then I shall tell you this way. He tried to smile, but went into a fit of coughing. Reoan placed her hand on the other side of his chest and slowly eased his pain. Reoan, never give up. Kraven and Asariel will help you just as loyally as David and Amber. You will learn to trust them. Jacob managed to smile, blood streaked across his teeth. Reoan creased her eyebrows in pain as she tried to keep him from feeling too much pain. I will always be with you, Reoan. Please never forget that and my love for you. Reoan closed her eyes tightly as tears slid down her face as she felt Jacob's energy fading quickly. I will never forget. Never. Reoan stood up as Jacob took his last painful breath. She pulled her sword that was slung over David's shoulder as he took the limp Guardian into his arms. "No....NO!" Amber screamed, falling to the floor of the landing she was on, weeping uncontrollably. "You will pay for this, Morning Star." Reoan growled as she pointed the tip of her sword at Lucifer. OOC: Ok, I need an all out war between Lucifer and Azrael, and my little group. Seibzeihn
--------------------- "Ah-Ahahahahahaa!" Asariel was on his knees, tears of insane laughter pouring from his eyes. From the netherese that surrounded him, wisps of red and purple contrasted the black, empty void beyond. It swirled and fluctuated in time with his laughter, as if it was a living thing. From beyond sight came a voice, one that sounded not unlike Asariel's, but deeper. You have felt his death. The death of the one who loved Reoan. The way is clear now. The way is open now. The fallen leaned back on his elbows, a wild smile painted on his face. "Yes, Half-Brother, the time is now -- the way to an eternal nothingness is open! But..." here again he smiled more openly, as if that were possible. "...I at least expected a good show! Ahahahahaaa! He died as easily as one would gut a fish, ahahaha!" Asaraiel allowed the mirth of his good fortune to consume him once more. From the void, the silhoutte of a black figure with wings could be seen, watching him. Do not underestimate Lucifer. The fallen ceased his laughter briefly, his smile replaced with a look of disgust. "The Morning Star? Hah, do not patronize me. He does not know which side he fights for, and without a definite purpose, he is weak. The Morning Star holds no sway over me." Yet he holds sway over the soul of one whom you loved. Chills raced up and down Asariel's spine. He rose to his feet, anger replacing the inklings of fear in his veins. Clenching his right hand into a fist, he shook it into the darkness. "He would not dare. It would seal his own destruction all the more quickly." I do not wish to see you fail. "I will not fail, Half-Brother." The image of the black angel faded, and Asariel felt his body growing light. As the mental projection of himself began to flicker out of existence, the fallen angel let his eyes rise to the imaginary heavens, and released the smallest of sighs. "Saithe...please wait for me. I am coming soon." --------------------------- Asariel grounded both his feet and drew deeply upon the energy of the Netherese, filling himself with the throbbing dark powers. Reaching out, he could feel the presence of Reoan, and also that of Lucifer, several meters to his left and a floor down. Moving without thinking, Asariel launched himself sideways, crashing through the wall into a vacant room. As soon as his feet were planted once more, the fallen leaped upward, turning a backflip that caused him to strike the ground with such force that it crumbled inwards, sending the fallen downward. Landing amidst a shower of rubble and plaster, Asariel found himself behind Reoan, who was between him and Lucifer. She cradled the body of Jacob with such care and compassion that it brought a smile to Asariel's face. You and I...we are not so different. Even more so, now. Reoan had drawn her sword and was pointing it at Lucifer -- Asariel drew his glaive from where it hung across his back and held it point-up like a staff, allowing his eyes to meet Lucifer's. "I don't think we've met, Morning Star. I am called Asariel." The fallen drew a bow, one hand still wrapped around the glaive hilt. Lucifer regarded him with an expression Asariel could not read. "You know my name, fallen one. And yours is somewhat irrelevant to me." Asariel grinned wickedly. "We will see about that." OOC: Yes, a brief journey through Asariel's subconscious. But I haven't made any plot changes (obviously) or anything, so, onward then!
Blayze
Kraven strode along the street, with the girl, Emily, following behind him. He was at least three paces ahead of her, and he was gaining more ground, as his strides were a lot longer than hers. Suddenly, he felt a twinge of pain in his chest, one which made him fall to one knee. He had never felt this pain before, but he knew at once what had caused it. Lucifer. Kraven hunched, his back arching, his eyes burning with fury. The one who had betrayed him was here, most likely along with Azrael, his little lapdog. Kraven growled, a deep, throaty, animalistic growl, and he screamed in pain and jerked upright as something happened to him. The back of his shirt ripped, and two enormous, jet-black wings burst out of his back. The people walking along the street gasped, and stepped back from this strange sight. He rose to his feet, and looked at the wings. Nothing like this had ever happened before, in any of his bodies. He smiled, and drew his swords. "You might want to meet me in that hotel," he said to Emily, his voice now deep, growling, gesturing towards the hotel where he felt Lucifer's presence. He lifted off from one foot, and leapt into the air, his wings spreading out behind him, flapping to make him fly. He soared through the air, with ease that could only be accomplished by one with experience, even though he had none. He flew towards the hotel, his swords drawn, and he sensed where Lucifer was, smashing through a window into the stairwell, folding his wings behind him as he entered. Broken glass fell to the floor around him. The group already standing in the stairwell whirled around to witness this new arrival, and for the first time in centuries, Kraven saw his ultimate enemy. Dressed in a crisp white suit, with long black hair, and his grey wings. "Lucifer," he snarled, his grip on his swords tightening. He glanced around quickly. Amber, Asariel, David and Reoan stood facing Lucifer and Azrael, but there was something wrong. Jacob lay on the floor, motionless, with Lucifer's dagger protruding form his chest. "As eloquent as ever, Kraven," said the Morning Star calmly, "I see the centuries haven't touched you." "You killed the Guardian!" he shouted, standing up, reaching his full height, which seemed much more powerful now, "You killed Jacob!" "Indeed I did, but I don't see why it is any of your problem, Kraven. You hated him." "I did not hate him! I respected him. He was a powerful ally, one I was glad to fight alongside of! I may have shown him contempt, but that is my very nature as a demon!" "You are no demon, Kraven. You are a hypocrite," said Lucifer softly, "You swore revenge on Reoan, but now you join her, and you weep for the death of her Guardian? Life on the mortal plain has softened you, Kraven." "I have made my choice, and I stand alongside Reoan, and I will fight with her." He pointed his sword at the Morning Star, joining Reoan and Asariel in preparing to fight... Kamuro
K watched from a distance as the man they called "Lucifer" prepared to battle the team. He watched Lucifer, who stood with the utmost of confidence, even before such powers as Kraven and Asariel. He'd watched them battle before and couldn't see how anyone could stand up to them without a mere tremble of fear. Not this time K thought to himself as he ran up, standing adjacent to Kraven. "What are you doing Zodiac?" Kraven spat in his direction. "I won't be sitting this one out, it's my turn to show what I can do." K spoke triumphantly. Kraven glared at him, his swords drawn "This is not the time for your novice attempts at battle Zodiac!" he shouted in anger. "I'll not lay down my axe to you nor Lucifer and I will protect Reoan with every ounce of strength I have!" K shouted back, trying his best to sound valiant in his attempt to join the battle. Reaon turned sharply "Kraven, leave him be, it's his choice," she spoke calmly. Kraven grunted loudly "If you get in my way I swear I'll take you down," he spoke, resuming his battle stance and reverting his glare to that of the demon standing before them. "Trouble in paradise?" Lucifer spoke with a muffled laugh under his breath. Maybe it was mere coincidence but everyone there gave a quick laugh in suit. "We're far from paradise," said K, laughing a bit more as he flung the large axe from his back. "You'll see soon enough..." he spoke, spinning it swiftly and bringing it to his right side, ready for battle. OOC: I didn't wanna start the battle quite yet just in case anyone else wanted to say something. Hope this is alright with you guys, I'm ready to hold my own :animeangr
demonchild781
Reoan growled at Lucifer's comment as she watched the Zodiac take a fighting stance, his powerful axe slung over his shoulder. "David!" the Grigori half-breed's name burst from her lips in an almost animalistic snarl. "Reoan." He called back, still holding firmly to Jacob's body. "Take Amber to the room." "What of Jac--." David was cut off by the clang of metal against metal. The massive man heaved Jacob up onto his shoulder and started up the stairs, ushering Amber to follow. The girl did not hesitate, her hand covering her mouth as she rushed towards the room. Asariel had rushed Lucifer only to meet Azrael's flaming sword. The fallen smiled as he pulled back is glaive, preparing to attack again as the Angel of Death ready his sword. Reoan stepped forward and grabbed a hold of Asariel's arm. He turned his head to look at her, a surprised expression darting across his eyes. "You and K make sure Azrael does not interfer with Kraven and I." Reoan snarled. Asariel smiled, seeing the hatred that swept across her. "As you wish Madam Reoan." He nodded as he focused on his new goal. He motioned for K to follow him as Asariel rushed Azrael. The flew through the stair-well wall and out of site. K hesitated at first, but followed through the opening, his axe at his side. "He's all ours," Reoan snirked, turning to stand next to Kraven. "You can't possibly hope to defeat me, Guardian. You and your miss guided demon." Lucifer chuckled, pulling from his side an ancient long sword. "Oh, but I do, Morning Star. You shall pay for the pain you have caused to those before me. You will know when we are done what its like to suffer as mortals do." Reoan allowed her smile to broaden as she rushed forward, Kraven not far behind her. OOC: Lucid, Kamuro, and Fallen. I will be PMing you with further information. Blayze
Kraven was right behind Reoan as she rushed Lucifer, her sword drawn. His blades flashed through the air, cleaving towards Lucifer, but he was too quick. His longsword clashed with Kraven's blades, locking them together, and with a swift move, he dodged Reoan's lunge, her sword missing him by millimetres. Lucifer turned his block into an attack, throwing Kraven away with strength that his slight figure disguised. He smashed into the wall, and came away with chips of concrete flaking to the ground. He watched as Reoan slashed, Lucifer dodging with apparent ease, his suit not yet creased, or crumpled. The Morning Star had taught Reoan most of her fighting techniques, so he would know a lot of them. If only she could use some of the ones she had picked up during her time as a Guardian... Kraven leapt to his feet, and seemed to fly through the air towards Lucifer, one of his wings knocking the Morning Star to the floor. He fell, and rolled with the impact, landing on his feet, his sword still ready. Kraven attacked, his swords flashing in the dim light of the stairwell, and Lucifer's blade parrying the blows, blocking with ease. He brought up a foot, and kicked Kraven over the edge of the stairway. He fell down to the floor below, unable to open his wings fully in such a small space, and landed on his knees, cracking the concrete of the floor slightly. Above them Reoan fought hard against Lucifer, her sword clashing with his, sparks falling from their weapons to the floor. Kraven looked up at the battle, feeling that he was helpless to do anything, so he drew back one of his arms, and hurled his sword at the fighting pair, hoping for dear life that it would hit Lucifer and not Reoan. He heard a dull thud, and a groan, but he did not know which fighter it had hit... (OOC: Hope that's okay for you, DC)
Seibzeihn
Asariel and Azrael hurtled backwards, their wings beating against the walls and ceiling as each fought for the upper hand. The Angel of Death's flaming sword sent sparks showing over the floor as it met Asariel's glaive, the two locked in a mortal struggle. The fallen's eyes caught sigh of K running breakneck up the stairs behind Azrael and crouched to one side, allowing his opponent's slash to pass harmlessly by overhead. "The wings! Strike the wings!" he bellowed to the Zodiac. K's massive axe was already on a downward course when the Angel of Death bowled himself forward, knocking Asariel on his back and passing by over his head. Asariel had just enough time to throw up the glaive haft sideways to deflect K's cleave, originally intended for Azrael. Not hesitating, lest his opponet be allowed to take wing, Asariel grabbed K by the collar and pulled him forward, placing the fallen's booted foot on his chest. Executing a rolling throw, Asariel sent K hurtling at Azrael, axe bared. The two collided as the Angel of Death brought his sword to bear, bringing them both to the ground as Asariel spread his wings. Azrael, whose sword was locked against K's axe blade, allowed his focus to be temporarily drawn to the Zodiac -- a move that Asariel intended to take full advantage of. Spreading his wings, he pumped them and shot over K's head, landing behind Azrael. Spinning and whirling his glaive in a circle over his head, the fallen delivered a powerful horizontal slash to his opponent's back, and was rewarded with a howl of rage and pain. From the look of it, he had succeeded in cleaving off the bottom half of each of the Angel of Death's wings, impairing his ability to take flight. As Azrael's attention turned back to Asariel, K swept his axe blade sideways, catching the angel across his chin with the flat of the blade. The force of the blow sent Azrael careening into the opposite wall, leaving a massive indentation. Bloodstained hands gripped the flaming longsword, the Angel of Death's face a mask of fury and agony framed in crimson. "You'll pay dearly for that, fallen one!" he spat. Asariel chuckled to himself, pushing back a lock of violet-black hair. "We'll see about that, Angel of Death..."
Kamuro
The Angel of Death lunged forward, his flaming sword leaving a trail of red in the misty air. His target was Asariel, and he swung rapidly as he approached the fallen. However, Asariel was still blessed with the gift of flight, and immediately leapt from the ground, avoiding the oncoming attack. He almost instantly burst back towards the ground, lodging his sword in Azrael's shoulder. Blood squirt in every direction as Asariel flipped backwards, ripping his sword from the enemies appendage. K just watched, amazed by the fight he was seeing between two such immense forces. Azrael shouted wildly, in pain and fury. He clenched his fists tight and grunted wildly, regaining the use of his arm after the attack. Asariel struck again, however, this time unsuccessfully. The Angel of Death stepped aside and swept his large fist through the air, striking Asariel in the stomach and relaying him to a new position upon the floor across the room. He laughed loudly, stomping his feet as he made his way to the fallen. However, he stopped abruptly just in time to avoid the flying blade of K's large axe. It returned to him instantaneously and he crouched as the rough wood returned to his shoulder. "You'll be fighting me now!" K shouted from across the barren the floor. Azrael turned to him, laughing once again "You're no match for me Zodiac, you will die!" he bellowed as he leapt from the ground, sword drawn. He ran towards K at full speed and they met with a loud clash metal. The sparks shot wildly as metal scraped against metal. Azrael drew back swinging his sword savagely several times. K swung as well, metal cracking like thunder as both weapons met again and again. K sweat like mad, the fire of Angel's sword almost engulfing his hands with each strike of his weapon. He sidestepped once more, avoiding a large blow to the ground. He spun wildly and sliced down through the Angel's arm, jumping to the side as it hit the floor. Azrael screamed once again in pain, dropping his sword to tend to the wound where his arm once sat. He turned abruptly to K, a look of pure fury in his eyes "I'm not finished yet," he spoke, bending down and returning the sword to his hand. "You will die..."
demonchild781
Reoan groaned as her body flew through the cement and plaster wall that seperated a lobby from the stair well. Lucifer was upon her as they fell together. She placed her feet quickly under his abdomen and threw him above her head, as her hand searched for her sword. She growled as she rolled over and shoved herself onto her knees and hands, searching for her sword. Lucifer was slowly starting to stand, a massive sword stuck through his back. ************************* Reoan sat quietly at the outdoor resturant table, starring down at her food with concern. It smelt deliscious, but did not look like anything one would want to eat. "Eat!" Amber shouted, her mouth full of food. "Its awesome!" She shoved more food into her mouth, chewing it radpidly. Reoan creased her eyebrows as she moved the food around her plate. Long yellow grain was splashed across her plate with some strange red sauce covering it and a few round balls of meat. "It's called spagetti, it came from China some time during Alexander the Great's time." Jacob said as he twirled some of the strains around his fork and gestured towards her mouth. She looked at him nervously before slowly taking it into her mouth and began to chew it. She wrinkled her nose and swallowed. "I still prefer roast and a cup of ale." Reoan said simply. David, Amber and Jacob burst out in laughter as Reoan attempted to eat yet another sporkful of the pasta mess. ************************* Reoan scrambled to her feet, racing for the sword that was in Morning Star's back. She could hear Kraven making his way back up the stairs and through the whole the angel and ex-Guardian had left in the wall. Reoan reached forward and grabbed the hilt of Kraven's sword a surge of memories and power racing through her. The bolt shocked Lucifer into allowing a held back scream as she pulled the sword from his back. Reoan stumbled back and took a fighting stance as Lucifer spun around, his own sword still in his hand. "The two of you have ruined a perfectly good suit." Lucifer grumbled as he began to pull the over coat off. Reoan sneered as she rushed forward and their swords met yet again. The battle raged on while humans could be heard screaming and racing from the lobby. Kraven wandered into the lobby and stared at the two. My sword is by the small couch. Kraven suddenly heard a voice within his head. "What?" He said allowed. Reoan flew backwards landing on her back, rolling to avoid Lucifer's next attack, Reoan was soon back onto her feet. Fetch my sword. Kraven finally realized the voice was Reoan's. He made his way towards the couch and saw the ex-Guardian's broad sword nearly hidden under the piece of furniture. He bent down and picked it up. Get ready to take off his wings. Kraven brought his eyes up to watch Reoan dart backwards and stand posed carelessly before the Morning Star. The fallen angel stopped, and stared at her with curious eyes. "You should have never crossed me, Morning Star. Can you feel it?" Reoan said bitterly. "Feel what?" Reoan smiled as she closed her eyes for brief moment then opened them again. "Azrael is dying, bleeding to death it would seem." Lucifer's eyes went wide. He had forgotten all about Azrael until that very moment. Suddenly the Morning Star clutched his chest as he began to fall towards his knees. Reaon rushed forward, shoving her blade into his stomach and swirled him around. "NOW!" She screamed. OOC: Ok, Fallen. Its up to you, have your way with Lucifer, but don't kill him. I'll explain that in my next post. Lucid and Kamuro, you guys are doing great. Blayze
Kraven saw Reoan ram her blade through Lucifer, sending him to his knees. A single tear rolled down the Morning Star's cheek, as he felt his friend ebb away into nothingness. He shifted his grip on Reoan's sword slightly, feeling the energy that had been poured into this weapon so many times previously. So much anger. So much hate. He needed to tap into all of it to destroy the Morning Star. Blood trickled from the fallen angel's mouth as the sword was driven further into his body, but he seemed oblivious to this pain. Azrael was dying, bleeding to death, and Lucifer could not do a single thing about it. He was losing his friend. Kraven summoned all of his hatred, his rage and anger, his pure fury that he had felt over the years towards the creature that knelt in front of him, and channeled it into the sword, combining it with all the feelings that lay in it from Reoan. He lifted the weapon, his eyes blazing with fury, and he brought it down, slicing through the muscle that held Lucifer's wings to his body. The huge, grey-feathered wings fell to the floor, and turned slowly to ash, which blew away. Still the Morning Star knelt, his pain over the imminent death of his loyal companion beating down all the pain of his wounds. Kraven stood there, his eyes softening, his grip on Reoan's weapon tighter than ever, small rivulets of blood dribbling down his arm as his nails bit into the soft flesh of his hand. He had taken his enemy's wings. All that was left now was to kill him. He raised the sword again, and brought it down, but it was stopped. Reoan's katana, the one that had been pierced through the body of Lucifer, had blocked the weapon. "No. Don't kill him..." she said softly. "Why not? We have him here, we have the opportunity. It is what we both want, is it not?" replied Kraven, equally softly, but with a tone of anger in his voice. "I don't know," said Reoan, collapsing into a chair... demonchild781
Reoan allowed Kraven's sword to dangle in her hand on the side of the chair. The lobby had vacated its people and in the back of Reoan's mind, she knew that the local authorities were going to be swarming the building soon and they needed to leave. But all her energy was spent, and she needed to do something with Lucifer. Reoan looked up at Kraven, his face creased with the hatred he felt towards the Morning Star and she could sense his desire to destroy the thing he had been hunting for so long. She searched his face, feeling a strange sensation run up her arm from his sword. "Here," Reoan stretched the sword out to him, Lucifer's blood slowly dripping down the length of its blade. He looked down at it and took it as he handed Reoan's back to her. "Your sword is powerful and strangely feels natural to me. You must be greater than I had remembered." Reoan smiled lightly as she brought her attention back to the screaming Lucifer. Suddenly a devious smirk raced across Reoan's face and she could see Kraven crease his brows at her thoughts. She stood up and walked towards Lucifer, tears streaming down his face. She bent over him and placed her lips close to the Morning Star's ear. "You can feel it, can't you? Every painful breath he takes, his will to live slowly washing away. You want to go to him, pull him back, but you can't for your wounds are too great. You want to tear them apart, the villians that have taken him from you." Reoan whispered into his ear, gently brushing her lips against his flesh. "You rotten beast. You will join me in Hell soon enough Guardian!" Lucifer spat back. "Welcome to our life, Morning Star." Reoan smiled as she walked back over to Kraven. "We'll allow you to live, at least for now." Reoan looked up and smiled at Kraven who still looked at her akwardly. She ushered him to follow her to the stair well as they looked for K and Asariel. "Why didn't you kill him?" Kraven asked softly as they walked through the hole Asariel and Azrael had made earlier. Reoan turned around sharply, grabbing the back of Kraven's head and pushing it down. Their faces were inches away as she stared back into the orange and red eyes. She brought her other hand up to run her fingers of the scar stretching across his eye. "Why make his way out easier?" Reoan hissed lightly. "Allow him to live without his dearest companions in a life that's worse than Hell. Cripled and mutilated. Allow him to know what its like to live the life he created for so many others." Kraven attempted to nod, but the hold Reoan had on his head prevented it. She released him and walked through the hole to find Asariel and K. OOC: Would every one meet up in the hotel room with David and Amber. Redemption
Raven stood underneath the eve, watching the storm take out its fury on the city below. Sharp gusts of winds knocked the tall building. Big booms of thunder echoed through the CBD, rebounding off all of the skyscrapers, increasing in volume every time. Raven?s muscles tightened. Her eyes glowed intense neon yellow. She looked like a vampire, standing there with her arms crossed in front of her, her black leather trenchcoat fluttering out behind her, her hair drifting in the wind. Rain poured down. There was minor flooding in all the streets below. The sky cried for her? for her loss. ----------------------------------------- Zane looked at Ima and Camilla then back at the storm, wondering if the others were all right. Slight trickles of sweat dribbled down the side of his head. The strain of keeping these illusions up and moving was a hard task, harder than he had predicted. Moving his purple-lensed sunglasses up his nose, Zane moved towards the door. There had been a slight knock. He opened it. A beautiful young woman stood there. She was quite dazzling ? a typical Spanish beauty. Longs locks of black hair, big soft brown eyes, large dark red lips. Zane was quite shocked to see her standing there in a slinky black formal dress. His dark blue eyes narrowed. ? Can I help you?? he asked kindly but cautiously. ? Sorry to intrude,? she said in a very warm voice with a hint of a Spanish accent, ? But I?ve been locked out of my room. I?m right next-door. Could I use your phone to get some help?? Zane looked over her curiously, then sighed. ? Fine. The phone?s over there.? The Spanish beauty entered to the surprise of Ima and Camilla. Zane shut the door behind her entering and walked over to the other Zodiacs, explaining the situation. ? Something?s not right about her,? Camilla warned, keeping an eye on the woman. ? I agree. She seems?. too perfect,? Ima added. ? I don?t sense anything malicious from her. Are you two jealous?? Zane taunted. ? Who said anything about being jealous?? Ima growled, unimpressed about the joke. ? Anyway, it has to be a woman thing, right Ima?? Camilla suggested. Ima nodded in agreement. Zane just shook his head and was about to sit down when there were two knocks on the door. ? We?ll get it Zane. We don?t want another maiden-in-distress story,? Ima jeered. Zane sat down with a look that could kill. Ima and Camilla walked to the door and opened it to find two very handsome men standing there. They said that the elevator had broken down and were wondering if they could stay. Ima and Camilla were dazzled by these men and let them in. Zane shook his head and sighed. ? So much for that?? ----------------------------------------- The storm slowly subsided. Raven had grown rather exhausted after three hours of sustaining the massive storm. Her eyes grew back to their normal grey blue colour. In the clearing rain, she saw something very strange jump from a building across the road to the hotel. It was ogre-like in shape and size. Her eyes narrowed. ? Shit!? Morphing herself into her raven form, she fluttered down to the Zodiacs room to see a very strange sight. There was three wisp looking creatures inside, and it looked like they were conversing with Zane, Camilla and Ima. The wisps were in the shapes of foxes. ? What the hell?? The great hulking masses she had seen earlier, were lurking around in the room. Raven landed on the balcony and morphed back into normal form. She tried to open the sliding doors to get into the room but they were locked. Taking out her gun, she shot at the glass, shattering it instantly. She stepped inside, her gun still drawn. ? What the hell are you guys doing?? OOC: Up to you Ozy.
You Don't Care
"Now!" Kadar, Kariz, and Ben rushed the group. The barrels of Ben's guns blazed and the wooshing bullets sunk into the flesh of many, dead yakuza. Kariz threw fire and heat at the heads of the farthest people. Kadar tackled one, and with unexpected strength, swung him around like a flailing weapon. "Very nice. These Zodiac are quite rezilient." The fallen took a step foward waiting for the others to be finished off. Ben made his way through the fray, swinging the but of his gun into skulls which cracked with every planted blow. He kicked over one to his left and shot him before the man could fall over. Kadar picked up a dropped firearm and began firing himself. Aiming for shoulders and limbs while trying to parylize and not end their lives. The unknown Zodiac was doing an excellent job not getting killed while in the middle of the fight. His switch from human to animal was impressive. "This has gone on long enough!" The fallen jumped in and swiped his arm into a few yakuza, injuring them severly. Blood sprayed everywhere on contact. He pulled out a gun, jumped to where Kariz was fighting at, and grabbed her while pointing the barrel at her head. "Stop right there, worms!" Ben, Kadar, and the other Zodiac noticed the threat and immediately stopped in their tracks. "Coward!" The fallen punched her in the face with the pistol. "Shut it, bitch. I have control here," he said while snickereing in ammusement."One false move and she dies, obviously." Ben was about to drop his weapons, but Kadar began to raise his hands slightly in front of him and above his head. "I have to admit I am impressed at how you got to her so quickly," he closed his eyes with a look of praise. "You think so? It was nothing, but compared to you guess it could be." Kadar's smile grew. "Even so. I must applaud to how impressive it was." He then swung his hands forward and clapped them together. With tremendous force, a shockwave erupted and blew away everyone, except all the Zodiac and Ben, off their feet with a deafening boom. The fallen fell off balance and lost hold of Kariz. "EAT THIS, ASSHOLE!" Kadar had gathered a great amount of power and focused it into a fireball. Like a pitcher, he hurled the ball at the fallen. With speed, it hit it's target, bursted scorching flames which engulfed him, and blew the fallen through a wall. "Hmm. Tasty," Ben quirked. "Indeed it was." From the wall of fire outside, the fallen had gotten up and stepped through it. "Almost like Hell's." Kadar's gaze had changed and his eyes were piercing as if right through the fallen. "You are an annoying monster, now aren't you?" "Hey. I'll take care of this," the new Zodiac said aloud. Kadar stole a glance to him, furrowed his brow, and smirked. "That should be enough." O.C.C.: Damn, that took forever! Sorry I was gone so fricking long! Now I am really back and can't wait to pick this RP up again. Take it away.
Astdis
Kariz?s eyes flamed. That bastard. At that moment, she hated being female. She felt a warm wetness at the back of her skull. She saw the flames rising up from the demon?s body and catching to the gas she had spilt. She had intended to throw a fireball at it, but this was going to work just as well ?MOVE!? she yelled, dragging herself off the floor and throwing herself toward the door. Ben caught her arm and helped to drag her out. As they all rounded the corner she heard the blast of the flames hitting the tanks. The building went up in a huge fireball, at least 7 stories high. Debris came raining down on them, Ben throwing himself to cover her as they hit the pavement. When thing seemed settled, they dug themselves out and moved a bit further down the street before collapsing against a wall. She vaguely heard Kadar talking to the others, but her head was pounding. She shook it as if trying to get her thoughts to clear like a etch-an-sketch. Ben leaned over her, acting very relaxed and under concerned. Through the din she felt a pull which became stronger the longer she focused on it. ?Ima.? Ben nudged Kadar so that everyone was looking at her ?What?s wrong Kariz?? She stood and brushed herself off, ignoring the pain in her head ?We have to get back to the hotel, fast.?
