I have difficulty decided what to choose my love of my life or my dreams. To live in reality or to escape it to save my self from hurt. You shouldn't marry someone that will hold you back and force you to give up your life. That'll only bring you trouble in the long run. If they really loved you, they wouldn't want you to do something that you might regret for the rest of your life. If they want you to give up your hobbies and the career that you've spent the last X number of years building, you should tell them to get lost. That pain will probably be temporary compared to the dispair of throwing away your dreams for a person that ultimately turned out to be a selfish b*tch. Firstly, you can always find another 'love,' even if they're not as 'perfect' as the first one. Secondly, my dreams are more important than emotions. My dreams are my purpose in life. By dropping my dreams, I'm dropping my purpose, and in effect, losing my purpose in life. Love will come and go but your dreams and goals last forever. However I feel its a personal opinion. Would if your dream is to indeed, fall in love? I know I once thought that would be the ideal thing, but as I got older my goals changed and I realized I don't need someone after all. What I do in life is what matters to me most.
