What would you choose your love or your dreams. Why would you choose it and would you regret it later? I have difficulty decided what to choose my love of my life or my dreams. To live in reality or to escape it to save my self from hurt. What would you choose :catgirl:

How about choosing a love that doesn't clash with your dreams. You shouldn't marry someone that will hold you back and force you to give up your life. That'll only bring you trouble in the long run. If they really loved you, they wouldn't want you to do something that you might regret for the rest of your life. If they want you to give up your hobbies and the career that you've spent the last X number of years building, you should tell them to get lost. That pain will probably be temporary compared to the dispair of throwing away your dreams for a person that ultimately turned out to be a selfish b*tch.

I think what she meant was "love of your life," as in "you two were meant to be." In this case, I'd pick my dreams. Firstly, you can always find another 'love,' even if they're not as 'perfect' as the first one. Secondly, my dreams are more important than emotions. My dreams are my purpose in life. By dropping my dreams, I'm dropping my purpose, and in effect, losing my purpose in life. I'd never do that just to live happily ever after.

I will choose neither, I mean, if you fall in love you end up hurt, and if you try to follow your dreams you will end up hurt the same way. I know is a pessimistic point of view but for my knowledge I will rather live without the pain of dissapointment.

The loser's philosophy. If you're not willing to take risks, you'll forever be stuck in the purgatory of middle class. Unless you get extremely lucky, but the chances of that are what?

I kind of feel the way that Retribution feels. Love will come and go but your dreams and goals last forever. However I feel its a personal opinion. Would if your dream is to indeed, fall in love? I know I once thought that would be the ideal thing, but as I got older my goals changed and I realized I don't need someone after all. What I do in life is what matters to me most. All I can say is do what feels right to you. And hope that it works out for the best.

Easy Round, Question #1: Dreams or Love?

No contest; I'd rather chase after my dreams. After all, my love is willing to drop his dreams and chase after me. I am that selfish and egotistical.

Yep, my dreams it is. I've heard too many stories about people who give up theirs for their loves and end up broke, jobless and unhappy. Nope, I don't want that. Can't risk it. Too many silly love songs ( ♫ hums ♫ ) out there remind failed romantics of their lost loves.

Why can't you have both? I know the love of my life would allow me, incourage me, to go after my dreams. But given the choice between the two I would chose love. Call me a hopeless romantic but with the love of my life I would be happy just being with him.

^So you would stay with somebody that held you back? Its like I said, if she truly loved you, she'd never put you in a position where you had to choose between her and your dreams. She'd never say that either you quit chasing after that medical breakthrough and get yourself a man's job or she wouldn't have you. Likewise, she'd never tell you to stop chasing after the MMA championship of your division or face divource.

For me dreams its part of you. So deffenaly i would chose dreams, since I don't have anyone right now I love :p
And if I had, I still keep following my dreams, but then why not have both? You can love someone and follow your dreams, I'm sure he/she would incouradge you to go fufill them, that's what love is right? ^_~

This is a tough decision...I've been called a dreamer and a romantic before, and both dreams and romance are important to me. If push came to shove, I would choose love over dreams. Dreams can be torn apart, but as long as I have my true love with me, I could withstand any hardship. *sigh* Someday, my prince will come...lol

I could only choose both.

Everyone needs love. A person without love, while ok now, will feel empty real fast.

Everyone needs dreams. A person without dreams, or goals, has no meaning in life.

Love is a desire in life, whereas dreams are life.
One who forsakes their dreams is already dead.

Obviously, most people want love, but I believe that even if you have love, you can't be happy without your dreams.

If I had to choose between them, I'd chase my dreams, not love.

I can bear to be alone, but not to be hollowed out.

love? lol, not likely!! :animesmil your dreams are whats gonna get food on the tabel and whatever. love is just a desire, if we dont have love, we still live, some are better off without love, it only makes fools out of us and hurts us. dreams wont betray you like a person can! :D
There's a stupid attitude. You'd rather kill everything that you've worked for (starve) than walk alone and on your own. That's weak.
Not on your own. ALONE. Where no one cares about you at all. I couldn't live like that. I'd rather die with everyone and nothing than live with everything and no one. It's simply an opinion.

wait.... so you'd be willing to go with the flow, be a follower, and starve, die, or whatever... what if the "everyone" u care so much for, were back-stabbers, betrayers, and leeches?? sometimes being independent has its benefits! :p and i am totally taking what u said outta contex! :D
