London ; England somewhere in the 1800's
There once was a boy who went by the name of William Sharp. But most people just called him Will. He went to Wellington Academy for Misbehaving boys. Its not that he was a bad child really, he just loved to pull pranks. He had lived with his father in London until his stepmother moved in and convinced him that he had best be sent away to a boarding school. Her name was Patrisha and she was a crude women. The rest of the story, is obvious.

Will disliked his school. You can't say how his friend's bonded with him, for he had few. If he had to choose a best friend however, it would have to be Eustace Scrubb. He found Eustace to be interesting especially telling tales of a make-believe world of Narnia. Of course, this led Will to believe that Eustace was somewhat off the deep end but it didn't matter. They accepted one another's weaknesses. Little did Will know that this tale would become a reality, and he would have a story of his own.

One bright afternoon, the kind of afternoons you want to be outside in the sunshine napping, the students of Wellington Academy went out for a fieldtrip. The teacher was Mrs. Brody. A screwd looking woman, her gray hair tied back into a tight bun that stretched her face, old looking socks that looked like they hadn't seen daylight in years and wearing a pleaded long skirt with a sweater on. Not the kind of clothes you would expect on such a fine afternoon. "Bah look at this weather, just simply horrible!" bellowed the teacher, for you see, she loathed sunny days.

All the boys murmed to one another, they were excited, for it was a rare occasion for them to leave the boarding school. One by one they marched in a line down the street and turned into what looked like a house with a garden. "Where are we?" asked a young blonde haired boy in the middle of the line. The sign above the gate read "Diggory's Apple Farm" and a symbol of a lion next to it. The teacher ignoring the boy, shouted "Alright. I want no trouble from any of you, anyone who disobeys orders will get no supper for tonight. Be respectful" and walked off without them just as a dusty old man slowly made him way towards the boys.

It was a tour guide. They were to learn about the fertilization and history of the apple trees in London. "This is just wonderful" exclaimed Will rolling his eyes, but soon had a wide grin on his face. "Hey Eustace, look at that well over there? I wonder what's in it?"asked curiously for it appeared centuries old and was covered with vines. "Just dead leaves at the bottom I'd think. Don't expect me to go find out, I don't want to miss any supper!" exclaimed Eustace for he had been in enough trouble lately as it is. "Fine. I'll check it out myself." said Will but Eustace was already gone ahead with the group. Now was his chance.

He slowly snuck over to the well and glanced into it. There was a wierd copper light eluminating out of it, and sand at the bottom. "It doesn't look too far, I wonder if I jump down in it, if I can get up." as he begun to stand upon the well and look down. A whirlwind of sand began to swirl at the bottom of the well, wind started blowing out of it causing Will's black hair to get into his eyes, and a crackling of thunder could be heard. "Whats going on!?" shouted Will but before he could get anymore words out he had lost his balance and fell into the well.

Except he did not reach the bottom. Down he went untill everything turned black and it seemed as if he were traveling through space. Next he felt sand, lots of it, on his feet, and his hands, for he had fell face forward into it. As soon as Will got up he noticed something different, he was in a desert of some sort, it was night time, and there was no one to be seen. Will could only wonder where he was, and if he'd ever find his way home.

Somewhere in the Great Desert of Calormen
A hooded black figure rode across the wide desert, his robe flying out in the dry air as he raced towards what seemed to be a little house on the outskirts of the desert. He looks to be part horse and part human. Arriving upon the house stands a badger, awaiting his arrival. "Come in, Come in Lord Megandus." whispers the talking badger signaling him to come inside the small house.

"Thank you Mr. Badger" the creature called Megandus replied as he took a seat by the fireplace. "How goes Narnia? What do the stars read? I must know everything since its not like you see many centaurs in these parts" exclaimed the badger puffing on his pipe. He was an intelligent badger, no doubt from Narnia himself where all the animals have speech. "I have read the stars. Aslan has made an appearace here. Or perhaps, brought another visitor from the other world..." murmed the centaur for he was remembering the stories he heard about the High King Peter. "But surely, if he was to bring a new king, it would be in Narnia? Why the desert, so close to Calormen?" asked the badger meakly, for there were many questions racing through his mind.

"That part I do not know. We shall see in the future. But from what the stars read, Calormen is going to undo a big change. Maybe this visitor...will become the next Tisroc. Or perhaps to run as king and free this country from its slavery that it has so been used to since long before our time" pondered the centaur to the badger who looked quite interested in what they had to say. "A rebellion! A rebellion against the Tisroc! Could it be possible? Could us talking beasts really be free to live in a place such as this? To think of the possibilities, a friendship between Calormen and Narnia. Impossible." said the Badger excited. "A rebellion against the Tisroc sounds correct...the outcome unknown. My vision is clowded towards it. I'm sure if it was meant to be known, it would say so. However, I do know, one group will make a difference." explained Mugundus, for he had been reading the stars for many years.

"Who is in this group? Who determines the outcome?..Oh I do wish if only we could have some more anwsers" sighed the badger. "Thats the scary part. We don't know. And that is what worries me most." stated the centaur for if the rebellion failed, all chaos would break out in all of Calormen.

Your Destiny
A group of six people have created an underground rebellion against the tyrant called the Tisroc. He is king of all that is Calormen, the desert country. With your help only will then Calormen prosper. This is a tale of the group that calls themselves "The Six Elite" people banding together, go on a journey to try to recruit others into the rebellion and to break Calormen's strict chaste system and make it into a once and for all free country. Through loopholes and turns, this tale can take any turn, but it is up to YOU to decide how the journey ends.

Rulebook & Info
Here are some things I'd like you to keep in mind...

* Obsessive swearing or gore violence. Its a Narnia RPG. I put L in there because I don't mind swearing every once in awhile, I mean Calormen guards are suppose to be ruthless right? But when its every other word, thats when it becomes a problem. My advice try not to overdue things. Also with the violence theres going to be many battles I predict, so I don't mind blood, missing limbs, etc. I mean like things that are considered out there. Example : "William's eye gushed out of his head splattering on the floor and Tumnus picked it up and ate it with a crunch". Ew. Thats going a bit too far. Just no disgusting stuff please.

* The group is a part of the REBELLION. That means that you cannot claim that you are the Tisroc or can control people in anyway so don't try. You can however be the Tisroc's son, but that would only mean your betraying your father. Betrayal is also an option although I don't recommend everyone doing it. (After all if the group is gone what hope do we have of winning?) Nevertheless, keep in mind that the rebellion starts off as a secret. Whatever you want to do with your character, feel free to explore the boundaries, just don't make yourself a powerful god.

* Calormen is a neighboring country of Narnia. Yes in the story there are talking beasts but in Calormen they are none. Just think of old time Egypt or Arabian tales and you have the basic feel of what it is like living there.

* About SignUps is I will only pick five people and this doesn't mean the first five to join. Whoever's character I find most developed, unique and will make the story interesting will get in. So just make sure your character stands out. Also HTML is allowed in Signups but is not required.

* You can come from Narnia or from another country like Archland if you want too, but I only allow 1-2 people to have this chance, since the majority has to be calormenes.

* I need someone who wants to play William Sharp. This is the only character that is required. PM me if you'd like the spot. He starts off at age 12. Keep in mind that Narnian time is different so he can get older while being in Calormen.

* To make sure you read the rulebook and info please put "No one knows any story but their own" quote at the end of your signup under password.

Any other information can be found in the underground thread [ click ] Which I highly recommend reading.

Name: Jundai

Nickname: Jun

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Status: Former slave, [potter]

Hometown: Was born in Anvard, lived in Mezreel the past 17 years

Appearance: Jun. Jun's eyes are green. She normally wears a long, white robe over loose brown pants and a white tunic.

Abilities: June is very good at talking her way out of [and into] situations that benefit her. She has a quick mind for strategies.

Weapons: A quarterstaff; a six-foot length of oak with iron caps on each end.

Biography: Jun was born in Anvard, the royal city of Arkenland, the beautiful, green land that lay beyond the Desert. Her family wasn't among the high-ranks of the people, but neither were they low-born. Her father was a potter; her mother wove rugs, and thus they lived a comfortable life. Jun grew, enjoying her parents attention, as she was an only child. They wanted for nothing, and everything was as it should be.

Until her father decided that Anvard had become too crowded. He had originally been from the countryside, and longed to return to the solitude. So he, Jundai's mother, and Jun moved to a small village. A village which was, unfortunatly, a mere half hour walk from the Desert.

Not long after Jun's family was settled, the Calormen came. The remnants of an attempted strike on Anvard, they were still more than enough in number to lay waste to Jun's entire village; slaying the men and taking the women and children as slaves back to Tashban. Jun remembers hardly anything of the trek across the desert...except that her beloved mother was not there when they arrived in Tashban. She still doesn't know what happened to her; whether she died in the journey, or was taken off when the band of Calormen split up.

Jun was sold to a potter, a young woman who's art and skill with the clay had made her very wealthy indeed. The potter, Saraleen, was a beautiful woman, with a gentle face and loving eyes - very much like Jun's own mother...on the outside. On the inside, Saraleen was as cruel and cunning as the Tisroc [may-he-live-forever]; abusing the many slaves she had bought with her wealth.

Jun did relativly well for one of Saraleen's slaves due to her slight knowledge of pottery. For 15 years, she lived, doing nothing but making pots, jars, bottles; hauling clay and straw and water for Saraleena, and, occasionally, selling the pots in the marketplace.

It was on one of these days that she first heard of the rebellion.

When the revolution comes, slaves will be free...no longer workers for others, but able to live by themselves, for themselves, for their friends...

This was whispered in the marketplace, despite the Tisroc's [may-he-live-forever-] soldiers, despite the slavemasters, despite everything. And who could resist such a whisper?

Personality: Jun was once a hyper, always-cheerful little girl, but years of slavery have buried that cheer under a thick layer of humbleness to the point of being unhealthy. SHe is quick to blame herself for things going wrong, and not-so-quick to accept praise where it is deserved. However, as time with the rebellion goes on, she is slowly unburying her confidence. And every now and then a spark of what might be sarcasm shows through. One of the effects of being a slave for 15 years is she cannot seem to make herself leave the "may-he-live-forever" line off of the ruler's name.

Name: Ashem Hilt

Nickname: Ash

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Status: Thief (Peasant Class)

Hometown: Zalindreh - A port city, the center of trade with the islands.

Appearance: Ashem Hilt
Ashem is a mildly tall, thin man blessed with a rather muscular body and handsome face. His hair is dark and nearly reaches his shoulders when not tied back. A white bandana covers the top of his head, protecting his scalp from the harsh heat of the Calormen deserts, and a long cape pours from his neck and drapes across his back. He wears pants of a darker tan variety with two sheaths hooked to his belt forming an "X" across his lower back.

Abilities: Ashem is quick and agile, his career as a theif has sharpened his fighting skills as well as his interpersonal ones. He is cunning and witty from years of conning and the creation of several elaborate hoaxs'. This also makes him a deadly merchant and trader, they say he could sell a Calormen sand if he tried.

Weapons: Ashem has two short swords placed in the sheaths hooked to his belt. He prefers to stray away from the use of weapons, however, and seldomly uses them.

Biography: Ashem grew up in the trading town of Zalindreh. Even as a child he was mischievous and ill-behaved. Always finding himself in trouble and doing his best to be the center of attention. His parents grew tired and weary of his actions, however, they believed if he was ignored then the problems would cease. They felt he was acting this way for the attention, and therefore refused to give him any. Although this was not Ashem's primary goal, it soon became so. He was starved for his parent's affection and often went out of his way just to impress them, or even gain a glance in his direction.

As he grew older he grew more and more deprived and with every scheme he lost respect from his parents as well as others around him. He had no friends, and he focused solely on his next endeavor. In his early teens he decided it was best for him to leave, and late in the night he snuck from his home and left Zalindreh. He wandered the desert for ages it seemed like, growing weary and tired, a futile attempt to live in such a barren place. Eventually he collapsed under the hot dry sun and assumed it would be his end.

However, a strong, rough looking man stumbled upon his body and brought him to a nearby cave. When Ashem awoke he was surrounded by harsh looking figures and piles of gold and other assorted treasure. It seemed as though a famous theif had stumbled upon him while traveling to his hideout in the desert. Ashem was taken in and taught the ways of the thief. The group was made up of several talented crooks and pirates and he soon learned that this was the life for him.

He swindled with the best of them and soon rose through the ranks of the small group of "merchants" as they called themselves. Soon enough it was time for Ashem to leave the group and pursue a life on his own. He returned to Zalindreh only to find the once successful trade village a boring, almost empty place. It seemed as though things were changing in Calormen and King Tisroc had become more of a tyrant then an adeqaute ruler. Ashem found it difficult to steal anything of any real value and as the people of Zalindreh dwindled down, so did his profits.

One day, as he sat among the stoop of his former home, he pondered ways to make money and increase his status in the world of Calormen. However, he found it almost impossible for a theif like himself to find a place in the very society that had rejected him years ago. As he sat there contemplating, he was interrupted. It seemed as though a rebellion was being formed and they were looking for skilled people to join up and bring about the change of Calormen. He thanked his lucky stars for the opportunity and decided to accompany the members of the rebellion and take down the tyrant Tisroc.

Personality: Ashem is an outgoing man with an insatiable vigor for life. He sometimes seems almost overzealous when it comes to battle and the fall of Tisroc's dynasty. He can be rude and annoying at times, however he is very smart. He is a witty man who usually knows just what to say. He lacks manners but feels as though he doesn't need them. Down deep he has a good heart, and even today he starves for the attention of others. A bad habit stemming from his stubborn parents. He often feels as though he's missing something, and he longs to find his other half in hopes to fulfill his life and accomplish his dreams. Although blunt with men, he is suave and tries his best to impress women, often successfully.

Name: Deinali
Nickname: Wish
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Status: Dancer/Harem Girl (Peasant, formerly Servant)
Hometown: Mezreel, now Tashbaan

Appearance: Wish
Standing five four even, Deinali, called Wish, is a very attractive young woman, with a well-toned form, with slim, yet muscular legs, due to dancing. A dancer by nature, she carries herself with a grace many a Tarkheena have envied.

Abilities: Wish dances like no bodies business, fast and precise, or slow and deliberate. Her movements are graceful, her feet placed perfectly, and never her concentration broken. When she moves she entrances, even if simply walking. She uses it to her advantage to get into places she shouldn?t be allowed to go. Her persuasion skills are magnificent.

Weapons: Hidden easily on her scantily clad person are numerous blades of sorts, with a wrist blade on each wrist. Sometimes she uses the blades as mirrors or as reflection toys, and she incorporates them into her dancing. She has total four knives; one on each wrist, and the other two hidden in the folds of her side-split skirt.

Biography: Born the second twin in a two-girl pair to a lowly family, Deinali and her sister, Kinali, were separated and given to two different families. Never given the chance to develop the bond twins would have, the girls still somehow managed to find each other, and soon became fast friends. Not knowing they were related, and having very different appearances, the bond that formed between them was even stronger because they did not fight as siblings would. Deinali was raised by a woman and her two daughters, all three in the King?s harem. Thus, Deinali was raised to be one of the harem, and became very good at it. When her adopted mother died, she took up profession, along side her two sisters.

The three often worked in a group, and moved to the top of the King?s list. Deinali hated every minute of it, and when word spread like wildfire through the servants there was a rebellion, Deinali grabbed her chance. Furthermore, when the Tisroc?s arranged bride disappeared, apparently captured by a bandit, the capital was sent into an uproar. Deinali used the chance to slip out of the palace, and make for the town. Along the way many people tried to stop her, for more than one reason. In her garb, she was unquestionably a girl for sale, but in the quality, it was easily questioned: who was she for sale too? Somehow she managed to get passed the guards with a languid wink and a flash of cleavage, and with others on the road, she either stayed out of their way, or she killed them.

Taken into a harem in the city, the Tisroc never knew she was missing, since he had more things on his mind. Deinali had a little more freedom with whom she pleased, but not by much. Still, when she wanted to, she could slip out and leave, calling it a closed night. It was a lot better than her work at the Palace. She still hates it sometimes, but if life could get any better, she doesn't know how. Occasionally she can still find Kinali, and the two talk, but then the other girl disappears and Deinali will not see her for moons. Still, with hope of one day being free, she can go on. Now, she is fully involved in the Rebellion, and will stop at nothing until the goal is reached.

Personality: Deinali is a quiet, yet very sly and witty girl. Since she is so quiet and subservient, no one notices that she is smart, and what she sees and hears, she can use. Quick-talking, Deinali has never once been caught in a lie, and never will, if her tongue has anything to say about it. She acts obedient, but when it comes to rebellion, no ones better at it than she is. She rebels in little ways, from being a few minutes late to dinner to ditching a customer when she feels like it. No one can break her, and no one is willing to try.

Name: Morag Dunstibar
Nickname: NA
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Status: Freedom Fighter/Singer (This is, of course, questionable. My character is a revolutionary, of sorts)
Profession: If anything, Morag makes his way as a singer.
Hometown: Morag was born on the Island of the Star. He recently travelled to Calormen to assist those in the rebellion.

Appearance: (Attachment)
Morag stands at 5'10'' tall, his clothes most certainly out of the ordinary for any who come into contact with him. Most call him insane, but he just seems to be a little too modern for this time both in the way he looks and acts. He always wears blacks; reds or rich purples and always has that eye patch even though he claims his eye is perfectly fine. He does have some kind of magical aura around him.

Abilities: Morag travelled Narnia in his earlier years in search of potions and spells. He has been brought up with magic, though not all that powerful, and can use some of it to his advantage. Mostly it is just lifting and moving things he can do and he doesn't do it often for fear of scaring those in Calormen. He has the profound ability to stay mostly unnoticed in situations and, despite his loud and gaudy style, slips away from large crowds most easily.

Weapons: A staff is all that Morag carries with him though he can wield it with such amazing force that men carrying swords will be beaten brutally by him. The shaft is silver and smooth with only a few scratches in the centre for better grip. At the top of the staff there is a black cross about six inches in height. The end is sharpened to give the staff more power as a weapon. Morag has also hung beads around the staff as he claims they give him good luck.

Biography:
Dear Diary,
Today marks a wonderful day. I have finally succeeded in convincing the rebels that I will be of great help to them. It has been a month since I left Narnia and my old life behind and I have wiped the slate clean. I look forward to starting a new life in this land, it will surely teach me many new things.

I remember when I first heard about the plight in Calormen through my uncle who had recently travelled there. He told me stories of a beautiful land with wonderful creatures, only The Tisroc kept them under a dictatorship. He spoke his views on what a shame this was and how something should be done about it. My parents quickly hushed him and I heard them later lecturing him on putting ideas in my head. It was, unfortunately for them, too late as I had made up my mind by that time that I would travel to Calormen and free them from their chains.

When I was eighteen I travelled there for a short period of time. Never in my life have I seen a beauty as that land, I fell in love with it instantly. As I travelled back to my home after Calormen had struck me I started to plan things in my mind. Even back then rumours of a rebellion circled the streets; I knew it was only a matter of time until they were carried out.

I had met a man in Calormen, he was good and kind and agreed to keep me informed of how his beautiful land was getting on. Last month I received an urgent letter from him informing me of the planned rebellion in Calormen. At that time only a few knew of this and it was still in its baby stages, but I knew I had to get there and work my way into the rebel forces.

When I arrived it took a long time for the locals to grow used to me...I understand I am not your usual resident, so to speak.

As I write now my hands are shaking with excitement. Soon, yes, soon all of this planning and pain will come to a close and Calormen will have its freedom. I know it will, I have faith and I will die fighting for what I have faith in.

Morag closed his diary and sighed deeply to himself as he set his quill down to rest. He leant back in his high back chair and dropped his arms to his sides. Was he doing the right thing here? Of course he was and he couldn't exactly go home now, as his parents had deserted him. The young man was not easily put off what he believed in and instead walked to his bed, retiring for the night.

Personality: Morag is one of the few genuine people left. If you ask him a question he will answer with all honesty, a quirk that has gotten him into a fair few fights in the past. He is funny and kind and has a very soft voice; people can easily listen to him talk or sing for hours on end. He is not one to drink as he has a very low tolerance to alcohol, a fact that he is acutely aware of. Not one to lose his temper, Morag has a very cool and confident demeanour, someone who dresses like he does has to.

Name: Willerwik Saveres
Nickname: Nigh
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-Three
Status: Gardener (Peasant)
Hometown: Tashbaan
Appearance: For his young age, Willerwik appears old. He's hunched over slightly due to back troubles and looks sickly pale, even in the hot Calormen sun. When not hunched over, he's at the height of 5'7" with a weight of 110 pounds. His clothes consist of old, ragged robes and sandels, simply cloth he wore when serving Tisroc. He's rather unattractive with his long nose and large, almost-pointy ears. He dons a small cap to hide his balding head. He's truely a sad sight for the eyes.
Abilities: Willerwik served Tisroc as almost a personal butler, bringing him his food and taking care of his dirty clothes. Though he was kicked around constantly, he gained some special abilities through his hard labor, such as cooking, gardening (which became his profession after leaving Tashbaan), and even sewing. He's been even known to perform a song or two for someone's enjoyment (mostly Tisroc's), but we never said he was any good at it.
Weapons: Willerwik is too weak to ever fight. He also doesn't know how to use one. Not to mention he'd be too cowardly to fight.
Biography: Willerwik was born in Tashbaan. His mother and father were peasants, but left him behind in Tisroc's service. It wasn't the best thing a parent could do to a child, but Willerwik did his best to please his lord. So from his youth up to the age of twenty, Willerwik did every single task Tisroc asked of him. He eventually came Tisroc's right-hand servant, which caused him to learn some things about Tisroc and his palace that not everyone knew. Whether Tisroc knew that he knew or not, he kept quiet.

His home in the Tisroc palace consisted of a small closet-like space in one of the walls. It consisted of a poorly-crafted bed, a small table, and a chair that was too small for even Willerwik to sit in. He was fed terribly.

He's taken to an imp-like nickname of "Nigh" as a running joke on him in Tisroc's palace. He was mistreated so often by Tisroc and all his closest men that Willerwik escaped from Tashbaan finally. He made his way to Mezreel where he further pursued one of his passions: gardening. A man like him at his age didn't have much promise in the world, so he did what he could to get by. But Tisroc and his years spent with him still haunt his dreams. He joins the rebellion just to get even. Though he's terribly afraid to do it.
Personality: Willerwik is kind and thinks of others, even after his mistreatment in the service of Tisroc. His life has been about trying to please people, especially Tisroc, so he's become soft and fears almost anyone. He'll try to help if it doesn't involve him getting harmed in any way. He's not ignorant or stupid, though he isn't intelligent either. He knows what's going on most of the time where he is around him. He has been known to have a side to him where he pities his life miserably. But if life is good to him, he's as happy as a swallow with a two-headed worm.

Name: Zydrelle Bandal
Nickname: Bandal/Elle or Tarkheena Bandal
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Status: Warrior (Tarkheena)
Hometown: Tashbaan
Appearance: Short black hair that goes down to her shoulders, with tan skin like most Calormen. She has deep brown eyes and has a slim figure. On her days as a girl she dresses in an egyptian style outfit of white and gold with gold bracelets on her hands and on one of her ankles. For riding she usually wears medium length pants (kind of like kaprees) and a brown tank that makes her look middle class. When she is in battle she wears her mail armor which makes her appear to look like a man, a fiersome one at that. Especially when shes carrying her spear.

Abilities: Zydrelle is excellent at shooting with her bow. She has had much training in the field. It is said that her favorite bow was made in the land of Narnia where magic resides. With it, she has never missed a shot. She is also skilled with a sword but not as well.

Weapons: She has a long blade that runs down the side at her belt usually when she rides her warhorse she got from her father called Yezardi also known as "Yezi". The sword has a curved top like most people in the capital city of Tasbaan use. This is given to all Tarkheena's, especially when they are on military duty. She rarely uses it however unless for emergencies, for she prefers to use, a spear.

Biography: Zydrelle Bandal was born in the capital city of Calormen,
Tashbaan. She grew up as a much cheerful child, and loved her father deeply. Her life was full of luxuries, as is expected of a Tarkheena, an upperclass lord. However, she was also trained for war at the young age of 6, and became skilled in hunting, squaring, and other activities. She realized very young that she was different then most of the other girls.

She had only one friend. Mehamia who was also a Tarkheena, older and very different from Zydrelle. Mehamia liked gossip and boys, much like the other girls that lived around Tashbaan. But they were friends nevertheless. They grew up together until one day, Zydrelle's life changed completely. It turned out that one day when she was riding her father's war horse Yazardi, the Tisroc had spotted her. And so his affection grew. Day after day he watched what as he described the most beautiful girl to fit as Queen.

It would be every Tarkheena's dream to be Queen of Calormen, since they would have access to the palace and be able to rule all of Calormen with freedom. But this did not sit well with Zydrelle. He had requested an arranged marriage from her father and if she refused it would mean death. She asked for Mehamia's help, but she only told Zydrelle that she should go along with the Tisroc's plan and that she would be the richest women in all of Calormen.

Not having Mehamia to help her out on this, she began to scheme up a plan to avoid the marriage. She once remembered a story about a Tarkheena once like herself that lived over a thousand years ago, she had an arranged marriage, and had escaped to the North and ruled as Queen in the land of Narnia with her lover. It was her favorite bed time story as a child that her mother use to read to her before she died of sickness.

She could simply not use the same plan for her father would know exactly what she was trying to do. She decided she would be kidnapped. Writing her father a note, she left this small parchment on his bed with a piece of her hair.

Dear Tarkaan Bandal,
I have your daughter, Zydrelle hostage. If you try to come after her, her throat will be slit the second you leave. If you do not believe me here is a lock of your daughters hair. I will keep in contact with you about my reward, but for your daughter's sake, do not try anything rash. Or it will be cost with her life.

Sincerely,
a bandit
Akoor Torvic

Zydrelle knew that they would waste no time in looking for her, and with that went to the stable and rode out on Yezi. She said goodbye to no one and made her journey towards Anvard where she hoped to find freedom. Meanwhile, her father had found the note, and had ordered posters to be everywhere looking for the now famous (and fake) bandit by the name of Akoor Torvic. Every man was looking for him for the reward money, but no one knew that Zydrelle herself was this bandit.

She decided to futher disguise herself, she would pretend to be a boy by cutting her hair to her shoulders, and be named "Bandal" for her father had always called her by that name anyways. On the way through Teebeth, a very religious town, she heard preists talk of a rebellion. She snuck into the committee and found out there was a secret rebellion against the Tisroc, clearly disliking the Tisroc, and even though she was use to live a lavish life in Tashbaan and could not sympathize with them she joined. To her, this was the only way to really fight against marrying the Tisroc.

Personality: Zydrelle has had a comforted life, but also has lived a life as a warrior at a young age. This caused her to have a strong personality. "Bandal" has always been told she was wise beyond her years for she acts sometimes like a 40 year old. But secretly, she feels just like a kid at heart especially when she goes hunting. She's very strong and brave and thinks lowely of those that are weak, not that she's mean, that is just how she was raised to think. She is like a man when she fights but is still a girl deep down since she admires nice things such as jewelry. She is a very complex character.

Long time since I RPed ^^. I must say I have never read or even heard of the books, but I have Ozy at my side when I need any help ;P

Name: Salorid Diamore

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Male

Age: 46

Status: Former Warrior (Tarkaan)

Hometown: Born in Tashbaan.

Appearance: Click Here. Lose the goggles and the halberd.
Salorid has green/grey eyes and black hair with strokes of grey. His equipment is light so he can move easily, but he it's quality didn't suffer under it's weight. Around his waist he has a piece of cloth in which he can put away his katars.

Abilities: Salorid is great with up close weapons. He had much training, being a former Warrior. Being a smith's son he knows a few smithing basics, but not much.

Weapons: Katars. He uses two of them. They are light and swift. On his back he still carries the long blade that each Tarkaan has. This is for when he stands against bigger or mounted enemies.

Biography: The sky was said to be a brilliant red, combined with the awful noise of screaming voices and metal hitting all sorts of things, including flesh. I did not witness this all. I was out consciously lying somewhere outside the city. How could I let it get this far? My house, my money and my family? Everything was gone? Who am I, you ask? I am Salorid, formerly a Tarkaan warrior. One with a great reputation and a lot of respect. I had it all, and this is my story?

It was twenty-four years ago that I was born. Born in a house of wealth and prosperity. My father was a great blacksmith. I can still remember myself being astounded by all the people that were over the floor. They all had the most expensive clothes or the shiniest armour.
My mother was a beautiful and sweet woman. She was the one who took care of me while my father was working in the smithy. When my dad was not working, he would either tell me stories about his adventures as a young lad, or he would teach me to handle weaponry. I loved my parents and they loved me back. We were a happy family.

When I was around twelve, my dad got me a trainer. As my dad was never really good with any weapon, but his bow, he thought it wisely to let someone else train me. This man was Aifa, just a commoner, but brilliant with any weapon. And so I trained every day after my other lessons. Hours we could spend duelling, although I knew he could win in a few seconds. My skills rose by the day and my ambition with it. One day I would be the greatest warrior in Calormen history.

Years later, I sat in my own house. I had a lovely woman by my side and I had a son. Everything I could wish for, I already owned and nothing could tear this dream apart. Except me?

As I grew older, I lost my ambition. I never spoke or spend time with my wife and my son and only cared for my money. Most of the day you?d find me counting money with a bottle of strong cider next to me. One day I was invited to a party. It all started off nice and all and we all had our portion of cocktails. Eventually we started gambling. I already lost a whole lot of cash when I suddenly grabbed a man?s throat and stomped him in the face, with the message that he was cheating. Me with my numb brains, didn?t realize I had just stomped one of the most important people of Tashbaan. Before I knew it, I was lying somewhere near dead, while my house was burned down with everything in it.

That's eleven years ago. Now I'm wandering around in the scorching sand, doing all kinds of small jobs or deliveries. Yes, I know I was a complete idiot and do not think I don?t curse myself each day for giving up my beautiful life. Ever since then, I had nothing. And having nothing seemed to be even worse then I could have ever thought. I realized that the chaste system that had been here for centuries, was bad. Those who had no money was not even thought of by those who had. I should know.
When I heard about the supposedly upcoming rebellion, I knew that was the only way something would change. And maybe this would be the perfect opportunity for me to make a new start.

Personality: Salorid's age and history make him a torn, yet experienced man. He thinks more than he talks, though pretty often he talks to himself (as result of many years alone in the desert). Ever since he was a few years old he was trained for combat. When he wants to lose steam, you can find him bashing trees or something alike.

Name: Eilania Wynne (ee-lôn-ee-a wine)

Nickname: Wynnelle (to differentiate her from her father), or Tarkheena Wynne. Only those who have known her for a long time (or are very brave) call her by her first name.

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Status: Tarkheena. Her father is a weaponsmith and a Tarkaan, and he has been training her since she was a young girl to follow in his footsteps.

Hometown: Born in Zalindreh, but has lived in Tashbaan for most of her life.

Appearance: Eilania has the dark, tanned skin and deep black hair typical of most Calormen. She wears it long, though usually it?s in some kind of elaborate braid or coif, and it is usually decorated with small metal, beads (detailed with her skilled fingers), that gleam in the sunlight. Her eyes are a caramel brown and according to her father, are just like her mother?s. Apart from the beads in her hair, the only other decoration Eilania wears is in the form of henna tattoos that she does herself, usually around one of her ankles and her wrists. She dresses lightly, seeing as she works with fire constantly, and has a habit of stripping down to the bare essentials that her father is earnestly trying to break her of.

Abilities: Eilania is comfortable with a number of different weapons because of her father?s profession, and is even better at mending and creating them. Her forte, however, is with details ? she is a remarkable craftsman with a steady hand and her designs on blades, armors, and other various metals have quickly gained recognition in Tashbaan. Because of her work with metal, she is also very good with horses. She has a quick wit and prefers to be known for her scheming and intelligence, but that doesn?t hide the fact that she is also a very attractive woman and she knows it. She can and will use that to her advantage, if need be. Thus, Eilania is quick-minded and a strong force to be reckoned with, whether she has any kind of weapon in her hand or not.

Weapons: When she is working as a smith, the only weapon she carries is a dagger strapped to her boot that has her family?s crest engraved into the blade. But she is also fond of a pair of butterfly swords and she?s extremely competent with them. Along with the family crest, a different sort of symbol is engraved in these, amid the crest so it is virtually indistinguishable unless you know what to look for ? the mark of the rebellion.

Biography: The only thing that Eilania remembers about her birthplace (Zalindreh) is that it is where her mother lived and died, and it was not a place that her father, a Tarkaan by the name of Zerish, wanted to remain. That?s also, interestingly enough, the only thing she knows about her mother. He brought his baby girl back with him to the gleaming capital Tashbaan, one of the wonders of the world. She grew up there under his tutelage and learned the ways of the smith so that she would be able to carry on his impeccable work. He never remarried, which though a little strange, was not something completely unheard of among the Tarkaans and so the two lived by themselves.

A very respected weaponsmith under the Tisroc, known to have even made a blade or two for the Tisroc himself, no one would ever suspect Eilania?s father to be a pivotal member of the Calormen rebellion. Though she?d grown up with his teachings about virtue and Calormen (for instance, he believed very strongly in the abolition of slavery and therefore never owned any himself ? any servant who worked for him was always paid very handsomely), Eilania was not made part of the rebellion until she found out about it for herself. The idea had been one that she?d been carrying for quite some time before she gained the courage to mention it to her father. She had expected to be reproached, very strongly so, but instead Zerish?s appraising look eventually gave way to relief, and something akin to pride. She was eighteen then.

For the next five years, she worked hard to perfect her craft and bring honor to the family name, but also poured in time and effort into furthering the rebellion and helped her father build a very strong foundation for it. It has come a long way and she is proud of all that they have been able to accomplish so far, but she knows that there is still so much more they can do if they want to live as freely as those in Narnia and Archenland. Like her father, it is a cause that she would willingly die for. Being the good father that he is, however, Zerish would not like to see his daughter perish if something should go wrong and he has been steadily planning for her to have a life outside of the rebellion, should things ? Azaroth forbid - fall apart. Without her knowing, he has been looking for a decent enough man that he could arrange for her to marry. Someone who, should the rebellion be crushed, could easily and willingly take her away from the deserts and into one of the surrounding countries to live. If there is one other thing that the Tarkaan disbelieves in, it is the tradition of an arranged marriage. He would not like to see her marry for anything else but love, but given the choice, he would rather see her live.

Personality: Eilania is a very intelligent, clever woman and is dedicated to the rebellion, heart and soul (perhaps a little too much, as her father sometimes thinks). She is very passionate in her beliefs and will go to many lengths in order to see them realized. Though most of her life is centered in the rebellion, she is still very proud of her work as a weaponsmith and finds great joy and accomplishment in her careful, detailed works. She is not particularly religious, but of all the gods of her people, the one she prays to is Azaroth, the god of union and difference. After all, Eilania believes that is her purpose ? to make a difference, and to bring the tyranny of the Tisroc (may he NOT live forever) to an end.

The hooded figure of Lord Mugundus took off into the middle of the desert. A sand storm had hit and he needed to take shelter. A large rock stood infront of him, if you hadn't looked at it closely unlike with the badger's cave, you would never have noticed the small round door that led into a room. A room so dark and mysterious it made the centaur's hoofs twitch. It wasn't easy to fit a half-man and half-horse body into such a small area, but somehow he managed.

An old woman led him inside and sat down. "I thought you might be coming around soon, I take it the badger took it well. A little too well." mumbled the woman while sipping what appeared to be herbal tea. "Yes, I'm sure you know why I came. I need to know as much as I can about who is involved in this. The stars tell me there is a group of six..and one that will if the rebellion does indeed prevail, will be the new king and lead Calormen to greatness. He must come from another world. Like the old Narnia tales." explained the centaur who looked greately worried.

"Now now, I'll be getting to that." sniffled the old woman who had a bit of a cold, she picked up a spell book and placed it on the table. "Let's see here...visions...crystal balls...how to use foreshadowing powder...hmm..ah hah!" exclaimed the old woman, who by the way's name was Mrs. Umarna. "What is it?" asked Mugundus for although he knew some magic, he knew nothing about fortunetelling outside of the stars.

"Hush now. I know exactly what I will do. But it must be quiet"Mrs. Umarna stated for now she was sitting in a meditation position. Her eyes rolled back inside her head and she began to mumble words. Mugundus shocked and not knowing what to say, sat and watched. Slowly, for what seemed like forever, she began to speak....

"Someone is riding a horse up ahead....I see a young woman with short black hair..Her name is Zydrelle Bandal, a Tarkheena no doubt from the looks of it, she is in disguise as a boy. But I tell you it isn't working for me, for I can see all her memories. She has run away from her father, and impersonated the bandit Akoor Torvic!" shouted the old woman dramatically and made Mugundus jump. "Why do you have to be so dramatic?" complained Mugundus who was a bit annoyed. "Hush..it makes things more interesting." She said swapping him on the head with her walking stick. He did not respond after that.

"I see two others coming from behind her....both on one war horse horse...a man. A former older Tarkaan warrior who goes by the name of Salorid Diamore. Behind him is a young girl as well. Her name is Jundai. A former slave...a potter. She is different from the others, her look, she must have been born in Anvard. Poor dear. They both seem to be getting along." stated Mrs. Umarna. She took another sip of her tea, wiped the sweat off her face and continued her vision.

"There is an older man, he is walking at a wierd pace, and has a worried look on his face. This man is named Willewik Saveres otherwise known as Nigh. He once was a servant for the Tisroc and then turned into a gardener." explained the old woman and soon after another sip of her tea began to go on. "I see three others coming into my view...another Tarkheena..this one is very passionate. She is great with constructing weapons, she is walking alongside with yet another horse but is holding it by a rope. A young boy is on it. She is followed walking besides a young man of the same age. His name is Ashem Hilt. A thief from the looks of it, he is having an argumental conversation with the Tarkheena. Her name is...Eliania Wynne. The young boy upon the horse I do not know. He has a myserious presence, one that comes from another world. He looks around 12 and must be the chosen one. It will be his task, to slay..the tisroc."

Her eyes rolled back from her head and her breathing became normal. Mugundus let out a breath for he had been listening intensely for the past half an hour. He was speechless. "Zydrelle Bandal, Ashem Hilt, Willewik Saveres, Salorid Diamore, and Eilania Wynne. These are the five guardians. The boy from another world is the chosen one. Together they are the elite six of the rebellion. That is as much as I can tell you." whispered Mrs. Umarna for she too had been shocked by her vision. "Your telling me a Tarkaan, two Tarkheenas, a former slave, two peasants, especially one that works for the tisroc is going to help save us?" said Mugundus grabbing his head, he did not understand it.

"All we can do...is hope...for the future. Let us hope that the boy know what he's doing, for its all up to him...and let his guardians help guide him on his destiny" foretold the fortuneteller, for she worried for the sake of all Calormen.

Hey guys! Sorry I posted such a long thing there, decided to make it
somewhat unique. I just want to say that I was really impressed with
EVERYONE's sign ups and it took me like all day to pick the 5 people out
lol. Whoever did not get picked, that doesn't mean I didn't like your
character, I just found others more detailed since I only have a limited
number I can choose from. Thanks for applying and I should have the
RPG up by monday since I'll be on vacation this weekend. Also, we still
have one slot open for the character of
William Sharp. I realize it may not be desirable to
play a 12 year old boy, but he is a main character in this RPG. I would be really
grateful. If your interested PM me, If not I'll figure something out. Congrats
to those who made it and I'll see you in Calormen!

Love,
Pumpkin
