Tatsubei Yagyu
Well, Kamuro, I know that Biggs and Wedge weren't in ALL the Final Fantasys, but I think its safe to guess that they will be in Final Fantasy XII. ;) And wouldn't you count Kingdom Hearts' Cid in the Final Fantasy Trend? But some that I could name for sure: 1. To go along for the GTA/ Driver Rivalry, in San Andreas, the mission, "Mad Dog's Rhymes," you see a guy playing DRIV3R, saying how much Tanner, the main character, sucks. 2. In Zelda, the Triforce 3. Most of the Mario RPGs (not sure about Paper Mario 1 on the N64, and not two), Bowser and Mario team up for a common goal. 4. Anime games, and sucking alot!!! WHY!!!! You got the story!!! You got the characters!!! Just make the gameplay rock!!!! And then they don't even bring the ones that do rock to America... :animesigh That's all I can think of. :D
2010DigitalBoy
Ratchet and Clank has a running gag involving the plumber. In the first game after you meet him, he just kind of runs off saying see ya later. In Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, after you buy the quark trophy from him, he says, "I have a feeling we'll be meeting again soon" as a hint to R&C 2. In R&C 3, after you sell him all of the sewer crystals, he walks away saying, "see you soon" and sure enough Ratchet Deadlocked is coming up and Ill be damned if he doesn't show up. PWNED
Ok, This Topic is a couple of weeks old but I have decided to contribute once more. Biggs and Wedge also appeared in FF1 when If you randomised the names of the theif and another character then you could come up with the name Wedge for the theif and Biggs for the other guy. Lord Dante
Recurring joke in the Tombi games seems to be that there are always at least 15 events that appear on the adventure jhournal as spaces, but you can find no conceivable way to start them. I do not know if this was done on purpose or not, but damn it can get frustrating.

Anyway, I fought this one while site surfin'! :D There are these things in the Final Fantasy Series, called Moai, based off something that had to do with the moon... FF4, they're actually on the freakin' moon (next to the girl): FF5, Underwater: FF7, in Great Glacier: FF8, spaceship is carrying it: And also, although it's not a FF Game, Vicks (Before he was Biggs) and Wedge were in Chrono Trigger: Just a little extra stuff, one of the most retarded death threats ever, delivered by Garland from FF1: Thinkin' of makin' it meh sig. Thank you for your time. ;)
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Most of the one's I'm familiar with have already been said, Biggs, Wedge and Cid from the Final Fantasy Series, Zelda and Link from Legend of Zelda, Grand Theft Auto vs. Driver as well as series jokes in GTA, and the posters/magazines in Metal Gear Solid. One MGS one that nobody has mentioned so far is "Raiden's" appearance in Snake Eater,
it was beyond satisfying to kick the ever loving crap out of that androgynous being, bury a bullet in his skull, take his things and then stuff him in a locker. Then of course the game goes on the reveal that " Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov" was in fact Thunderbolt's personal you-know-what,
giving us further reason to chortle at his expense. Worms has always had buckets of series jokes ranging from firm favourite weapons the Banana Bombs and Concrete Donkey, to the names of characters within the missions, which are often named after those who helped create the games.
