Cyriel
Hitchhike - This image is just really lovely. The way the light is spreading through the trees is really beautiful, and you just enhanced it with whatever you did to it (because I have no idea what you did ^__^;;). The font is pretty decent too. The only thing is, what are those little white lines on the right side? It looks like you started something there...and then didn't finish it or something. It looks only half-developed, so maybe if you did something more...? But I still love the whole thing. Post-Apocalypse - This is interesting... I like the color schemes, although I have no idea what this is supposed to be. The white things remind me of marshmallows...:animesmil But I really like the bottom left corner of this - it reminds me of the burned down village in Mulan. Renji - This is so...cool! Again, I love the colors - they're just so complimenting to each other, but each stand out in their own. The image behind is also very fitting with this as a whole, it seems. The only thing is...the font, I guess. I'm not really a fan of it, for some reason. But this was cool.
Ezekiel
Good God, how far back was this thread? T.T I bring new stuffs. ?Cherry Lipstick If you're a fan of Jimmy Eat World, you'll recognise the text as two lines from their song "Night Drive" on the Futures album. Jimmy Eat World have really inspiring lyrics (for me, anyway) so I have a lot of graphic ideas to come. ?Ichimaru Gin A little graphic I done when I was bored going along the same theme as the Renji one. I love how the colours turned out. ?Lovely Colours Orange- Silver- Nothing really needs to be said. Silly Graphics=boredom. I may do more of these just for the hell of it. And that's it for now, please C&C ^_^
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. This really is some excellent stuff Jamie, although I feel slightly left out that you didn't do a little graphic for me, just kidding. I use Paint Shop Pro whenever I have it, and by have it I mean when I have a Trial Version that still works, as it's the only program that I've really gotten used to using. Still there's some really great stuff here Jamie, and I look forward to seeing more of it over the coming weeks and months.
Ezekiel
I was still making small graphics, I swear! I just...kind of...got lazy XD Thanks for your warm comments, Gavin, we need to talk on AIM more. :< ?Random Banners ?Speak Up Another J.E.W inspired graphic. The lyrics are from "Kill", on the Futures album. I'm probably using this for a banner when I get bored of my flowery one. ?Nothing Wrong Yet another J.E.W inspired graphic. Lyrics from "Nothing Wrong", also off of the Futures album. Man, I love those guys. c&c is loved.
Retribution
Ooh. Cool random banners. <3ness. Random Banners [1] Looks pretty good. I?m loving the colors, and those grainish-colorized circles are what makes the banner. I?m not a big fan of ?elevation.? Probably it?s font first and foremost; it being transparent doesn?t help me read it in the least. I would recommend something a bit more solid, and from there, working on placement. I really have no idea where to set the typo. [2] The colors are pretty harmonious, but the vast black space makes this mini-banner feel disconnected, if you have any idea what I?m rambling about there. The ?radioactive? symbol is hard to find? I have to hunt around for it. Perhaps it would be better suited in white or yellow? It would also be perfect for a focal point. [3] Just. Pure. Love. I mean, that?s the emotion that?s radiating from this, and that?s my opinion on the craftsmanship (craftswomanship? haha). Slightly less harsh pinks would be better on my ?ol eyes, but that?s very minor. Excellent job on this one. Bigger? Stuff. (Heh. Lame sub-heading) Speak Up This feels very chaotic, perhaps showing ones inner turmoil dealing with this emotion. However, I can?t really make out any defined shapes, and my eyes don?t have a thing to rest upon (stock? focal point?). The typography is definitely getting your point across quite legibly, but it feels stoic as well. I think this would be more powerful than ever if you had sloppy handwriting on this, showing their frantic mental state and pouring out of thoughts. Nothing Wrong Hm. Makes me think. Partially because I have no idea what the quote means out of context, but also for the purpose of finding a driving emotion behind this (since your art seems to usually carry emotions to it). I sense denial from the ?Nothing Wrong? that?s glowing in the corner. I think the pixel font carries your message across very well? but I?m not sure why it works here but not in the banner above. Sorry about that. It?s kind of an artist?s intuition, you know? I happen to find this piece solid, but I don?t really know what to say about it.
Ezekiel
Thanks for your comments, Retri. Always a joy to read. Just one update this time, and a link to follow as the picture would be too big otherwise. This is a CG I just recently finished (I fixed the skin, Alex). Some of you may think the colours clash, I assure you, it's supposed to be this way...as this characters is extremely wacky. Yes, that eye-patch is indeed stapled on. He?s one of my bad guys...he?s just a little bit...flamboyant ^_^; Clicketh. He needs a name, too...any ideas?
Gavin
Clicketh. He needs a name, too...any ideas?
Well Eye-Patch Guy certainly won't do, though if he's flamboyant then his name is going to have to reflect that. I'm thinking Julian or Gabriel, maybe Cameron, match his wacko personality with a slightly uncommon yet slightly ostentatious name.
