Hello u all........... this is the drawing I'm working on right now. and the sketch gives an idea on how I'm gonna work with light and shades......... hope you guys liked it. I've been trying new styles and in this one I chose not to go for what I love the most - HAIR - and invest a little more on the clothing and posture. please, give me feedback.

Edit: finally done!!!! Not quite the way I expected bu it's okay. I would like a lot of suggestions in terms of the colors since I did notlike them very much hehe.

You should come up with a manga or something.

I love his hair color!

One thing though, the was his nose connects with his mouth doesn't seem right.
It looks almost like a profile view of the nose, but an angled view of the face.

u know, I work on the phones all day... so I ought to do something as I'm talking to people. this is a little something I've done for the past week. I love shading pencil drawings (when I actually get it right of course). hope u guys can help me improve. I need ideas for the background.

I really like your drawing style. Not conventional manga style, which is great. I can just tell how comfortable and practiced you are because of the last two sketches of the girls. :] Post more and post often![/color]

wow. you have a really nice drawing style. you have a great sense of proportions and I'm definitely liking the details in the clothing. I also really like how you draw the eyes and hands. It takes a lot of practice to be able to draw really nice hands like yours. You must've worked really hard to get this good. :) I'm jealous.

please, I'm not sure about the colours, let me know what you think, and back grounds were never my strongest point... constructive criticism the most welcom here

I don't like the colors.
I mean, why would someone with a sword - or what looks to be a small daggar - where that type of clothing?

i appreciate the comment but the clothes were not my choice, if you read the post you'll see i redesigned someone else's character......... blame him for the clothing hehehhe.

Thank you, dear han ki-tae. Because of your rendition of [i]Beach Girl[/i], I've decided to hunt for a similar swimsuit, abuse it the next time I go to the beach and buy myself a strawberry twirl.

What can I say? Your version is most definitely better than what I posted in [i][game] Draw my character[/i]! Her eyes are the exact shade of purple I had in mind, and your drawing's giving off some really tropical vibes. And wow, you changed her pose in the colored version! I likesss it very much! Yes, yes.[/COLOR]

I don't like the way you coloured it. The colours are nice, but the lines look grainy. I think you should clean the picture up more before you colour it next time.

Also, the way some of the items are outlined and some aren't irks me a bit. I guess it's not a major issue, but it feels weird that the girl is outlined, but the flower isn't.

The drawing is nice, but strange in certain areas. The neck looks bent, the shoulders are twice the width of the stomach (though this could be attributed to style), and some of the areas are sketchy while some are well defined. The last complaint would be dismissable in a sketch, or line drawing, but for a CG piece, I think you should be more consitant.

Lastly, although you did this fairly well, there are some horizontal lines on the swimsuit that look like they should be broken by the folds, but aren't. Again, not a big deal, and it could just be me over analyzing like I usually do. ^^

Hello there. Glad you liked it delta. now about the complaints you are more than right. I have a huge problem with tracing and working with outlines when the file is tranfered to the PC. but I'll get over it. if you have any tips on how to get better at it it would be great. PM me later if you want.

now, here goes another piece. not finished, i used a bic pen for the outline so YES it is grainy. putting that aside please let me know what you think of it. prizzzzzzzzzz...

I usually love your sketches and drawings. For this one in particular, (WARNING --- This will sound wrong) there is something about the boobs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be perverted. I find the female chest very difficult to draw realistically, and it seems to be one of the things you do with ease.

I also like the way you did the fabric on the dress and the scarf. The only thing I could say I don't like would be the ear. It seems a little low and small compared to the eyes and nose. But really, I have to strain myself to find anything I don't like about this picture.

I hope you don't think I was too harsh in my previous post. I just try to be as honest as I can in hopes that I can help. ~ :animedepr

I have been drawing forever... hehhe just kidding. Actually the reason why I started drawing is pretty patetic: I liked a girl that LOVED anime. I was seventeen back then (7yrs from now). It was in brazil still, but the first anime I actually watched was Street Fighter Victory, that was re airing in Brazil at that time.

You nailed this stuff. Great work.

The only commentary I'd have is that poker girl has an alcoholic's amount of scotch in her glass, and I think more of an intriguing look would work best when sharing a deck of cards and a gallon of liquor. You already used dynamics in eyebrow height, but I think a bit more to the "your move" kind of gaze would look awesome.

Aside than that, you basically rock.
