Ooc: So much for leaving silently, :animesigh lol...

Vice trudged up the hill, he did now want to run. He'd been walking for at least ten hours by now. It wasn't raining anymore but everything was still damp, and the sky was still covered in clouds.

"Longer than I thought..." Vice grumbled, his arms swaying back and forth in unison as he slowly but steadily made his way to where he saw Daergar going last. "I don't even know where to meet them..." Vice stopped. He looked up and stared at what appeared to be some sort of shop.

Perhaps they've seen him.

Vice walked up to the shop and reached the entrance just as Daergar was leaving.

"..." There was an awkward silence and then they finally realized who they were looking at.

"What's that?" Vice gestured at the rolled up parchment.

"Map." Daergar replied simply.

"..." There was another awkward silence.

"So what happened while I was gone?"

"Oh, not much, I figured out that we were being watched the whole time. I told them to escape stealthily but..."

"Watched?"

"Yeah, that abandoned bar you told me about earlier, turns out it wasn't as abandoned as everyone thought..."

"So where are they now?" Daergar questioned.

"..." Vice was silent.

"What?! We're at least ten hours away from them and you didn't set up a metting point?!"

"...Well, I was a bit preoccupied, but we can probably meet them if we can find out where they're going next."

"Right." Daergar agreed, he unrolled the map and they both studied it carefully.

"Funny, according to this map, we're surrounded by shadows on all sides right now." Vice looked at it more carefully, then shot out his finger. "There it is!" He pointed to a small shape on the map that stood next to a building called "Icewind Inn".

"If they know what they're doing, they'll go there next."

ooc: I don't know where we're going next so I just left it at that. :animesigh Kayin maybe you could meet up with us soon so we have a group of three and they have a group of four untill we meet.

OOC: I'll do what I can.

IC: Hiro left the bar after spotting the damage left by someone else. He had been walking for some time and it was nearing the morning. He looked up ahead in his path and spotted a shop with two men standing outside. Each of them was carrying a weapon of some sort. Maybe they'll know about what's going on but I'd best be on my guard. He thought as he started to approach the two. The two men looked up from their map and over at Hiro. Hiro let himself ready to grab his sword. "Do you two know anything about the warriors who were called to Targos?"

The brown haired one raised an eyebrow, "It depends on who's asking...."

"My name is Hiro....I was called to Targos to defend against Chimera." Hiro said firmly.

"Hm...Looks like he's a part of our group too Daergar." The red haired fellow said, studying the halfing in front of them. "Name's Vice..."

"I'm Daergar....welcome aboard....even though someone was too foolish to set up a meeting point with the others...." He said, glancing at Vice.

"I told you I was preoccupied...." Vice said returning Daergar's look.

Hiro looked at the two confused, "Well...is there any likely place that the others will go?"

"Well we were just talking about that...We're gonna head to Icewind Inn....more than likely, they'll show up there if they know what they're doing." Daergar said, showing Hiro the location of the inn on the map.

"I see...." Hiro looked at Vice. Hm? I thought they were both human....something's different about Vice.... he thought as he glanced back toward Daergar. "So should we start now?" Hiro asked.

"That would be best....The sooner we leave the better..." Vice replied.

"Let's get moving then." Daergar said, rolling up the map. Hiro nodded and followed the two on the path for Icewind Inn.

OOC2: How was that?

"Well, looks like we've been abandoned." Ky mused. "Can't say I'm all too surprised. Now what?"

Hue spoke up, "If I'm right, they're heading towards Icewind Inn. It's about ten hours by foot and four or fiver by horse."

"Well ok then, who's gonna pony up the Fees for the horses?" Ky asked, pun intended.

The others groaned.

"I'll do it. I can probably get a discount, anyway." Hue said. "And Ky, please...no more puns. You kinda suck at comedy."

Hue turned away and began walking towards the Stables.

"Burned..." Ky laughed. "Hey, Shea'ann...can I talk to you for a minute? I'm not doubting or questioning your intenetions or anything, it's just that people rarely do nice things for me seeing as how I'm a Rouge. Don't get me wrong I appreciate what you do for me, but I don't want to be a burden to you either. Oh, and earlier when you mentioned something about your heritage. You being a half-Drow doesn't bother me a bit. You're a good person, I can tell. Just because you're part Drow doesn't automatically make you bad, your actions do that for you. Besides, your darkened skin gives you kind of an exotic sexiness to you. Oh, that reminds me, I still owe you for the other night."

Ky reached into his pocket and handed her three sliver pieces that he had found on the street.

"And this," He said before kissing her lightly on the forehead. "Makes us even. C'mon, we should hurry up before Hue suspects something."

Shea'ann nodded.

Hue made her way to the stables, hoping the men there would not give her a hard time. "Hello there..i need three horses" She said pulling put 3 gold coins. The men begain to laugh.

"Ohh dear now what have we here? A pretty little Tiefling aint she fellas?" rumbling laughs came from the men.

"Im not here to start trouble just give me three of your best horses and ill be on my way," She said throwing the money onto the ground. The men looked at her smiles crossed their faces.

"I think we'll need alittle more then that sweetheart," he grabbed Hues arm squeezing it tight.

"Get your hands off me!" Hue said flipping the man over and onto the ground. The other men came at her and she quickly grabbed her fluit. "I didnt want to do this but you leave me no choice," She put the fluit up to her mouth, breathing in she begain to play a small tune. The men stopped and all of a sudden their skin begain to streach. Their bones you could hear cracking as the men begain to turn into mice.

"Their that will teach you never to mess with Hue Darkfade," she said grabbing her coins off the ground. Just as she was about to leave Ky and Shea'ann can running up next to her. "I got us our horses and guess what...their free," she said smiling as she climbed up onto her horse.

Hue didnt know what to do next. Ky and Shea'ann had no problem getting their horse to move but Hue had never learned how to rife one. Ky looked at her,"Are you coming or are you just going to sit there?"

"Well I....I've never rode a horse before so...umm your going to have to help me out here," she said a nervous look on her face.

"What!" Ky started laughing. Shea'ann shot him a look and turned to Hue smiling.

"Ok now grab the rains and kick the side of the horse lightly," Hue did just that and the horse started to galoup. After a few practice runs Hue and the rest of them made there way to Icewind Inn.

Jura looked up at thte ligthening sky and sighed.
"I suppose we had better get moving...even if we are soaked to the bone...damn weather..."
She stood and began to gather her things when Cain came up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her gently.
"I thank you."
Jura blinked and spun in his arms.
"Your welcome I guess."
She slipped away and walked over to the horse where she hitched the pack of food she had gathered befoer the rain had started that night.
"We should get moving, I'm sure the others are getting worried..."
she climbed up on the horse and held a hand out to Cain.
"It's 10 hours to Icewind Inn, I'm sure the others are heading there them-sleves. 10 hours on foot, 4 to 5 on horse. We'll have to make it in about two days, two people on one horse...The others will wait, or at least they should..."
She kicked the horse gently in the ribs making it trot and than harder making it turn to a canter.
"I figer if we stay at this pace we can save the horse from going lame and save us a walk on foot."
He nodded and she looked ahead.
"Do you think the others are alright?"
"I'm sure they are."
She nodded and relaxed alittle into his chest as they rode.
"I wish I knew what all this meant, why they're after me, after my crew...'
She looked up at the sky, it was a dull grey and thick with the smell of rain.
"This weather isn't over yet...We're in for a bad storm as we go..."
She looke towards their destanation and saw the clouds go black. The wind was still gusting.
"This could get bad. I don't know much, but I know for a fact, that's not a good sign."
they continued on as the morning sky grew darker. One thing going through Jura's mind

As they rode, Shea'ann tried to keep an overt eye on Hue. She still was unsteady on her seat, although her riding skills had greatly improved over the miles. The tiefling seemed troubled about things other than the horse beneath her and the roughs at the stable. The cleric did not want to pry, however, so she let the subject be till Hue was ready to talk -- if she ever was. As for Ky . . .

"You know what you said earlier, about people not doing nice things for rogues? Well, I'm a cleric of Lathander, and doing nice things is part of who I am. Besides, my life has been saved over and over by rogues who knew their business and endangered more times than I care to count by 'honorable' knights who didn't know a trap if it bit them -- which it usually did." She looked into his eyes candidly, then blushed deep enough for it to show over her dark complexion. "And, uh, I think a sneaky guy in tight leather and knives a damn sight sexier than a muscle-bound bruiser in a metal suit."

At that point, Hue's horse shied at a distant dog bark, and gave Shea'ann a convienent means of escape from Ky's raised eyebrows and startled expression as she rode forward to help the tiefling calm the flightly beast. After they had gotten it settled, Hue resumed her position at point, since she knew were they were going more than any other reason, and that left Shea'ann to drop back and ride next to the rogue again. She sat in silence, hoping he didn't hate her now. She had been more forward with him than anyone else in her life, and she didn't know how he would react. She just wanted him to say something, even if it was to push her away.

He looked at her and kissed her neck. He sighed.

"They aren't after you or your crew...They're after....after...me..."

He looked down and thought deeply.

"Do you remember your father?"

As she nodded, he replied.

"I've known your father and you for a long time. I was once known as Jax Riever..."

As her eyes widdened, he continued.

"Your father left me a letter that told me to find you again and protect you... I still love you... So I... I will let them have me..."

Jura yanked the riens back fiercly making the hore stop.
"That is who you remind me of, Jax...we grew up together you were our neighbor...than one day you disappered..."
She jumped off her horse and began to pace beside it.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
she shook her head, never mind..."
Lightening stresked across the sky as the storm finally set in as she said.
"We have to get out of this."
He jumped down beside her and walked behind her as she led the horse to a small cavern not to far away.
"If the others are in this they're stupid..."
she pulled dreid wood from under and tree and walked back in to see Cain take off his cloak and lay in on the ground to fry.
"I got some wood, i'll start a fire...we amy be here a while..."
she set the wood on fire easily with her magic and sighed.
"So why didn't you tell me?"
She looked at him ,water running down her cheeks and arms from her soaked hair, she took off her over shirt and wrung it out waiting for a reply putting it on the ground as well. She took off her boots and set them by the fire.
"Well?"

"Because that was another thing in the letter. Not to tell you... He didn't want me to be close again... He knew I would always love you and always wait... He wanted you to find a better love and me.. me just watch as you slipped away..."

He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He pulled her tight and kissed her.

"Sorry for the secret... I wanted to tell you, but I thought you would probably have told me you had stopped loving me..."

Jura ran her hand across his face and through his hair, she saw in her mind the little boy that she played with as a child, her first kiss, her first love. And now he was here. she frowned and looked at him now, he had grown to be so quiet...so alone. she pulled away from him and walked to the edge of the cave and watched it rain.
"You know, when you left, I thought it was me, I thought you didn't like me like you said you did. I grew to be cold like my father, and I trained so hard...then my brother died and that made things worse, I wished for you so many times. But I knew you were gone...so I just did the only thing I knew, I cried..."
She turned back to him and sighed.
"It hurt but I got through it. But your here now..."
She walked over to him and hugged him.
"And for that I'm glad..."

The words kept playing with his mind, "I think a sneaky guy in tight leather and knives a damn sight sexier than a muscle-bound bruiser in a metal suit."

"Seriously? Huh, all this time I thought I never stood a chance. Maybe once we reach the Inn and I 'pick up' a few coins, I could treat you to dinner perhaps? Just an offer, I won't feel bad if you decline."

Ky was interrupted by a distant rumble of thunder.

"That...can't be good. We either keep going, and get drenched along the way. Or seek shelter and hope that the horses don't get spooked and run. Either way, the end result will more than likely suck."

A light drizzle started falling.

"Hey guys, it's raining pretty hard further ahead." Hue said.

"I figured as much. About how long have we been riding?" Ky groaned.

"About two or three hours. Why?"

"That mean's were smack dab in the middle of nowhere with one badass storm comin' our way. Ladies, I do believe that we are indeed...boned."

Vice, Daergar, and Hiro had also been walking for 3 hours, however, not being on horses they were a considerable distance behind. Vice looked up at the coming storm.

"Just so you all know, I can't use my magic when I'm wet. Water and all..." He grumbled

"Bad news, then, there's a storm ahead." Hiro pointed at the dark and threatening clouds.

"Exactly. That is why I suggest..." Vice pointed to the Szoark Mountain.

"Are you crazy? The things up there... They're not human." Daergar warned.

"Well to tell you the truth." Hiro pointed out. "We have an elf a teifling and a human, we're not all that normal ourselves." Daergar scowled at Hiro. "Just saying." Hiro shrugged.

"Besides." Vice pointed out. "With all their powers I'm sure they're considerably farther than us. If we continue on our way it will take 7 more hours, over the mountain it will only take four."

"It's cold." Daergar pointed out.

"Well whatever, we'll make due."

"How will we get up the cliffs?"

"I have earth magic. Defensive but they can be used to raise things." Hiro interrupted.

"There. See?" Vice replied. "Now, I'm going and you should follow if you know what is right."

Daergar crossed his arms. "Have fun."

Fortunately, Hiro had just met the group and he didn't want to fall behind already so he followed on the shorter path.

"What? Don't just leave me here."

"Follow." They both motioned in unison.

Daergar sighed.

Ooc: Mk well I didn't want to go through the storm and since you guys have ponies I decided we needed a way to even out the time lapse. Plus, snow will be fun. :D
And full of monsters needless to say... *cough*mountain trolls, mammoths, etc*cough*

"Dinner would have been nice." Shea'ann sighed whistfully. "Well, I do have a shelter spell, which would keep off the wet, cold, and wind, but we would have to get really cozy. It's usually intended for only one, maybe two, people -- wingless people. Sorry, Hue, but butterfly wings aren't normally taken into consideration." she apologized.

"I'm used to it." Hue repled. "So what, exactly, does this spell do? I've never heard of that type of shelter."

"Well, it forms a protective bubble around the chosen person, like a shield-spell, only this one will keep out the elements, where an ordinary shield-spell won't. It will keep you relatively warm and comforable for eight hours, but if you move outside the shelter, it will pop and that's the end of the spell. You can even darken it to shadow if you need to hide, or make it completely clear if you need to see what's going on around you -- just say 'dark' or 'dawn' for the effect you want. I've only gotten the spell from Lathander recently, so I'm still new to it, and it takes a lot of my power to cast."

"So what are you getting at? Can you cast it on us or not?" Ky asked.

"Yeah, I can, but only twice -- once on myself, and once on one other person. My magic will be renewed when I pray at dawn, but till then, two people will have to get close. If we tie the horses up in that copse of trees and hobble thier legs, they shouldn't be able to bolt, either. Sorry I can't do more." A fat drop of rain splashed on Shea'ann's nose, making her blink. "It takes a bit of time to cast, so quick, deside who gets the other spell cast on them and who is doubling up with whom."

"I don't think we should stop. I can try and hold off the weather but i don't know how happy the rain goddess would be with me, and i could possibaly make things worse" Hue said looking at the others.

"Rain goddess?" Ky said giving Hue an are you kidding look.

"Yes, The rain Goddess is one of the many goddess i worship, and trust me you wouldnt want to get her mad,"

"Well maybe we can find a cave to take shelter in?" Shea'ann said looking around.

"I think that would be the best plan."

They were next to a mountain so there had to be a cave of some sort. They begain to ride along the edge of the mountain hoping to find shelter. All of a sudden Hues horse begain to make a fuss, throwing Hue off. "What? Hey whats wrong with it?" she said trying to calm it down. The horse kicked Hue in the gut and started running off in the opposite direction. As Hue landed she fell right threw the ground and into a hole.

"Oh my god! Hue are you all right," Shea'ann said running over to the hole.

"Yah i think im ok," Standing up Hue begain to look around, " Hey guys this looks like a tunnel, it may lead to the other side of the mountain. Exactly where we need to go." She called up to the others.

"Or it could just be a dead end and a waste of our time" Ky said in a smartass tone.

"No im pretty sure it goes stright threw." said Hue in a convincing tone.

"I think its a good idea, plus we'll be out of the storm when it hits," Shea'ann said climbing down to join Hue.

"Are you coming or are you going to go around the mountain...by yourself?"

Ky rolled his eyes and soon joined Hue and Shea'ann as they made their way through the dark and bleak tunnel.

"I didn't want to leave... Ever sence my mother was killed, my dad wanted revenge. He joined the Black Dragons, because he knew he would be able to get his revenge... I begged, I pleaded, I even jumped off the horse as it was bolting away... Still he took me away from you... I waited forever, even joined myself. Thought it might lead me to you. Then I got this letter from your father. It said he was dead if I was reading it. It said if I promised to watch you, take care of you, protect you, I could see you. I immediatly was joyed. But it said it had one condition... You were not to know who I trully am. I didn't even have to think. I accepted. I wanted to see you. Some men your father hired made me swear to the terms. So I did, and they told me the consiquences were... I would be taken away from you and both of us handed over to the Chimera...It told me I was to follow instructions to get to you, starting with challeging and eliminating the leader of the Black Dragons. I did, because it ment seeing you and what you've become. When I challenged the leader, he just laughed so...so... I severed his head in one slice. Then after two years, I had word of a women organizing a group of special beings to save the ten towns. I had protected the towns for two years, so I was going to help. Espesally when I found out it was you.I have wanted to tell you who I am... but I couldn't. I'm so sorry..."

He held her tight.

"I am glad to be with you once again...forever. Right? I mean is that what you want?"

He looked at her.

"I am glad you know who I really am..."

Jura looked at him and smiled, she suddenly cringed and hid her-self in his chest as lighting struck outside the cave and thunder boomed not far behind.
"I guess we're here for a while..."
She walked away from the entrance and further into the cave.
"I wonder if everyone else is okay? I wonder if they all got out ok...and where they're at..."
He looked at her and she smiled.
"Your right, theyre fine..."
She laughed, she knew what he was saying with out him speaking, just like before. She felt his cloak and sighed as she found it was dry and sat down on it looking into the fire.
"That is what I want...to be with you forever. But who knows what will happen when I find Chimera..."
she just stared at the fire and jumped slightly as she felt him sit behind her.
"Who knows what will happen to us...hopefull nothing..."
She pulled a piece of her damp hair over her shoulder and began to play with it as she used to do as a child around him.

"You hope nothing.. I hope something. Something wonderful... Although it's already perfect, because I am with you."

He pulls her close. Holding her tight and breathing softly on her neck.

"I won't let anything happen to you. Now that I've found you, I'm not gonna lose you again. I love you too much. Too much to leave you, let alone lose you... I will protect you at all costs."

He softly kisses down her neck as he slides his fingers through her wet hair.

"We will be together forever... You know they say, forever is a time, eternity is perminate... I'd like to be yours for eternity. For that is how long my love for you will last."

He pointed at the entrence and muttered a few words. It sealed with shadow.

"Nothing can get in or see in, but anything can get out. Including the smoke..."

Jura looked at him and smiled, she leaned forward and kissed him slowly, now that she knew who he was, she didn't want to rush things... She put one hand on the side of his face and scooted closer, still kissing him.
"Cain..or Jax...what should I call you?"
she looked at him blushing...
"Promise me that you'll never leave me...I don't think I could stand losing you agian..."
She looked up at him, her eyes pleading for the answer she wanted.

"And I mean it. Every word. I am glad to be back in your life. And I am not about to screw that up. I promise... my love."

Jura relaxed back against him adn sighed, she put her head back on his shoulder and turned her head so she could kiss his neck gently, she ran a hand up and down his arm, still kissing.
"Cain...I love you, I always have..."
She wrapped his arm around her and just lay her head agianst his shoulder, glad that something in her life was going right for a change. She stared at the fire as he hled her and felt happy, and safe for the first time in a while, she took a deep breath taking in his scent. she closed her eyes and just stay there.

He rested his head softly on hers. He kissed her forhead and hugged her softly.

"I am here to stay... with you."

He sat there watching her. He smiled the biggest smile he has ever done. He found his home... well his partner anyway. He felt the warmth of her body and the beat of her heart. He knew she was finally relaxed. Relaxed in a lifetime of stress.

She sighed.
"I would if I could, but I'm not sleepy..."
She sat up and looked at him, she really wasn't tired.
"I'm relaxed, but not tired."
She sterched and lay down infront of him on his cloak, her head turned with her looking into the fire again. She slowly reached out and put her hand into it playing in the flames, the movment of them tickleing her hand. she smiled and looked up at Cain.
"I learned that not to long after you left...since I was so mad at our parents, and depressed, I burnt our barn down, thinking I could burn my-self, but no, my body acted at will, so I can play in fire..."
She laughed lightly thinking of how silly that sounded. She put her arms behind her head streched out. She looked up at Cain.
"So you've been in Targos this whole time...wish I had known..."
she smiled gently at him.

"Wow. I got mine after my dad took me away. I was so depressed that i hid in the shadows and the dark for most of my life. I was able to call upon the darkness and wield it. I was always in the dark. No one could even hear from me, let alone see me. I was going to find you and keep us together forever. You were what kept me alive. Kept me going...Now that I've found you I am happy once again. I feel alive."

"I'm glad."
She got up and streched.
"I'll be right back gonna go see if it's stoped."
she walked out and just as quickly ran back in.
"I'ts not over..."
she was dripping wet, soaked through to the bone. she shivered slightly as she approched the fire agian, she sat on the ground so as to not get his cloak wet again. She looked at it and yanked it out from under him and threw it over her-self and he saw her pants and shirt come from under it to l;ay by the fire, her head emerged as well as she tied it around her, making it look like a long gown, she wrung out her hair and began to run her fingers through it trieing to smooth it out.
"Hope it lets up soon..."
She looked at him and saw that his eyes were locked on her.
"What?"
She blinked as he continued to stare.

He walked over to her and hugged her. He pulled her tight and kissed her.

"When this is all over... what will we do? What will you..do?"

He held her close as she cuddled with him.

"I've kept this...with me the whole time...In case I ever saw you again..."

He reached into the pocket of his robe and pulled out a small black box. He opened her hand and plased the box in it. He opened the box to reveal a ring.

"I want you to hold onto it. I wanted to, and still want to, ask you to marry me... But if its too early...then just hold onto it.. ok?"
